Chapter Ten: My Girl
Haruhi and Kitaru were coming back from an errand. The club ran out of coffee so they were forced to buy more. "I feel like a slave sometimes." Haruhi complained, letting out a sigh.
"Look at the bright side, you have some company." Kitaru said, carrying a bag full of instant coffee. "I think it is a good thing because I can finally get a breather from the club. The ladies are getting feisty as ever."
"I have never thought of it like that." Haruhi said. "You are very optimistic Kitaru."
"I am just saying that it is good to have some time with you." Kitaru teased. "You were always with Tamaki and I don't get to hang out with you so often."
"Speak for yourself. You have Mori-sempai now and he is taking too much of your time. You guys have been dating for four weeks now and he is your top priority." Haruhi said. They started to giggle. "I guess going shopping with you is not so bad after all." It feels like old times…when we were little girls. It feels godsend. "Hey Kitaru, you do know that Mori-sempai is a third year student and you are a first year."
"Yes, I know that."
"Aren't you worried what will happen after Mori-sempai graduates?" Haruhi asked.
"Well, Mori wants to major in Theory and Philosophy of Law." Kitaru said. "And I want to major in Music and Fine Arts. I don't know what is going to happen between us but I know that we would try our best to be together. That is what a loving couple does in a time like this. You can't deal with it by yourself. You have to share your feelings with your partner." She then turned to her and smile. "You must be worry about you and Tamaki."
"No, I am just…" Haruhi said.
"You should talk to Tamaki about this." Kitaru said. "I know he loves you very much and I think he is good for you." She then grabbed her hand. "Come on Haruhi, we are two pretty girls with two cute boyfriends. Let's not worry too much of the future and focus what we have going here."
"I guess you are right." Haruhi said. They opened the door and found the boys giving evil glances to another group of boys. However, these boys were wearing red uniforms. "What is going on here?"
"Haruhi… Kitaru… You two are back…" Tamaki said.
"Who are these guys?" Kitaru asked.
"Allow me to introduce ourselves… We are the St. Louis Host Club. We heard a lot of stories about Ouran Academy famous Host Club so we decided to visit." A teenage boy said, walking towards the girls. He had curly blonde hair and green emerald eyes. "My name is Cassiel, the Club King and also the princely type." He gave Haruhi a rose. "I have to say, you are quite beautiful."
"Thanks I guess." Haruhi said, shaking. This guy reminds me of Tamaki when I first met him.
"We also have other types if you are interested." A boy with spiky red hair with glasses said. "My name is Daniel, I am the cool type."
"I am the boy Lottie type." A short boy said. He had short brown hair and hugging a stuffed bear. "My name is Michael and this here is Gigi-chan." There was a tall boy next to him with long wavy black hair. "And this is Noah, he is the silent type and my big brother."
"We are the little devil types." The twins said. They had also black hair and with a mischievous grin on their faces. "Our names are Aaron and Asher."
"And we are the St. Louis Host Club…" They all said.
"I see so you are here to be our guests." Haruhi asked. They stare at each other for a brief moment and started laughing. "What's so funny?"
"We are not here to be your guests and speaking of guests, aren't you one?" Cassiel asked. Is it me or this guy reminds me of a girl. He is so beautiful.
"No, I am a host. My name is Haruhi Fujioka and I am the natural type." Haruhi said, letting out a smile. "If you are all not here to be our guests at least we can be friends." Cassiel blushed as she smiled and grabbed her hand.
"You are too cute… You must be mine." Cassiel said. "I can't take my eyes off of you. You are pure beauty. Our love would be known throughout the world." Tamaki pulled her away from him.
"I am sorry but you may not take Haruhi from me or my family." Tamaki snapped. This guy is getting on my nerves. I don't like him at all.
"Family?" Cassiel said. "How interesting…" He then turned to Kitaru. I have never seen anyone with pure white hair before. "And you must be a host as well. You are quite lovely as well."
"Yes, my name is Kitaru Fujioka. I am Haruhi's cousin and also the angel type." Kitaru said, smiling. "It is a pleasure to meet you and your friends. I hope you care for some coffee and sweets."
"That sounds great." Michael cheered. "I love sweets." Noah on the other hand, blushed in sight of her.
