Turn 10: An Unexpected Crush

"I still can't believe how easy it was to make out like bandits!" Geo exclaimed, waving his money filled briefcases

Both him and his brother walked out the front doors leading into the Babel Tower. The most iconic malls/private gambling buildings in all of Japan. Lelouch grinned as he carried his own briefcase.

"It did run a little smoothly." He agreed, making a small 'hup' noise as he fixed the way he carried the luggage "Either the nobles are starting to lose their edge. Or we're just getting to good for them."

"It wouldn't surprise me if it was the former, as opposed to the latter."

Both 10 year olds looked back to see Euphie walk out of the front doors in calm manner, a money-filled briefcase of her own. Recently, the pink haired teen had learned of the little gambling expeditions her boyfriend and his brother went on, every so often. After some persuasion (Along with use of a special trump card of hers that destroyed Lelouch's resolve) the teen found herself accompanying the boy's on her first ever gamble run. To which, while she was quite please with the results of her hard work, it left her a bit underwhelmed.

"I had hoped that when I challenged to the nobles to a game of chess, I would be offered a decent challenge." She raised her briefcase "But considering how they play. I had better opponents at the local park I always go to."

"While I can't defend today's batch of victims. Not all nobles are like that." Geo stated, slinging one of the briefcases over his shoulder "As you keep going on these runs, there are opponents that can give you a run for your money. No pun intended; stick around, and there might be a noble that may just surprise you."

"I should hope so." Euphie smiled

Lelouch clapped his hands "So, now that, that's over with. What do you say we go out a celebrate Euphie's first gambling run?"

"That sounds good." Geo agreed brightly

"What about you, Euphie?" Lelouch looked at his girlfriend, and noticed the she was spacing out "Euphie?"

The 15 year old had been staring off in the distance with a serious expression on her face. And if the raven haired boy didn't know better he could swear that she was glaring at something.

Lelouch patting her on her arm snapped her out of her reverie "Huh, yes?"

"Are you okay? You seemed kind of out of it for a while there." Her boyfriend asked worriedly

"Oh, no I'm fine." She waved off "I was just thinking about something. Now weren't we about to have a celebration, or not?"

Both boys nodded their heads and soon the trio got into the EM car Geo had made during their conversation.

Further down the block, across the street. A young teenage girl with shoulder length fuchsia colored hair and a pair of crystal emerald green eyes, were staring at the trio as they drove off. The girl put up her hoodie and donned her shades before revving up her motorcycle to follow them.

"A toast! To another successful run, as well as Euphie's inauguration into our little group." Geo said

"Kampai!"

The two kids and teen clinked their drinks with one another and laughed in merriment. Geo smiled as he watched his brother feed a piece of cake to his older girlfriend. It was real amusing seeing the girl turn a nice shade of scarlet before accepting the piece. His smile faded however and he looked out the window. The action did not go unnoticed by Lelouch.

"Geo? Is something the matter?" The raven haired boy asked

Geo blinked, before broadening his smiled "Oh, it's nothing." He smiled turned into a teasing grin "I was just thinking about how loving my brother and future sister-in-law are together."

Lelouch spluttered, rapidly saying things about, it being too early to think about that. Euphemia merely hung her head low to hide the blush forming on her face.

"Aw relax, you know I'm kidding." Geo teased, relishing at the reaction he garnered from the two

Euphie cleared her throat, some remnants of her blush still present "Lelouch, why don't you got check to see what type of ice cream flavors this cafe has."

"Certainly…" The boy muttered, silently cursing death wishes at his mischievous older brother.

As her boyfriend got up from his seat and went to the front of the cafe. Euphie turned her attention to Geo, her embarrassed expression gone. In it's place, a more serious look.

"Now that we're alone." She started, startling the brunette 10 year old "Wanna tell me what's bothering you? Be honest."

