"Let the round start. You have five minutes" announced the mascot. "So we'll get to fight among ourselves on the first day itself, Elfman. I feel my soul quivering " Said Baccus in his unique drunken style. "I will also win this time ." Said the takeover mage with a smirk. "We'll see. Cresent Moon" said Baccus as he rushed towards Elfman who called :" Beast Soul: Porcupine. " . Elfman was now a reddish orange giant porcupine with 10cm or more longer spines. "Aw! It hurts !" Exclaimed Bacchus as multiple spines pierced his hand.
"What! A new transformation! " said Wendy amazed. "Yes, 3 months before the games, Me, Natsu, Gray, Jet, Droy and Mira with her family went to do some training on the beach. And here is in what resulted Elfman's efforts. Porcupine's spine are poisonous and is more faster than Lizardman but if all his spines have fallen out he his very vulnerable. "Said Erza with a nod. "But there is something that ticks me off." Said Lucy and then Gray asked:" And what is it? ". "It's simply that if they continue like that there is going to be time up and Sabertooth will win 5 points. Elfman must hurriedly defeat at least that Vanessa then if he gets time defeat Baccus. He is just wasting time. " replied the blonde. "Oi, Elfman defeat that girl first then take care of him ! We don't have much time! "Encouraged the pink haired dragon slayer.
"Sorry Mr The Fairy, but it is too late. Shadow Fume Style : Skull Serpent Bite." Called Vanessa as a serpent rose from a very dark purple blue magical circle. It's body was made of skulls of purplish blue smoke. The snake went towards Elfman and after hitting the Fairy Tail mage it turned into a purplish black hand which threw Elfman on Baccus. Both flew towards a big wall which crumbled by the throwing force on the two men.
"Elfman! " shouted the Strauss sisters + Evergreen who shocked Freid and Bixlow.
"And the winner is: Vanessa from Sabertooth B ." Exclaimed Chapati. "Those mages were good but Vanessa was the best of them. Overall the match was good even if it was of about 4 minutes ." Said Yajima . "Cool! Shadow Fume Style is Cool! " Exclaimed the reporter. "I agree with both Yajima-san and Jason.I hope the others would be as entertaining as this one" said Lahar. "This girl is an example of small children stronger than some adults. There are also some others like Wendy or Cheria or even Coco from the legions " said Byro .
"The thing that I hate the most are: FAIRIES" murmured Vanessa as she exited the battle field which became back to normal.
"Oi ! Elfman! Get up! You are really heavy! " exclaimed Natsu while him and Gray were trying to take Elfman to the infirmary. "Damn, did he become heavier or what. Couldn't he take a fast ." Complained Gray. "Really you are a band of useless. Give him to me. Natsu, Gray stay here. Girls you stay with me. If ever one of us is going to participate come and tell us. I don't know why but I sense something strange from him . Maybe I'll need to examine him."said Lucy while holding Elfman over her shoulders. "No way! I will stay with him! Stop imitating me! Grrr..." exclaimed Natsu/Gray. "Shut up and do what she says ! " shouted Erza with a death glare which automatically made Gray and Natsu start to act like Happy.
"I hope that Elfman will be Ok. Look he is not even moving. I am really worried about him." Said Lissana, worried about his brother. "Don't worry Lissana. We have plenty of mages who have healing powers. There are Wendy, Porlyusica, Lucy, Me, Levy and even Gajeel. And from the sincerest part of my heart I know that he will heal soon as your, Mirajane's and secretly Evergreen's love equals the whole universe. " said Juvia to comfort Lissana. "What Gajeel knows healing spells! Haha !" Exclaimed Laxus mockingly. "Healing spells are too easy to learn. Even Lily knows some. They are really far from being tough to learn." Gajeel said while straightening his shades. "Thank you Juvia, you have a really kind heart. I am feeling better. Look the next round is starting. " said Lissana while pointing at a lacrima vision.
"Ok as Elfman and Baccus are now out of the battle field, let's start the round with Mermaid Heel's Rinsley Law as pointmate. The 2 other mages are Blue Pegasus' Ichiya and Lamia Scale's Jura and the battlefield is going to be : The City of Lights . Jura seems to be the favorite. So now let's start."Exclaimed Chapati.
