Chapter10:The Cold War(Rise of Superpowers)
Throughout the course of the course of WW3,the Confederated Russian Empire remained the greatest superpower,eclipsing rivals in decline and now defeated and no more - America.But instantly after the war it was becoming apparent that Russia's celebration as the sole Hyperpower of the world would not last.The ISA(Independent State of Azania)had clearly gained enormous influence fresh off the war,with Azanian Companies thriving on a global scale that even surpassed Russia and its empire.Thus leading the Japanese and Italians to recognize the Azanian Economy as being the strongest in the world,and although the CRE maintained its position of having the most powerfullest Armed Forces in the world,Azanian technology globally and even within the CRE itself was thriving and it was clear only the Azanian Military could challenge the might of the Russian Empire.By 2026,January the ISA was declared the Second Strongest Military Force in the world,ajd longtime Premier Supreme Jabulani Mashinini insisted the country continue its militarism under the True Transformation Act,which was still active.Before the war the Russians were producing more than 80% of the word's Rareethrum supply,but after the war the ISA was producing more than 40% of the world's supply,chopping into half the Russians biggest source of economic mantainance and giving the Azanian economy a major boost.This caused tensions between the ISA and the ever observant CRE,which had begun in the Kyotto Convocation.This was not good for their alliance.
Although the CRE had around 134 000 active Nuclear Warheads(a major factor for their world leading status in Military),the Azanians had different weapons.Terrefying Cosmic Nuclear Warheads,the Azanians had yet to develop the kind of technology to produce a single Atomic bomb but they had before the war built technology which produced an even more horrifyingly destructive power.Cosmic Bombs were set to be by ratio 25-40 stronger the Atomic and even H-bomb,and this power was orooroven true when about half of Australia was laid to waste during the war by just one.The Azanians prior to the war had around 300 of these,but after the GREAT WAR it was clear the Azanians were set on building more having about five hundred and increasing,and the Russians did not like this.Upon hearing of this,the Tsar instantly ordered Russian Scientists to make it their first priority to produce Russia's first Cosmic bomb,believing Russian technology was superior.After the end of the war,the Russians had opted to confiscate alone without splitting the nuclear bombs of what was the USA,the Premier Supreme was furious,and the Azanians stopped the construction of the ISA Embassy in Moscow and withdrew the several investments in Russia helping the nation's economy recover,the Russians replied by doing the same but it made no difference,this only made tensions between two even higher.When both Italy and Japan was providing aid for Russia to help clean the Nuclear devastation,the Azanians refused to help,using "self-development FIRST" as an excuse for kicking an old friend in the curb.
Arguments about the nuclear bombs of defeated Nations had ended,and Italy had 317 Active Nuclear Warheads,Japan had 358 Active Warheads with Azania getting 1450,which absolutely angered the Azanians.ISA President Kenyatta Khuzwayo would then amend the True Transformation Act thus calling for Azania to use the nuclear weapons it had from foreign States to produce its own Atomic bombs in masses,and also increase production of Cosmic Bombs and also released billions of Pules(Azanian currency)to fund projects of building Cosmic powered Weapons and Technology.By February 2026,just a year after the end of WW3,the Russian Empire was forced to admit it and thus the CRE reluctantly recognized the ISA as a global SUPERPOWER.
The newly made superpower remained attached to its satellite States,having a completed set of about 23 Satellite States(Namibia,Botswana,Zimbabwe, Mozambique,Angola,Malawi,Zambia,Tanzania,DRC, Republic of the Congo,Rwanda,Burundi,Uganda,Kenya,Somalia,Gabon,Guinea,Cameroon,Central African Republic,South Sudan,Ethopia and Madagascar)with Swaziland and Lesotho being considered Provinces instead of Satellite States,and all of these Nations under the leadership of the ISA officially in 2026 formed the USA(United States of Africa),although many of these Nations were under extreme poverty(and even deepened poverty after the war)Azanian President Kenyatta Khuzwayo with his cabinet,in particular Minister of Financial Affairs Khethiwe Mqedlana setting up the Azanian Monetary Fund(AMF) to help stimulate development in these nations,the only problem was the budget.Whilst the Russians with the disapproval of the ISA claimed the Suez Canal.
Meanwhile the world was still in very unstable shape,and the official Japanese Prime Minister Hanzo Hyakuya tasked both Superpowers still recovering from the war themselves,with rebuilding the world.But unfortunately both the Russians and the Azanians were on each other's necks with matters of diplomacy and loyalty.The Russian economy was fast improving after the IRA including the war damaged it greatly,but after the Azanians refused to grant aid,the Russians gave Japan and Italy NRTDs as direct opposition to the ony nation besides the CRE itself with these weapons,Azania(who were fast-building nuclear weapons) who got no NRTDs.The Azanians were furious.
