"How did you find this place, it's not possible" Naraku said, Inuyasha just looked at the black haired demon that wore a white furred robe and smirked again.
"Oh that was easy"
"So Kagura told you where the castle is", he figured she wasn't trustworthy.
"No, I followed the trail that Kagome left" Inuyasha said staring at the demon in front of him. "Kagura didn't have to tell me".
"What trail?"
"I made Kagome what she is now, everywhere she goes she leaves a trail of my magic all I had to do is follow it, and as for getting through your barrier I just used some blood from your minion to create a cloaking spell that tricked the barrier into thinking I was her", Inuyasha smiled knowing he had outsmarted him.
"I see, you're much more clever than I an anticipated, but no matter" Naraku smirked believing he still had the upper hand, "Since you decided to come all this way we can discuss are business in person".
"We don't have business" Inuyasha said now glaring.
"Don't you wish to have your little magic experiment back", Inuyasha growled lowly at that comment.
"Kagome is not an experiment and if you say that again, your death will be even more painful than I plan on making it".
"Don't get cocky, you're in my castle and I hold all the cards here!", Naraku laughed while Inuyasha just looked unamused.
"Do you really think I just waltzed in here without a plan" it was Inuyasha's turn to laugh while Naraku looked confused.
"What are you talking", he was suddenly cut off as a pillar of earth and stone broke through the floor slamming into the evil demon's stomach hard. Naraku gasped in choked from the direct hit to his midsection; he didn't get a chance to recover as the pillar launched him through the ceiling and out into the air to come landing in the dirt outside the castle. Inuyasha strolled out the door to where he landed while Naraku glared at the half demon that dared attack him.
"You fool your pathetic magic is no match against me and my dark magic!" A dark glow surrounded the demon as he prepared to release his miasma; he grew more enraged when Inuyasha just smirked at him.
"You might want to look where your standing", Naraku looked down to see he was standing in the middle of a magic circle and array carved into the ground, the ancient symbols for water and ice began to glow trapping him in place, "I had enough time to prepare this just for you, Glacies Loculo!". Ice began to encase Naraku, covering him from head to toe in a frozen prison. All that was left was an ice pillar with the demon's shocked and immobilized form within.
"Never underestimate me asshole!", Inuyasha left his enemy there and went back inside to get Kagome. He came to a room with a barred cell and sitting in the corner was his cat girl that he knew and loved.
"You got yourself into a bit of trouble haven't you Kagome", the girl's head snapped up to Inuyasha standing on the other side of the bars looking at her.
"Inuyasha, I knew you would come", she started crying tears of joy.
"Hey stop crying your safe now!"
"I'm just happy to see you" she said wiping her face.
"Stand back", he commanded as he pulled out the tetsusaiga, Kagome stepped back as far as she could and he used the large sword to cut through the bars. As soon as she was free she ran over and hugged him. Inuyasha happily hugged her back and realized how worried he really was underneath all that previous rage.
"Alright let's get the hell out of here", they headed outside and walked past the frozen prison, Inuyasha smirked seeing Naraku was still trapped in the ice. As they were about to leave Inuyasha heard a cracking sound coming from behind. The ice tomb was slowly cracking apart from a purple glow coming from the demon within before completely shattering.
"Perhaps you're the one underestimating me" the now freed Naraku said with an evil smirk.
"Kagome get back now", as soon as she did Naraku decided to make his move. He threw out a circular insect hive that upon bursting sent out a small swarm of demonic wasps with poisonous stingers aimed directly at the dog eared half demon.
Inuyasha stared at the oncoming swarm and just focused some of his magic on the air around him, causing the insects to burst into flames before they reached him. Naraku looked annoyed that his wasps were turned to ashes by Inuyasha who didn't even flinch.
Inuyasha quickly waved his hand in a circular motion drawing a white glowing circle in front of him while muttering several enchantments. Naraku braced himself for another attack, but didn't notice another glowing circle appearing in the sky above him.
