My tenth chapter of a story huh? Wow! I never expected my laziness to allow this before.

Anyways I'm glad I could post this to you guys because I'm getting more and more popular everyday and I don't wanna upset my fans. Thanks guys for favoriting, following and review. Your comments make me happy. I also got 7000 views so thanks guys.

Before you read, one guy in the reviews told me I was making some of the characters well... out of characters. I took this comment personally, like a good author should, and tried to find a way to fix this. I re-watched a lot of the Dragon Ball episodes, re-watched Bleach, read other people stories on the two animes and was on their wiki pages a lot the time. So yeah, I think I've finished with my research and I'm read to present what I've learnt.

I do not own DBZ or Bleach.

Reiatsu – spiritual pressure

Reiryoku – spiritual power

Shunpo – Flash Step

Ryusenka – Dragon Hail Flower

Chapter 10

It was soon after the explosion that had just occurred that Hitsugaya was beginning to come around and then proceeded to push the body of the shinigami that he'd been talking to, off him.

"What the hell just happened?" he asked aloud, not really expecting anyone to answer. He looked at the shinigami before him that was unconscious and checked his pulse on his neck to see for any signs that the man was still alive. Letting out a sigh, he smiled noting that there was strong pulse there, indicating that the man was still kicking. Hitsuguya then proceeded to get up from the floor and dusted off the rubble that had befallen on him.

Suddenly, his eyes narrowed as began to remember what had caused this explosion. He clenched his hand on the green scarf around his neck, before pulling it off around his neck and leaving it to flutter to the ground.

Yes, he definitely remembered now.

The sky had been cut horizontally across by a solid black line, just like the garganta when the Espada had tried to invade Karakura Town eighteen months ago. He remembered himself groaning at the time and saying in his mind, that the soul society didn't need to play with hollows at the moment but what had come out after had definitely not been hollows. But then their immense reiatsu had started to shake the whole seretei and was so strong he had felt himself slipping unconscious.

Maybe he had succumbed to the pressure or a boulder had fallen on him whilst he had been in shock, but he didn't remember when he had been knocked out.

And now that he looked up into the sky he saw that the non-hollow beings where still waiting in sky, standing there for some reason, although their presence wasn't resonating with the same high level as before. Maybe he hadn't felt it properly or he'd been drinking way too much iced tea but he could swear their reiatsu had eclipsed that of the head captain, and he was talking about all of them.

Upon closer examination, Hitsugaya realized the beings more or less looked human in appearance, actually scratch that, they seemed completely human apart from the fact they all dressed in a similar uniform to each other that resembled some kind of armour and around their waist was a furry brown belt.

Toshiro frowned then. In no way possible were these strange people above him human. Above average humans only posses a reiryoku that allows them to see ghost and spirit whilst an even stronger human such as Kurosaki's friends could control theirs and fight spirits. But these guys reiatsu were off the charts, and that meant that their reiryoku must have been unbelievable. The power was so high that even for a shinigami, this must have been at least lieutenant level and that definitely was coming from all of them. And to say that now, most people knew the lieutenants' power were nothing to be joking about.

Hitsugaya took to the skies and started to head towards the strange group of people, noting there where about a dozen or so of them. Twelve of them huh? They seem like their prepared to fight rather than talk. I need to finish this quickly and find out is injured, the white haired captain thought.

Nearing them, the group turned to look at the approaching captain. Toshiro then noticed that they were standing around as if they were bored or waiting for something to happen, and soon as he got closer to them, one of the strangely dressed people, a tall, bald muscular one with a wiry moustache, stepped forward as if to greet the captain.

"Are you one of the captains that are meant to rule this shithole?" the man asked nonchalantly in deep gruff voice, as folded his arms across his chest. The man also had a green device on his left eye like a monocle and Toshiro realized that the rest of them were wearing them too.

The captain face was adamant. "I do not know how you came to know of us or how you arrived here for that matter but please return back to wherever you came from and do not return," the tenth division captain said.

