Chapter 10: Anubis part 1
stroll 2: Iggy and Korumaru
Joseph, Jotaro, Fuuka, Zen and Rei and Junpei were all on the roof talking, suddenly, Korumaru came in and licked Fuuka and Rei.
"Awww, your a good boy Korumaru!" Rei said, petting Korumaru.
"He's certainly more friendly than Iggy," Joseph said, glancing at Iggy who was laying on one of the tables.
"Yeah, he's definitely a lot more violent than Korumaru and a lot more lazy and isn't as social," Junpei said.
"But he's still so cute!" Rei said.
"He's still a pain in the ass," Jotaro said.
"Y-you don't have to be mean to him Jotaro-kun" Fuuka said.
"But he has a point, although, Iggy does make me laugh a bit more than Korumaru for how violent he is, like that time Kanji tried to pet him and he just latched onto his face, biting his head and farting in his face, that was hysterical!" Junpei laughed at the memory.
"J-Junpei!" Fuuka said, starting to pull on his ear.
"Ow, ow, ow! quit it! what did I say!?"
"That was really mean!" Fuuka said, pulling his ear still.
"Okay okay! I get it! just let me go!"
Fuuka let's go and the group continue to talk.
"As we were saying, both dogs I guess do have their own little things, their both great fighters in the end," Zen said.
"Yeah, but at least Korumaru actually helps fight, but every time I look at Iggy, he has barely done anything to help," Junpei said.
"Wait really?" Joseph asked.
"Yeah, you didn't notice?"
"No," Joseph said, turning to Fuuka," is this true?"
"Actually, yes, i-in fact, every time I'd check to see how he's doing, he would be just sitting, a-a little distant from where the fight is," Fuuka answered.
"Yarde, Yarde daze, lazy ass" Jotaro said.
"He'll come around eventually, I'm sure of it!" Rei said confidently while eating lo mein.
" I doubt it" Jotaro sighed.
End stroll 2
The group had entered the Group date cafe again, but on the second floor this time, the second floor, there were some differences, like what seemed like dark shadows covered all the walls, where the shadows ended there was a little purple, red and still a little pink at the bottom on the walls, little objects spread around and the mos notable thing was he roof looked like space.
"Was the roof like that on the first floor?" Ken asked looking up at the sky.
" Maybe?" Kanji said looking up as well.
"It's so pretty," Yukari said looking up.
"Yes... but lets not be spending all day staring up, lets go," Mitsuru said shaking herself out of her trance.
They started to walk down the halls, but as they walked, Yosuke stopped looking around a little frantic.
"Hang on..." he said.
"What is it Yosuke?" Chie asked.
" is it just me... or does it feel like somethings watching us to you guys too?"
"Yes, look," Kakyoin said pointing down hall.
The group looked down the hall and saw red eyes staring at them in the darkness, suddenly at a fast pace, something jumped out and began to run at them, Jotaro acted quickly by grabbing it and slamming it into one wall and throwing it onto the ground, the group got a good look to see that it was a yellow baby on the back of something with red skin and black clothes that had a babies body and, weird enough, a horses head, but the clothes it was wearing were... odd to say the least and made a few of the persona users feel uncomfortable.
"Is that an FOE!?" Yukiko asked.
"Yes, but this one is definitely more aggressive and stronger than the ones in you in wonderland, so lets be careful," Zen said, pulling his crossbow out.
"Wait so we're gonna fight that thing!? Why!?" Rei yelled scared, hiding behind Zen.
"Because why not!?" Chie said pumped for the fact that they haven't fought one of these before.
She was the first to run at it activating Tomoe, who slammed her spear into the FOE and iced all over it, Kakyoin came around and did an emerald splash causing a cold, icy mist to raise and small ice chips to shoot everywhere, the mist stayed for a few seconds before suddenly, a agiloe shot at Chie who blocked but Magicians red absorbed the fire and shot it back at the FOE, the FOE dodged and used tarukaja on himself before using maragi on them, the group dodged or blocked but Teddie took some damage and was pushed back slightly on his back with dizzy eyes, the others ignored this and kept fighting, Mitsuru activated Penthesilea and used bufula and then stabbed the front of its horse legs and ripped them off causing black ooze to start pouring out, Junpei tried to stab it with long sword but when he tried, the shadow blocked with the ice Mitsuru made on it and broke the sword, Jotaro shoved Junpei aside and did his signature 'ORAORAORA!' about to finish it off and Yu finished it by stabbing it down the middle of its chest.
"well that was fun," Yosuke said.
"For you! that was beary painful!" Teddie said, rubbing the back of his head.
"You'll be fine, lets just-"
"Nooooo!" Junpei interrupted holding his broken sword.
"Oh, sorry about your sword Junpei," Minato said patting his back.