"Ira In Caelum", Inuyasha's spell caused dozens of white spears to shoot out of the circle in the sky towards Naraku. The demon managed to dodge them but one managed to graze his leg causing him to collapse in pain.
"Damn you!"
"It's over", Inuyasha waved his hand and sent another volley of light spears at Naraku. At the last second the demon created a black dome that shielded him from the attack. Naraku laughed as he managed to stand up keeping weight off his injured leg.
"Try this you wretched half breed!", Naraku tossed a wooden doll out that transformed into a life size figure of himself wearing a white baboon fur cloak and mask. "Ha, what do you think of my demon puppet?"
"Seems a little narcissistic to me", Inuyasha taunted when he noticed the puppet was just a copy of his enemy.
"Kill him!" The puppet charged at him pulling out a sword to slash him. Inuyasha easily dodged the attacks and started grow annoyed and disgusted that this demon was so arrogant over casting such pathetic and flimsy dark magic. He didn't even have to use his own magic on such a poorly crafted demon puppet, just a vertical slash with his claws and it was reduced to a shredded wooden doll.
"I thought you were a sorcerer of dark magic Naraku, have you ever fought someone else that wields magic", seeing the look of shock on his opponents face told him everything, "Oh I see, you never tested your abilities on anyone who uses magic, you just use your power to toy with the powerless, how pathetic, your just a novice who thinks he is skilled".
"How dare you!"
"Let me show you the difference between a master and a novice", Inuyasha pulled his right sleeve back and pointed his closed fist at Naraku. What was once the bare skin of his arm, now a tattoo of a black and red dragon appeared, the tattoo pulsed with raw magic and power. Kagome watched from a distance in awe at the energy coming from Inuyasha. The dragon tattoo appeared to come to life almost like it was becoming one with his arm with his hand sticking out of the serpent beast's mouth.
"This is the strongest fire spell, I've never used it in battle because I thought that no one deserved such a death like this", Inuyasha's fist glowed red as the earth began to shake, Naraku could only stare in horror as the half demon's dragon arm and red fist was aimed at him, never before had he seen such magic. "However I've decided that a scum bag like you deserves every bit of this!"
"Infernum Silentio", Inuyasha opened his hand releasing the spell, all that was seen by any body was a flash of red and it was over. In a straight path directly in front of Inuyasha was nothing but scorched earth. The parts of the castle in the path were not just burned away, they were completely vaporized, and making it look like they were cleanly cut away. A cloud of dust dispersed around Naraku revealing the state he was in, his entire left arm was destroyed along with his shoulder and a good chunk of his torso. The demon didn't make a sound nor did the expression of shock and terror change as he fell on the ground backwards.
"I missed, oh well it's kind of tricky sometimes", Inuyasha was lightly sweating even though he executed that spell flawlessly it still took a bit out of him. It didn't matter if he was aiming to wipe his enemy way completely and it missed, it still made contact with Naraku and apparently killed him from what he saw.
"That was amazing!" Kagome said coming over to him.
"Thanks Kagome", Inuyasha had to quickly compose himself so as not to worry her.
"Is it over?", she asked Inuyasha looked over at Naraku's fallen body seeing it had not moved.
"Yeah it's over", his relief was short lived as he noticed the body began to glow a dark purple. The demons body began to convulse as multiple tentacles and other insect-like appendages began to emerge out of the large wound where his arm and part of his torso were blown away.
"This isn't over not by a long shot!", Naraku's legs crumbled away and were replaced by a large mass of squirming fleshly tendrils. His new form towered over the couple as a huge monstrous mass of demon parts with what was left of villain's human appearance at the top; his chest, right arm and head.
"I guess a maggot is a lot harder to kill than I thought", Inuyasha said while contemplating his options and realized he had already used up almost all of his magic. 'This isn't good, how the hell can I protect Kagome now', he thought, surprising himself that Kagome's safety was more important in his mind than defeating his enemy. It was then that he felt a sudden pulse from the sword at his waist as if it was calling to him.
