It didn't take long before Hidan and Kakuzu arrived in the Snakestyle shop. Shelves all around them were stacked with numerous items. There were gigantic sections for tops, for jackets, for accessories, for coats and for trousers. Even for robes. Hidan tightly grasped Kakuzu's hand.

"This way," he said, dragging Kakuzu to the coats section.

Though Kakuzu grunted as he was dragged along, he was still prepared to pay for the coat. Anything that could get him closer. He'd just earn the money right back. Yes, he would think of it that way.

"See? It's fucking awesome." Hidan looked at the coat, which stretched to his knees and flared out. He picked it up and threw his other coat to Kakuzu, leaving him completely shirtless before he slung it over his shoulders. "I'll wear it out."

Kakuzu followed Hidan to the counter while holding the coat.

The man at the counter wore a purple crop top, glasses and jeans that matched his top. His hair was grey despite him being visibly quite young. His nametag read 'Kabuto'.

"I'll take this coat that I'm wearing," said Hidan. "He's paying."

Taking out the money, Kakuzu placed it down. "That's it, right?"

"Just right," Kabuto said as he looked through the money. "Thanks."

Walking out of the shop, Kakuzu couldn't help but sigh. Just how much had he spent on Hidan just to get closer to him? So much... He carried on behind Hidan for a while.

Soon, just by the harbor, Hidan stopped.

"Hey, miser." His tone was a little softer than usual.

Kakuzu looked down at the criminal in front of him. He only saw Hidan's white hair, and his back sprawled with his new coat. "Hidan."

"You... you're pretty cool."

"Thanks?" said Kakuzu.

"Well, I got some money with me too, so, you know... You always used to talk about shit, so I thought maybe I should..."

There was a long pause. The silence rung in Kakuzu's ears. Was Hidan going to finish his sentence?

"Stop staring, old man! Your eyes are burning into me. We're heading to the book shop next," Hidan snapped and started walking. "Move your ass."

His eyes widened for a second before he began following Hidan. So that was what he was trying to say. He smiled under his mask, and let out a bit of a chuckle.

"Hey, what's so fucking funny?"

"It's nothing."

"Best be."
