Summary: This is the story about team 7 with Hinata in the twist. She is on the same team as the boy she has a crush on and the most popular guy in the class. However what happens when Hinata feeling for Naruto to fade and her feeling starts tingling toward Sasuke. And Sasuke begins to have feelings for her. See what happens in their new life as Team 7. 10. Intruders

Chapter 10

A week pass since Team 7 returned from the Land of Waves, now it was time for team to get back to work. Kakashi told his team to meet at the same small bridge they met at when they had their mission on repairing the house. So far Hinata and Sasuke were the only ones there, Hinata was standing near the rails with her hands folded in front of her, while Sasuke was leaning against the rails of the bridge.

Hinata looked up and down the road to see if Naruto or Kakashi was coming "I-I expected sensei t-to be late, I d-didn't know Naruto would be too"

"I'm not surprised, that loser kept complaining about how Kakashi is alway late, he must've thought he shouldn't come on time either" Sasuke said

"Well, y-you can't really b-blame him for n-not coming on t-time, can you?"

"Not really"

"I-I'm sure sensei won't keep us w-waiting to long this time, w-we should have f-faith that he'll c-come soon"

"Right, I'm sure he will when pigs fly" Sasuke said smirking

"You know I'm starting to like Hinata a lot more than you and Naruto" A voice above them said

Sasuke and Hinata looked up and saw their sensei standing a distance from them on the rails. "I know I'm always late but that was just mean" Kakashi said walking towards them

Sasuke just rolled his eyes

"G-Good morning, sensei" Hinata said greeting him

"Good morning to you too, my favorite student" Kakashi said smiling through his mask "I thought I might try to be on time or a few minutes late this time, apparently only one person has faith in me." He said patting Hinata's head then looks around "So our knucklehead isn't here yet huh?"

"W-Well not ye-" A scream cut Hinata off. Everyone looked in the direction of the scream to see Naruto flying through the air and into the river below the bridge.

Sasuke and Hinata looked at their teammate in the river and back at their sensei for an answer "While coming here, I passed the ramen shop and overheard Naruto's conversation with the owner, apparently he was going to goof off for another hour or so before getting here, so I left a little something to make sure he get here" Kakashi said smiling

This guy is really something...Sasuke thought looking at Naruto climbing out of the river

Hinata watched as a soaking wet Naruto marched toward them with an angry look on his face "Um N-Naruto, let's n-not do anything r-rash now"

"Not do anything rash?! I was just blasted from the ramen shop into a river and was made an idiot out of and you're telling me not to do anything rash?!" Naruto yelled

"Oh you don't need anyone's help to be made an idiot out of, Naruto, you do that well on your own" Sasuke said glaring at him for yelling at Hinata

"Not helping, S-Sasuke!" Hinata said while trying to calm Naruto down

After a while, things calm down a bit and they began their mission while Naruto was still glaring at Kakashi, muttering colorful words under his breath. Their first job was to pull weeds out of the garden for a middle age woman, Hinata and Sasuke were careful pulling out just the weeds, while Naruto was pulling anything green out to prove he was better at it than Sasuke. But he got a black eye from the woman because he ruined herbs she was growing, The others apologized for that and Hinata offered to help replant them with her. Their second job was to clean up the river, while cleaning Naruto slipped and was carried off to a waterfall but before he could get far Sasuke saved him while called him a loser. The last job was walking dogs and of course Naruto ends up getting hurt because he took the biggest dog to walk but the dog ends up walking him into a mine field.

After their mission was over, Sasuke and Hinata held each of Naruto's arms and helped him walk while Kakashi was walking behind them.

"Y-You seem to h-have a bit of bad l-luck, Naruto" Hinata said

"No that's where you're wrong Hinata, he's really just one big problem" Sasuke said smirking

Naruto puts an angry look on his face, gets out of Sasuke's and Hinata's hold and pounces "Sasuke!"

Hinata quickly grabs a hold of Naruto's jacket and holds him back "C-Calm down, Naruto!"