The big man with the armour then looked down at smaller man, and small smirk started on his face. Still crossing his arms, he spoke to the captain. "Watcha gonna do if I don't want to, pipsqueak."

"Then I would have no choice but to make you see reason. Either by persuasion..." Toshiro then flashed his katana out of its scabbard, "...Or we could do it by force."

"Alright pint size, it seems you wanna play, huh? Well I got some time to kill so let's go ahead and have some fun. But..." the bald man then pressed a red button that was on his device and the device started to beep and strange numerals appeared on its screen, "What?! Only two thousand! That ain't even a warm-up. Please tell me you're only suppressing your energy like Kakarott did?"

Hitsuguya studied the device on his eye carefully. "That device," he pointed, "It tells you the power of an opponent, am I correct?"

"Huh? Yeah it does. But that doesn't matter; you're still a weakling with a measly power level of two thousand. I thought the captains of this place were meant to be the strongest?" the bald man replied with a look of disgust on his face.

"Power alone does not mean fighting ability. The way you fight determines the winner," the captain coolly replied.

The man waved his hand at him. "Oh please, cut the crap. These scouters are the new and improved version. They are able to detect the true power of an opponent no matter how much he tries to suppress it."

"interesting but now, this is just getting tedious. It seems you do not want to listen to reason so I'll have to take the alternative," the white haired prodigy said as he took out his katana and got in a front face stance. "I'll have to end this quickly."

A few minutes before the fight

"Alright already, open the stupid gargantic or whatever you call them so we can go, dumbasses," Nappa barked at the eleven other soldiers accompanying him.

All muttering an annoyed 'yessir' they rushed as the prepared to travel to the place known as the Seretei. It had took a few months of planning but the king, the first commander, Aizen and a handful of other people in high ranks, including Nappa, had finally devised a plan that could allow them to fight again and had developed a partnership of sorts with Aizen. In return for their might and fighting ability, Aizen had made a deal with their king and so far only the king new the full meaning of this deal.

Now it was time to put the plan into action and their first order of business were simple: collect Aizen from the seretei.

"Hurry up already, I'm getting bored out of my skull waiting for you guys!" the saiyan yelled again.

"Fifth Commander Nappa, we have the garganta set and ready to go. On your signal sir," one of the saiyans said.

The bald saiyan smirked. "Finally, some action. I know this isn't the fight with Kakarot and the revenge on that squirt Vegeta I've been waiting for all these years but this'll be a good warm up for the main event. I'm literally trembling in excitement," Nappa said to himself in his deep nasally voice, earning a few strange looks from his fellow saiyans.

"Sir, King Vegeta himself has said not to attack the people there, just retrieve Aizen and return back," the same saiyan from before said.

Nappa glared at the man with an incredulous look on his face. "What! Are you kidding me? Well that officially ruined my mood," he groaned.

"But the King has said that if provoked, extreme force can be used and he has also mentioned that the sooner you get Aizen, the sooner you can meet up with the First Commander Bardock in the place known as 'Karakura Town'."

"Really? Alright!" he clenched his fist and his cocky smirk returned. "Let's go already men."

There was a noise that started, sounding a lot like a whistle that was being blown on a high frequency. The men standing in front of Nappa ran from where they were standing and moved to position themselves behind the commander. Suddenly, from the place that was emitting the high frequency, a black horizontal line appeared out of nowhere and it immediately began to get wider till it was wide enough for the saiyans to be able to walk through it. Then as if like a mouth not wanting to spit out what it was eating, the line reluctantly opened and for a while, space and time had been breached by this black void.

What was inside the garganta was nothingness, just a black void, emptiness. The presence it was giving was quite eerie and it didn't bode too well for the bald saiyan.

"That's the place we're heading into? Doesn't look like a place where people live to me," he said. And its giving me the creeps.

"Actually, from what we've been told, it's just meant to be like a passage and on the other side is the seretei."

"It better be. That Aizen guy better not be pulling anything funny," he replied. Then walking into the garganta he said to his anxious looking saiyans. "Hurry up, ya pussies. The sooner we get this over with the sooner I can go meet up with Bardock."

