Chapter 10 - Ryou...Attacks!

Sombra paced back and forth. He couldn't believe that bitch had given her brother the golden power. "That power should have been mine in the first place!" he yelled, knocking over a table in his fit of rage.

A shadow appeared behind him before it morphed into a man with bat wings, deranged grey and black hair, wild green eyes, and greyish pale skin that covered a thin body, and Ryou. "My lord, I have the boy you requested." The bat creature said, tossing Ryou to the floor.

Sombra smirked, "Good job Dimitri. Now leave us!" Dimitri bowed, turning back into a shadow and disappeared. Sombra turned his dark eyes to the boy in front of him. "Well now Ryou, I have a mission for you. Fail and you die, refuse and you'll will never see anything ever again. Shame really, those eyes of yours are such jewels," he said, lifting the boys chin to looking into scared eyes.

Ryou nodded against the hand and stuttered back, "I-I-I'll do what you ask of me, King Black."

Sombra smirked, "Good, now I want you to use your powers and bring Yugi here. I'll crush him and gain that power of his sister's once and for all."

Ryou paled, he couldn't do that, but he couldn't not obey. He didn't want to die, but he didn't want to endanger his friend. He gulped and said, hating himself for saying this as he hanged his head, "I'll bring him in your highness."

Sombra laughed darkly, "Excellent, but to make sure you are actually obeying me and not that winch, I'll just shove this crystal into you." He pulled out a black crystal from nowhere and shoved it into Ryou's chest. The boy screamed when the black crystal burned his skin as it melted into his body, filling the boy with dark magic.

When the crystal was fully embedded into Ryou's chest, black had filled the white of his eye, barely making the brown iris visible. "I'll do as my master says." Ryou said in a demonic voice, as he gave a proper bow to his dark king.

"Excellent. Now go find that brat and bring him in, now!" the King Black demanded, pointing to a closed window. Ryou nodded and as quick as he could, flew out the window, ignoring the shards of glass cutting his skin as he broke the window. Black laughed darkly as the glass broke on the ground, he will have the golden power one way or another.

-The streets of Domino-

Silver Fang ran as fast as she could, carrying her charge towards their destination, The Game Shop. Yugi needed his cards, and she was going to make sure he had them.

They were almost there, the green roof of the store was in sight. Something passed by Yugi's right, he looked but saw nothing. "Silver Fang stop! I don't think we're alone."

Silver Fang came to a stop, only five feet away from the game shop. She looked, but found nothing.

Swoop!

They looked to their left, but nothing was there.

Swoop!

They looked to their right, but nothing was there again. Atem and Yami stood by his side while Mahad and Mana took the rear. "Something is here. I can hear something." Silver Fang said as she carefully walked closer to the shop.

Yugi agreed as he got off and pulled out the samurai sword. "Everyone keep their guard up, we don't know what our enemy could have sent out to get us," he said as he opened the door. He looked in, but saw nothing. He gulped and took a step back, he was afraid to go back in. He didn't want to see his dead grandpa again.

Sensing their lover's discomfort, Atem took over Yugi's body and made the two go back into the puzzle. "Don't worry Yugi, I know the box you're talking about. I'll get the cards from the storage unit," he said to the puzzle. Inside Yugi sighed and let Yami hold him.

Atem went to the back of the store and into the storage unit. He nearly gagged at the smell of decomposed body. He pulled out a rag he took from Joey and wrapped it around his face to cover his nose and mouth before going completely in. It was still the same, he looked to the middle of the room and saw Grandpa still there. His eyes sadden at the sight, he still couldn't believe that sweet old man was gone.

He sighed and looked around for the box, finding it in the corner next to the door. He used the box cutter that was conveniently sitting on top of the box and opened it. He pulled out a every card sleeve and filled the backpack with as many as he could.

"I hope they're some good ones in here, we'll need every card we can get." Atem said, standing up from his crouched position.

"Let's find your decks and get out of here, I'm getting a bad feeling." Mana said, rubbing her arms after she had a cold chill. Atem nodded, giving one last looked to the man before rushed out of the storage room and upstairs. He carefully avoided each hole and made it carefully to Yugi's bed room, calling his lovers to come out.

Yami came out holding tightly to Yugi and asked, "Did you get enough from the storage unit?"

Atem nodded, "The box was in the corner and look, there's our deck." He walked over to the desk and took hold of the golden box that once held his puzzle. He opened it up, smiling as he looked at the cards, all three decks were safe in there.

"Then let's get out of here before something get us." Yugi said, changing places with Atem and placed the box into his backpack.

"Yugi you sure you can handle this?" Yami asked, laying a hand on the boy's shoulder.

Yugi nodded, "I know I can, just as long as I don't go back to the storage unit." He walked out and was about to go down the stairs when something crashed into his room. He looked behind him and saw a fire growing on the floor. Another crash came from Yami's and Atem's room before another sound like it came from Grandpa's.