Infirmary- Normal POV
"Porlyusica please, you can go and watch the fight I will take care of him. " said Lucy. "It's my job to look after him but I can see that you will take care of him. Further I hate humans especially Elfman. "Exclaimed Porlyusica before going away. "Ok so let's see what happened to him. Wendy use a healing spell on him . Of any level below strong. " ordered Lucy. Wendy nodded and then called: " Oh winds of the azure sky, gather and give him refuge." Then wind streaks started to envelope Elfman who started to glow in a turquoise colour. But none of his bruises or cuts disappeared. "What but I clearly used a medium ranked healing spell but none of his bruises disappeared" said Wendy confused. "What's that is that your magic doing this! ?" Said Erza shocked as some purplish light appeared on Elfman's wounds. "No it's clearly not hers. As none of us know what it is then we absolutely need him. " said Lucy and a key made up of obsibian appeared in her hand. She then called: " Open thee gate of the Dark Alchemist , Come to me : Veracleses! " and a black magic circle appeared on the ground. And a thin ,hooded ,green skinned, man came from it. "Need some poison to kill someone. Heh" it said with a rather old frisky voice. It was wearing a torn olive green cleric robe with a hood. His eyes were bright golden.
"Everyone I present to you Veracleses the expert of poison or other dangerous effects. He is part of the 8 mythical races like Fairies, Gods, Dragons, Demons, Aerials etc..." Veracleses could you tell me what are these purple lights. " said Lucy. "Of course! " said the zombie as he walked in a strange manner to Elfman's body. He then licked Elfman's skin which made Erza think " He is just disgusting. If he were not the only person to help us I would already have killed him" . "Calm yourself Titania and you dragon: I will neither eat his brain nor yours." The spirit said. After some seconds Lucy then asked : " Did you find out what happened to him ?". He nodded and said "Yes, he was hit with what we call 'The Bite of The Shadows' . Only great masters in death and shadow magic can use this effect. All the undeads can use this effect also but we usually use it as last resort or if we want to kill someone with poison and don't want him do be cured by the time he dies. It's power is very powerful.' The bite of the shadows ' forbiddens any exterior healing or curing. It means that to get up again the person must either depend on his regenerative skill or that the effect tends off and receive exterior help." And then Lucy replied :" Oh god! His regenerative abilities are low so we must depend on the effect to fed off. I think you must know how much time the spell will continue to make effect." Said Lucy worried. "The time is not always the same but for this one I can say that it will shed off in about 2 weeks. If you don't have anymore question I am going. I have a pot on fire." replied Veracleses. "Yes you may go. I guess that we'll have to use our replacement. I wonder who it is going to be, Cana or Fried. Wendy, Erza go and join Natsu and Gray. Me I will go to Quadro Cerberus' infirmary to see if Baccus is also affected. I will join with you latter on." Ordered Lucy before she went out of the infirmary.
"Oh my god! The timer says that 3 minutes and 45 seconds have passed and all the 3 contestants are still standing. Rinsley is juggling from rock pillar to rock pillar with her gravity alteration magic. While Ichiya with his strength perfume is eliminating Jura's earth attacks one by one." Exclaimed Chapati. "Never underestimate a mermaid !" Exclaimed Rinsley while running on some earth pillars with the help of her gravity alteration magic.
"Excuse me, Rocker isn't it? Can I please take a look at Baccus. ?" Asked Lucy to the Quadro Cerberus mage."Sure he is just inside in the corridor drinking. "Said the man. "Oh if he is okay then there is no need to approach him. Anyway if ever his wounds started glowing purple , tell me. Okay! " said Lucy as she ran away.
"Wow this round is amazing it's I think the first time that this Mrs BombeAquatique ( -aquatic Bomb in french) making an opponent have a bad time and her opponent are actually Baldy and Ichiya. " said Natsu in admiration. "Ok nothing with Baccus, I think that only people who got directly hit get that curse. " said Lucy as she arrived. "So , based on what Erza told me what happened. We must be careful and should try to not get hit with her magical attacks. And we will also have to count on a replacement. Am I right? " asked Gray and Lucy responded with a nod.