Kakashi sighs "Guess we're not making a lot of progress on the teamwork thing, hmm?"

Naruto looked at Sasuke leaving and glares "That's right, our teamwork is all messed up and it's all because of you, Sasuke! You think you're better than everyone else?!"

As he kept walking, Sasuke said "No everyone, just you. Face it, I'm better and strong than you are" he then stops and looks back at Naruto " It's a fact, unless you have what it takes to prove me wrong"

Naruto glare intense as he and Sasuke were staring at each other. As Sasuke kept staring at Naruto, he thought back to Haku and scowled I don't have time to waste on Naruto and these lame missions, there are still ninja out there that can out fight me. I've get to hone my skills, so I can beat them

I was hoping their teamwork on the last mission would bring them closer together not farther apart Hinata thought as she nervously glanced back and forward that the two

Above him, Kakashi looked at the sky and saw there was a hawk flying above them. Right then, he knew that the Hokage had summoned him for a meeting, he looked back at his team and said "Ok, let's call it a day. You can beat each other to a pulp some other time, anyway I have to file my report on this mission"

"Whatever, I'm outta here" Sasuke's sight turns to Hinata "See you later, Hinata". Hinata nods, blushing "Y-Yeah" Sasuke nods to her and walks away.

Naruto looked back and forward at Sasuke and Hinata, as soon as Sasuke was out of sight he turns to Hinata "Hey, what's going on with you two?"

"W-What do y-you mean, Naruto?" Hinata said confused

"I mean why is Sasuke so nice to you and such a jerk to everyone else? It's like your special or something"

Hinata thought about it for a moment and realized that he was right, Sasuke was only kind to her and was rude to everyone else, even though she knew he shouldn't be acting that way, her heart fluttered at the thought of being special to Sasuke.

Naruto waved his hand in front of her face "Hello? Earth to Hinata, are you in there?"

Hinata looked back at Naruto, blushing hard "O-Oh sorry, w-well maybe he has a r-reason for that"

Naruto snorts, folding his arms "Yeah, the reason is he is a freakin bastard that everyone is not as important as he is"

"No, he's not!" Hinata said rising her voice

Naruto blinked, shocked at her outburst

Hinata covered her mouth, blushing hard "S-S-Sorry, N-Naruto I didn't mean t-to yell"

Naruto still in a bit of shock, asks "Um, you ok Hinata?"

"I'm f-fine" she said twiddling her fingers "Y-You know, you're rude t-to him too, Naruto. M-Maybe if you start being n-nice to him, h-he'll do the same in r-return"

"Ha! I'll die before I start being nice to him, he has to say sorry for belittling me before that" Naruto stated

Before Hinata could say anything, she notices a fake squared shape rock coming towards them, then see it had stopped as soon as she spotted it.

"Hey, Hinata what's-" Naruto said before he stopped and turn to see what Hinata was looking at. He stared at the fake rock for a minute and turn back to Hinata "You see what I see?"

Hinata nods and turns the other way pretending to look somewhere else but really keeping an eye on feign rock. Naruto looked at her for a moment before realizing what she was doing Oh I see now, nice thinking Hinata.. Naruto pretend to ignore the rock and starts walking forward only to have the fake rock follow him. Then he started jogging back and forward away from it but it kept following him, unknown to them, Hinata had turn around and been watching since Naruto began to jog.

After a few minutes of running from the fake rock, Naruto stopped and faced the fake rock, putting on hand on his hip and the other pointing to the fake rock "That's the worst disguise of all time! There's no such thing as squared rocks, it's completely obvious"

"You saw through my camouflage again, you're slick boss just what I expect from my greatest rival" a voice in the fake rock said before the rock disappeared in a large cloud of smoke. Most of the smoke clear revealing three kids coughing "I think we used a little too much gun powder you guys" the kid in the middle said

Hinata walked up to the kids "Are y-you three alright?"

All of them quickly got up and nod

Hinata then looked at Naruto curiously "N-Naruto, do you know t-these kids?"

