I apologize that this chapter was released late this may happen a few times due to a very messy schedule.

Kaigo's POV

Well shit, he probably feels even more threatened than I was!

"Umm, I don't mean no harm, please come out of their so I can-" I stated while approaching the cupboard doors, but was interrupted by another kick the chest. I was sent spiraling down and again winced in pain.

FUCK! HOW DOES HE KEEP DOING THAT!

"Just go away and leave me to rot here," the bishop snapped back.

"Listen," I said with a bit of threat in my voice, "If you wanna call me a psycho, call me a psycho, if you wanna rot away forever, rot away forever, but I want you to know that I almost died trying to save you,"

I heard a subtle gasp in the cupboard.

"I'm not going to move from this space 'till you come out of there, got it," I said while sitting in front of the dresser with my back towards it.

Several minutes had passed and the bishop hadn't said a thing to me yet, I was going to break the ice by talking to him, when I was interrupted (again) by the door opening.

Koneko entered my room, looked at my position and asked.

"Why are you sitting there and not on your bed? And why does it seem like someone kicked your chest twice,"

"The bishop somehow got into this cupboard without me noticing, I tried to bring him out but he kicked me in the chest both times, so I'm just gonna wait 'till he comes out," I replied rather swiftly.

"Okay… I guess I'll wait for him as well," Koneko said while sitting besides me.

"So, what'd you find out at the occult research club room?" I questioned while turning my head to look at the white-haired girl.

"Rias defiantly started it," Koneko answered while turning to look at me, "I found pentagrams of fire practically littering both rooms,"

I nodded at this piece of information and decided to break the ice with the bishop and ask him.

"Hey bishop, I'm sure you don't want to be called bishop forever so can you tell us your name please?"

Their was a long gap of silence before I heard a voice saying.

"My name is… Gasper Vladi… but just call me Gasper,"

"Nice to meet you Gasper," Koneko stated in her monotone voice, "My name is Koneko Touja, but just call me Koneko 'kay,"

"And I'm Kaigo… just Kaigo, pleased to meet you Gasper!" I cheered hoping that relieved some of Gasper's fear.

Several minutes had passed again and I was beginning to get restless.

Hey Koneko.

Yeah.

Do you think that Gasper has had a troubling past.

Probably, why'd you ask?

I think if Gasper confides in us, then he'll feel better about trusting us, therefore he might come out.

Well it's worth a shot, go ahead.

With that comment from Koneko I turned my head towards Gasper and asked.

"Hey Gasper, are you scared of something that happened in your past, if so then you can confide in us because we probably know what you're going through,"

I heard shuffling in the cupboard, so I looked in between the slight gap in the double doors, there I partially saw rose red eyes peering into my black pools. I turned my head back and asked.

"Want me and Koneko to confide first so then you can trust us?"

"Yeah…" A faint voice confirmed.

And so we both told Gasper about our past tragedies. I told him about my family, Rias and the forest, where as Koneko told her about Kuroka, the underworld and the Gremory's. Once we finished there was a long period of silence. I wasn't sure about Koneko but I'm still not used to confiding, in bits of my story my voice cracked or when I was listening to Koneko, my eyes would start to tear up and my lip will curl.

"Do you think you can live normal lives, if so then what keeps you motivated?" Gasper asked louder this time.

This question baffled me as tears began to silently stream down my eyes.

Koneko's POV

"Do you two think that you can live normal lives, if so, what keeps you motivated?"

Once Gasper asked that question I was going to answer straight away but, I hesitated, because I heard water hitting the floor and making a faint plop sound, like the first seconds of rain hitting the ground. I looked over and saw a sight I thought wasn't possible at this time.

Kaigo had a normal expression while crying.

"I need to go to the toilet," Kaigo stated with barely any emotion in his voice.

I reached out in an attempt to stop him, but my arm cut itself off as my mind was in a complete muddle, I had never seen Kaigo cry like that, in fact I had never seen anyone cry like that so I didn't know what to say to reassure him.

As Kaigo entered the bathroom that was located in his room I finally answered Gasper.

"Once we kill Rias, me and Kaigo would probably live happily ever after" I stated with sincerity in my voice due to seeing Kaigo in a horrific state, "ever since my sister left, there was a little voice in my head hoping that she's been waiting for me, and ever since I met Kaigo that hope has only solidified itself,"

"Well when I was younger-" Gasper began to confide but I cut him off and said.

"Do you think you can wait until Kaigo gets back? I'm sure he'd want to listen as much as I do,"

A few minutes had passed and Kaigo returned and sat down besides me, I wanted to say something, but like last time I cut myself off due to my fear of saying the wrong thing, the fear of losing what we had now.

