Wow. I can't believe it's been a whole year! Jessssus. I suck. Was gonna write some smut into this chapter. I guess I changed my mind. :P Soooorrry.
Originally, this ended after Hayden's point of view, but I decided to throw in the little Hikaru bit as they're both the older twins. :)
Do you guys WANT more of Hayden/Yamato/Takeru/Melody's point of view, or more of the host clubs?
Kaoru
Hika pays for the movie. He also picks it. And buys snacks. Because I'm not paying attention. He leads me gently into the theater, and picks a seat.
"Are you even paying attention, Kao?" he asks.
"Sure," I say, having been drawn back to the now by my brother's voice.
"I don't think you are." He says.
"Then why did you ask?" I counter. He shrugs.
"I don't know. What were you thinking about at lunch?" He asks. I blush.
"Uh. You said doing. And that made me think about..uh..doing." Hika raises an eyebrow, taking in my flush. Then understanding floods him.
"Oh. Oh." I can feel myself get hotter. Hika grins. "I think we can arrange that, you know."
"Hika!" I whine, looking around to see if anyone else heard him. No one did, thankfully. Hika's grin only gets wider, he leans towards me.
"Oh, Kao, you know you'd love it." He whispers against my ear. I groan, as I shiver. I push him gently.
"Hika, don't. At least, not here." Hikaru laughs, and leans further away from me. The lights dim, indicating the start of the movie, and my brother's hand slips into mine. He squeezes gently before getting caught up in the movie. I watch the movie, but mostly my mind is stuck on my brother, and what we're gonna do when we get home. Suddenly, Hika is pulling on my hand.
"Come on, Kao. The movie's over." He says.
"Oh. Is it?" I ask.
"Yes, come on, we have a bedroom to dirty." My cheeks flush.
"Right, okay." I agree. Hika laughs at my tone. I allow my brother to pull me to my feet, and we leave the theatre. Hika doesn't release my hand, and I can't bring myself to be bothered, regardless of the looks people are giving us. I glance up at the darkening sky as we wait for our car. There's nothing really up there. You can't see the stars. Too many lights. I frown, and look back at my brother. Hikaru's eyes are on the street, waiting for a glimpse of our ride. And he's just..perfect. I frown.
"Why are you so perfect?" I ask, before I can stop myself. Hikaru glances at me, an amused smile turning his lips upwards.
"We're twins, Kao." He says.
"I don't think so. You're so mu-"
"We're twins. The same. I happen to think you're the perfect one." I open my mouth to protest, but change my mind as I notice our ride. My mouth closes. I follow Hika into the backseat. We ride in silence. We stumble up the steps once home, and shove the door open. The house is mostly silent. Something new over the last few weeks. There's always been a parent here. I guess our freedom means our parents don't have to be here.
I follow Hikaru up the stairs quietly. It was sort of nice having our parents home for more then a day. So, I miss them, I guess.
"Hika?" I ask, at the door to our bedroom.
"Hmm?" His voice is far away, but I know he's listening.
"Do you ever miss mom and dad?" Okay, it should be Mother and Father, I guess. But they aren't here to listen to me.
"Sure." He says, turning to look at me briefly over his shoulder. He pushes the door open and I follow after him.
"I'm being serious, Hika. Don't you ever wish they were home more? Not just when we were in trouble?" Hikaru turns to look at me. He studies me quietly for a minute, before reaching out and grabbing my hips, tugging me closer to him.
"I kind of like it just being us." I'm started by the sudden impact of our bodies, and it causes heat to rise to my cheeks. "Although, yes. I do miss them, sometimes." He admits. And then we're kissing, and the rest of the night is lost on me.
Dance, again. Twin the Second is no where to be found, and Hayden is struggling with us both to teach us the steps so we can join the class we're supposed to be part of.
"Where's your other half?" Hikaru asks, panting for breath, during a pause in complicated steps neither of us can get the hang of. Hayden shrugs.
"He's gonna be dead when I see him." The blonde confides.
"Are you fighting?" I ask quietly.
"Nah. He's just being a jerky assface. As normal." I share a glance with my brother.
"How?" I ask. Hayden shrugs.
"He's just..I don't know. It doesn't matter. He'll get over it, or he won't." Conversation over, apparently. I share another glance with my twin.
"You're awfully cranky today." Hikaru says it as gently as he can, but it still comes off snappy. Hayden shrugs.
"I guess." After that Hayden basically ignores any attempt at us getting him to talk. Melody checks in twice. Near the very end of the class, the door opens again. I don't look up, thinking it's Melody again. But the sound of a body folding onto the floor tells me it's not her, and I do look up. Twin number two has joined us, and is curled up in the corner. Hikaru and I both freeze as we feel the tension in the room. Hayden ignores Yamato, and glares at us.
"No one said you could stop yet." He points out. Hika and I still don't move.
"They're done, Hayden." Yamato says quietly from the corner.
"I'm not talking to you, shut up." Hayden says. Yamato raises an eyebrow, but remains silent. Melody appears right after that.