Of course the NRTDs were useless against Cosmic Bombs but still,the Azanians didn't have mechanisms as good as Russia to help defend against an attack of Atomic and Hydrogen Bombs,so both Superpowers felt extremely uncomfortable with the other as each had the power to destro the other one,thus beginning to see each other as enemies rather than friends.Tensions got even worse when the media of each opposing Superpower began propaganda campaigns against the other,with the Russian media painting Azanians as Warmongers who were brutal and merciless(due to the violent ways they dealt with White people)thus with the Azanians did the same, sending SIC(Secret Intelligence Corps) an Azanian Beurocracy of State Intellegence(ABSI) agents all over RACC(Russo-Asiatic Confederal Colony) in Northern China to investigate Russian Warcrimes durimg WW3.Because of this many things were exposed to the world,such as the fact that the RACC was an Apartheid-like system were Russians were not supposed to marry Chinese people,how an appalling majority of them lived in inhumane conditions,how Sila Ataki officers were granted powers to carry out "Extra-Judicial Executions" against the chinese population and how the KPVD(Secret Police)not only participated in Sila Ataki war crimes during the war,but how they were helping cover them up.Once these extremely oppressive policies were being exposed to the world,it was clear the IDSI(Imperial Division for Secret Intelligence) and CRE had underestimated Azanian intellegence,this increased tensions to a boiling high.
The last straw came in September 2026 when a Russian spy was caught on Azanian soil attempting to steal blue prints partaking new Azanian military hardware to be built,the agent was apparently arrested by the SI Corps(Azanian Secret Intelligence Agency)but disappeared,a furious Tsar ordered the Russian Imperial Embassy to be closed,the Russians operating there were escorted out ofthe country and back to Russia by the AA(Azanian Army).This instantly triggered what was called II-Cold War(Second Cold War) as the Russians had previously claimed Azanian science and technology was of low quality and inferior.This thus triggered a deadly arms race and a costly space race later on,with both Superpowers out to prove the technological and economical superiority of their country over the other and rise as an international Hyperpower(Sole Superpower)and thus dominate the world economy and have the largest and most powerfullest Military EVER.
As the II-Cold War began both Superpowers had one interest in mind,and that was international support,which entailed millions worth of aid from each superpower.It was in the beginning of the Cold War that the whole of Southern China,in both the Etruscan-Chinese Republican Alliance (ECRA)and the Sino-Nippon Coalition(SNC) independence by both the Japanese and Italian government.The Russians reluctantly agreed but enforced terms that China was to be permanently demilitarized as stted by the KC.Thus the two Chinese sectors instantly reunited to form the True Chinese Republic(TCR),although unlike the Russians,the Azanians looked intent on granting independence to India(as the Azanians were reluctant to rebuild a country destroyed,in particular by the CRE)this gradually changed after the II-Cold War begun,thus the Indian Protectorate of Azania(IPA) remained.
A symbol of the II-Cold War,much like how they had participated in the last came in what was the United States of America.Divided into four the United States of America was finished,but to the happiness of the Americans,in 2028 the Japanese and Italians were looking to grant independence there too as well, with both Nations feeling the war had dama them too greatly to be looking to mantain foreign land using military force(of which had been weakened by the war)thus both Italy and Japan looked for a less embarrassing way to give up the territories they controlled.Thus after Italian Forces left the IAA(Italian-American Alliance)in May 2028, the Japanese also did the same in July 2028 by leaving NAS(Nippon-American States)and granting independence,thus the entire freed States of the South of America would also instantly join forces under a monarchy called The American Empire with Los Angeles,Carlifornia as its Capital,calling for the ISA and CRE to Grant independence.The CRE wanted to break US America to ensure that it never had the ability to build up power again,thus the Russians kept the RACU(Russo-American Coalitionist Union)together with Alaska.The Premier Supreme of the ISA had previously prepared to withdraw from ABA(Azanian Bloc of America) as he didn't like the idea of Azanian forces in America, and the economy of America was in a terrible state and it would be up to them to rebuild it,but after the II-Cold War began this subsequently changed,with the Azanians keeping both ABA and Hawaii, feeling that they had helped shockingly the economy of ABA eclipse that of its three now other two American sectors,with it having the most powerfullest economy in all sectors of what was the USA,with the RACU economy lagging far behind with the Azanian Pule being the currency that dominates all sectors and deminishing the value of the Russian Ruble.But this changes when the CRE government bans the Pule in RACU and the American Empire(combining both the Italian and Japanese Sectors) reintroduces the dollar yet again, although it vastly loses tbe fight against the most powerful currency in the world(Azanian Pule).This greatly angers the Americans in the American Empire.