This guy… He makes me feel weird. Noah thought, staring at Kitaru more. He is very cute. Mori spotted Noah blushingly glancing at Kitaru. He walked up to her and grabbed her hand.
"Kitaru, do you need help?" Mori asked. I do not like this Host Club. I don't like them eyeing my lover.
"Thank you so much Mori." Kitaru said.
Mori and Noah glare at each other. This means war.
"So state your reasons of being here." Kyoya asked, pushing his eyes up. "I know that you are not here for some cake and coffee."
"We are actually here because our King has something for your Host Club." Daniel said.
"So what is it?" Honey asked.
"We are here to issue your host club a challenge." Cassiel said, smiling. "There would be a cultural festival soon and our club would be representing St Louis Academy." He then pointed to them. "We would have a hosting competition. The one with the most guests will win." I don't have an angel or a natural type in my group… I wonder… "And if our club wins, your natural type and angel type will be mines."
"I would not put Haruhi and Kitaru into this. They are not something I can throw away and not care about. They are people and they are my family. I would not let you take them from me." Tamaki snapped. "So no deal…They are not a bargaining chips and that's final."
"Tamaki-sempai…" Haruhi said, blushing. He really does care for me.
"Then how about this, if we win your Host Club should shut down forever?" Cassiel asked.
"Forever…" Honey said.
"The Host Club can't shut down." Hikaru said.
"It is our second home." Kaoru added.
"Are you scared that you guys will lose?" Asher teased.
"What a bunch of weaklings…" Aaron added.
"BRING IT ON!" The twins screamed.
"What happens if we win?" Tamaki asked.
"What do you want?" Cassiel asked. "After all, you have everything."
"If we win, your host club leaves us alone." Tamaki snapped. "And there would be no nonsense of you taking away Haruhi and Kitaru." He then offers his hand to him. "Do we have a deal?"
"It's a deal…" Cassiel said, shaking his hand firmly. "I would be looking forward to our duel." I will destroy you and take everything that it's yours.
"Likewise…" Tamaki said. You are not going to win. Kitaru and Mori walked towards them with trays of coffee.
"The coffee is ready. I hope you all want some refreshments." Kitaru said.
"I am sorry for the trouble but we must be leaving." Cassiel said. "Farewell Ouran Host Club…" Kitaru walked up to Michael and gave him a brown paper bag.
"I put some cookies in there if you are hungry." Kitaru said, smiling.
"Thank you so much. You are very nice." Michael said, smiling back at her. Then Noah came up to her and bowed. "Noah…"
"There is no need to thank me." Kitaru said, staring at Noah. "Is there something wrong? If you want cookies I can pack you some if you like?" He then grabbed her hand and kissed it lightly. "Ahhh…" She let out a blush. What is going on here?
"Can we go on a date?" Noah asked. Everyone was shocked with his question.
"I can't believe Noah talked." Cassiel said. "I wonder what his answer is. If it is a yes, he is welcome to our club."
"Kita-chan, is not leaving us?" Honey said. I know that Big Sister won't leave us.
"I feel allured by you. I don't know why but I feel that I want to know you more." Noah asked. "So what is your answer?" Mori was furious and Honey and the twins were holding him down.
I can't believe he asked her out on a date. Mori thought, gritting his teeth.
"I am flattered but I have to decline." Kitaru replied, smiling at him.
"WHAT!" The St. Louis Host Club screamed.
"Why? Noah is our silent handsome beast." Cassiel snapped. "How can you say no to him?"
"Noah is handsome I give him that but it isn't enough to win my heart." Kitaru replied. "Also, someone already have my heart." Noah's eyes widened as he heard that. He then turned to Mori.
He must be the man that took his heart. Takashi Morinozuka… You are my enemy. Noah thought.
"I am very sorry but I love someone else very much." Kitaru added. "I don't want to let that go."
"Kita…" Mori whispered, blushing.
"It is fine but I am not going to give up." Noah said.
"I am still going to give you the same answer." Kitaru said.
"Well, I am looking forward to this friendly competition." Cassiel said. "Also, to make it fair, the natural and angel type shouldn't compete. We should keep an even amount of hosts."
"The Ouran Host Club is all about fairness." Tamaki said, smiling. They walked out the room. We are not going to lose to the likes of them. I can't allow this. "This new host club is going to be a problem. Kyoya, I want info on every member in the St. Louis Host Club."