"Kaigo is that you?" Gasper asked.

"Yeah…" Kaigo said with no enthusiasm at all, I peered into his eyes and saw jet-black puddles of ink that was surrounded by cracks of bloodshot.

"Kay, then I guess I'll start explaining," Gasper firmly stated, "My father was a pure vampire, and my mother was human, once she gave birth to me, she died… when I grew older and older, I had gotten used to all the terrorising I received from my family for being half human and all the stoning I received from the humans for being half vampire. Then I met this young girl, her name was Valerie and she played with me every chance she got, as I grew older and older she helped me escape from my house, but we were cut short by this crimson haired lady and a man. The man grabbed Valerie by her throat and threatened to kill her if I didn't comply with their orders, I agreed and was given a weird looking figure, once I touched it, I was sent chills down my spine as the piece embed itself within me, after… I saw nothing but blood splatter everywhere, as Valerie dropped to the ground… and then… and then…" Gasper began to slowly trail off and started to cry his heart out.

I then heard and noticed Kaigo's fingers frantically hit the floor as they twitched, I went out to hold his hand, but yet again stopped myself only inches away, I looked up at him and saw he was still indulged in whatever he was thinking.

Come on Koneko, this will be the first step towards finding out what happened when Gasper asked us that question.

My hand propelled into his and I raised it up only to clasp it with my free hand, once this had happened Kaigo's jet-black pools returned to their regular state as he turned and looked at me. I said nothing, physically or telepathically, I just gave him a gaze that signified to control himself. The black-haired boy went from surprised, to understanding as he wore a heart-warming smile that revealed the phrase 'thank you'

"Don't worry Gasper, we can both piece together what happened after that, so please don't worry yourself any further," Kaigo said with all life returning to his tone.

"O-Okay," Gasper cried with cracks left and right in his voice.

Once Gasper had calmed down, I was going to request for him to come out, but Kaigo stopped me.

"Hey Gasper, are you scared that people might harm you because of who you are?" Kaigo questioned, "I was, every time someone I didn't know approached me I'd either lash out or nearly kill them, but that changed once I started trusting Koneko and eventually everyone else is Rias' peerage, beside her of course,"

I heard the cupboard door slightly open, for a split second I turned then looked forward again, I was able to capture a glimpse of Gasper's platinum blonde hair and his scarlet eyes.

"But what if the people I trust betray me?" Gasper complained.

"Then we'll protect you," I answered with care in my tone, "because we won't ever betray you,"

"Ever?" Gasper asked.

"Never!" Kaigo replied.

And with that I felt a very strange sensation that seemed to slightly buzz every fibre of my being, I regained my senses and saw Gasper in front of me and Kaigo. On impulse he started crying and on impulse we both pulled him into a hug.

"Thank you…" Gasper stated while rubbing his eyes, "you don't know how happy I am right now,"

Later that day 21:00

Kaigo's POV

Everyone had returned from the meeting and assembled in the living room where we normally held small gathering's, I didn't ask why the fallen angels attacked because I already knew.

"U-um it-it's n-ni-nice t-to… I CAN'T TAKE IT!" Gasper was positioned in front of everyone including me and Koneko, he was introducing himself, but still had a hard time like I did, however Gasper took it upon himself to use his sacred gear and hide behind Koneko.

"Don't make me do it Koneko, please," Gasper pleaded very faintly.

I sighed, but Koneko turned and put her hand on Gasper's shoulder and said.

"Gaspie, if you want to start trusting people and people to trust you, then you have to overcome this fear, Kaigo did it just fine so I'm sure you can do it too,"

"Huh? Kaigo used to be scared of introductions!" Gasper exclaimed while turning to look at me.

I scratched my right cheek and replied.

"Yeah, I was, but not for long,"

"Ummm, does anyone want to explain what just happened?" Asia asked with a surprised tone, followed by three other nods by Issei, Kiba and Xenovia.

"Oh that was Gasper's sacred gear, the evil eyes. It allows him to stop time for a moment so he can freely move around, Gasper hasn't been able to control it well and it seems to get stronger by the second," I explained.

"Anyway regarding that I-I'm G-Gasper Vladi, p-pleased to meet y-you!" Gasper stuttered while bowing his head.

Everyone introduced themselves just like they did with me, however after Issei's introduction, he questioned why Gasper had to look to attractive but yet still be a guy. Koneko seemed to be disturbed and infuriated by this, Gasper started to stutter before he gave his answer and I gave Issei a sigh.

Once Issei sat down, Rias stood up and approached me, even though her facial expression was normal, I knew that she was furious on the inside. She came closer and closer and closer before she slapped me across the face, everyone was startled by this, even Xenovia who held a stoic expression through events like these.

