A High School Nightmare

Chapter 10:

~Hailey's Pov~

"Korra!" I yelled as she screamed again, it had been two days since they started up that awful machine. "Korra!" she couldn't hear me none of them could, they couldn't see me either. Not when I first disappeared, not when Korra and her friends were at her school and I know she blames herself for this, all of this.

I have to help her, I need to warn someone, anyone! I closed my eyes and tried blocking out Korra's painful screams, and focused on her friends. Once I saw them gathered in Tenzin's living room, all with worried faces, this was our last chance to save Korra, my big sister. All though she is annoying, I love her and I don't want anything horrible happening to her.

So I focused hard, I felt myself slipping through the wormhole in the dimension. I fell onto the floor in front of them, hearing them gasp as they saw me appear out of nowhere. I caught my breath, go through dimensions was tiring. The first thing I said was, "I know where Korra is!"

Mako was the first to get up, he helped me up. Standing in front of me asked urgently, "Where is she?"

"In the old Cabbage Cor. Warehouse downtown, the one that shut down because of all the Triple Threat murders." He quickly grabbed his coated and rushed out the door. The others and I closely behind. I started to read his mind, he was acting if he was going to die if we didn't find Korra soon. As I read, I gasped, I knew why he was acting so out of character. Mako likes Korra! Probably even more than Asami. I looked at Asami reading her thoughts, which were only of worry for Korra and her oddly acting boyfriend. Then Bolin was thinking the same as Asami, but he knew why also. Bo's reasoning was because Mako got attached to Korra after they ….. they kissed! This is so much more than I expected, I love high school drama, I can't wait to tell Marina about this. But first we have to save my sister. We arrived quicker than I thought we would, I looked at my watch, we had fifteen minutes left to save Korra until she … I'm not even going to think about it. We snuck inside quietly, I read most of the guards' minds. They were about to change positions. I concentrated and told the others in theirs and my mind, since I'm telepathic. They all nodded as we moved quickly, I lead the way because I knew where Kor was. As the screams were getting louder I knew we were getting close. The door was heavily guarded by armed men. I read their minds, most were bored since they didn't get to move. I telepathed the others of this information of stationary soldiers. We made a plan that the teens distract them as I use my teleportation powers to get into Korra's room. I was a little nervous from what happened last time, but I had to suck it up if we were going to save my sister. I looked at my watch five minutes. "Alright let's do this" a telepathed this message to Kor's friends and then teleported into her room. I could her the battle begin outside the door. I had to be quite for there was a man with a mask in the corner, snoozing away. I made my way over to the machine and flicked switches and pressed buttons, which only sped up the process. Just then Mako, Bolin, and Asami burst through the door and Korra screamed one final time. The timer for her life was one minute left before I pressed the right button, Korra fell limp on the metal chairish-table she was on. The man in the corner woke to only be knocked out by Mako and Bolin's fist. Then Mako rushed to Korra's side as did I. She was barely breathing, her heart beat was slow.

"Come on Kor, come back please" Mako said shaking her, her heart beat and breathing was still low and fading. It was no use, if a miracle didn't happen I was going to lose my big and only sister.