Geo was surprised at the sudden attitude change with him. Regardless, he answered "There's nothing wrong Euphie, honest. I'm just-"

"Geo…" The tone in Euphemia's voice stated that she wasn't playing

The boy sighed, silently remember who her brother's girlfriend was. Realizing she wasn't going to let this go, he reluctantly started "I'm…a bit jealous."

Euphie blinked "Jealous?" that wasn't an answered she had expected "Of who, your brother?"

"What, of course not!" He replied quickly "I'm just jealous of your relationship."

"Our relationship?"

Geo sighed "Maybe jealous isn't the right word. It's more like envy."

He rubbed his hands together unconsciously "Even though I'm happy for your relationship; and I truly am. Sometimes, I wish I could experience same type of love that you guys share."

Euphemia couldn't help but blink at the revelation Geo told her. This whole time she'd know him, she had considered him to be a surrogate little brother. Even though he often teased and joked around with her relationship with Lelouch, she had his support in the matter every step of the way. She never once guessed that he had this type of feelings kept bottled up.

She opened her mouth to say something but paused, noticing Lelouch coming back to the table, ice cream cone in hand.

"I'm back, and they've got quite the selection." Lelouch said, taking a lick of his rocky road ice cream. He noticed an uneasy atmosphere forming around the two "Was...I interrupting something?"

"No. Me and Euphie were just making small talk. That's it; weren't we, Euphie?" Geo said

The pinkette didn't fail to notice the tone in Geo's voice, which clearly told the girl to drop the matter completely. Euphie stared at Geo, but otherwise remained silent. Lelouch, on the other hand, was staring at both of them confusedly.

"So I guess we'll be seeing you later, then?"

"Yes, do take care of yourselves in getting home."

Euphemia was standing at the side of Geo's EM car, leaning against the window. "I have a few minor errands to take care of." She put a hand on Lelouch's face and looked at Geo "Be safe, both of you."

Both boys nodded; stepping back, she watched the pair drive off. Once they were out in the distance, her smile dropped and she immediately donned her cold persona.

"They're gone, so you can come out now."

She turned to face the entrance of a nearby alleyway. Stepping out into the opening with her hoodie still up was none other than the fuchsia haired girl. The teenage girl had her head hung low, bearing a defeated and slightly anxious look on her face. Euphie remained neutral with her.

"I take it, I'm not going to have any problems with you, right?" It wasn't a question, it was basically an order.

The girl shook her head negatively to show her cooperation. Euphemia let out a small smile "Good, now come with me. We're going to have a little chat about your...actions."

If there was ever a time where the girl just wanted to sink into the ground and disappear, this was it. She followed the pink haired girl at a subdued pace, keeping her head low the entire way. She didn't know what was going to happen to her, but she had a feeling it was going to end badly for her by the end of today.

It was a little over two weeks ago when she first met him. It was nothing special, just a random encounter in the park. She had been sitting near the park fountain, lost in her thoughts whilst writing in her notebook; when the sounds of bubbly laughter caught her attention. She looked up to see a young girl, probably around 6 or 7, running after a flying frisbee. Laughing the entire time, all the while trying to catch it. She smiled warmly at the girl's lively energy; only for the smile to turn into a gasp of shock as she saw the girl trip and fall to the ground.

Forgetting her notebook, she rushed over to the now crying child. Checking to see if she was alright, thankfully finding nothing more than a scraped knee. She wrapped her arms around the girl in an attempt to calm her down and pacify her. It worked, as the young child instantly started to relax. It was by then, she saw him.

"Nunnally!"

At the sound of the call out; She looked up to see two boys, older than the young girl in her arms, running over with a worried expression on their face. One of them had black hair and purple eyes, while the other had brown hair and blue eyes.

She looked down at the girl now known as Nunnally, given the way she reacted to them calling her. Seeing her perk up, she let the girl go and saw her run into the, presumably, older brother's arms. While the raven haired boy continued to fuss over the girl. The brunette one walked over to her, a huge smile on his face.

"Thanks so much for helping our sister."