"Already 4 minutes are gone and no one is down yet so take this! Dirty perfume MAX !" Exclaimed Ichiya as he put 2 flasks in each of his nostrils then opened another flask releasing a magical perfume. "I need a place: Closed Box" called Jura and he enclosed himself a box without any openings. "I need to hold my respiration or look for a closed place. Beurk !" Screamed Rinsley before falling unconscious. 5 , "My nose is burning" shouted Jura as the perfume's effect is also acting in his closed space . 4 , "I need to hold my breath" thought Jura as he executed his thoughts. 3 , 2 and "I can't anymore" thought Jura as a big dose of perfume entered his nostrils. 1 "and both Jura and Ichiya get 2 points. " Exclaimed Chapati . "Some more seconds and victory would have been for Ichiya" commented Yajima. "But is was truly a great spectacle. And I think my comrades judges present here would agree to give all the 3 teams 1 point bonus by the 'spectacle ' law. If ever a great spectacle is made all teams participating in it gets one point bonus." said Lahar. " 'Spectacle' rule is cool! " exclaimed Jason. "I accept giving these teams a bonus point. " said Byro. "So as said Team Lamia Scale, Blue Pegasus and Mermaid Heel gets 1 bonus points ." Said Chapati.
"What we get points for making a good fight. That sounds interesting." Said Gray.
"Ok so next round will take place in the Azure Palace with Lamia Scale's Cheria Blendi as pointhost. The pointmates are going to be : Fairy Tail B 's Gajeel Redfox and again Blue Pegasus' Hibiki Lates. And now may the round start! ." Exclaimed Pirielle and everyone were shocked to find a castle decorated with blue tiles was flying in the sky. The mages were teleported inside and a fight signal appeared.
"It's too easy . Lily please take care of them. Special Summon : Companion Summon: Pantherlily. " Called Gajeel and Pantherlily appeared from a silvery magical circle.
"What Gajeel knows summoning magic and he chose Lily to fight in his place. Awesome" said Natsu amazed. "Hmm, so there are other exceeds present in Earthland. Even Pantherlily is present here , Crystal is going to love this tournament. " thought Alain (Blue Pegasus) .
"What! Till when does he know that" asked Cheria amazed and Hibiki replied: "I don't know, I am discovering this along with you today."
"Oh my! Gajeel used summoning magic to make his companion fight with him. Who knew that he knew that. "Exclaimed Chapati. "Gajeel..." thought Rogue
"I leave them to you Lily. " said Gajeel. He then muttered " the blizzard is going to come...". "Ok show me what you've got. " said Lily as he rose in the sky and called : " Body attribution : Ice , Ice Breaker" . Pantherlily's body and sword transformed into ice and he dove and when his sword made impact with a space between Cheria and Hibiki, a giant iceberg appeared and soon broke itself into multiple pieces. Hibiki and Cheria who were trapped in the iceberg were violently thrown on walls. Hibiki was laying down unconscious while Cheria was regenerating herself.
"Wow! Lily also use offensive magic and his ice seems seems to be even better than Gray's."muttered Happy who was unhappy. "Wow amazing , that attack was superb! But how did he learn that Body thing. " asked Natsu and Wendy replied to him saying " Lucy also trained Lily and Carla and now you can see Lily's improvements. ". "Your training sessions must be very difficult so as he developed so much power. " said Erza and then Lucy said: "No , it was not difficult, it was ULTRA DIFFICULT ". "I think you are overestimating your training Lucy. " said Gray while sweat dropping. "Lucy is telling the truth." Said Wendy.
"Wow . I never knew that an exceed would be so powerful. " said Cheria as she was getting on her feet. "Lily, you can go, I think that I will take care of her myself. " said Gajeel and Pantherlily disappeared while nodding. Pantherlily then appeared on Fairy Tail's bleachers and everyone started talking about him. "I think one ring will be enough. " said Gajeel as he removed one of his rings. "Take this : Sphere of Pain." Called Gajeel as his ring flew quickly towards Cheria and started to hit her from every places at high speed. Gajeel then ordered : " Stop! " and the ring stopped . Gajeel then called :" Metal make: Polygon Prison" and the ring started changing form and started to increase volume. It then enveloped Cheria so just her face was visible. "Damn and me who thought that one ring would be enough. " Metal make: Giant" called Gajeel as one ring slipped from his finger and transformed into a giant human. "Kick the metal piece, Iron Giant" ordered Gajeel and the giant moved like a normal person and gave Cheria who was in the metal prison a kick which made her fly in the air. She flew outside the castle and fell into the eternal sky.