"Y-yes sir!" they all exclaimed and then rushed to catch up with him.

"Kakarot... Vegeta, hold on just a bit, 'cos when I return..."he mumbled to himself whilst clutching his fist hard. A maniacal grin was plastered to his face and his eyes were wild. "Hehe, I'll rip your fucking heads off!"

He began to laugh hysterically as he ventured into the darkness.

-.-

"Ok sir, the exit should be right here in front of us... erm it should be."

"Well I don't see any exit," Nappa squinted, but he couldn't make out anything in the gloom. "Is there supposed to be like a door or like a cave or something?"

The saiyan shook his head. "No. It's supposed to be like the garganta."

"Well I don't see jack-all here... or anywhere."

"I don't understand it. The egg-heads said that there should be like a tear in space and we would see the other side," a saiyan with a blue scouter said, sounding exasperated.

There was silence in the air as everybody began to ponder. Nappa was not pleased. He was getting more and more frustrated as he stood there with each passing seconds until...

"Everybody power up," he ordered gruffly.

They all turned to him questioningly as if to think he had finally gone off his rocker. Actually, ever since he had been killed and came to other world, Nappa had never seemed the same. There were times you saw foam spewing from the corners of his mouth and other times he'd attack the saiyan soldiers randomly, screaming the names of Vegeta and another person called Kakarot. Heck, he had even attacked the king on one occasion and the First Commander on another, because he thought he was staring at the actual Prince Vegeta and the actual Kakarot. Of course that hadn't fated so well for the bald saiyan and he spent a whole week in recuperation. Eventually the saiyan's rage had begun to quiver down during the years where he would get a little brushed up when people mentioned the forbidden duo near him but now that the thought of facing Kakarot and Vegeta had risen, the Fifth's madness seemed to return again, and frankly, it was a scary thought for the saiyan soldiers.

"What are you all looking at? I said power up!" he yelled.

Immediately, they began to let their power flow out of them as they all began to shout. A white aura surrounded them as they increased their power. A little trick they picked up in hell.

There was a very audible crack in the air like glass. Then another was heard followed by many more as the saiyans yelled even louder. Soon a white line appeared in front of them and it got wider and wider until, like the previous garganta, it opened up to reveal a clear sky.

Still the saiyans continued to power up, not taking note that the garganta had opened already. Then, they heard a noise like the Earth rumbling from below them, and they looked up to see it was open.

"Damn, I think we overdid it a little bit. We might've caused an earthquake down there," the commander said as he stared at scene before him.

It was nice to say the least, the view that is. The seretei wasn't what they were expecting it all to be though. From what they heard, this place was where the spirits which were good in life went to so it was the equivalent to heaven in their dimension. But what they saw seemed like a normal village, which were made from materials that looked like stone. The ground seemed like... well the ground. C'mon, you're expecting guys who went to hell to not think that heaven's floors where like golden clouds. To say the least Nappa thought this place looked like a shithole.

"What a shithole," he exclaimed.

They walked/flew forwards into the sky and stood there to examine the damage they had done. Seeing the ruckus below, they saw that the buildings had been broken down and the earth looked like it had been levelled. People where sprawled on the floor looking unconscious or maybe dead. There wasn't a sure fire way to know and none of them could have been asked to use their scouters.

Nappa, turning to face the group, put on a smirk on his face, "Alright men, we seemed to have caused a commotion here. Guess this people are weaker than we estimated but still don't be letting your guards down just yet," his face lost his grin as his eyes got darker. "These people down here maybe weaklings but we still gotta deal with these so called Captains."

Then looking down at the ground below him before casting his arm out towards his men, he barked to his men again. "Now, all of you, power down a little, no need to go all out just yet."

"Oh and by the way," he said, his eyes going dark again. "Anyone approaches us; I get first dibs on that one. Everyone, stay the fuck outta my way."

Present time

"I'll have to end this quickly,"

Nappa smirked at the captain. "And how you gonna do that junior? You gonna try scratch me with that butter knife you got there," he taunted.

