Chapter 10

Mai's P.O.V.

Once I opened my eyes I asked myself 'Where am I?' I looked to my left and saw Naru there sleeping next to me. What happened? All I remember is breaking his arm and crying on Naru, the rest is blank. Out of the corner of my eye I see Naru waking up. I turn to him as he says "oh you're up". "Yeah what happened yesterday?" I asked wanting to know. "Well after crying on me you feel asleep, I didn't know where you live so I brought you here" was his simple response. "Well thank you for the help, but I have to go home and do some thing's" I said getting up and leaving his grasp.

"Wait I needed to ask you something" he said getting up. "What is it?" I asked. "It's about your ex-boyfriend, he told us how you both meet and broke up, he also mentioned that you both 'did it'" he said empathizing on the did it. "Yes we did and he was my first" I said about to walk out the door. "Wait. Mai" he said holding my shoulder back. "What now?" I asked facing him. "Meet back at base to get your things" he said but it didn't seem like that's what he wanted to tell me.

But not paying much attention to it I walked out the door and walk to my house witch wasn't too far. When I opened the door to my house I was so tired so I decided to take a shower. Once my shower was over I changed into some knee long brown shorts and a dark blue plain shirt with some black shoes. I looked at the clock and saw it was 3:00 p.m. it's getting late I thought. I decided to rush over to the S.P.R. building get my things then I could spend the rest of the day working at the café. I need to make up all the days I missed for being at the case.

While I was walking to the building I began to think. They'll probably want me to answer the question of me staying or I could stay with my old jobs or S.P.R. now don't get me wrong there my family, but the café and night club became my homes. Yuki and Ren they're like my big brothers that are over protective. This is confusing I don't know what to do. By then I already made it and was opening the door. I stepped in to see the whole gang there talking and having fun. 'If I were gone I don't think it would make a difference, they look so happy without me' I thought. But..it made me sad for some reason.

"Mai is something wrong?" asked Monk. "No nothing at all" I said while walking past them to my things. "Well I'll be going now" I said about to walk out until a voice stops me. "Mai you are staying with us right?" asked a hopeful Yasu. "Well…um..I don't know, I mean don't get me wrong you guys are my family, but the night club and café also became my family and I can't just throw them away like they were nothing" I said hoping they would understand. "Mai can't you just work for all three?" said Naru.

"Well…I guess I could" I said thinking of a schedule. In the mornings at 7:00 I could work at the restaurant for 5 hours, then I'd have to rush to the S.P.R.R. building at 12:00 and stay there for 6 hours then at 6:10 I'd sing, dance, and tend to customers till 10:00 or somewhere around there. "I can do that" I said accidentally aloud. "So you'll stay with us?" asked Ayako. "Yeah but only noon till 6:00, due to the fact I still have to work at my other two jobs." I said

That's going to be tiring I thought. Now I'm sorry but I need to go and make up for the time I've been gone at the café" I said walking out the door. Once I got to the café I was greeted by Yuki who was very happy to see me and hugged me to death. "I'm going to change now" said walking in the 'Employee's Only Room'. It didn't take long to change in to the maid outfit so I walked out in less than 2 minutes. I saw Yuki tend to a customer and then the bell rang that signaled a customer came. I bowed my head and said "Welcome I'm Mai Taniyama I shall be your waitress". I looked up to see Kai. "Hi" he said with a smile. "Hey" was all I said.

He then chuckled lightly. I then showed him to his table, and he sat down. "Mai" he said looking serious. "I need to tell you something and I want you to hear and believe every word I tell you" he said begging. "For some reason this got to me and I sat down and said "Ok I'll listen". The noon was going slow anyways. "Mai that day what you saw it wasn't true let me tell you how it went. I was walking out the room to go meet with you at the park but Hiyami kept asking me questions and holding on my hand and I got mad and yelled at her. She looked like she was about to cry so I felt bad. I asked her what I could do to make it up to her, then she just kissed me, and that's when you came and saw that. Mai believe me. When you didn't even look my way it broke my heart." He said almost wanting to cry.