"Oh my god. I forgot to say that some battlefields have ring out effects and Cheria is actually ringed out . So Gajeel is the winner."said Chapati. "He definitely had new things this year."said Yajima. "Metal mold and summoning magic is Cool! " Exclaimed Jason. "This clearly the Fairy Tail from eight years ago because : look at the castle or should I say the remains of the castle."said Lahar. Indeed the castle was nearly completely destroyed due to Pantherlily's Ice Breaker and Gajeel's giant. Byro just nodded in agreement. "Don't worry the scenes come only one time. If another time the Azure Castle is going to be selected it will be as it was before." Said Pirielle with a smile.
Gajeel returned his creations into rings again and went to Fairy Tail B's bleachers as the terrain became as it was before , meaning: Barren. We could hear Levy shout" That's my man! That's my men! I love him so much ". "Since when did she become a love bird ?" Asked Laxus. "You know they were nearly fiancee but they were about to pass rings when they decided that this will happen in a few years . And one other thing they are both madly in love with each other" explained Juvia to her team.
"Wow! Gajeel can now mold iron that's too cool. And he can even give life to them. " said Natsu amazed. "You know Flamehead that you are getting too amazed from everything. " said Gray then Natsu replied " Wanna fight Underwear princess. " and Gray continued with: " Come on Squinty Eyes" and the Natsu " Shut up , Droopy Eyes" and finally Erza with a "Shut up you two or I will try to make it so as you don't see the next sunrise. " which stopped them from fighting."You know Natsu ,he can not only mold iron but also any type of metal." said Lucy.
"Brother became stronger. I think I might fight him somedays" said Samuel while noting his observations into a notebook. "Good luck in that" said Mary Hugs. "Nooo my sweet Lulu ( you know that it is Lucy isn't it) will in difficulties. Look at the Lacrima Vision" said Dan while crying.
"As displayed on the Lacrima vision I am going to announce you all the next round. The Pointhost is from Fairy Tail A and her name is Lucy Heartfilia. And her opponents are both from Sabertooth. They are Flare Corona from Sabertooth B and Minerva Orlando from Sabertooth A . This round is going to be a nostalgic one as if you remember well, Lucy fought both opponents last year. Unfortunately she lost to both of them." Exclaimed Chapati. "Even if Minerva is the favorite, I prefer support Fairy Tail as maybe you don't know but when I was young I was also member of Fairy Tail." Said Yajima. "I am getting excited. I have got an idea I am going to show you the replay of last year's Lucy vs Flare and Naval battle. If you wanna know I made videos of Lucy's adventures till she joined Fairy Tail to last year's tournament. I have more than 175 videos with some five or six OVAs which I made with Gemini's help." Said Pirielle and on the Lacrima vision passed Fairy Tail episode in which Lucy was fighting Flare ( I forgot which episode number it was) but without any opening or ending videos.
"Ok ... Yes I will tell them..." murmured Levy and then Gajeel asked "What's happening , sweetheart? " and Levy replied : " Lucy was talking to me via telepathy. She was telling me to tell everyone in our team to not encourage her when she will descend in the arena. ". "How strange? " said Laxus.
"Hey guys I don't want anyone to encourage me as I am 100% sure that I will win . Understood! "Said Lucy.
"What. ... Why. ... Okay..." murmured Carla and the Pantherlily asked: "What happens? Lucy gave you a message? " . She nodded and said:" I am talking to all of you even you Master Macarov, Mavis and Elfair. Lucy told me to tell you all not to encourage her. Okay! . She is also saying that those who won't agree even master Mavis, Macarov, Elfair or Asuka will have to face their biggest fear." Everyone then nodded in fear.
About 25 minutes later.
"So our moments of nostalgia are over now Lucy, Flare and Minerva are called on the battlefield which is going to be : Crystal Mines " Exclaimed Chapati. Minerva arrived in the arena first with multiple cheerings. Flare then arrived in the same state. Lucy some seconds after with only cheers from the crowd of spectators. "What! Fairy Tail is not cheering their mage. What is happening! ?" Exclaimed Chapati. "Maybe because they know that My Lady will eat her today. " said Sting from Sabertooth B bleachers while his exceed nodded in agreement.
"At last you got some good sense of fashion but unfortunately that beautiful dress will get destroyed by my hands. "Said Minerva arrogantly. "We'll see , We'll see" said Lucy. "And now let the battle start! " exclaimed Pirielle.
