As Elsa explained, Dr Carl noticed Jack wasn't paying any attention to what his wife was saying. To interupt Elsa, Dr Carl coughed lightly causing the fueding couple to look up at the doctor in question. Dr Carl looked down at his lap as he gave his reason for the disturbance, "Mr Frost, it seems to me you weren't paying any attention whatsoever to what your wife had to say. It seems only polite for you to listen." The elder man said, there was something in his voice which sounded agitated.

"Oh I'm sorry. It's just... I've heard all of this before. I dont see how any of this is going to help restore my marriage." Jacks monotone voice caused a dull ache in Elsa's heart, but the sentence that followed, "So, tell me something I don't know, princess." With a sneering tone, caused that dull ache to turn into an excrutiating pain.

"Alright, sweetie, here's something you don't never. When me and Jack were just about to become college students, we'd been in a relationship for quite some time, about... two years, we'd had sex before, and then, I'd just started my first assignments when I discovered..." she paused, glancing out of the corner of her eye to look at Jack. She had his attention, but this is the hard part, how does she tell him this? "I found out I was pregnant." She sighed, and the silence was deathening. Her hands folded on her lap, she didn't dare look up to meet anyones gaze. "I was so scared. Scared of what my sister might think, scared of how my family would react, scared of how it would affect my studies and future and above all, I was terrified of what Jack might say, do, or think. So... without anyone knowing... I..." Elsa sighed, scrunching her eyes shut as her tears stung her eyes. "I got rid of the baby." She finished.

There was a pause before anyone said anything. "Our baby?" Jack questioned. It was a cruel question, but this was something Jack had never been told, and if the baby had been his, it would give him more of a reason to break off the marriage than any reason Elsa could come up with.

Elsa looked at Jack with disbelief that he had the nerve to ask something like that. But instead of making the situation worse she answered. "Yes... Our baby." Elsa mentally prepared herself for Jack to walk out of the room in anger or shout and swear at her. But he chuckled, a loud chuckle that couldn't be mistaken as anything else, but Elsa could tell there was anger within this act of humor, he tilts his head back and allows the vibrations of laughter out freely.

Dr Carl frowned in confusion. Why was this man chuckling? Jack soon answered that question for him. "Its funny, because, you wait until this one moment to tell me some bullshit like that. What do you want Elsa? Sympathy? For me to forgive you for putting me through all this crap?" His tone was filled with sarcastic humor. Elsa's sad expression changed into one of hurt and anger.

"I'm telling the truth!" she announced in anger.

"Then fuck you Elsa!" Jack shouted standing from his seat. What Elsa hadn't taken note of, but Dr Carl had, was how Jack shook slightly when he was angry or upset. He paced inbetween Dr Carl and Elsa. "We've been married for two fucking years Elsa! Throughout the time between now and when you had the abortion you could've told me. Why the fuck did you wait till now? I'm your husband! Does that mean nothing to you?" He shouted, stopping beside Dr Carl, his nostrils were flaring and the rage radiated off of him like heat from a fire.

Standing up and walking over to him, Elsa cupped his face with both her hands. Whilst Jack had raged on, Elsa had summoned enough courage to remind herself that this is her husband, the man she loves and has been a bitch to for too long, and he is not this monster which he is turning into now. "I know, Jack. I know. But I was so scared Jack. I didn't know we were going to get married. I thought that if I told you, you might leave me-" Jack took her hands off from his face and glared at her.

"What sort of man do you think I am? And what about on our wedding night Elsa? In fact... any night before and after we got married! Why now! I wouldn't have left you. Because I'm too fucking stupid and weak to do so. To leave the woman I am mad about, and at the moment, mad with." He snaps. He puts little effort into shoving her away, walking towards the window, resting his forehead against the cold glass.

"Mr Frost. I hate to interupt this moment between the two, this is good progress for you both-" Dr Carl begins, but his own interuption is interuptted by Jack scoffing.

"Progress?" he asked in disbelief, then snorted. "I don't mean to be rude, Doc, but all you have done is take notes of us arguing or things we have told you. No 'progress' has been made." Jack declared still staring out the window at the world below. One couple caught his eye, the man held his womans hand as he twirled her around, the womans silky looking hair blew in the light wind, and he brings her into his chest and embraced her lovingly. Jack released a sigh. Clearly Elsa and Dr Carl had been talking, but he'd zoned out.

It seemed whenever one thing was getting even remotely close to being solved, another two things were added to their troubles. As Elsa started to believe, even if it was just a little, that Jack wasn't having an affair, they still had to deal with the loss of their child, and now Jack discovers that Elsa had a secret abortion without telling Jack until now.

Jack wanted to forgive her, but he felt like there was something strong holding him back. He felt their was something strong pulling him and Elsa apart and he couldn't get rid of it without Elsa.

