Oh my goodness, it has been a while since I gave you a chapter. I'm sorry, but I finished this chapter a long time ago, but I started having computer problems; got it fixed, by the way. Now I am going through a terrible break up and suffering great depression. Anyway, enough about me, here's your long waited chapter. Please, enjoy it. Now I do apologize for how short this chapter is, sadly they will all probably stay this sort for now on.

Chapter 10
I was running as fast as my legs would go. Where to? I don't know, mainly until I find Number 237. I won't give up, not just yet. I'm so close, yet so far. Many things were running through my mind, but the one thing that I paid attention to was finding Number 237. He has the only person that had the answers I have been searching for. I was so antsy and anticipated to see him. The next thing I knew what happened was arms engulfed me, causing me to be lifted above the ground. "I would like to know why you ran off?" I looked at the ground, closing my eyes in frustration.

"Please let me go, I don't want to ask again." I muttered. Sebastian put an arm under my legs, carrying me up bridal style. "I'm afraid I cannot do that. You see, we are already behind schedule." He said as he turned around and made his way back to the townhouse. 'No.' I whispered in my head as I was being carried away. 'No.' I whispered again. This wasn't how it was suppose to be. Oh, how I wish I could just escape this demons arms and find Number 237. I made it so far. For what? Is this what I will get at the end, nothing? I truly am pathetic. During that moment, something changed inside me, like something inside me snapped. No, something said in the back of my mind, you are not to give up, Aerith, do you hear me?

I felt weird and not only that, different, too. It was two things. My mind and body. 'What's happening?' Suddenly, we quit moving. I glanced up at Sebastian. He was looking around the woods. His eyes darting to the trees and the openings between them. When I opened my mouth to ask what's wrong, Sebastian beat me to it. "Someone's followed us." My head started to hurt badly. I groaned. 'What Is this?' I asked myself before I squeezed my eyes shut. "Put me down now." I muttered as my head started to spin. "Aerith, I believe you know what is about to happen, correct?" Called out a voice through the woods. By now I recognized that voice anywhere, it was no other than Number 237. My head was pounding so badly, I couldn't withstand the pain, it was too much for me to handle. I let a scream pass my lips. "Isabella?" I opened my eyes and glared at the demon that was holding me. For some reason rage was going through my head and body, and not only that, but hatred, also. The demons eyes widen at what he saw, and then it quickly turned to his trademark grin. "Well, well, this is new." He said as he continued grinning at me. I growled at him. "Release me at once!" I said through gritted teeth.

"I believe you should listen to her." Said Number 237 as he walked up to us, his arms folded across his chest, a smirk on his face. "And who are you?" The demon butler asked ever so politely. A little to politely if you ask me. The man merely waved his hand and shook his head, smirk still intact. "You don't need to know. I believe someone was looking for me, correct?" He explain as he folded his arms again as he took a glance at me. That must be my cue. This was my chance. I won't blow it. I looked up at Sebastian. The only way for me to get the answers I wanted from Number 237 is to get away from Sebastian, even if it means harming him. I maneuvered my arms out of the demon butler's grip and reached out for him. My hands found his cheeks. "Sebastian," I started off, gaining his attention. "Forgive me." I finished and with that said I pushed my hand through his cheeks until I heard a loud crack. He let me go, causing me to land on my feet. I glanced at Sebastian and grabbed his arm and ripped it off his body and threw it as far as I could. I stood up and walked over to Number 237. "I am the one who needs to talk to you." I deadpanned. His smirk then turned into a grin. "Very well, follow me." And with that said he turned around and disappeared in the woods, me following right behind him. Lets just say I was a very lucky person that I didn't have to deal with Sebastian at the moment. I took on glance back to see if Sebastian was all right. He was gone.

"Your highness, I'm afraid I couldn't do your request of getting Ceil Phantomhive and that woman." The spider demon explained as he narrowed his eyes. "Claude, I gave you a simple task and you failed to complete it. Punishment shall be involved now." The spider demon nodded his head in understandment. "Yes, Your Highness." The young blonde smirked. "I'm very disappointed in you, Claude. And here I thought you could do such a simple task. I believe this is your first time failing one of my orders." He explained as he made his way to his demon butler. "Such a simple task, which you managed to fail. Tell me, why is that?" He continued. The spider demon narrowed his eyes dangerously, but gained his composer, nonetheless. "I was merely distracted, Your Highness."

The blonde shook his head and frowned at the butler in front of him. "Distracted?" He asked. "Yes, Your Highness." Claude replied as he stood up. "Come, Claude." The blonde said to his butler as he turned on his heel and walked away, his butler hot on his heels. "I believe you know what is about to happen." The blonde continued. The demon butler narrowed his eyes again. Next time, he will have that girl and that brat. Yes, he will get them and he will enjoy the feast from both of them. They truly had unique souls and he would be the one to take it away from them.