"To be honest, I'm disappointed in you Kaigo," Rias scolded "not only did you lie in front of everyone, but you've been committing intolerable actions behind our backs, do you have anything to say for yourself,"

Touché.

"If I hadn't lied to you all and slowly pick that seal, then Gasper would be dead," I stated blankly.

"Oh, whatever do you mean Kaigo?" Akeno questioned in her flirtatious tone.

"I mean that when we got to school, the clubroom was on fire, I jumped in with Koneko behind me and managed to save Gasper while barely clasping onto my life," I said with a very serious tone.

"Man, that makes it what… 3 times you've almost died now?" Kiba joked.

"Yeah… I know," I said while sulking.

"There's still one thing I'd like to know," Xenovia finally spoke up, "how were you able to unseal Rias' spell with nothing but basic magic?"

"Well, this is linked to how I became a Nekomata, the so called 'founder of Nekomata' resides within me, his name is Hans and he's the one that actually picked the lock not me," I answered while rubbing the back of my head.

"Can you materialize him into this world?" Rias questioned.

"Hold on let me check," I replied while talking to Hans.

Well, can I?

You can't but I can, form you sage power into which of a tiger and I will do the rest.

I did as I was told and brought forth the sage arts, a few seconds had passed as a full grown white tiger appeared into existence.

The creature glinted in the light of the chandelier as its white fur seemed to match the pale flickers of white merged within my shroud, Hans also had jet-black stripes, the colour matched my eyes almost too perfectly, and the last feature that stood out was his succulent sparkling sapphire eyes.

Everyone besides ,except Koneko, readied their guard at the sudden occurrence, but only lowered it at after realising what happened.

"Please don't be alarmed by my rather abrupt entrance, please know that I mean no harm," Hans said with an apologetic tone.

"YOU CAN TALK!" Issei exclaimed while everybody approached the tiger.

"Indeed I can, I might as well take this opportunity to properly introduce myself," Hans formally stated, "My true name is Byakko, the white tiger, the one that represents autumn and wood, I awaken once someone faces the jaws of death and has no way to escape,"

"Is there any other spirit like you? Regarding the welsh and divine dragon of course," I questioned.

"Why yes there is, there is the Azure dragon Seiryū, the one that represents spring and metal," Hans swiftly replied.

"And on that note I'm going to bed," I announced while making my to my bed.

"Well, I guess we all should head to bed too," Rias proclaimed, "Koneko can you show Gasper to another spare room please?"

"Koneko… I don't wanna sleep on my own…" Gasper quietly complained.

"Okay then, I guess you can sleep with Kaigo tonight," Koneko replied.

That was the last sentence I heard before it all went mumbles.

00:45

I was in bed, with Gasper to the right of me. I couldn't sleep at all, not because of the fire but because of the question Gasper asked me.

"Do you think you can live normal lives, if so what keeps you motivated?"

That question echoed in my mind constantly and continuously. It wouldn't stop until I reached a suitable answer, fortunately a knock on my door snapped me out of my trance.

"Come in," I said casually, not even questioning who would it be at this hour.

The door revealed Koneko who made her way on my bed and sat on it, she then asked me.

"Kaigo can I talk to you about something?"

"Sure thing!" I quietly cheered, trying not wake Gasper up.

"Why were you crying when Gasper asked us that question," the white haired girl questioned me with absolute sincerity in her voice.

I thought for a moment then sat upright on my bed and replied.

"When Gasper asked us if we thought we can live day-day lives, that alone was enough to put my mind in a spiral," I stated while my eyes began to tear up and my hair began to cover my eyes, "I started to think that, I had enough, I had enough of this devil life and I want to start anew, run away and forget everything that has happened and start anew, but then I was thinking if that will ever happen, if I will ever achieve what I've been looking for, if I'll just die with nothing accomplished,"

"I don't understand what you're trying to say," Koneko said very concerned.

My head shot up revealing a pained expression and my eyes were releasing a stream of tears.

"I want to stop fighting! I want to run away and forget everything that has happened! I want to live a normal life!" I exclaimed not even caring if Gasper has awoke from his slumber.

Koneko seemed to be shaken from my outburst, but she quickly regained her senses and pulled my head to her lap.

"Here," she said in her monotone voice, "just cry out all your thoughts now and let them relieve you, 'kay?"

With that order I began to cry my heart out in Koneko's lap, before long I began my slumber.

Koneko's POV

Once Kaigo was asleep Gasper arose and asked with concern in his voice.

"Is Kaigo OK?"

"He's fine, he just needed to get that off his chest," I replied with a heart warming smile while kissing the sleeping Kaigo on the cheek and tucking him into bed.