Hitsugaya gripped his zanpaktou tightly but still his face remained passive, his hair began to wave as he began to power up, his body emitting an incredible reiatsu. Steam began to appear on his clothing as well as his sword. "Sit upon the Frozen Heavens, Hyōrinmaru!" the captain exclaimed.

The captain blade began to gleam as its tip also began to steam. The saiyans looked on in wonder at the sight. It seemed a lot like magic to them. But if they were amazed at the moment then just wait.

Out from the tip of his sword, what resembled that of ice began to flow from it and continued to flow until it resembled a snake. The front of the ice snake then glowed red and suddenly two red eyes opened to look at the saiyans. In fact the whole face had begun to morph until it looked like a-

"D-dragon," Nappa whispered, his face had a priceless look on it as he stared, amazed at the beast that appeared in front of it.

"A Chinese Ice Dragon to be exact," the kid captain corrected. "Now let's finish this."

He flashed from his position and was in front of Nappa before the saiyan could bat an eyelid. He held his blade aimed straight at the saiyan's heart, his tip touching his armour. He looked at the man in the eye, his face still ever so calm, before whispering, "Ryusenka."

He didn't plunged the blade into the saiyan but a steam of cold air erupted from its tip and covered the man. Immediately, ice began to form on Nappa's chest and it began to encase the rest of his body.

"What the hell is this, squirt?" the commander roared as he began to struggle but soon the ice had encased his arms and legs and he couldn't move, only his face remained, although that was quickly swallowed up too. The ice block that was left of the bald saiyan still continued to grow till it now looked like a flower as it floated in the sky.

That all took three seconds.

Toshiro now turned to face the rest of the intruders. Soon, the captain thought, the ice block will dissipate into tiny ice shards and that will be one problem over with. Although it would have been quicker if I had done it in my bankai form. Well no worries now, that man had seemed like the leader of the group so the rest should be easy to subdue.

His ears twitched. He heard a crack then another one. Turning around, he saw something that seemed to melt his cool demeanour. The flower had started to glow with a bluish tint and the intensity of the light increased until the captain had to shield his eyes from the light. He then heard a smash and when the light had died down, he put his arms down to look at what had happened.

Stood there was the bald man from before, his face looking pissed. There where not scratches whatsoever on him and he looked as he did before meaning Toshiro's attack obviously had no effect on him. "Brat. What kind of cowardly attack do you call that," the saiyan growled.

Hitsugaya's eyes, which had been left wide open, now returned to its cool composure. "Well it looks like I underestimated you."

"And it looks like I overestimated you. No way you could be a captain, you call that a real attack?" he snarled. "I'll show how a real warrior fights."

This time, it was Nappa who disappeared. The captain looked around, everywhere, but couldn't even see a trace of him but that was to be short lived as the saiyan appeared in front of him, with his fist giving off a white aura, and drove his fist through the captain and his fist reappeared out of his back.

Blood also splashed of his back and from his mouth out and in a few seconds Toshiro eyes, looking very surprised, glazed over and his body, which had been trembling, went limp.

Nappa pulled his hand out of the captain and let him plummet to the ground as he wiped the blood off his arm. "Dumb kids these days! Never respect their elders. Kind reminds me of Kakarot's brat."

He was about to walk off when he heard a swishing sound. Looking up at his fellow saiyan soldiers, he was looking to see what was up. They pointed behind him, with some of them a look of disbelief on their face.

Now turning around too, to look in curiosity at what his soldiers were gawking at, the bald man was a bit surprised to see the kid still there.

"I thought I killed you," the bald man said stupidly.

"Well you obviously didn't," Toshiro replied drily. He was back again and with it his cool demeanour had returned too. "I guess you underestimated me too."

"You weaklings, you're just like cockroaches. Squash 'em and they crawl back up again," the saiyan growled again. But then his body relaxed and he folded his arms and a cocky grin returned on his mug. "But I guess since you don't kill off easy, I can play for a bit. And how did you not die anyway?"

"That was an ice clone you attack," he said signalling to the now dispersing body of his clone with his thumb. "I can make it seem very realistic."