Thus in the American Empire,the "Come-Home Movement" urging Americans living in the two sectors(including Alaska and Hawaii)to leave and come to the American Empire's mainlands.Many in the RACU leave gladly having despised the Russians for years,and although a very strong economy ABA was under a very oppressive leader,Emissary Sizwe Silowe whom granted the police the right to raid which ever home(provided it belongs to an American)and take whatever they pleased, although petitions where sent to the Azanian government with even American former Trade Unionist Randy Allen(since Trade Unions were banned by the Emissary of ABA)flew to the ISA(being one of the first whites apart from Italians and Russians being allowed into Azania)to complain,bu nothing was done by the Emissariate.This thus led to many Americans in ABA to also join the movement,at first it started slow but then things got worse when over 3000 Americans were exiting America daily,thus after shaky and uncomfortable talks between the superpowers ruling the North parts of former US America,the Azanians from their side began building a very tall wall,with the Russians doing the same on their side,the wall was built for about 3 months and was completed after the Russians and Azanians combined the wall around the edge of their borders,with ABA Emissary Sizwe Silowe and RACU Consul Vasiliy Sayanovich both putting armed forces upon the walls, ordering them to shoot to kill any American attempting to cross the wall.The wall was so tall it made it close to impossible for people in both ABA and RACU to escape to the American Empire.This Wall was therfore called The American Divide,the first time in the Cold War when the two Superpowers coorperated with each other.
But soon in the RACU(Russo-American Coalitionist Union),the lack of economic planning strategy by the Russian Consul in RACU had allowed the economy of the sector to be gravely weakened,the Russian Government refused to help,this in turn terrefied Russian Businesses from investing in RACU.Soon in April 2029,wide spread famine began in RACU called the Great American Famine.The Famine starved to death 200 000 Americans in just three months and continued to hurt the American people.The American Empire,whom were only allowed to have an army ofnnot more than 250 000,a navy of no more than 4000 personel whilst not being allowed to have an Airforce of their own.Soon RACU fell under Marshall Law when riots began calling for free and fair elections for an American Governor who will look after their needs.The Azanians looking to take advantage of this and draw themselves out as the more economically stable and superior nation,begins sending aid to RACU,with ABA providing relief in the form of food,aid in the form of building material to help rebuild the destroyed sector(by WW3 factors) and even with Humanitarian Agencies from the ISA helping around and negotiating with the Russian Consulate in Russia to force Consul Vasiliy Sayanovich resign and lift the Marshall Law.Fearing that the Azanians were trying to take over RACU,Consul Sayanovich could not allow himself the humiliation of having to explain how he could allow such a thing could happen to the Tsar.
After refusing to lift the Marshall Law,many Americans begin fleeing to ABA were conditions were betterning even though the Emissary was still very authoritarian, and where the economy was thriving and a chance for success much higher.Each day RACU was losing around 4000 Citizens per day,in them trained people who could benefit greatly the economy of RACU thus that of the CRE.Consul Sayanovich began in the same year of 2029 building a wall to separate the two sectors,after separating it,RIA is put in post on the wall,patrolling as stipulated by Consul Sayanovich's Coalitionist Protection Act,giving RIA to shoot to kill those who attempt to cross the wall,many persistent Americans are shot as a resut whilst trying to climb the wall and escape to the land of Opportunity in ABA,NewYork or one of its many wealthy States,the wall blocks all routes connecting RACU and ABA,due to the many deaths the wall caused and its association with being the "SYMBOL" of Cold War tensions between the two Superpowers the international community calls it - The Cold Wall.
As result of the Cold Wall the influx of many Americans on the Azanian Bloc of America(ABA)slows to halt.But determined to defy the government of RACU,although costly the Emissary,orders the AAF(Azanian Aviation Force)with its many bases to begin Aerial deployment of food and over RACU,many in the international community hail Emissary Sizwe Silowe as a hero looking for the walfare of all people in America.Therefore the American Empire establishes ties with ABA,allowing the Independent State of Azania to build 9 Military Bases in their land,whilst after failing yet again to stop Azanian influence in RACU and successfully turning it into a prison,with the support of Head of the FFU(Federation of Fascist Unionists) Russian President Yerik Baranov's support as well as that of the Tsar,Consul Vasiliy Sayanovich is removed from his seat of power and loses his seat in the RIC(Russian Imperial Consulate), returning home to Russia humiliated and disgraced.He is replaced by another member of the RIC,Consul Kazakov Vladimirovich.
