Chapter Ten:
It's morning as the sun rises about the horizon. Samara has been in a coma for almost a whole week. She had some swelling to the brain and her injuries were very brutal. The doctors concluded that she only has a fifty percent chance of waking up. George and the others, including Angela are by her side. He didn't want Angela to come because she's supposed to be resting. The doctors told her that she had brain aneurysm. Angela was in the hospital for three days. She's still rocked from it. That's the power of Dorian's ability. George made sure to get her a wheel chair and gave her the pain medicine that the doctors prescribe her. Despite being stubborn, Angela just wants to be with Samara.
Kimmy and her mother are holding Samara's hands on either side. Samara has her turtle dove in the hand that Kimmy is holding. It represents their friendship and sisterhood. Kimmy hopes her big sister will pull through. Her, Peyton, Carla, Angela, and Kelly are in tears. Everything has gone hell. It's just strange that Angela and Samara were hurt, and Ian went missing on the same night. It makes no sense.
"What happened?" Peyton asks.
"She was beaten by these men. They were killed that night. Cops don't know anything." Kimmy tells them. They can't believe what's going on. Angela and Samara both get hurt and are now in the hospital. Ian is still missing. "Did you guys hear about Ian?" The others nod. "What's happening? None of this makes sense. My mother and sister are in the hospital. Ian's truck was found on the side of the road on fire. Now, he's missing. Why is all of this happening? Why is everything going to hell?"
"I don't get it either. All we can do is pray." Kelly says.
"Do you think Ian was kidnapped? I think he would at least call his uncle." Randy says.
"His uncle said that he didn't. He's still out there somewhere. Let's just hope the police finds him and brings him to safety." Peyton says as her boyfriend rubs her back to comfort her. George does the same to Angela, who is just broken. She's trying to hold in her tears, but can't.
That's when they all hear someone coming inside. Everyone turns around to see Alexander. He's standing there with sadness in his eyes. He hasn't seen her all week. Alexander was supposed to be saying goodbye to her. She wasn't supposed to get hurt. Luckily, Dragan called off his dogs. Alex has been so stupid lately. Why is everything going to hell? Why does innocent always have to get hurt? Seeing Samara hooked up to all those machines makes it even worse for him.
"Who are you?" George asks.
"He's Samara's boyfriend." Carla answers before Alexander can speak.
"My name is Alex." He offers a handshake and George takes it.
"I'm George. Samara's dad." Nor did George or Kimmy knew Samara was dating.
"I thought Samara wasn't dating." Angela is confused.
"You knew?" George asks her.
"Samara said they canceled, so I thought she wasn't." Angela says.
"I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner. I had some trouble with my family." Alexander says. He turns to Samara and Kimberly's mother. "I'm sorry for what happened."
"It's okay. It's not your fault" Angela says. Actually, it is.
Alexander goes over to Samara's lifeless body. Kimmy moves out of the way, so he can spend some time with her. He takes Samara's hand in one and caresses her face with the other. Alexander just wanted to take his time and build a relationship. He never wanted things to take a sudden turn for the worse. Alex pulls back to look at his pendant. The power that relies in the pendant should help heal her. He takes it off and places it on top of the turtle dove in Samara's hand. Alex gives her a kiss on the forehead. He hopes the pendant's power will heal her.
Cameron comes inside to see Alexander hovering over Samara. The others turn to see Cameron as well. Cameron stares at Alexander with hooded eyes. They've never met. Alexander leaves the room while he comes inside. Cameron goes over to see the pendant in Samara's hand.
"Who was that?" He asks everyone.
"That was Samara's boyfriend. His name's Alex." Kimmy tell him. This is not the right time to rub the moment in his face. "It's not important. Did you hear anything about Ian yet?"
"I heard he was in an accident and now, he's missing." Cameron says.
"Alex?" Samara says with an extremely weakened voice. The others go up to her.
"Samara?" Angela cannot believe her ears. Samara can barely open her eyes. The pendant is working.
"Go get the nurse." Peyton says and Randy leaves to find one.
Samara can barely remember a thing. She remembers that she was ambushed and beaten to near death. Then she heard screams and the horrible sound of those guys getting killed. "Mon-monster." The others can't hear what she just said. "Monster. Monster." They all look to one another because they don't know what she's talking about except for Alexander.
"Honey, what are you trying to say?" George asks.
"Monster, monster, monster." Samara repeats as she grips the pendant and the turtle dove.

Carlisle's Office
The Cullens Compound
Ian is writhing on the examination table. He's in a great deal of pain, but cannot scream or cry anymore. He will be like this for two more days before he transitions into a newborn vampire. The Cullens and the pack have been searching for Dragan and the others. Sasha is the only one who came back and now, she's being watched in the living room.
Outside of the house, Alexander is walking towards the door. Ian's cries are disturbing. "Alex?" Sasha is standing right behind him. Alex is angry to hear her voice. Sasha's scared because she doesn't want to see him angry. He has every right to be because she kept the secret about Dragan taking his family away from him. Carissa and Kathryn are angry as well.
"Shouldn't you be with Dragan?" Alex asks, scowling at her.
"I am so sorry for what I have done. I should have never let Dragan destroy your family." Sasha says.
"But you did anyway. He took away my family. He turned my sisters and I into vampires for his own gain. And you just ran with it. I resent you and I never want to see your face ever again." Alex finalizes.
"Alexander please. I love you." Sasha pleads with him.
"No you don't. Otherwise, you wouldn't have kept this secret from my sisters and I." Alex keeps himself together. He's saddened. "You could've stopped him. My sisters, Natāliè, and I would still be human. Your psychotic husband turned us into this. You and him have been lying to us from the start! If you really do love us then you would've told us the truth from the beginning!" He yells.
"I do love you." Sasha confesses. Esme comes out on the balcony to hear their conversation.
"Just leave." Alex says.
"I love you with all my heart. You are my children. I would do anything for you. You mean the world to me. Please, forgive me." Alexander storms up to her.
"Alexander!" Esme jumps down the balcony and stops him from doing any harm to Sasha.
"My mother died a long time ago. Dragan ripped her throat out! He killed unborn sibling, who was resting in my mother's womb. You mean nothing to me understand. Nothing! I am going to kill Dragan when I see him. And if I ever see you again, I will end your life." Alex's chest rumbles with a growl.
"Alex I love you. Please." Sasha drops to her knees to bed. "Forgive me."
"Rot in hell." Alex turns around to walk inside the house and go to Ian's aid. Sasha cries out. Esme is there to hold her through it. She feels sorry for her.
"He hates me. Oh God, he hates me." Sasha sobs.