Now Hitsugaya got in a stance and he gripped the hilt of his katana with both of his hands and a very serious face was put on. "Since I underestimated you, I give you my sincere apology for that. My name is Toshiro Hitsugaya. I am captain of the tenth division here and I promise that from now on... I won't go so easy on you. "

"You're a captain huh? So I guess that weak show was all an act? Well I apologize as well, my name is Nappa and I am the fifth commander of the saiyan army." He got into a fighting stance and his grin got ten times wider. "I guess I could kill some time whilst I wait for Aizen to show up."

Toshiro's eyes opened up and he appeared shocked, confusing the saiyan in front of him. "What? Was it something I said? Don't go backing down on me now, captain."

There was silence for a few seconds as the captain processed what he'd heard. The realizing the saiyan had asked him a question, he looked suspiciously at the flying figure. "How do you know about Aizen?" Toshiro shouted at the saiyan, his face still contorted with some disbelief and shock.

The saiyan began to laugh now, a laugh that was just tempting someone to grab a baseball bat and whack the guy on the head, to put it simply, it was one of those laughs people couldn't stand. "This Aizen guy keeps getting better and better. If he's inspiring this much fear into you then, this is gonna be too easy."

"What are you talking about? What's going to be easy," the captain asked seriously.

Nappa then started to count his fingers. "I'd say you got about five days left," he said, showing five fingers.

"Why what's happening in five days," Toshiro asked desperately.

Nappa chuckled again. "This place you call home... well lets just after this event, you want be calling it that anymore," he laughed a bit more before he looked at the captain with a crazed smirk. "Alright, enough chatter. Let's fight."

Hitsugaya closed his eyes as he began to look at the situation critically. It seemed these guys were connected to Aizen somehow meaning that Aiizen sudden escape from prison hadn't been a coincidence and these people may have been the cause of that. It also meant that Aizen wasn't the only threat to the seretei that they were facing. Whilst everyone was busy trying to capture Aizen, they had left backs open to attack and that was the purpose of this group. It seemed the seretei were fighting a two sided war than they originally thought.

And could these be the last of these so called saiyans. The man before him had mentioned himself being the fifth commander meaning there was some kind of ranking system about them, possibly indicating they had an army at their disposal hence the rank of commander.

A bead of sweat rolled down Toshiro's head, ironic though because of his ice-like nature. He didn't have to worry about that now. After he finishes taking care of this problem, he could come and discuss his idea with the head commander later. That settled it then, he was going to have to go all out.

"I haven't had to use my bankai in a long time now, making you the first to actually feel my full power," he said quietly, so only Nappa heard him.

"What the hell's a bankai?" he asked in confusion.

"I'll show you," his body began to glow again like before and his eyes flashed white before returning to its normal green colour. His hair became wavy again but instead of steam reappearing like before, instead ice started to encase parts of his body. "And after I beat you, I'm going to take you in for questioning."

"Is that so, captain?" the cocky saiyan taunted.

The Captain however did not reply to the saiyan. Instead his eyes widened and shouted out these words, "Ban... kai!"

All that was heard was clash of sword on body on in this case could have been mistaken for another sword hitting another.

They had been fighting for a while now. Her, putting all her effort into the fight and trying to end this as quickly as possible. Him, obviously toying with her as tried to test his new power and smiling as he blocked and dodged her almost too-fast-for-the-eyes-to-see attacks.

She was breathing slightly, as she had been on the attack now for what seemed like ages. He hadn't even bothered to try and even attack. Only getting in very close to her, making like he was going to attack her but pulling back at the last second as she flinched and which then caused him to chuckle at her.

It got on her nerves to no end and each time she just attacked with more intensity and speed that by now, that the other captains would have trouble keeping watch on their speed, yet Aizen was still toying with her.

"Soi-fon, you've gotten so much faster since the last time I saw you. It's quite unbelievable to be honest, I can hardly keep up with you," he lied and they both knew it too which made the captain growl even more and attack with more ferocity.