"Awww man, this thing was expensive, it took me months to get all the money, I had to do so much cleaning and yard work."
"And borrowing money from me you still have to pay me back for," Yukari said in the background, only to get elbowed by Aigis.
"W-well. maybe you can get it fixed when we get back? I-I'm sure Theodore can do something to fix it," Fuuka said.
" Yeah... maybe.. Let's just go," Junpei said, picking up the broken sword pieces.
The group continued to walk again, but as they walked, Yosuke was still looking around every now and then.
"Is there something wrong Yosuke?" Kakyoin asked.
"Still feels like something is watching us, am I crazy?" Yosuke asked.
"Maybe, but not in here, shadows are everywhere, I think it's more than likely that something is watching us," Chie said.
"Yeah, I mean, minus the crazy part, something could be watching us or following us even," Yukari said looking around.
"Yeah, that makes sense, just ignore it," Minato said.
"Yeah, guess your right," Yosuke said.
But in the bushes is a small rag doll shadow with a sword stabbed in it, it watched the group as they walked along, it quietly followed them from behind in the shadows.
"Looks like I found my targets, I should stay close and attack when their low on energy," it said in its head as it quietly followed them.
The group was walking down the path, they came across an open area where they saw something in the distance starting at them.
"What's that?" Yukiko asked.
"It's an FOE, but doesn't look like it's gonna try and chase you unless you get too close," Fuuka said.
"Right, let's just go this way then," Jotaro said, going down the hall next to them.
They walked down that hall and saw a door at the end, when Jotaro tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge.
"It's locked?" Yu asked.
"Seems like it," Avdol said.
Jotaro activated his stand and began to punch the door as fast and as hard as he could, after a minute, he gave up and sighed.
"Yarde yarde daze, looks like there's only one way out of this area," Jotaro said.
"What's that?" Junpei asked.
Jotaro just pointed to the hall they came from and Junpei sighed understanding what they had to do, they walked back and looked down the large area to see the FOE still there.
"Do we have to go down there?" Ken asked.
"It's the only way," Shinjiro said.
"Yeah, just stay close to us and you'll be fine" Kanji said.
"Are you guys ready?" Rise asked.
They nodded and stepped in, the moment they got into the open aria, the FOE stepped closer.
"R-Run!" Joseph yelled.
They all ran back and they turned around, it was gone, when they went back, it was back in the same area as before.
"Wait what?" Junpei asked.
"Looks like it doesn't leave this aria, that should make things simple for us, all we have to do is stay out of its way," Kakyoin said.
They nodded and after a little while, finally figured out how to get passed it, when they did they continued their walk through the labyrinth, but as they walked, Yosuke still felt weird.
"I still feel like we're being watched,"Yosuke said.
"Just calm down Yosuke, nothing is watching us," Joseph said.
"I can't calm down! It's hard to okay? It always feels like something is watching us!"
"He's right, I feel it too," Zen said.
"M-me too!" Rei said, clutching Zen.
"That's weird, if it was just Yosuke, it would be one thing, but the fact that it's both Zen and Rei too is another," Yu said.
Suddenly Jotaro stopped moving and looked at the heart shaped balloons floating around them, they all noticed that one had the silhouette of something in one, suddenly Jotaro activated Star Platinum and began to hit the balloon with a barrage of punches, the silhouette jumped out and it was a shadow that looked like a voodoo doll and had a sword stabbed into its arm, it did a down slash at Jotaro and was about to hit him but Mitsuru blocked with Penthesilea and threw him back into the air and used a bufu to freeze it and when it hit the ground, it shattered, but the shadow stood back up and got ready to attack again.
"Huh? Since when do shadows use weapons?" Yukiko asked.
"Guys be careful! This shadow is really powerful!" Fuuka said.
"Right, let's be cautious Guys! Persona!" Yu said, activating Izanagi.
The shadow ran at Yosuke and in response, he activated Jiria and used a garu attack on it but it did a slide attack and attempted to cut his legs but Yosuke blocked with his kunai's and locked the sword in place with them and Yukari shot it with an arrow and then used a garu attack on it before Naoto came up and had Yosuke throw it in the air before she activated Sakuna Hikuna and had it slice up the shadow, then finally Kakyoin finished it with an emerald splash, when the shadow disappeared, the sword stabbed into the ground and stuck there.
"That was easy," Yukari said.
"Yeah, now let's get out of here," Jotaro said.
"Mine!" Junpei said, grabbing the sword and holding it up making cool poses.
"Hey, be careful with that thing," Yu said.
"The shadow had it, there might be something wrong with it," Minato said.
"Oh come on! It's just a sword! What could possibly be wrong with it?" Junpei asked.
"A sword from a shadow, just leave it here, you'll get a new one when we get back," Jotaro said.