"YUGI! SOMEONE'S TRYING TO BURN US ALIVE!" Mana yelled up to the boy. Yugi ran down the stairs as another fire ball came into his room. Mahad and Mana were trying to keep a fire that started in the kitchen down, but the blaze would not stop.

"Forget about it! This place is going to burn down completely this time! We need to go!" Yugi yelled, the two magicians nodded and all four rushed out of the house/shop, with Yugi ridding on Silver Fangs back. They looked back to the house once they were outside on the street, they stood there as they watched the Game Shop burned to the ground.

Atem and Yami held their lover as he cried he heart out, losing another part of him with that fire. Yami convince everyone that now was a good time to leave.

"Leaving so soon?!"

They all stopped and gasped as Ryou stood before them. "Ryou! You're okay!" Yugi said, he was about to run to his friend when he notice the dark, twisted look in Ryou's eyes. "You-You're not Ryou."

Ryou tsked, "Of course I am, but I just got a dose of darkness in me." The dark crystal pulse with a dark light as two wings, one angle, one demon, popped out from his back. "I'm here for you Yugi."

Yami and Atem stood in front of Yugi while Mahad and Mana stood in front of them. "Why do you want with him Ryou!" Mahad demanded.

"It's not me who wants him, it's my master, King Sombra Black who does." Ryou said, daring to walk closer to the object of his mission.

"And just who is that?!" Yami asked as Silver Fang stepped backwards to keep Yugi away.

"Oh just the ruler of the world. He's a great guy, he turned me into this creature. I sort of look like the 'change of heart' card I love so much." Ryou said, before stopping a foot away from Mahad and Mana. "Now come with me Yugi, so my master can have that power inside you."

"No! You're not getting me or my power. I will not fall into that man's hands!" Yugi yelled, getting off Silver Fang and changing into the white wolf. He growled as he stood next to Silver Fang.

Ryou laughed darkly, "You really thing you can defeat me? A half angle and demon? That's rich. Fine if you think you can handle this bull by the horn, then bring it!" He charged forward at superhuman speed and kicked a shocked Mana back into a building next to them.

Mahad swung his staff at the boy, Ryou dodge and tried to punch the magician. Mahad dodged the swing to his face and punched Ryou back. He summoned his magic and launched a ball of magic at his opponent.

It hit Ryou, but he managed to keep if from damaging him and he held it in his hands. He ran at the shocked magician and delivered a painful punch with the ball of magic. Mahad flew back a ways, skidding to a stop on the pavement.

Silver Fang growled before she charged at the half demon. "Oh please." Ryou said, he grabbed the wolf by her throat and tossed her into Mana, knocking them into the building. Mana was out cold, Silver Fang couldn't move, and Mahad was struggling to get up.

Ryou turned to him, "Well, we have one left before I can claim my prize! How do you want to die?" he asked as a wicked and crooked smile appeared on his face and his left eye twitched. The dark crystal glowing brightly as it filled his being with strength and dark magic.

/That's must be what's fulling him! The dark crystal!/ Yugi said threw the mindlink.

/Are you sure Aibou?/ Yami asked as he watch Ryou attack Mahad again.

/Yes, that stone glows every time he powers up. That's his source of his power, if we can take it out, we might get our friend back./ Yugi said as Ryou charged black magic into his hand and ran at the down magician. He formed a dark ball of energy and released it towards Mahad.

The Dark Magician rolled to the side to avoid the ball of black energy and quickly got back up. He swung his staff and kicked at the boy, but each time was dodge by Ryou. He moved fast and was able to kick the magician when he had an opening. He grabbed Mahad's arm and swung the man to the build Mana and Silver Fang were. Mahad hit a brick wall, he was knocked out in an instance.

"How sad, the great Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl were easily defeated by me. At least I can finish my mission in peace now." Ryou said before turning to the shocked and somewhat scared Yugi. Yami and Atem stood before him, but Ryou just huffed and disappeared.

"Where did he go?!" Atem asked as the three looked around for the British boy. They didn't have long to wait, Ryou appeared behind Atem and tossed the ex-pharaoh away from his lovers.

"ATEM!" Yami yelled, but gasped when Ryou was in front of him. Ryou grabbed him by the neck and punch his face before tossing him into a tree near by.

Yugi jumped away. "Yami! Atem!" he yelled and watched as Ryou made his way towards him.

"Just surrender Yugi. I'm stronger, you don't stand a chance." Ryou said, glaring at the wolf before him.

Yugi growled, "NO! I won't give up! I will save you, I will save my sister, and I. WILL. SAVE THE WORLD!" He rushed at his friend, claws glowing. "Golden Claw!"