These events are what intensifies tensions between the two Superpowers,with Consul Kazakov refusing to remove the Cold Wall or their portion of the American Divide.Other events take place e.g. in Australia after the Italian and Japanese governments grant independence and yet again the Azanians and Russians refuse to grant independence,this is when a Cyber-Terrorist group detonates an atomic bomb in the biggest city in New Zealand,the Capital of the Azanian sector in Australia in 2027.The Azanian longtime President Kenyatta Khuzwayo was furious,as not only were 2100 Azanians and 96 000 Australians killed,but Millions worth of infrastructure they spend rebuilding the city was destroyed,and everything gone.The Russians denied all allegations that the terrorists were in fact IDSI Agents sent by the Tsar himself,and only admitted to an atomic bomb of theirs being stolen by Ukrainian terrorists months back in a base in Siberia,which sounded more suspicious to the Azanians.The two Superpowers came extremely close to war but the Japanese rescued the world from Nuclear War by acting peacemaker and releasing 1.8 Billion ¥enns to help rebuild the City and war was averted but tensions heightened even higher between the Superpowers.
Many things happen during II-Cold War,another event which raises eyebrows takes place in RACC(Russian-Asiatic Confederal Colony)after the Chinese Liberation Front(CLF)begins getting stronger at the beginning of II-Cold War when thousands of advanced Azanian guns find their way into the hands of the Chinese resistance group.Clashes with RIA become more bloody,and its membership grows exponentially in RACC,the Azanians didn't make it secretive that they were supporting the TCR(True Chinese Republic)and CLF in this fight against Russian tyranny.This is proven when the first Azanian military base is built in 2027,April with the AA(Azanian Army)being sent to the TCR,which rather makes the Russian government think twice ablut invading the TCR.The Russians were getting angry because as their war with the CLF raged on,many Chinese people made runs for it to the TCR, although the Russians had impoverished it a great deal after the IRA funds were not made available for them,but to shock of th Russians with the Africans screwing things up again.The ISA begins providing HUGE aid to China in the form of machinery,equipment,food for the starving,Azanian technicians and advisors as well as money from the AMF(Azanian Monetary Fund) although at first it was meant mainly for Africa,this helps a great deal on the economic redevelopment of China,and Chinese President Li Zhao even visits the Mashinini Obelisk in NewYork,ABA as sign of a good diplomatic relationship with Azania.Although the Russians try to force the Azanians to stop providing the Chinese Liberation Front(CLF)with weapons, they ignore this and secretly continue to so as to plunge the RACC into destructive civil warfare.
As a result of attempting to prove their Military,Political and Economical might over each other,science and businesses of both Superpowers thrives.By this time,in 2030,the CRE economy had eclipsed that of Japan to become the second biggest economy in the world,only second to Azania.In Military might,the ANL declared that both the ISA and CRE had the strongest Armed Forces in the world,being rated as equals if one not being slightly stronger than the other.The Tsar was shocked,and their obsession over Cosmic Radiation had only led to failure with Russia shockingly being unable to produce a Cosmic Bomb of its own.The CRE was humiliated.By 2030 April,the ISA already had about 26 800 active Nuclear Warheads(Atomic/H-bombs)and 2600 Cosmic Bombs,weapons of mass destruction.Both Superpowers not only had the power to destroy one another over and over again,but the entire world as well.Japan like the rest of the world did not like these numbers at all.
Thus in May 2030,the Prime Minister of the DUJ called in all member states of the ANL(which was about 123 States and growing)to meet in Adea City,the biggest Megalopolis in the world and Capital City of Azania Adea City(N.B. the city by this time is the biggest and most prosperous City in the world,eclipsing Moscow,CRE)in Dola Tower(translat:Empire Tower)the tallest building in the World and in this meeting all members of the ANL Security Council were compelled to show.The Azanians were being represented by their new President Joseph Mabhengu,with the Russians being represented by their President Yerik Baranov.The meeting was high profiled and was referred to as the Dola Peace Conference(DPC).Both the Russians and Azanians guessed what the meet was gonna be about,and indeed the Japanese demanded an end to the production of Missiles and Weapons of Nuclear Mass destruction from both Superpowers, deeming it a "threat to mankind".Prime Minister Hanzo Hyakuya was successful on his mission,and after pressure from every ANL member State,with the Russians not wanting the Azanians to get more powerful and agreeing to the terms of the Japanese Prime Minister.Afterwards President Joseph Mabhengu evidently reluctant,agrees to the terms too.Thus after the DPC,both Superpowers reluctantly sign the Nuclear Cease Protocol(NCP) in Paris,the French Capital.
But would this hinder the momentum of the II-Cold War like how Japan had hoped?

The only reasons the Russians alow three of their Satellites to join the Union is to keep an eye on the other Independent nations and compete with them in prosperity to prove why the Russian Empire was greater