"Mr Frost?" Dr Carl called out to the younger man in hopes of a response, he'd been doing so for three minutes and Jack just didn't seem to have been listening. "Mr Frost?" Dr Carl called again, this time gaining a response from the miserable man. Without questioning if he had been listening Dr Carl continued, "I was telling your wife how, the reason we haven't 'progressed' very far is because at the moment we are dealing with this situation in stages. I believe that the only way the marriage can be saved is if the couple work together. For that we needed every secret and everything that troubles you both out in the open. From there we'll work on how to solve your situation-" Dr Carl tries to explain to Jack in a calm tone, but Jack has more on his mind.

"You know I still believe me and Elsa could've sorted this out on our own. I never wanted to come to these stupid counselling sessions, I though... no I knew, that Elsa and I could've dealt with our issues on our own. But no, instead we waste money on fucking counselling!" Jack snapped, there were more reasons behind this sudden outburst, but his mind went blank in that one moment and he couldn't go through the many reasons he had. He wanted to go home.

Dr Carl had a calm expression on his face, whilst Elsa looked extremely embarrassed. The calm expression on the old mans face never faltered, putting his pen down Dr Carl rested both hands on top of his open notebook and looked up at the younger man, "What are you suggesting Mr Frost?" he asked. It was clear to all of Dr Carls colleagues that he wanted to help Jack and Elsa get their lives back together in any means possible. But Jack wanted to do things his way, and Dr Carl couldn't argue with his decision. Maybe it would be good for the two of them to deal with the issues their own way. But Dr Carl needed to know just exactly what Jack meant.

"As in we don't come to the counselling anymore." Jack answered with eagerness in his voice.

Finally, Elsa spoke up, "No, Jack. I know right now you may not want to listen to me, but I don't want to stop these sessions, not until I feel comfortable with our situation." She had a look of strong determination on her soft features, she spoke with the same determination, but in a soft and gentle way.

"Well when will you feel 'comfortable', babe?" Jack asked in an annoyed tone.

"When I am sure, Jack... I don't know... when I am sure that we are fine. That you won't leave and that I am ready to move on from everything bad thats happened." Elsa argued, frustrated with herself for not having an actual answer for her aggrivated husband.

"Alright then. I want an entire week, no counselling, just me and Elsa dealing with our problem in our own way, no stupid notes being taken, no having to leave our house, none of that bullshit." Jack declared, turning swiftly from Dr Carl to look at Elsa, he had a dark look in his eyes and momentarily as he looked at Elsa that look softened. "Is that alright by you, Elsa?" he asked.

No matter how angry the two were with one another they still cared about each others feelings. Elsa nodded, "Five days." Dr Carl announced out of nowhere. Both Jack and Elsa turned to look at him with a questioning look. "If you spend any longer than five days away from these counselling sessions then I'll have to put you on a waiting list again." He explained, causing the young couple more confusion than they had started with.

"Why?" Elsa asked, the question they both wanted to know. Breathing a large sigh, Carl stood from his leather chair, closing his notebook and putting it back in the drawer with the letter 'F' in bold font on the front.

"Well, you aren't the only couple to have problems, there are other couples who have specifically asked for my help, and I'm an old man now, Mrs Frost. Soon I'll have to retire. But for now I finish early, or help the new trainee, Ralph. Any longer than five days and I am led to believe that your problems have been solved and that you no longer require my assistance." Dr Carl explained thoroughly.

As Jack bid Dr Carl farewell and left, Elsa stayed in the room for a while longer, waiting until Dr Carl called to her, which didn't take very long. "Is there anything I can help you with Mrs Frost?" he asked. Twisting the white-gold ring on her finger, Elsa walked closer to the man.

"If, within these five days, we want to come back, will we be able to?" She asked, an innocent question, but not what she wanted to ask him.

The man chuckled lightly, placing a hand comfortingly on her shoulder. "Of course you can Mrs Frost. Same time, same place, just try not to be late. Also, I gather you have our number, you can always call them down at the reception." Dr Carl reassured with a smile. But the smile faded as he noticed the look on the young womans face. "You're feeling guilty? Am I right?" he asked, no words were needed as she nodded slowly, but surely. "The best way you can make it up to your husband, and the easiest way, is to move on, show him your feelings. You love him, and he loves you, there's no shame in that." He explained, looking into those sad blue eyes. "Use these five days to your advantage. Use tonight and tomorrow to mend the broken parts, and then the next few days to patch up the damage. No marriage is perfect. But its how you treat it that makes it seem perfect to those who don't know any better." He added, a warm smile brightening up his face.

"Thank you Dr Carl. For all your help so far." Elsa thanked him, before leaving the room to meet her husband at the reception.

Authors Notes: OMG!

I've had some shit to do, hence why there have been no updates.

But thats not an excuse I know.

In other words.

I finally updated. I was beating myself up about this for a while and spent quite a while thinking 'how the f*** am I going to pull this off'.

Sorry for the amount of swearing in this chapter, I just thought 'Jacks angry, what the hell'.

Hopefully it won't take as long next time to update.

If you have any prompts or idea's... that's what reviews are for.