"Well I know one of them but not the other two" Naruto said

Just then the kids start introducing themselves, first was the only girl among the three named Moegi, she claimed to be the sassiest girl in the ninja academy. The next was a dull looking boy with glasses and snot running down his nose named Udon, he said he love algebra. The last boy was Konohamaru, the one claiming to be to be the number one ninja in the village and Naruto's rival. They called themselves the Konohamaru ninja squad.

Naruto whispered to Hinata "Konohamaru is the grandson of The Third Hokage"

Hinata eyes widen but nods, looking at Konohamaru I do see a little of the Hokage in him then she notices the matching goggles on their heads and smiles, They really admire Naruto like I do, except I'm not wearing goggles, it's really cute.

Naruto notices the goggles on them too "What are those things? Those goggles you're wearing on your head?"

Konohamaru giggles, fixing his goggles "You use to wear them, so now we're copying you" he said grinning

"Hmm" Naruto didn't look impressed or honored

"Hey, come on boss! Why are you being like that? You ought to be more excited!" Konohamaru said a little annoyed with his rival's reaction

"Soo, did you want something, Konohamaru?" Naruto asked no change to the expression of his face or attitude

Konohamaru move to his friend, Udon and whispered "He's just trying to be cool"

Moegi stepped closer to Naruto "You know what we want! Are you busy now?" She asked

Naruto smirks, pointing his thumb at himself "I have to train, Believe it!"

"What?! But you promise you would play ninja with us today, come on!" Konohamaru demanded

Naruto scratched his head, giving an awkward smile "O-Oh did I say that?" Argh if I say yes, these kids will keep bugging me all day and I won't get any training done!

Hinata saw that the kids started to look disappointed "N-Naruto, don't you alway s-say you never go back on y-your word?"

"Well, y-yeah but.."

"Well i-if that's t-true, you would play with t-these kids" Hinata stated

Naruto keeps scratching his head, laughing awkwardly I'm so not getting any training in today

Looking back and forward at them, Konohamaru ask "Hey boss, who is that girl anyway?" The way she lectured him, it's almost as if she's his.. A light bulb lit in his head and he grins "Oh I get it! You're a smooth operator boss"

"Huh?" Naruto and Hinata both said confused

"Oh come on, I know that she's your.." Sticking out his pinky finger "Girlfriend!"

Hinata just sweatdrops at the comment if someone had said that before, I would probably faint but now it's just a little awkward. She looks at Konohamaru "I'm n-not his girlfriend, I'm h-his teammate"

"Boss, is that true?"

"Yeah, she's not my girlfriend" Naruto said casually then grins "my girlfriend is cuter and way smart, her name's Sakura!"

Hinata sighs, shaking her head I know if Sakura hears this, she'll beat him to a pulp, I just hope, for Naruto's sake, she doesn't catches wind of this

"So, will you play ninja with us now, boss?" Moegi said excitedly

Naruto sighs "Sure, I'll play with you" there's no way I can get out of this

Udon looks at Hinata "W-Will you play with u-us too?" He asked timidly

He's so cute, he reminds me a little of myself "If y-you want me too" she said smiling

Konohamaru grins "The more, the merrier! Let's get started!" He said pulling out a kunai.

Hinata eyes widen at sight of it "W-Wait a second, I thought w-we were playing ninja!"

"We are" Konohamaru said

"So w-why are you using a-a real kunai knife?!"

"Aw, come on! So one weapon is real, it's not gonna hurt anybody"

"One of it's purposes is to hurt somebody!"

"It'll be fine, here it comes!"

"W-Wait!" Hinata shouted but was too late as Konohamaru threw the kunai at her. She easily dodged it and showed as the kunai flew into the tree. They all heard a thud and then buzzing sound, Hinata went a little pale as she heard that second sound "I-I think we should leave"

"Why?" Naruto asked

Hinata heard the buzzing sound getting louder and pointed in it's direction "That's why!"