"No way! Why bother trying to get a new one if I can take this one?"
"Because we don't know if its safe or not, shadows don't just wield weapons like that usually, not ones like that at least, so we aren't sure if it's a normal sword or not," Yu said.
"You guys are just over reacting, it's just a sword, what could possibly go wrong?" Junpei said.
"Everything!" Joseph said.
"Just let him keep the sword! If anything go's wrong we'll destroy it!" Shinjiro said, agitated.
"I like that idea!" Junpei said, trying to look cool with the sword.
"I guess we could do that" Kakyoin said.
"Yeah, let go" Yu said.
As they walked along, Junpei was posing with the sword, trying to look badass.
"Junpei, can you please quit swinging that around? Your gonna hurt someone!" Yukari said, trying to keep her distance along with a few other people as Junpei swung the sword around.
"Oh come on! Look at this thing! It's really cool!" Junpei said as he swung the sword around.
"It is till you cut someones head off" Yukari said, rubbing her head.
"I'll be careful, I promise!"
"You are just... unbearable..!"
Suddenly, a few shadows came down, they had a zebra pattern and large tongues sticking out.
"There's three of them, but they aren't that scary," Rise said.
"Right, alright everyone, lets-"
Minato was cut off as Junpei ran ahead of them.
"Don't worry guys! I got this!"
"Junpei!" everyone yelled frustrated.
Junpei sliced a shadow clean in half with the sword destroying it he stared at the sword start eyed then faced the other shadow and sliced it in half then the final one.
"This thing is awesome!" Junpei said, holding his sword up in victory.
Suddenly, Jotaro kicked Junpei in the face.
"Ow! What the hell!?" Junpei asked, angry rubbing his cheek.
"Your a freaking idiot you know?" Jotaro said, looking down at him.
"What the hell were you thinking!?" Yukari yelled angry.
"I just wanted to try this thing out!"
"That's not an excuse you idiot, you shouldn't just run into danger like that," Jotaro said.
"It's not like anything would have happened! It's like Rise said! They were weak!"
"That's not a reason to be reckless."
"Yes it is! They were weaker than us! They were weaker than me!"
"Alright, can we just calm down before things get out of control?" Joseph asked, trying to get them to stop.
"Stay out of this old man!" Junpei yelled.
"Iori! That's enough!" Mitsuru yelled glaring at him.
Junpei just growled and took a breath and stayed quiet
"Are we done? Good, let's keep moving," Avdol said.
They continued on, as they did, they ran into a few shadows and Junpei kept going ahead and slicing them up, they kept trying to get him to stop but the more they tried, the angrier he got, right now they were walking down the hall as Junpei stayed in the back of the group.
"Uh guys, is Junpei okay?" Ken asked pointing at him.
Junpei had dark shadows around his eyes and a really strange aura around him, one that was almost demonic, he was gripping the sword like he was going to attack any second, even though there wasn't any danger right now.
"Yeah, your right, should someone talk to him?" Shinjiro asked.
"I should, he's my friend," Minato said.
"I'll help you!" Yukaru said, not wanting anything to happen to him.
They walk over to him and Junpei didn't seem to notice them.
"Junpei?" Minato said to him.
"What?"Junpei asked rudely.
"We're worried something might be wrong, your not yourself," Yukaru said, slightly worried.
"What do you mean? Nothing is wrong with me."
"Yes there is! You keep attacking head on, you aren't listening to us, your getting angry more and more, sure some of that is like you, but not to this degree, what's going on?"
"Nothing."
"No it isn't! You've been like this since you got that sword! That's it, we're taking it away."
Yukari reaches for the sword but suddenly, Junpei grabs her wrist and she looks up to see Junpei glaring at her.
"Don't... touch it!" Junpei said, gripping her tightly.
"J-Junpei! That hurts, stop it!"
Junpei gripped Yukari's wrist tightly, not letting go before suddenly Minato punched Junpei in the face, forcing him to let her go.
"You okay?" Minato asked worried.
"Yeah, don't worry," Yukaru said, rubbing her sore wrist.
"What's wrong with you!?" Shinjiro yelled, looking at Junpei.
Junpei just began to laugh and stood up, he turned to them with an evil look, making some look worried and the rest look ready to attack.
"You all are idiots!"Junpei yelled, still laughing.
"What are you talking about Junpei? What's going on with you?" Akihiko asked.
"I am the enemy stand user! Anubis!"
Anubis lunged at them and slashed the sword at them, they all spread out into different directions.
"What does he mean!? He's the enemy stand user!? How is that possible!?" Ken yelled.
" it's the sword! The stand user must have put a curse of some kind on it!" Mitsuru yelled as Junpei slashed at her and she blocked him.
"Alright, let's knock him out!" Yu said.