"Of course, they are very interesting." Kyoya said.
"I don't like them at all." Hikaru said.
"Same here, they are so egotistical." Kaoru added.
"Speak for yourselves…" Haruhi said. Honey then hugged Kitaru tightly.
"Honey, is there something wrong?" She asked.
"I am happy that you are still here." Honey cried. "I didn't want to lose you. That Michael kid looks cute as well. I thought you are going to leave me and be his big sister."
"Honey, I would never leave any of you." Kitaru said. "Even my little brother… You would always be my little brother."
"But what would we be doing during the cultural festival?" Haruhi asked. "We are not in this contest?"
"We can dress has girls and enjoy the festival." Kitaru answered. "We can have girl time."
"I totally agree with Kitaru. You should totally where a cute dress and enjoy yourself my Haruhi." Tamaki said with awe.
"It seems reasonable since they are not allowed to participate in this competition." Kyoya added. "Kitaru, would it be alright if you can make some treats for the festival?"
"Sure, I would be happy too." Kitaru said. "For some strange reason, my mother went crazy on buying baking ingredients. I am sure she knew about this."
"I WANT TO HELP!" Honey cheered.
"I would help too Kita…" Mori said, smiling at her. He then kissed her on the forehead. "Thank you for not leaving me."
"Oh Mori, you shouldn't worry. I would never leave you." Kitaru said. Then the ladies started to enter the room. "Well, it is time to host. I have to go and prepare. Are you still walking me home today after school?"
"I have Kendo practice. You don't mind coming over to my house after school." Mori said. "I can drop you off after and I would call your mom to let her know."
"That sounds great." Kitaru said, smiling. "I can't wait." She walked towards the ladies and they all blushed and sigh with awe. "Good Morning Ladies, It is a blessing to see your lovely faces today."
"Hey Mori-sempai, do you really love my cousin?" Haruhi asked, standing beside him. He turned to her and let out a smile.
"Yes, I really do." Mori said.
"Then love her but please don't break her heart." Haruhi said. "After what Aunt Ashley told us about her almost dying, I want her to live a good life."
"I won't hurt her." Mori replied.
"Then what are you going to do when you graduate?" She asked. "Would you leave her?"Mori froze with his question. He never thought of it until now. "I am sorry Mori-sempai. I am just worried about her that's all."
"Haruhi, someone request for you." Hikaru said.
"Hurry up…" Kaoru added.
"I am coming." Haruhi said, walking towards them. I shouldn't worry about those two. They are too lovely dovey…
I have to leave her when I graduate but it wouldn't change the fact that I love her. Would she wait for me? Mori thought, staring at Kitaru. She was smiling to her guests and playing the guitar. We have been apart for ten years; can I even bear leaving her? She then turned to him and smiled sweetly at him. I know that she would want me to achieve my dreams. I know that she would be there for me. I know that she would still love me.
"Hey Takashi, hurry up." Honey called. Mori started walking towards him.
I know that we would still be together because I love her so damn much.
In the afternoon, Ashley was sitting in her apartment reading the newspaper. "Let's see what interesting stories you have for me." She said, sipping her cocoa. "Damn, the only thing that's good here is the damn comic section." Then her cell phone started to ring. She answered it. "Hello…"
"Hello Ms. Ashley, how are you?" Mori asked.
"I am fine. Is there something wrong Takashi?" Ashley asked. "Is my Kitty alright."
"She is fine. There is nothing to worry about. I just wanted to ask permission if I can take your daughter to my kendo practice at my house. I would drop her off in one piece afterwards." Mori replied.
"I have no problems with that. Make sure she eats well and protect her, my dear." Ashley said, smiling. "I am happy that you called to ask."
"I didn't want you to worry." Mori replied.
"Well thank you. I have to go… Goodbye…" Ashley said, hanging up. "You know if you wanted to kill me, you strike me without hesitation." A masked man placed a blade behind her neck. "Also, don't leave an opening." The masked stranger found a gun pointed to his chest. "So tell me, what are your orders?" She then found herself surrounded by ninjas.
"To capture you and the princess." One ninja said.