Of course now she was getting tired and you could hear her breathing quite loudly. She didn't understand it though, she was acknowledged to be the fastest person in the whole seretei and everyone knew her shunpo was very hard to keep up with. And what was worse was that she was in her shikai state so she should have been even faster. Yet, the bastard Aizen was just toying with her speed.

They paused for a moment, one of them breathing heavily and the other a calm smile plastered on their face. It was obvious that the situation wasn't looking good for Soi-fon and she knew it. she known that a situation like this was very likely and thats why she had come prepared in case she couldn't overpower Aizen.

She groaned inwardly as she thought of the plan her and her men had been discussing only previously and knew she would regretted it but right now the situation was bleak. She knew she couldn't continue to fight like this and only kami knew when Aizen would stop toying around and decide to go on the offense. No, right now was the only chance she had, it was either this or let Aizen run rampant, and destroy her home.

"Soi-fon darling, you know by now that you have no chance of winning and I have only been toying with you, getting to grips with my new saiyan power, right?" the calm faced man said to her. "Just give up my dear, and wait with me. It'll be better when I kill all the captains and destroy the seretei at the same time."

"You're sick Aizen," she hissed. She hoped to keep him talking by stalling. She reached behing her back and pulled a small device from her belt.

Aizen didnt seem to notice or was just letting her be. "Maybe I am, maybe not. Everyone has their bouts of madness every once in a while." He chuckled.

"But you're not right in your head. Why do you want to destroy the seretei? It was you who attacked us first and we were defending ourselves," she said.

"Correction! I was only trying to get Karakura Town, you got in my way."

"It is our duty to protect the human world, the Soul King entrusted us to the task," she defended.

Aizen waved his hand. "It doesn't matter now, I don't need that measly town anymore. I don't even care about the Soul King anymore."

"Then why are you doing this," she asked. She only needed a few more seconds.

"Don't get me wrong, I don't want to do anything to this place just yet, instead I have found a new power, one far greater than the Soul Kings' and soon my comrades will come and we will go to the place with the power." He started to laugh and it sounded hysterical. She was sure now; Aizen was crazy. "Wait five days my dear Soi-fon, five days!"

She gritted her teeth and pressed the button behind her back. Hoping the rest of her men had heard it, she turned to face the crazy man before her. "You won't live long enough to last five days you bastard."

Before he could reply, she got into a stance where her legs where the same distance apart as her shoulder and she raised her hands together. She crossed her two index and middle fingers whilst she brought the rest of her fingers into a fist. She then put her two hands together so her two fingers touched and her fist touched two.

At first not realizing what she was doing, Aizen let her have her fun. Then realizing what she was doing, his eyes widen in what was worry but then he smirked. "You're the leader of the Stealth Force not the Kido Corps; you won't be able to pull off an attack like that?" he grinned.

She didn't heed him and started the incantation. "The gods who holds the key to life." Her clothes and body started to wave.

"The man who drinks from the cup of salvation."

"From demons that controls the pillars of time."

"And the soul of the universe which all things come."

Her reiatsu was no flowing out like a tornado and Aizen was now worried. He now prepared to attack her but it was too late! She looked up at him and her eyes had a blue shine to the them, and her body was glowing. "Bakudo 99: Resrict!"

I wanted to continue this chapter so badly but when I looked at the word count I was very surprised to see 5000 words, 4001 more and it would have been over nine thou-

No that wasn't funny.

I'm truly sorry for taking ages to update but this story was killing me. I had to rewrite and rewrite the story so many times that I had about five other versions of the story so yeah it was long.

This chapter was long, easily the longest chapter I have ever written on this site and I want to know what you guys think about this. Too long or should I go back to short chapters? The thing is that I felt the story was moving slowly so I have been trying to speed up the plot a little and finish this story in around 20 chapters And then continue with my other stories and I feel this story is taking too long but I don't want to discontinue it because I still got many ideas in my head for this.

Anyways enough talking. Thanks for reading this and leave a review, favourite and follow this story and hopefully there'll be more chapters. Remember, reviews make my brain explode and I love having my brain explode due to reviews so yeah keep them coming I get my wish.

BrainXplosion out.
