It was a game they played, her brother and his Rosalie.
His Rosalie. Her Emmett. It was so obvious. They were each other's, and theirs alone.
Even when they blocked out their eyes, hiding away, when all the rest of the world was gone, they still saw each other.
Bella wanted that. She wanted what her brother had. That love, that strength in their trust.
Some day. Some day she'd have that.
Not yet, though. For now, the Mikes and the Jakes were fine.
But not forever. She wanted forever.
She smiled, turning away from the shining couple beside her.
