Chapter 10

"Sebastian, please bring Kyoko-san back."

The man bowed and stepped out.

"Do you think Kyoko will be alright with staying with me?" Ren wondered out loud.

"I can't say for sure."

She entered with Sari holding her hand and chattering on about a mile a minute. Kyoko kept on smiling at this bundle of energy.

"Mogami-san, Ten will be here in a minute."

"You'll change back to mommy?" Sari asked comforted.

Kyoko glanced at Ren and then the president for assistance with the question, they weren't able to give her an answer either.

"I guess."

"Good." Sari nodded "I like mommy being mommy better."

Ten entered and they all looked at her and then at Sari. Sari wasn't paying attention as she was walking towards Ren.

"Lory, are they ready?" she asked surprised. "I thought they will be back later."

"Some things happened." Lory said not getting into details, looking from her to Sari again as the little girl made herself comfortable in Ren's lap.

Ten-chan nodded.

"Will you be first Kyoko-chan?"

"Yes."

In all this time Sari not once paid attention to Muse so they didn't know what to think. Will Sari recognize her too? was the question on everyone's mind.

It didn't take long for Kyoko to be back in her own clothes as Ten saw that she was fidgeting too much and not even being sad about taking her make up off. Muse wanted to ask her but it seemed like Kyoko was too distracted.

They entered back into the room and Sari looked at the two of them. Ren and the president looked at her to see if she still called Kyoko mommy. They were surprised to hear her exclaim:

"Mommy's witch!" Though she didn't get off Ren's lap and running to her as they thought.

"Mommy's witch?" Ten asked bewildered.

"You are mommy's witch. That's what mommy calls you." Sari said not understanding why the witch would be surprised, she always called her "mommy's witch."

"Can somebody explain what is going on?" Ten asked lost.

"Ten-chan this is Sari Aurora, she calls Kyoko mommy and Ren daddy." Lory said tired.

"Why?" She asked perplexed.

"Because they are my mommy and daddy." Irritated a little by everyone questioning what she knew.

"What?" Ten-chan asked dumbfounded "Lory what is going on?" She looked from the little girl to the president.

"We are also trying to figure out, but it's getting late and Ren and Mogami-san need to go shopping for Sari."

"What?" Ren asked dumbstruck.

"She doesn't have anything to wear and we don't know how long it will be before we sort this out." Lory said matter of fact, seeing as Sari still called Kyoko "mommy" even without her foreigner attire.

"And Mogami-san" Kyoko looked at him "for the duration of that time you'll stay with Ren in his appartment."

"No way." Kyoko shouted a little more loudly than she meant.

Ren narrowed his eyes. It's not like she didn't stay over at his house before, why was this such a big deal.

Sari squirmed off his lap and went to Kyoko and made the motion to be picked up.

"Mommy?" she said quietly.

"Yes, Sari." Kyoko said displeased.

Sari was taken aback by her mother's attitude. She was never on the receiving end of her mother's displeasure. She got quiet and started sniffling.

Kyoko in panic took Sari gently by the chin and they locked eyes.

"Sari what's wrong?" she said tenderly.

"Mommy doesn't like Sari." she whispered.

"Sari, that's not true." Kyoko soothed her. "We'll go home together and we'll be alright."

Sari hugged Kyoko and buried her head in the crook of Kyoko's neck. Kyoko gently rubbed her back.

"Then it's settled." the president clapped his hands to get people's attention "Ren, Mogami-san go for a little shopping trip and after, go to his apartment and we'll figure out more about her" he gestured with his head at Sari "tomorrow."

"Let's get you change as well, Ren-chan." Ten said.

He left to change and he didn't take long either. Once he was out the door with Ten, Sari lifted her head and started talking to Kyoko.

"Mommy?" she said quietly

"Hmmm…" Kyoko answered looking at her to continue.

"Are you still mad at daddy?" she whispered.

"Why would I be mad at him?" Kyoko asked confused.

"Because he was late. You said he doesn't care about us like he used to." Sari said softly with a troubling expression.

"Sari," Sari looked at her cautiously "I am not mad at your, Ren." Sari exhaled relieved.

"I don't like it when you are mad at him. But mommy…" she said looking at Kyoko curiously "why don't you call daddy Corn, if you are not mad?"

Kyoko looked at her shook up by the question.

"What?" she asked for lack of words.

"You always call him Corn when you are not mad." She said again in curiousity.

"I...I…" Ren came back in the room and Kyoko snapped her eyes at him in fear and puzzlement.

"Kyoko?" she strode to her "what's wrong?" she asked concerned.

She shook her head in an effort to appear alright.

"I'm alright."

The little girl looked at them in confusion. Now that they were her real mommy and daddy, without being someone else, they were acting differently than before. They were not really her mommy and daddy, they looked the same but the actions were different. She stopped thinking about it, they had a fight, she reason in her little head, maybe mommy is still mad she thought.

"Do you want to go home now?" Ren asked her.

"Sari wants to go home." Sari said smiling at her daddy, now that mommy might not be mad at him she will again be more open so she made the motion to be picked up by him and he obliged and steered Kyoko towards the door.

"We will see you tomorrow, president-san." Ren said and Kyoko turned and bowed politely.

Ren's hand was slung over her shoulder and though she wanted to step away she just continued to the car walking stiffly feeling his hand like a piece of rock, Sari's chatter the only sound between them.

PS: If there is anyone who would love to work with me on a story that is based on Pride and Prejudice please let me know. I am having a hard time describing places and people in that one.