For some reason I hugged him and said I forgive you and started crying. It sorta felt wrong but I paid no attention to it. "Mai don't cry, it doesn't suit you" he said. I was looking straight at his lips and we got closer and closer to each other until our lips brushed slightly. I snapped out of it and said "Kai I'm so sorry I didn't mean to –" I was cut off by him saying "I don't mind" we then kissed for a small time until he licked my lips wanting an entrance. I gladly let him, he was so passionate, yet rough. "Mai we serve our customers not make out with them" said Yuki all of a sudden.

I pulled away from Kai and had a pinkish blush across my face. "I'm sorry I'll get to work now" I said embarrassed. "I was playing with you Mai, I'm closing up shop you see when you were gone we had so many customers so we made enough money to upgrade this place, so hopefully it will attract more people. We will open up again in 2 to 3 weeks" he said. "Ok" I'll go get changed" was my only response before going. Once I stepped out I saw that Kai was still there. "Mai I'd like to ask you something" he said once again. "What is it?" I asked. "Will you be mine once again" he said almost blushing. "Kai if you don't mind can we start all over again and then we may see, ok?" I said softly. "That sounds best" he said with a smile.

"Ok let's go" I said. "Bye Yuki I'll see you later" I said opening the door. "Bye Mai take care of yourself" he said. "Same to you" I said walking out the door along with Kai. "Mai..um..if you don't…um…mind can I say with you for a week? You see I just recently lost my house and my job building burned down so I have no where" he said looking a bit down. "Sure you can, but I don't have an extra room for you to sleep in, but since I trust you, you can sleep with me" I said. Once we got home I showed him around and by then it was 8:00. I yawned and said "I'm feeling tired.

Kai's P.O.V.

"I'm feeling tired" was all she said before almost falling to the ground, before I cached her. I guess she had a rough day I carried her bridal style to her room. Almost instantly she rapped her arms around my neck snuggling closer to me. Mai you're still the same I thought with a small smile. I then got in bed with her and made myself in a comfortable position for both of us and soon fell asleep.

~Time Skip~ (to morning way~)

Mai's P.O.V.

I woke up to the morning birds and saw that Kai was peacefully asleep with an arm around me. I decided to get up quietly and shower. Once I was done I put on a black tank top and a dark blue mini skirt. I stepped out to see Kai waking up. "Morning" I said cheerfully at him. "Good Morning" he said with a smile. "I'll go make breakfast and you go shower" I said to him. "Ok" was all he said before walking in the bathroom. I decided to make eggs and bacon with some toast and orange juice. It didn't take too long to make so I was done in 16 minutes. By then Kai was done and now sitting on the table eating.

"Mai you're an amazing cook" said Kai eating a lot. "Thank you" I said with a giggle at how much he was eating. Once we both finished eating I said "I'm going to S.P.R. and work". He answered with a "Ok, and I'll go look for a job". "Ok then meet me and the club at night so then we can head home around 10:00" I said. "Ok" we both walked out the door but in separate directions. While walking to S.P.R. I was thinking of my schedule since the café is being remodeled I have more time for S.P.R. and the club. Since the club is a night club it doesn't open until 6:00 and the office doesn't open until 7:40. So I'll be at the S.P.R. building for 8 hours, then at the club helping setting things up until it opens. So I'll be at the club for 7 hours or more depending.

I walked up to the building and twisted the door knob opening the door. It's quite so Naru and Lin should be the only one's here. Naru walks out of his office and sees me "Aren't you supposed to be working at one of your other jobs?" he asked me. "Yeah, but their remodeling the place for 3 to 4 weeks. So I can come here in the mornings but I'll have to leave early" was my plain response. He then nodded in response and simply said "tea" while walking away. I walked to the kitchen and started boiling water. I've been tolerating it, but in the future I just might lose it. When I was done I poured it in a cup and walked to Naru's office.

I opened the door and set the tea on the table. " Mai have you ever heard of knocking" he said. "Have you ever heard of manner's" I said coldly. "There better than your you ass!" I yelled at him all of a sudden gripping his shirt. I quickly let go once I realized what I did. I'm so sorry Naru!" I said almost in tears. He walked up to me wanting to comfort me, but I rejected it. "Sorry Naru I want to be alone for a while I'll be back later in the day" I said walking out of the room and out the building. I found myself in a park, so I sat down on a bench. I pulled out a piece of paper and found a pencil on the ground (what luck right) and began to write a song humming then making lyrics. It took 1 hour for that song, but it was perfect. By now I was calmed down so I decided to go back to base.