"Well, I am going to kill every single one of you before you get to her." Then Saul jumped on the masked man behind her. She stole his sword and let out a smile. "Thanks Saul, let's take out the trash." Ashley raced through her home, knocking out any ninja that blocked her path. They were on the ground unconscious and Saul walked towards her with some tape. "Thanks Saul…" She tied every single ninja with tape and rope.
"I see you haven't lost your touch, sister…" A man said, walking in the room. He had silver hair and crimson red eyes.
"Allenson, are these your goons?" Ashley replied, pointing at the pile of unconscious men.
"No, I was tracking those idiots as well." He replied. "They are after my client."
"Your client, you mean Prince Samuel." Ashley said. "He is here."
"Yes, we just arrive a few days ago." Allenson said. "The King expects to see her and to crown her the new ruler of Kenova. He sent Asher to retrieve her."
"And if she refuses the invitation." Ashley replied.
"We would make her take the throne."Allenson said. "Even if she is your daughter…"
"So you know that I adopted her. I love her and I respect her decision." Ashley said. "But she doesn't know about her origin so let me tell her first before she meets her cousin."
"Very well, I would give you a day." Allenson said, walking to the door. "No more… I have orders you know but it is good to see you again."
"It has been ten years." She replied. She watched him leave and she let out a sigh. "Thank you Allenson." She then turned to the tied ninjas. "I guess you are going to have a date with a demon today."
Kitaru was sitting on the terrace. She was sipping tea and watching Mori practice his Kendo in the garden. His movements were swift and strong. I can watch him do this all day. He is very cute. Kitaru thought, smiling.
I can't stop thinking about what Haruhi said. I don't know what to do if I leave Ouran High School. I don't know if she would still wait for me. Mori thought, swinging his blade. It is just giving me a hard time focusing on my Kendo. He then turned to her. I love her. "Do you want to learn?"
"Oh no, I might be terrible at it." Kitaru said. He extends his hand to her. "I mean it…"
"Just this once…" Mori said. Kitaru put her cup down and walked towards him. She grabbed the wooden sword. He stood behind her helped her adjust her body properly. "Let your energy and power flow throughout your body." She was blushing as she felt his hands onto hers. She lifted the wooden sword above her head and swung it downwards swiftly. "You are doing well but more speed when you start and more power when you strike."
"Okay…" Kitaru said. She swung once more. "How was that?"
"You are doing great." Mori said, pulling her closer. All I know is that I am truly going to miss her. She dropped the wooden sword but he didn't care. He drowns his face into her white hair.
"Mori, is there something wrong?" Kitaru asked.
"Nothing, I just…"
"It is something if you are hugging me to death." Kitaru said, pulling herself away and turning to him. "What is bothering you so much? If it is about Noah, you don't need to worry. I would never leave you for him. I love you too much."
"It is not that." Mori said, cupping her face. "I am just really going to miss you when I graduate from Ouran High School."
"Mori, I want you to leave and further your education." Kitaru said. He probably talked to Haruhi. I guess it is time to talk about it. "I want you to achieve your dreams even if I am not there." She then grabbed the wooden sword. "Your dreams are like this sword. The sword needs your hands in order to move. If you leave the sword be, it would never move or defend the people the love. I want you to achieve what you want."
"How about you?" Mori asked. "I can never leave you. We have been apart for ten years. How can I leave you?"
"You are never leaving me. My heart, my love solely belongs to you." Kitaru said. "I would wait for you. I know you would do the same for me. I know that you would want me to achieve my dreams."
"So you would wait for me?" Mori said.
"Of course…" Kitaru said. "I waited ten years to get your heart and I am not going to let any girl take it." He then gave her a mischievous look.
"So you can be jealous?" Mori teased.
"What is wrong with that?" Kitaru pouted, crossing her arms. "I admit I was a little jealous when you went on a date with Mia. I wanted to be the only woman that can make you happy. I wanted to be the only woman that has your heart. Is it wrong to be a little obsessive over my hot boyfriend?"
"So you think I am hot." He teased, walking towards her. She moved back as he approached. "What else you think of me Kita?"
"Let's just pretend you didn't hear that." She said, continuing moving away. "Ahhh… What are you doing?" She then bumped into a tree. He blocked her from escaping and moved closer to her. Why do I feel that I trigger something? She blushed viciously as he moved his face towards hers.
