Naruto's POV
Watching the man sneer, Ignoring my hand, I felt irritation flash through me. I lowered my hand, subconsciously placing it back around Ran-Mao's waist. I frowned, studying the man in front of me. Even from this distance, I could see the dark, Slimy soul the man possessed as his eyes roamed over Ran-Mao's body, a small spark of jealously and lust darkening them as he glared at me once again.
Suddenly smirking, I patted Ran-Mao's side, indicating my need to get up. When she refused to move, I turned to Lau and leaned over. Whispering words for his ears only, I told him, Very sweetly, That if he did not call his assassin off, things might get messy. "I will explain everything soon. I promise. In the mean time, I need you to trust me, If only a little. Im not going to leave anytime soon... Well, Without a warning anyway." Opening his eyes slightly once again, Lau gave me a dark, searching look.
He nodded at Ran-Mao, who reluctantly got off of me. He caught me wrist as a went to stand up, pulling me towards him once more, but not onto the couch. I used my other hand to keep my balance by placing it on his shoulder. He leaned closer, Almost into my hood, keeping me in place with the tight grip he had on my other wrist. "Do not take this as me trusting you again. After whet you pulled... It's going to take a lot more than your simple word to repair the damaged you caused by leaving. And you are right. You WILL be explaining everything later. Whether you wish to or not." And with that, He released me, The little support he had been offering suddenly leaving, Causing me to lose my balance. My head landed on his shoulder, And with a chuckle, He pushed me off of him, Tee gentleness used in the action contradicting his harsh words.
I stared at him for a moment before nodding. Turning back towards the slimy man beside the billiards table, I ignored the heavy gaze of Ciel. Putting on a bright, cheery smile, I watched with slight satisfaction as fear passed through his eyes as the only thing he could see was a black hole where my face should be. "I never did ketch your name, MIster!" A few light snorts and a giggle, Courtesy of Madame Red, tickled the air at my falsely innocent, annoyingly high pitch voice.
"That is because he didn't give it, Naruto. Not that it matters, He is a nobody." Cut in Ciel smoothly. I turned to him, Slightly amused at the way Ciel was looking at Lau. Ignoring the mans hiss at being dismissed so easily, I hummed. "Really...?" The Slimy man's teeth gnashed, But he was once again ignored. "Back to what we were discussing earlier. How soon can you have everything prepared?" Ciel asked as he turned to the head of the Scotland Yard. The older man gave Ciel a dark glare, Gritting his teeth. "By tonight."
Ciel nodded, Looking pleased, "I shall send a carriage for you." Ciel stood, Holding out the billiard stick so I could take his shot. I raised an eyebrow but took it anyway, Leaning over to take the winning shot. "Greed will be your downfall." The man hissed quietly, But we all still heard him. Ciel smirked, A dark look passing over his features as he leaned on the table by my head. "Greed, Hmm?" I looked up at him, Just as he looked down at me. I blindly took the shot, The both of us not once looking away from each other, Even as the others heavy stares dug into our necks.
The loud click as one ball hit another, Then the satisfying whoosh as a ball went into it's intended pocket.
We had won the game.
