The Wrong Bus
A/N: So I still do not have a BETA for this story but I do have a few co writers, my friend Kaitlynn who sometimes helps me with battle scenes though I have yet to ask her to do one for this story and then my friend who owns the unknown guy who also helps me do the scenery and does Unknown's point of view.
Chapter 10: Lend Me a Hand?
Unknown
This man was a lunatic, that much was obvious, but what was his motive to do this? Slicing a random boy up into pieces, this talk of games, it all seemed like a psychopath or one hell of a prank.
I shook my head. No, this was not a prank. I can't let myself believe such an oblivious and stupid notion.
My skin tingled as the lights went out again and the screaming started, goddamn it.
I moved quickly to Yasmin and put a hand on her shoulder.
My voice was hushed a light.
"Just follow my lead and we might get out of here."
Then my voice was louder. "Grab the hand of two people next to you, NOW" His hand grasped Yasmin's hand.
The mutterings and anxiety of the humans continued but they complied, making a chain of people.
"I'll do my best to keep you all safe as long as you stay in the chain."
I could see them all. Perfectly in this pitch black, but that didn't mean that I could see through all these doors. Anything could pop out of them…
At any moment.
My eyes squinted at the thought. I didn't want to be responsible for the death of a person, even if they are human.
My hand pulled at Yasmin's hand, signaling her to follow. They were at the front of the chain.
"Fitting for the leader and the guide." A soft chuckle escaped his mouth.
The hall was long, as you could tell just by looking at it, but by walking, the end never came into sight. Where was the damn end?
My heart started to beat faster. Something was off. The scent of blood was suddenly strong.
My head spun around and my eyes widened.
"shit…" My hand slid slowly out of Yasmin's hand and whispered to her. "stay still, we have a problem."
Moving to the back of the line, my eyes looked at the boy at the very end. There had been a girl at the back.
Only her arm, from the elbow down, was still in the grasp of the boy. "Don't panic." I tried to say calmly as I took the arm from the boy who didn't realize what had happened.
He replied. "What's wrong?"
His reply was slow. "Nothing. Just rearranging the line a little." I didn't have the heart to tell him. If he was going to hear it, it should be outside.
Yasmin
When the lights went out I was filled with fear once again.
Though something I didn't except happened, my hero returned.
"Just follow my lead and we might get out of here."
I had no idea who he was or why he was helping, he obviously could see in the dark so he could have saved himself.
He gave out orders and grasped my hand making me feel safe, much like Jasper did when we would ride the elevator together.
The mystery guy led us down the hall which seemed never ending.
It was nice that I didn't have to do this leader thing alone, I mean I could see in the dark but I had gone back into my human form. I wasn't supposed to be able to use my powers yet, being angered was just a loophole but that also meant I was a hormonal mess which didn't help the situation.
I held onto Jasper's and my hero's hand tightly as I let him lead us further and further until blood reached my nose.
No...please no.
"stay still, we have a problem." he whispered to me making me whimper in response as he released my hand and walked away.
I failed again.
What kind of leader am I?