"I am curious of what you think of me Kita." Mori said. "For some strange reason, I am turned on." She froze with shock and also turning red. He cupped her face. Damn, I want her. "I think you are hot too and sometimes I can't control myself even when you are with another guy. I wanted to kill Noah for even asking you on a date. Yes, I can be a little jealous as well and it only happens when some guy tries to hit on you. I want to be the only man that can make you happy and the only man that has your heart."
"Really?"
"Really… I am just happy that you want to keep me." Mori said, grabbing her hips. "After all, I am solely yours." She let out a giggle as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"And I am solely yours as well." She said, kissing him passionately. She then pulled back and smiled. "Let's do more Kendo. I am beginning to understand why you like it so much." He smiled and kissed her on the forehead.
"Sure…"
Ranka walked up the stairs to his apartment and made his way there. He spotted his neighbors' front door open and found Ashley, drinking a bottle of liquor. "Ash, is it a little bit too early to drink?" He asked, entering the room. He then found beer cans and glass bottles all over the floor. "You drank all this."
"I can drink a warehouse full of these bottles and would never feel tipsy. I tried many times." Ashley said. "There is nothing that can make me drunk."
"You look troubled." Ranka said, sitting on the opposite side of her. "What seems to be the problem my dear?"
"The day that I fear is coming soon." Ashley said, drinking some more.
"We both know that even Hiro and Akira." Ranka said. "You have done well, Ash. You protected and loved their daughter and kept your promise of hiding the real truth from Kitaru."
"But in the end, I fear that she would hate me for it." Ashley said. "With all the good things I have done for her, she would forget about me." Ranka grabbed her hand.
"Kitaru loves you. She would understand." Ranka said. "You saved her and brought her here. Can you see how happy and healthy she has become because of you?" He then grabbed the bottle from her and took it away. "You may not get drunk but you are already drunk with sorrow. I know how you feel. Every single day I fear that I would lose Haruhi just like I lost my wife. Haruhi is my world and to lose her is a nightmare." Ashley took the bottle back and poured him a glass.
"Then I guess you understand more about I feel than anyone else." Ashley said. "Drink up Ranka, I do need of company and also I need help finishing this bottle before my Kitty gets here."
"I guess it wouldn't hurt." Ranka said.
Five hours later
Tamaki insist of walking Haruhi home however, his car was on standby when he was done. "Tamaki-sempai, I want to say thank you." Haruhi said, walking beside him.
"What for?" He asked.
"You defend me and Kitaru from that host club. It was very sweet of you." Haruhi said. Tamaki grabbed her hand.
"Haruhi, you are not trash. You are my heart and I can't live without you." Tamaki said, smiling. "The Host Club is our family and each member is important to me. They are more important than money or gold." Haruhi then kissed him on the cheek.
"You are important too." Haruhi said. They walked up the stairs and found Kitaru's door open. Out of the blue, Ranka walked out the door sluggishly and caught a glance at his daughter. "Dad, are you okay?"
"HARUHI!" Ranka cheered, hugging her tightly. "I am home."
"Dad, you smell like a bar." Haruhi said. "Have you been drinking?"
"I am sorry Haruhi. I didn't mean to get him drunk." Ashley said, scratching her head. "I hope you two have a good day."
"We did. And you look ever so lovely Ms. Ashley." Tamaki said, giving her a rose.
"You don't need to be so nice to me Tamaki. I am not going to kill you." Ashley said, smiling. However, her smile seems rather evil. "But if you hurt my adorable niece in any way I have to resign of being your protector and become your number one enemy and you don't that do you?"
"YES MA'AM!" Tamaki screamed, shaking. I wonder where Kitaru gets it. She is beautiful alright but very deadly.
"Hey Aunty Ashley, is Kitaru home? I want to remind her that we have to bake sweet treats for the Cultural Festival a week from now." Haruhi asked.
"Oh, she is off with Takashi. She would be arriving soon. Which that reminds me, I have to clean up the place before she comes." Ashley said, giving her a teabag. "This is a very special tea, it can erase the alcohol in your father's system."
"Thanks Aunty." Haruhi said, carrying her father into the house.
It is time to tell her… Ashley thought.