Everyone looked at what Hinata was pointing to and saw a swarm of bees coming at them. Everyone screamed and ran as fast as they could, Konohamaru had picked up speed and ran ahead of the group.

Hinata looked back at the bees They're getting closer, think what can stop bees? She thinks and eyes widen That's it! She reaches into her ninja pouch, pulled out 2 smoke bombs and threw them at the ground causing the bombs to blasts. Large clouds of smoke emerged from the bombs and surrounded the bees. After the smoke cleared, some of the bees were on the ground, alive and the other were flying away.

Hinata sighed in relief, happy that her plan worked but she couldn't enjoy her small victory as she heard a cry of pain. Hinata turned and saw she was far from the group, where the cry was heard and rushed to them to see Konohamaru being choked by his collar and scarf by a guy with a black jumpsuit with purple marking on his face and something that look like a mummy on his back. Next to him was a girl with blond hair styled in 4 pig tails, a light purple ninja outfit and a large fan hanging on her back. What caught hinata's attention mostly were their headbands That symbol..their from the Village Hidden in the Sand in the Land of Winds.

"Konohamaru!" She heard Naruto called out in worry and turned her attention to the little boy being gripped tighter by the larger guy. She looked down at Moegi "What happened?"

Moegi looked up at her with concern in her eyes "We were running but Konohamaru ran faster and accidentally bumped into this guy"

"So does this hurt, punk?" The guy gripping Konohamaru collar asked

"Put him down, Kankuro or you know you'll pay for it later" the blonde giHrl said

"P-Please let him go, it w-was only an accident" Hinata said doing her best to calm the situation down.

Naruto clutched his fist, shouting at Kankuro "You better take your hands off of him right now!"

Looking at Naruto's headband, Kankuro had this twisted smile on his face So these are the leaf village genin "We have few minutes before he gets here, let's mess up these punks, huh?"

Hinata was trying to calm things down but it was hard for her to do so when she was getting angry herself This is disgraceful! Picking on a child like this, he has no right!She looked over to Naruto and knew he was going to start a fight. Well it's not like we have much of a choice but the best thing to do is to get Konohamaru away from him

Konohamaru tried to get out of Kankuro's hold by kicking him in his chest but it had no effect on Kankuro "Let go of me, you jerk!"

"You're feisty but not for long" He grips the collar tighter

Naruto couldn't stand this any longer "Put him down!" He said charging at Kankuro

Seeing Naruto come charging at him, Kankuro gave a menacing look and moved his fingers in the hand that wasn't holding Konohamaru. That movement of fingers causes Naruto to slip and fall on his back.

Naruto sat up, confused at what happened "What the? What was that?!"

"You're a leaf genin too, looks like your village is full of wimps" Kankuro said holding Konohamaru higher up causing him to groan in pain.

"Konohamaru!" Moegi and Udon said with concern

Naruto get up and pointed at Kankuro "That's it! Drop him now or I take you apart! You got that, fool?!"

"Naruto, threats aren't going to help now" Hinata said with a low tone. She seem to have been the only one that noticed Kankuro's finger movement He was the one that caused Naruto to fall and the way he moved his fingers. It's almost...as if he was moving..a puppet.

"You're annoying, all of you. I don't like runts or any other scrawny weaklings, so when a wimp like this start shooting off his mouth" Kankuro tightens his grip more "I just want to break him in half!"

Naruto and Hinata gasp in horror while Moegi and Udon were behind them in tears

The blonde girl besides Kankuro sighed "Fine, I'm not involved in any of thing, ok?"

Hinata heard whimpering, looked at Konohamaru and saw the pain and fear in his eyes and clutches her hands tight I can't...I won't stand for this! She goes charging at Kankuro

"Oh now you want to try? Big mistake" Kankuro said as he saw Hinata coming towards him.

Hinata knew what he was going to do and acted quickly. She took a shuriken out of her pouch and threw it at his unoccupied hand. Kankuro saw the shuriken and moved to the left, dodging it. What he didn't know was that he did exactly what Hinata wanted him to do. As he was distracted, she send charka to her feet giving her a boost of speed and as soon as she was close enough, Hinata attacked the pressure points in Kankuro's arm.

