A/N: I really love "Rocky Road". This episode is exactly what I want to see! There're some really cute CaptainSwan shots and I love them even more! So I'm trying to write some more sweet moments, which are inspired by "Rocky Road" and the promo for 4x04. I hope you'll enjoy this chapter!

Reconciliation

Just as Emma was devouring her breakfast after spending a night in the bathroom throwing up the food she ate in the previous day, she heard a familiar voice.

"Slow down on the food, love."

It was Hook. She hadn't seen him for four days, but it felt like a lifetime. She was delighted to see him. He's finally back. "Hook! Where have you been?"

"The night after we met on the docks, I had a hangover and slept in the boathouse nearby." He explained his whereabouts but intentionally left out the part where he met Vera. He thought that it wasn't the right time for her to find out the relationship between them, not when she's pregnant. "I'm so sorry, love. I shouldn't have walked away like that. That was an over-reaction. I don't care about the bloody meeting with the doctor. I care about you." He drew closer to her. "I missed you, love," he whispered to her ear, and kissed her on her cheek.

After the two reconciled, Hook joined her for breakfast. "Do you want to see the photo of the baby? The doctor made one for me, "she asked, simultaneously taking the photo out.

"Let me see it." He studied the photo, only to discover a round thing on it. "You mean this is our baby?" He seemed doubtful.

"I'm eight weeks pregnant. The baby won't be fully developed until I'm seven or… or eight months along," she teased. "You'll see lots of these photos in the future, don't worry about it."

She halted Ruby when she saw her walking past the booth. "Hey Ruby, can I have another plate of scrambled eggs, please?"

"Sure, it won't take long," she replied, and yelled towards the kitchen afterwards. "Scrambled eggs!'

"You sure you want to have another plate, love?" He raised an eyebrow. "You just finished a big plate full of food."

"I'm hungry!" Ruby brought over a plate of scrambled eggs in the meantime. "And don't forget that I'm eating for two," she said, while pointing at her stomach.

He gestured her to continue. "Carry on, love," he clearly backed down on this one.

Unbeknownst to Emma, all Hook could think of at the moment was how to protect the woman he loved from an insane ex-lover. He knew Vera could resort to unpredictable means when it came to things or people she loved. He needed to come up with a plan to deal with this crazy woman.

After they finished breakfast, Hook insisted on escorting Emma to the sheriff station because he didn't want her to run into any danger (and by danger he implied the possibility of Vera doing something nasty to Emma), even though she didn't see the need for him to. She protested at first but was rejoiced at the thought that he was so protective of her.

"Just let me go with you, love. What's the harm anyway?" He questioned, with a hint of reasonableness in his tone. Reason really did work on Emma. She finally agreed to have him accompany her back to the station.

Later that night after Emma came home from work, she decided to enjoy the comfort of home rather than go out for dinner.

"Hey pirate, wanna order pizza for dinner and see what's on TV?" She asked while approaching the lazy man lying on the couch, clearly daydreaming.

"Despite the fact that I don't know what a pizza is, I'm thrilled to try one," he said, curling his lips into a charming grin, "and I will try anything offered by the stunning lady over here."

After they finished their pizza dinner, they cuddled on the couch and he had his good arm on her stomach while the images on the TV screen kept flickering. Inhaling the sweet scent of his Emma, it reminded him of how long he hadn't been "intimate" with her. "God Emma, I missed you. I missed you so much." Just as he was about to make advances to her, she promptly broke loose. "You're gonna have to wait for a few more weeks," she said. "The doctor said it'd be much safer to do it after 12 weeks."

He reluctantly nodded.

"Plus," she continued, "you're a grown man who can take care of himself. You know what to do," she teased. "However," she paused, while walking towards the fridge, "you can have another kind of dessert." She took out a carton of chocolate ice-cream and offered him the carton. "Try this. It's really good."

After he opened the lid and took a look at the content inside, "It looks like a box of frozen mud!" he exclaimed.

Knowing Killian Jones for almost a year made Emma inured to Captain Hook freaking out when he saw or experience things from the modern world. "Just try it," she urged.

As he hesitantly put a spoonful of what he called "frozen mud" into his mouth, he soon liked the taste of it, especially when the flavorful, sweet ice-cream melted on his taste buds.

"See? I told you it's good." Her smile turned into a bigger grin when she saw Killian enjoying his dessert.

"This may look like frozen mud, but it surely tastes good." He paused for a bit and slowly moved his gaze from his newly-found-delicious dessert to his love's pregnant stomach. "So, how's my love doing?"

"Same as usual. I'm tired all the time, running to the bathroom twenty times a day. It's really tiring to make a baby," she exhaled. "Speaking of which," she yawned quietly, "I think I'm calling it a day."

They ended up going to bed together. Emma had her head cradled on his firm chest, quickly drifting off to sleep…

Any thoughts?