Anubis ran at them and swung his sword at them, Mitsuru blocked his attack and clashes blades, Anubis slashed at her legs and cut her legs, causing her to fall over in pain and when Anubis was about to attack her, but she blocked and Minato hit his side, Akihiko punches him in a few places and when Anubis did a few fast slashed, he cuts he arm and shirt, causing blood to spurt out suddenly but he just kept punching and dodging as best he could, Anubis dodged his punches and slashed at him, suddenly Anubis slashed at his hand, cutting it and stabbed his arm, causing blood to spurt and pour out of his arm.
"AKIHIKO!" all of S.E.E.S yelled at once.
Akihiko winced but kept using his other fist to punch him, Anubis dodged his attacks and suddenly, Akihiko grabbed the badly injured arm and in a quick pace, put it around Anubis's neck and pulled him forward and headbutted him and kneed him in the stomach, Anubis backed away, falling over, disoriented from the attack, Akihiko laughed under his breath as he breathed deeply while holding his injured arm.
"Th-that's what you get," Akihiko said, with a smile.
"Damn you!" Anubis said rubbing his head.
Yukari grabbed Akihiko and brought him back a little so she could heal him, Shinjiro came in and was about to hit Anubis to knock him out, Anubis quickly recovered and slashed his sword at his Axe, cutting the handle, Junpei was about to cut Shinjiro in half, but but he just grabbed the end of the Axe that wasn't cut and blocked him, the sword tip was inches from his face, the sword had cut through half the Axe, leaving a clean cut through it, he pulled the sword out and was about to stab him but Shinjiro blocked continuously, sparks flew everywhere as they clashed weapons, Shinjiro was playing defense as best he could, trying to avoid getting hit, Ken came in and hit Anubis in the back of his head and Anubis turned around quickly and slashed at him, cutting Ken's arm, leaving a deep slash causing blood to come out, Ken just winced and swung his spear at his, Polneraff came in and slashed at him, Anubis slashed at silver chariot and they clashed blades.
"This is a little harder than I thought, good thing I have this now!" Anubis said.
Anubis grabbed the evoker and shot himself, activating Junpei's persona, Hermies, he shot fire at Polneraff and he blocked, Hermies did a physical attack and silver chariot blocked, they were locked in their attacks , Hermies blasted fire at him and Chariot blocked but his armor had gotten extremely heated, suddenly he blasted the armor off at Anubis and Hermies, when they were hit, bruises and gashes started to appear on Junpei's body, while he was distracted Chariot cut his arm and Anubis stabbed his side, causing a stab wound to appear and he spat some blood, Polneraff kept fighting as Anubis kept on fighting back, suddenly Anubis was hit in the head and he fell passed out and it's revealed that it was Shinjiro who did it, he was breathing tiredly.
"Thanks for the help, but I could have handled him myself, " Polneraff said.
"Yeah right," Shinjiro said and kicks the sword across the hall.
After a few minutes of healing the injured, Junpei woke up and the others readied to attack when he sat up.
"Nnng, what happened?" Junpei asked.
"Is that you Junpei?" Yukiko asked.
"Yeah of course, who else?"
"Do you remember anything?" Avdol asked.
"No, what are you talking about?" Junpei asked confused.
"He seems to be back to normal," Zen said putting his crossbow down.
"Thank goodness," Rei said in a sigh of relief while eating meatballs.
"What happened? Why are you guys so weird?" Junpei asked.
"You were possessed by the enemy stand user, it more than likely has to do with the sword," Akihiko said.
"I was? I didn't do anything bad, did I?"
" You fought and badly injured some of us, but other than that, not really," Joseph said.
"You guys were right, I should've listened to you guys about that sword... I'm sorry," Junpei said, looking down in anguish.
"It's okay Junpei, you didn't mean to, just try not to do something that stupid again," Minato said.
"He's always gonna do stupid shit like that," Shinjiro sighed.
"Hey!" Junpei yelled offended.
"What do we do about the sword?" Ken asked.
"Perhaps we should take it with us? It might not be possessed anymore," Aigis suggested.
"Yeah, but what if it still is?" Kakyoin asked.
"We could probably use it to track the stand user, it could have his DNA on it."
"That is true, we could have Fuuka and Rise take a look at it and see if there's anything we can use to trace them on it," Yu said.
"We'll we what we could do if you bring it back," Fuuka said.
"Great, then who's gonna carry it?" Minato asked.
"I will," Mitsuru said.
"Are you sure?" Jotaro asked.
"Yes, don't worry about me, I'll be fine, but if anything happens to me, don't hesitate to hurt me as hard as possible to stop me."
"Okay, Good luck" Yu said.
Mitsuru picked up the sword and the group went on their way, little did they know that things are to get much, much worse for them.