"Gah!" Kankuro shouted as he felt his arm go limped and numb, which caused him to lose his grip on Konohamaru. Hinata quickly caught him and jumped back to the others with him in her arms.

I have to admit that was impressive, she really caught Kankuro by surprise the blonde girl thought looking at Hinata

Hinata set Konohamaru down and checked him over "Are you o-ok?"

Konohamaru wiped his eyes and nods "Thank you" he then went to his friends and they fussed over him.

Naruto looked at Hinata in shock and awe, I couldn't even make it close to him but somehow Hinata could, she even injured him "Hinata, where did all that come from?!"

Looking at the younger kids, Hinata answered "I g-guess it was from him harming s-someone who was w-weaker than him. I mean h-he was picking on Konohamaru and wouldn't stop, m-my anger got to me a l-little"

"Yeah I know you did that to save him and all, which is great, but how did you move like that?" Naruto asked

"Well it was f-from-"

"HEY, YOU BITCH!"

Hinata turned her sight to Kankuro who was yelling at her. He was holding his left arm with his right one and giving her a nasty look "What the hell did you do to my arm?!"

"I attacked t-the pressure points in your a-arm causing it to go very numb, it's not permanent but you have no u-use of that arm for the time being" Hinata answered giving him a stern look "And it's n-not like you gave me m-much of a choice!"

Kankuro kept glaring at her before taking a good look at Hinata and smirked "Heh maybe not all of you are weaklings, it would've been a bummer if you didn't put up a fight. You just made this more fun for me and a lot worse for you"

I was hoping he would just go away, now I really do have to fight Hinata got into her fighting stance

Kankuro slowly reached into his pouch for his kunai "it's too bad I have to waste you, you're actually kinda cute" He then glared at her "If you weren't such a runt!" He said charging

However before he could get close to her, something hit his hand hard causing him to drop his kunai. Kankuro grunts at the stinging pain in his hand and looked at the ground to see that it was a pebble that caused this pain.

Everyone heard the sound of something being tossed up and down and turned to see it was Sasuke tossing another pebble up and down in his hand looking at Kankuro "You're a long way from home and you're way out of your league."

"S-Sasuke!" Hinata said surprised to see him I wander when he got here? Did he see me in action?

Naruto had this gloomy atmosphere around as he saw Sasuke

Well Well a local hottie! The blonde girl thought blushing

"Oh great, another wimp to tick me off" Kankuro said looking up at Sasuke

"I would appreciate you staying the hell away from my teammate. You got what you deserve from her" Sasuke said giving him a intense glare as he crunched the pebble in his hand "Now get lost"

"Hey punk, get down here" Kankuro demanded but when Sasuke ignored his request, he became very annoyed and took the mummy off his back " You're the kind of pesky little snob I hate the most, all attitude and nothing to back it up"

The blonde girl's eyes widen as she saw him take out the mummy "What?! Are you going to use the crow for this?!"

"Kankuro, back off" a voice said

Sasuke eyes widen as he heard the voice and turn to see a red haired guy his age with teal colored eyes and black circles around them with a gourd strapped to his back and a kanji tattoo on his forehead hanging upside down on a branch on the other side of the same time tree he was in.

Everyone gasps and looks up at him. Kankuro looked up and started to sweat a little, giving the red haired boy a nervous smile while hiding his numb arm "Uh..hey Gaara"

How did he get there? He didn't make a sound, only jonin at Kakashi's level are that smooth Sasuke thought as he kept his eyes on Gaara

Hinata looked closely in order to get a better look at the newcomer He's from the same village as the other two but he's different, the way he silently appeared like that, you would think he's a jonin but he's the same age as us

"You're an embarrassment to our village, have you forgotten the reason we came all the way here?" Gaara said

"I-I know, I-I-I mean they challenged us, they started the whole thing really" Kankuro said

Hinata eyes went back to Kankuro What a liar! We were defending ourselves!