Ryou dodge the claws and grabbed one of Yugi's wings. "I don't think so!" He picked Yugi up and spun him around before tossing him into the air. He flew up and punched the wolf higher, Yugi couldn't get a chance to make any move as more punches and kicks hit him.

Atem got up and looked to see Yugi in trouble. "I got to help him, but what?!"

/You need some help?/ Atem looked around and saw no one around. Sapphire giggled, /I'm here to help you two as well. I give you some of my light magic so you can merge with Yugi as one and summon a very powerful weapon/

/And what is that?/ He asked.

-In the sky-

Yugi finally was able to break away and get a few hits in, but not much. He was panting heavily as they stayed in the air. Ryou smirked, "You can't win! You don't have complete control of those powers. I'm still wondering how you were still able to defeat Sombra's shadow, must have been dumb luck."

"No! I was able defeat him with my sister's help! With the magic she gave me, I will save you Ryou!" Yugi said, his wings filled with light before fire flew out of them. "Fire wing!"

Ryou was able to dodge one batch of the white fire, but he didn't see that Yugi was charging after it. "Golden claw!" he yelled, clawing at the Brit's chest, trying to get that crystal out.

Ryou flapped his wings and flew backwards to get away from him. "I won't let you defeat me, you got lucky but not anymore!" He focused on the power of the crystal, gather up a huge amount of dark energy when...

Crack!

An arrow of white light pierced the crystal. Ryou looked down to see the dark crystal started form to cracks. He looked down to the ground to see where the arrow came from, losing the dark energy he was building up. Yugi looked too and saw Atem standing on the ground with a bow of gold in his hand, pointing another white light arrow at Ryou.

"YOU!" Ryou yelled.

"Me! RA'S ARROW!" Atem yelled as he fired another arrow. Ryou tried to fly away but something was wrong with his wings. He looked behind and saw a light holding him. He looked to Yugi and saw his eyes have gone white.

"Blinding hold." Yugi whispered, holding the boy down with his magic. The arrow pierced the crystal again and shattered it to pieces.

Ryou screamed at the top of his lungs as the light magic drove out all the dark magic. It all few out of his mouth in a black mass before landing onto the ground in a thud. Atem quickly pulled out another arrow and fired at the mass. "YUGI! USE YOUR FIRE WING TO FINISH THE REST!" he yelled as the mass was pinned down by the arrow.

Yugi nodded, placed Ryou's now unconscious body next to Atem as his wing grew bright. "Fire wing!" He charged at the black mass as the fire build up in his wings. He started to spin, setting himself on fire, and crashed into the mass. The whole thing burned away in the fire, leaving only Yugi behind, safe, as the fires died.

Atem checked on Ryou, and found only a mark was left on the boy's chest. He still had the wings, but other then that he looked okay. Yami sat up as Yugi rushed to his side. "I'll be okay," he said, taking Yugi's hand when the boy offered and got up.

Atem walked over, carrying Ryou in his arms. "Is he okay?" Yugi asked, carefully checking the boy out himself.

Atem nodded, "He's out cold right now and he's got a mark where that crystal was, but he looks to be fine other wise."

"I wonder what this King Black has done to him? He's got wings now." Yami said carefully picking up the feathery wing.

"I'm sure we'll find out soon, but we need to get back to Kaiba corp. before more monster appear." Yugi said, just as Mana and Mahad got out with a surprised friend. "Mystical Elf!"

Mystical Elf smiled and said in a hushed voice, "Hello Master Yugi, Pharaoh Atem, Pharaoh Yami."

"What are you doing here?" Yami asked.

"I was forced to come here by the one who started this all. I tried to find you three so I could help, and it's a good thing I did." Mystical Elf said, looking to Mahad and Mana. Mahad was holding Silver Fang until she jumped out of his arms and rushed to Yugi's side.

"She healed us all up." Mana said.

"Are you okay, Yugi?" Mahad asked.

Yugi nodded as Silver Fang jumped onto his shoulders and lick his face. "I'm so sorry Yugi! I tried and I failed!" she said, whimpering a bit.

Yugi got her down and patted her head. "You did your best, that's all I ask of you, all of you," he said, before turning to the elf. "Mystical Elf can you heal Ryou as well?"

Mystical Elf looked to the boy and quickly checked him, "I can, but I can't do anything about his new appearance. That was caused by something else."

"We'll find out later, let's get out of here now." Yami said. Everyone agreed, Mahad took Ryou into his arms while Mystical Elf got onto Silver Fang. Yugi changed back into his wolf form as Atem and Yami stayed by his side. He rushed off, leading everyone back to Kaiba Corp.

Sapphire: Trust me, I didn't want to do that to Ryou!

Ashley: I wonder if anyone will scream at you for hurting him like that.

Sapphire: He's free though!

Crystal: But still has the wings.

Sapphire: He'll need them later, trust me. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and review. Night!