For what felt like hours, me and Number 237 finally came to a stop. We made it into a meadow field, which was covered with flowers and such. It was a beautiful sight, actually. "Now, what is it you would like to know, Aerith?" The man asked as he stopped in the middle of the field, not even facing me. I cleared my throat. "I want to know how you know about them. My flashbacks, I mean." I asked, eager to find the answer. I was so anxious. He knew the answers for my questions this whole entire time. The man chuckled. "Do you really want to know?" I frowned. He is stalling. "Of course I do, otherwise I wouldn't be asking!" I exclaimed. The man continued. "Well, you see, I know about your flashbacks because one, you have a confused look on your face and two, I could hear you mumbling to yourself about these flashbacks, which by the way, is quite amusing." He said with another chuckle at the end of his explanation. My frown deepened. Does he seriously think that any of this was funny?!

Number 237 turned around so he could be face-to-face with me, a smirk was on his face. I clenched my fist and unclenched them. I was slowly losing my patience with this man. "Is that all you want to ask me, Aerith?" He asked. I shook my head. His smirk turned into a grin. "Why am I having these flashbacks? And furthermore, why am I here? In this time, I mean." Number 237 slowly made his way to me. "The answer for your first question is quiet simple, actually. I'm surprised you haven't even thought of it. You see, as you got older, before your escape, you were given medication. You see, the medication that was given to you was another experiment. You gained another personality, but seeing as you can remember the name Aerith, the medicine didn't work fully. Now that you met me it must have triggered something in your head to make you remember your past. And for your second question, well, I believe you know that by now." He said with a grin. I ignored his last statement. "But I don't even know you! I mean, I just met you, it's not possible for me to just gain back my memories." I exclaimed. The man just continued grinning at me. "I believe that is all I can tell you for now. I must take my leave now, you have company."

I was a little confused at what he just told me. There was nobody around except for him, and me. He must have made a lame excuse so he can leave. Truly pathetic. A knife was thrown towards Number 237, he dodged it and ran into the woods. "Are you done with your little games, Isabella? You have wasted quiet some time. We must hurry, Young Master will be unpleased about your tardiness." Spoke the crow demon. I turned around and eyed the demon in front of me. "What does he want to talk about anyway?" I question as I folded my arms across my chest. The butler gave his trade-mark grin at me and turned around. "I believe you will have to wait and see, now do you? We must hurry." And with that said I followed him, no, not because he wanted me to, because I wanted to see what the boy wanted from me. 'Only just a little while longer.' I kept saying in my head. I looked up at the sky above our heads and the trees. 'Until I make amends with these people here. If I'm given one last chance, I'll take it without hesitation. I won't mess up, I swear it.'

Number 237 was walking through the woods with his hands in his pockets, whistling an old tone he heard a while back. "Took you long enough." A voice spoke up as he came to a stop and smirked. "Oh, yes. She is a very curious being, is she not?" Number 237 asked as he stared the newcomer down. "Number 237, we do not have time for your foolish games. You and I are only here for one thing, and once it is fulfilled, Aerith shall be back under my control." The man spoke up once again. A chuckle came from Number 237 as he shook his head. "Now that, my friend, is where you are wrong. Even I know how stubborn that girl is."

The other man chuckled as well. "Oh, I know that much. She is very stubborn. But we do not have time to play around; we have so much to do with such little time. Now, I must be off. I merely came here to see what was taking you so long and how far you came along. Obliviously, not far." Number 237 sighed. "Awe, cut me some slack. It's not like I enjoy doing this! I could be doing something completely different right now." He stated bluntly. The man shook his head. "Like what? Killing innocent people? Remember, I am the reason you are here. Who knows what you could be in by now? Once this is all over and done with I have no need for you, Number 237 or shall I say Matisyn?" With that out in the open a wind started to pick up causing Number 237's hair to blow to the side, showing his black shades. "I understand, but could you refrain from using that name?" He said with a look of indifference on his face causing the man before him to grin wickedly. "I'm afraid not, Matisyn. I am your boss, therefore, I can call you what I please. Now, I believe we wasted enough time chatting, but this is my cue to depart. Farewell, Matisyn. Until we meet again."

How did you like it? The next update for Chapter 11 will not be for a while, I am going to go through my chapters and reedit them. I have become quiet impatient waiting for my beta reader. But please, leave a comment, favorite, or follow this story. To be honest, those things keep me motivated to continue this story. I was so tempted to stop writing this story because of my break up, but that is foolish, you guys don't deserve that! So until next time.