It was just a simple thank you. Absolutely no alternative meaning behind it whatsoever. And yet, she couldn't help but blush deeply at the gratitude given by the boy. Unconsciously nodding her head, to show that she accepted it. She watched as the trio of sibling start to walk off. The teen wanted to say something, but no words were able to come out. And by then, it was too late, and they were already gone.

Even though such a rare encounter with that boy did not seem likely in the future. The girl still believed that, even with a slim chance, if there was one to see him again, she would take it. Days turned into weeks before lo and behold; she spotted him, walking out of the Babel Tower. Following suit was the same raven haired boy from before, along with a pink haired teenaged girl.

A simple thought ran through the girl's head as she watched the teenage woman talk with the two younger boys: who exactly was she? Her heart jumped when she saw the girl look straight at her. Piercing lavender bore into frightened emerald, as the two girl locked stares with one another. What felt like an eternity, when in actuality was a few seconds. The pink broke her glare with the younger teen. The hoodie wearing girl let out sigh as she watched them get into an EM car and drive off.

"I've come this far." She found herself muttering "No turning back now."

This was a chance opportunity to see that boy again, and she wasn't going to lose it. Even if she had to deal with that scary chick. Whatever it took; there was no losing heart now.

"I said all of that; and meant every word. So why is it…?"

"I can't look her in the face."

Sitting in the middle of a central park; at one of the table provided benches. The fuchsia haired girl was staring hard at the stone table in front of her. Trying her best not to look at the older teenage woman in front of her. Euphemia however, was keeping her gaze transfixed at the quiet girl in front of her. All the while, leaning her head against her hand. She couldn't help the amused look that was appearing on her face as she looked at the girl staring at anything but her. Good; if this girl was scared of her. She had every reason to be.

Realizing that this silence had to be broken at some point. Euphie spoke first "So then…" she started, causing the other girl to flinch "Plan on telling me, why you've been following me and my friends around, little miss stalker?"

Before the girl could even open her mouth, Euphemia cut her off again "Ah wait, excuse me. This is rather rude of me. I didn't ask you your name. May I please have it, so that I know who I'm addressing."

The girl blinked in surprised at the sudden question, nevertheless she responded "Sonia…" She muttered lowly "My name is Sonia."

"Ah, Sonia the Stalker is it then. How fitting"

Sonia couldn't prevent herself from face planting into the table. If there was ever a moment where where the girl felt like shrinking out of existence, this was it. Euphie giggled, thinking that was enough torture. She decided to get on with her interrogation.

"Jokes aside; I am quite serious as to knowing why have you been following us for some time." Euphie's eyes narrowed dangerously "For your sake, I hope you have a satisfactory answer, otherwise… Well… you're a beautiful and bright young girl. You have your whole life ahead of you; it would absolutely horrible if you were labeled with something as disgusting as stalker now, wouldn't it?"

Sonia didn't say anything, but inwardly she was shaking violently. With her head lowered, she muttered "I have a crush…"

"I'm sorry." Euphie said, straining her eyes "I didn't quite catch that, mind repeating?"

"I have a crush!" Sonia stated a bit louder this time "On...one of the boys that was with you."

"A crush" The tone in Euphemia's voice betrayed no emotion. She maintained her narrowed eyes "And which one of boys, by chance, are you infatuated with?"

Despite the even tone, Sonia caught the bite of protectiveness and challenge(?) oozing from the girl's voice. Nevertheless, she continued "The brunette one, the one with the blue eyes."

Euphie blinked in shock "Geo?!"

Sonia's head snapped up is surprise "Eh, that's his name?!"

Euphie cursed herself for that blunder, while the girl looked down a smile etched on her face "Geo, huh?"

Regaining herself, Euphie coughed, wanting to continue on with this little interrogation "So how long have you had your little eye on Geo?"