"You see here's what happened-"

"Shut up.." Gaara said

Kankuro face turned from nervous to frightened

"Or I'll kill you" Gaara said narrowing his eyes

He held his hands up in surrender "Uh..right..I was totally out of line...I'm sorry, Gaara, I was totally out of line"

Gaara turns to Sasuke "I'm sorry for any trouble he caused"

This guy has an evil look in his eye Sasuke thought looking at him

He stopped Kankuro with a pebble and made it look easy. This guy's someone to keep an eye on Gaara thought before he disappeared in a column of sand and reappeared in front of his team "Lets go, we didn't come here to play games"

"Alright, sure, I get it" Kankuro said nervously before he and the blonde girl followed him

Naruto saw them leaving and shouted "Hey! Hold on!"

The sand ninja stopped "What?" The blonde girl said

"We're not done yet, that guy still has to answer to me!" Naruto said pointing at Kankuro

Hinata looked at Naruto as if he was crazy "N-Naruto, why would you w-want to continue that?! L-Let's leave things as they are!"

"Oh come on! You and Sasuke got to take this guy down a few inches, now it's my turn!"

"I only d-did that because h-he was a-about to hurt Konohamaru"

"Just let it go, loser. Besides he's at a disadvantage with that arm of his now. You really want to fight at gives you a handicap?" Sasuke asked

Naruto struggled to think of something to say back but couldn't, realizing Sasuke was right, so he huffed and cross his arms "Fine, but he's lucky I'm not taking him down!"

Gaara attention was caught when he heard them about Kankuro's arm, he looked at it and the other arm and notice that the left arm was completely lifeless, no kind of movement was made with it.

Kankuro noticed him looking at his lifeless arm and chuckled nervously, hiding it "Uh..d-don't worry about it, G-Gaara, it's..it's not permanent"

"That's a good thing in your case, if you became dead weight, I would have to kill you" he said as he glanced at Hinata, To be able to get so close to him and do this kind of damage, she's another one to keep an eye on.

Hinata felt someone looking at her and turns to see it was Gaara glancing at he. The way he looks at me is sending shivers down my spine, she looked at his eyes but still I can't help but see that his eyes are empty, completely void of any emotion.

She looked at the sand ninja, thinking of why they were here Our villages are allies but they need permission or a good reason to be here, I wonder if.. "Before y-you leave, there's something I-I want to ask you"

"And what would that be?" Gaara asked

"You all a-are from the village hidden in the sand, our villages are a-allies but you still need reason to be here. Could it be t-that you are here f-for the upcoming chunin exams?"

"That's right, we're hidden sand genin and we're here to take the chunin exams" the blonde girl said holding up a slip of paper proving they had permission to be in the village.

"Chunin exams?" Naruto said confused "Well, I've never heard of any chunin exam, believe it."

The blonde girl fold her arms, smirking "I believe it alright, that you're the most clueless one here"

"Hey boss, those are the exams each genin take in order to graduate to being a full fledged chunin." Konohamaru explained

"Oh then why didn't you say so?! I am so there!" Naruto said excited

With a hmph from Gaara, the sand ninja made another attempt to leave before Sasuke jumped down from the tree, right next to Hinata "Hey you, identify yourself"

"Oh, you mean me?" The blonde girl asked tempting to flirt with him

"No, him, the guy with the gourd on his back" Sasuke said pointing to Gaara

Gaara turns to face Sasuke "I'm Gaara..of the Desert. I'm curious about you too, who are you?"

"I'm Sasuke Uchiha"

Gaara stared at him for a while before turning to Hinata "And what about you?"

Hinata look to see if he was talking to anyone besides her, but saw Naruto behind her and Sasuke besides her. She pointed her finger to herself asking if he was talking to her.

"Yes you, the girl with white sweater, who are you?"