"Your cars here," She informs us, then notices Yamato. "How the hell did you get in here without me seeing you?"
"Magic." Yamato answers, before his hands jump to his mouth. Melody raises her eyebrows at him. "Hayden told me to shut up." He explains, before firmly clamping his mouth shut.
"Riiight." She says, her tone plainly informing us all that she thinks Yamato is crazy. He doesn't seem to mind. Hikaru and I follow Melody out of the room. We head back towards the change area and grab our bags. There's no point in changing without showering, so we'll shower at home. I follow Hikaru out, he's almost always in the lead.
"I swear, he's a lost puppy." I hear a girl whisper to someone else. I turn my head. Yamato shrugs back at her.
"Hayden's my lost puppy. You don't get it, you don't have a twin." Yamato makes no effort to lower his voice, and I look at Hikaru in time to see him glancing at me. Was he defending us, or himself? One more mystery to add to Yamato, I guess.
Hayden
I glare at my brother from across the room. He's ignoring me, mostly. He's most certainly aware of me glaring, but he's acting like I'm not totally pissed at him, and I have silenced him until further notice. Which could be forever. He is, however, not speaking. Somehow Takeru just knows what he means when he gestures with his hands. It's not sign language, just some made up Yamato-Takeru brother speak. The more I watch, the more I understand. And suddenly Yamato's face is right in front of mine. Right in my personal space. If I spoke, our lips would touch. I push his face away.
"Don't." I say. He pouts at me. "Stop it." I tell him. His bottom lip sticks out a little further. "Go away!" I snap.
He doesn't listen. Of course not. He just looks at me with his bottom lip sticking out. I sigh as my anger vanishes. He grins.
"That was the longest, ever." He informs me.
"I never said you could talk yet." Yamato sits next to me. Takeru has vanished. "Where'd you go?" I ask.
"Fell asleep." I raise my eyebrows.
"You were gone over night. Where'd you go?" I repeat.
"I went for a walk, and lost track of time. I stayed at a friends house." Yamato shrugs.
"Which friend?" Yamato's head drops back against the couch as he sighs.
"Mei."
"Mei." I repeat. Who the fuck is Mei? Yamato has more then a nasty record when it comes to cheating. Why do I keep him? I don't know. Because I love him, I guess.
"Yeah.."
"Did you..?" I can't finish the sentence. Yamato moves his head so he can look at me, confusion all over his face. Then it hits him. He shakes his head.
"No. I didn't sleep with her." He's too relaxed to be anything but telling the truth. So he's forgiven.
"I don't understand how you get away with vanishing over night and I'm the only one who says anything about it."
"I'm just special." Yamato half sings.
"You're just annoying. And self-centered, and conceited, and arrogant, an-"
"I get it, you can stop." Yamato cuts me off. I smile innocently at him. He throws that bottom lip out again, and I'm instantly mush. Stupid ass boy. Why he can do this to me I'll never understand. He just knows how to use our features, I guess. He always gets what he wants. With a sigh, I lean forward, and capture his jutting lower lip between my teeth.
Yamato whimpers. Just once, and it's more of a whine, a plead, really. I sink my teeth in just a bit harder, which makes Yamato moan. I pull away, to find Yamato's cheeks already flushed. I climb to my feet, and pull my brother by the hand to our shared room.
I watch Yamato's chest move up and down in the full length mirror that is Yamato's. My eyes move up to his face, he looks pained, like he's having a nightmare. I go to shake him awake, but his features smooth out, and he smiles. I relax again, and my eyes trail down over the exposed chest, down further over naked hips, thighs. My eyes move away from the mirror, to my own naked body. I see all the differences, all the imperfections. Yamato only has one, although I love the scar on his wrist, too.
"Love?" Yamato asks. My eyes jump to him. It's so very rare for him to call me that in any language besides Romanian. "Why aren't you sleeping?"
I'm not entirely sure Yamato's even awake. "I was thinking." I tell him.
"About?" His eyes are slipping shut again.
"You." I admit. His eyes open again. "About how much I love you." I add.
"I love you, too." He says softly. I snuggle into Yamato's side, and he wraps his arms around me.
Hikaru
My eyes trail over Kaoru's sleeping form. Start from the tip of that orange hair spread across the pillow in a fan, to his perfectly smooth forehead, down to closed eyes with eyelashes brushing across his cheeks. Kissable, wonderful lips. Smooth chest, flat stomach. Although it's dark in the room, I see all this stuff, all the way down to his perfect feet. Feet happen to be gross, by the way. I frown as I think of all the perfect things Kaoru's body has that mine don't.
I ponder over his words at the theater. "Why are you so perfect?" And I know I had said "we're twins." but that wasn't it. I know my body almost as well as I know his, and I know mine if far from perfect. I wonder if he feels the same way. I hope he doesn't. My twin moans in his sleep, and stretches out some.
"I love you." I whisper to him.
"I love you, too." He mumbles, causing me to jump. I wrap my arms around Kaoru, who on reflex, snuggles closer to my chest.
