Hello there! Long time to see, I know... I'm terrible. But I hope this was at least worth the wait, some of you are going to outright HATE IT! Please honestly, tell me! I enjoy the constructive criticism! Really I do! Whether you love it or you hate, let me know, because I can either finish this story off with a nice bow maybe a chapter or 2 from now, but I'll continue if there is a high enough demand for me too! Much love and appreciation! JUST REMEMBER TO REVIEW!

Eli sat on the porch steps of his house and watched his father's car pull into the driveway; behind the slightly tinted glass he watched Bullfrog freeze as he studied his only son sitting outside looking small and defeated as he stubbornly wiped tears from his ghost white cheeks. He took several long seconds before exiting the car trying not to think the worst: he had fallen back into his old ways, he was high, Talia had pulled him back in… So many different scenarios flooded his mind as he silently sat down on the wood, groaning as his bones protested.

Bullfrog didn't say anything he was waiting for Eli to open up, they had talked about this in family therapy when Eli was first diagnosed with bipolar, they would sit here all night if they had too. 10 minutes past before Bullfrog looked at his son again, and what he saw made his heart skin – his strong, independent, ballsy son was crying, Eli was trying not to cry out loud, but the silent tears always seemed to be worse. Bullfrog wrapped his large arm around his strangely small son and pulled him into his chest where Eli broke. Bullfrog had never heard a more heart wrenching sound that his son breaking down in his arms; he watched various cars go past as he rubbed Eli's back and quietly shushed him in a way he hadn't done since Eli was small.

As it was getting dark outside, he watched a taxi pull up outside their house, and 30 seconds later Cece was standing in front of them with a worried expression. She held a silent conversation with her husband, who confirmed that he had no idea why their son was so inconsolable. Cece simply abandoned her shopping and sat down beside the duo wrapped her arm around Eli's waist, rested her head on his shoulder and hummed a soft song.

"She hates me." A small voice chocked out, "She never wants to see me again." This brought on fresh tears, Cece and Bullfrog felt helpless as they clung to their child as he doubled over letting out fresh heart wrenching sobs.

During his time as principal, Archie Simpson had seen a fair bit of Degrassi drama, coupling that with his time as the Media Immersion teacher and his own history with Degrassi, he felt like he needed an early retirement. Chuckling to himself as he dismissed this idea, he loved this school and its pupils too much to leave before then, and he had a feeling that he would have to be dragged from the building kicking and screaming. Spike never understood why he cherished this school so much, because despite all the good memories he had here, there was also a fair few horrible ones, but he tried not to dwell on those too much. He'd watched so many children pass through her, his own daughter and her friends for one, although Emma isn't his biological daughter when he married her mum she was his daughter in all but blood, he was excited and terrified at the same time for when it came to be Jack's turn to roam the halls of Degrassi.

Like most teachers, Snake liked to observe his students relationships from a far, he never expected his little Emma to end up marrying Spinner Mason, who had been so in love with Jane Vaughan it was almost dizzying. Manny and Jay was also another surprising couple, they balanced each other out well enough, but it still seemed surreal. There were a few other surprising couples over the years, but none quite as strange but well matched as Eli Goldsworthy and Clare Edwards. He remembered the first day he met Clare in her private school uniform looking so out of place in a room full of baggy jeans and tank tops, from the outset he could see some sparks forming with KC Guthrie, but when KC got Jenna Middleton pregnant, those sparks disappeared. Then Eli came crashing into her life with his black nails and eye liner, loud music and hearse no one in the teachers' lounge thought it would happen, but when it did, no one thought it would last.

Archie was proud of all the progress that Eli had made since he left Degrassi with Clare, normally that kinda of thing would never happen, but this was highly delicate and unusually circumstances and he knew that Eli was meant for more than failing out of community school and OD'ing on drugs. He was also very proud of Clare for taking Eli in when the last few months of their relationship wasn't the easiest. Sighing, Archie Simpson turned back to the mountain of paper work that seemed to never stop growing despite the millions and millions of forms he seemed to sign every day.

Meanwhile 493 miles away, a short, curly girl was sitting on the edge of her bathtub with her phone in one hand with a timer counting down…5…4…3…2…1. A small ding went off, the girl out a soft sob as she slide down the bath to curl up on the floor, a stick laying forgetting beside with an ironic happy face smiling back at her. Clare Edwards felt sick, she wasn't sure if it was morning sickness, or the fact that she was completely petrified. It took all her energy to move back to her bed, where she collapsed on the unmade sheet and slept for 4 hours.

Once Eli's parents had managed to manoeuvre him from the front porch to his bed, the trio sat in silence as Eli's breathing finally calmed and evened out, allowing him to slowly drift off into a somewhat uneasy sleep.

Cece and Bullfrog made their way quietly to their own bedroom where Cece herself broke down in tears, something was wrong with her baby boy and she couldn't help him because he was too emotionally distraught to even speak; she felt the bed dip next to her as familiar arms engulfed her, she cried quietly before looking up at her husband who's own eyes were red rimmed. Without saying anything else, they both quietly went about their nightly routines before slipping into bed and wrapping their arms around one another before praying silently that their baby would be ok.

Waking up stiff, starving and depressed was bad, but it was even worse at 7am on a Saturday because of a vibrating pillow. Eli let out a growl, Adam better be in some serious trouble if he was waking him up this early. It took a minute for the name on the screen to register in Eli's brain but once his mind had caught up, his heart leapt, "Clare." Eli exclaimed quietly, he really didn't want to wake his parents; they deserved a lie in, especially after last night. There was a long pause on the other end, and Eli's excitement dropped slightly, maybe she hadn't meant to phone him, maybe her hand hit her phone in her sleep. He was about to hang up when he heard a soft sob followed by "Eli, I need you to come ho-back to New York, soon." His eyebrows furrowing, "Clare, are you crying? What's wrong?" He heard her let out a chocked sigh, there was even more silence, it was the silence that was worrying him the most, Clare didn't do silences. He listened to the love of his life sob quietly for a few seconds before she took a shaky breath, "Eli…I think…I think I might be pregnant." In those few seconds, Eli's heart stopped and the world stopped spinning. "I'm on the next flight." He said without hesitation, he went to hang up before pausing, "Everything's going too alright Clare, go back to sleep, I'll umm...let myself, and Clare, I love you."

"I know Eli." The line went dead and Eli was left to sit in the semi-darkness with only the pounding sound of his heart for company. He had to leave before his parents got up, he couldn't explain everything right now - especially when they weren't 100% sure if she really … if they were about to become... As if on autopilot, Eli packed a bag whilst using the majority of his savings to book a last minute flight out of Canada, scribbling a vague note to his parents and taping it in front of their bedroom door; he left his childhood home as quickly and as quietly as he possibly could.

Yeah... I know I said I was loosing my inspiration for this story, but I don't know where this came from. I don't really have an explaination for it, except...DRAMA!

Hope you enjoyed it and please remember to REVIEW!