"You don't need to answer his question" Sasuke said to her while keeping his eyes on Gaara

I don't like the way he's looking at her, what's he thinking?

Hinata didn't want there to be more trouble, so she placed a hand on Sasuke's arm and stepped forward "it's ok, S-Sasuke. It doesn't hurt to tell him" She looks to Gaara "My name is H-Hinata Hyuga"

Naruto came up from behind her, pointing to himself grinning "Hi there, I bet you're dying to know my name, right?!"

"I couldn't care less" with that said, he and the rest of his team took their leave

Hmm things are getting interesting Sasuke thought

Hinata saw that look in Sasuke's eyes and knew he was looking forward on what's to come although she knew most sensei wait one year until they recommend their students for the exams. Maybe it would be best not to tell him that, I wouldn't want to upset him with that information

"Hey Konohamaru, do I seem uncool or something?" Naruto asked with a gloomy look on his face

"Well compared to Sasuke, yeah you're pretty lame" Konohamaru answered

"Argh! You're not gonna show me up Sasuke!" Naruto stated

"Hmm back off loser" Sasuke said

Unknown to them, there were other ninja watching them since the beginning of the fight up in a tree in the distance, one of them spoke "So what do you think, Dosu?"

The one named Dosu said "Just a bunch of weaklings but the sand brat and the Uchiha kid, we should keep an eye on them"

Feeling that someone was watching them, Hinata looked up at the trees around the area but before she looked at the tree, the mystery ninja were in, they quickly disappeared

As they left, Dosu thought That girl may be a bit of a problem too, maybe we should keep an eye on her too

"Was it just my imagination?" Hinata asked herself

Sasuke placed a hand on her shoulder "Hey, you ok?"

Hinata turns to him, blushing "O-Oh I-I'm fine"

"So..do you want to go to the training area and..train with me?" Sasuke asked her

Hinata's face felt warmer, she knew she was blushing more "W-Well I'd l-loved to, b-but before all t-that problem h-happened, I-I said I would p-play with the k-kids"

"Oh.." Sasuke said causally but inside he was a little disappointed.

He knew how much Hinata liked kids and how she hated to disappoint people. He knew that she was over Naruto but he still worried that she might fall for him again.

"Big sis Hinata!" Konohamaru called

Big sis? Hinata thought looking at him. "Y-Yes?"

"You can go if you want, Naruto can stay and play with us!"

"What?! How come she gets to go train and I have to play?!" Naruto asked whining

"Because you promised!" The Konohamaru ninja squad voiced

"Are you sure?" Hinata asked wanting to make sure if she could really go

The kids start dragging Naruto away to play "Yeah, go on and have fun training" Moegi said

As soon as the kids and Naruto were out of sight, she turned to Sasuke, giving him a shy smile "I-I'm f-free now, s-shall we go?"

Sasuke smiles at her and nods "Yeah, let's go"

Walking together to the training ground, Sasuke spoke "You were great against that guy, how you manage to rescue that kid while rendering that guy's arm completely useless, you're really becoming stronger"

Hinata blushed as she heard him praise her So he did see me...and thinking I'm getting stronger! "Thank you, b-but I was hoping n-not hurt anyone"

"That bastard got what he deserves, don't think too much about it" Sasuke give hinata's shoulder a squeeze "You did what you had to and it worked out great"

"T-Thank you Sasuke, that's v-very sweet of you" Hinata said smiling at him

Sasuke smiled down at her then his expression from casual to interested "I'm thinking that this chunin exam will be very interesting, we'll have to get as much training in as possible"

Hinata still didn't want to disappoint him, so she just give a nervously smile and nod He's in for disappointment, Sensei has to recommend us to the Hokage before we can enter but that won't happen, we just became genin not too long, we still need more experience before we take this exam.

Little did she know, Hinata would soon figure out that she was wrong as the meeting Kakashi was summon to was concerning the chunin exams. As the Hokage asking about recommendations for the exams, Kakashi stepped up "I, Kakashi Hatake, recommend my students Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga for the chunin selection exams!"