"A few weeks now." Sonia replied "I only met him once after helping his baby sister. After that, I didn't see him again." Her shoulders slumped slightly "I was hoping that I would run into him again, and possibly, maybe talk to him. To my surprise and delight, I managed to find him. Walking out of the Babel Tower, with you and, presumably his brother in tow."

"I see…" Euphie put two fingers to her forehead as she hunched over. Suddenly a small laugh broke out, confusing the girl across from her "Sorry, I'm just noting a personal sense of irony right now."

She huffed out a breath, then looked back towards Sonia. Her expression serious again "Okay, let's say… for a second, I believe you. How serious are you with your feelings?"

"Huh?"

"How. Serious. Is. Your. Feelings?" Euphie emphasized "Is this something you're going to be committed to, or is this some passing flight of fancy? Because if it's the latter, then you're crazy if you think I'll…"

Sonia slammed her hands on the stone table "What kind of question is that?! Of course my feelings are serious!"

Euphemia was taken aback by the sudden outburst, and Sonia, realizing what she just did, sat back down "I'm so sorry."

The older pink haired teen waved it off "No, no it's okay. My question DID provoke you." she stood up, in a regal like manner "Well, I've learned all I need to know about you. It was a pleasure meeting you Sonia; we'll be seeing each other again real soon."

Sonia gaped, baffled by the older teens sudden departure "What?! But…"

"Oh don't worry, we're not done here. Trust me on that." Euphie looked back to the stunned teen "When the time comes, I'll find you. Don't worry about how, I have my ways."

With nothing else, Euphie walked away from the still stunned teen. A lot of scenarios were going through her mind at the moment. But one things was for certain...

"Things certainly just got interesting."

Yo guys, I'm back; with the big 1-0 of this drabble series. I know it's been a while; but here it is, another chapter for you guys who have been waiting patiently. But this time, instead of a LelouchxEuphemia one-shot. This time, we focus a bit more Geo's love life; as I introduce you to the love interest of Geovanni.

Oh, but seeing as how it HAS been awhile. Why don't I give you a little bonus, and show just what type of girl has fallen for our little brunette?

As Euphemia left the park and made her way back into the streets of the city. She was going through multiple situations in her mind on how to deal with the little girl she had just finished talking with. Coming to a cross intersection; her mind was snapped out of it's reverie as an Ad Bulletin nearby, came to life.

Looking up at the bulletin, her eyes widened at what was displayed. On the T.V. was a certain familiar thirteen year old girl dressed in a black tailcoat like vest, a yellow tie and pink shorts. She was playing guitar on stage while singing in a beautiful. Soon the advertisers voice covered over the girl playing.

"Check out the new Music Album: Kizuna Wave, by your favorite Pop Artist Sonia Strumm. Coming to local stores near you."

Euphie's mouth opened slightly in shock as she stared at the girl striking a pose in the advertisement. Same fuchsia colored hair, a familiar pair of emerald green eyes. And that same face which, not even five minutes ago, had been full of fear, was now smiling happily on the big screen.

The walk signal came on, and everyone around Euphie started to move. But the pink haired girl remained rooted in her spot; A small icy grin forming.

"Ara, I take back what I said. Things just got REALLY interesting, and a whole lot more easier."

Well, that's all for now folks. For those of who recognize this girl; will be able to tell what AU I made for this story. For those who don't, no worries, let's just say it's one of my personal game of all time.

The Geo/Sonia chapters aren't going to be all that consistent. But if I can, I'll try to put them back to back with each other.

Moving on; again so sorry for the delay you guys. Had to deal with a lot of things at the moment such as school, and not to mention, financial problems going on at home with me and the family. It's so bad, that the wifi is cut off in our house. So I had been relying on this pathetic public wifi, to get these chapters out to you guys, lately.

So yeah, until we get back on our feet. Expect even slower updates; but rest assured I'll be getting them out to you. Now that I've gotten this done, I can focus on my MegaGirl Starforce chapter. Which if I had to be honest, is about 55% done. It's gonna be a long chapter and for good reason too.