"Laugh all you want, but I know that after that last attack you have nothing left", Naraku laughed believing he had won while Inuyasha pulled out the tetsusaiga trying to figure what the sword was conveying to him. "Now tell me the secret to that girl or you both die!"
"No, I will never tell you anything and I will never let you lay a hand on her!" , Naraku had his tentacles try to attack Inuyasha and Kagome, but the half demon stood his ground with his woman behind him. "Alright tetsusaiga, I'm not sure what your trying to tell me, but I'll listen", Inuyasha lifted the sword up in the air and following the instincts of the weapon swung it down not entirely sure what was about to happen, but with complete faith in his father's blade.
What happened surprised everyone even Inuyasha as a torrent of demonic power burst worth from the blade shredding the oncoming tentacles and going on towards the rest of Naraku. The demon could only watch as his massive body was torn apart and he himself painfully fell to the ground along with chunks of his flesh. Gathering up what few body parts he could, Naraku fled in a cloud of demonic miasma, dissipating the barrier around his now ruin castle and escaping into the clouds.
The area was suddenly quiet and almost peaceful with the disappearance of the evil presence. Inuyasha looked at the ground where his enemy once stood and stared in awe at the huge four gashes in the earth.
"Wow" was all he could say.
"How did you do that Inuyasha?", Kagome said having recovered from the shock.
"I don't know, I think the sword did most of it", Inuyasha looked towards the sky, Naraku had escaped severely wounded, but Inuyasha had won this round. Next time he would be better prepared now that he had an idea of what he was up against. "Let's go back to the others".
"Alright, hey who was that demon slayer woman anyway?" Kagome asked like the curious cat she was.
"Her name is Sango and I believe she has an apology waiting for us".
The two of them made their way back to the camp just as the sun was rising, like Inuyasha promised he managed to get Kagome back before dawn. Miroku, Shippo and Sango immediately started asking questions when the couple appeared.
"Are you two alright?" Miroku asked.
"Is Kagome okay?" Shippo asked.
"What happened?" Miroku asked.
"Did you kill Naraku?" was the only question out of the demon slayer's mouth.
"Okay yes we are alright and yes Kagome is okay", Inuyasha started out with the first two questions, "As for what happened I kicked Naraku's ass, and no Sango he ran away before I could kill him, though don't worry we'll probably see him again, but not for a while after what I did to him". Kagome then went off on all the amazing magic he performed including the mysterious attack he used with the tetsusaiga.
"Can you guys take care of your selves for the day?" Inuyasha said facing away from the group.
"Yes, why what's wrong?" the monk asked worried about the tone of voice the half demon was using.
"Good" Inuyasha suddenly fell forward on to the grass out cold.
"Inuyasha!" , Kagome ran over to her fallen love and flipped him over to see what was wrong with him and check for any wounds, "He's not hurt is he?"
"Let me take a look", Miroku examined him and determined that Inuyasha collapsed from exhaustion. "We just have to let him rest Kagome and he will be fine".
"From what you told us it sounds like he used up almost all his magic", Sango commented. Kagome nodded in agreement and reached into Inuyasha's magical bag for the blanket she knew he carried. Pulling it out she spread it over the grass and laid the unconscious Inuyasha on it before lying down next to him, curling up to his side and wrapping her arms around his chest for comfort.
The others left the two be and sat around the camp quietly to let the couple rest in place.
"Those two really love each other don't they?" Sango whispered to the other two of the group while Kirara sat on her lap.
"Yes they do, Shippo and I picked up on that as well when we met them", Miroku commented with a smile.
Sorry for the wait, but I decided to go back and rewrite this whole chapter because I didn't want Inuyasha too over powered. By the way I feel I should tell people even though I haven't addressed it, but as I wrote in the early chapters Inuyasha wears his firerat robe with a black robe and hood over it. He used to be a sort of sorcerer recluse so he wore the hood up always, but after the time he has spent with Kagome and the others he has learned to be more open and thus wears the hood down now, just thought I would mention it since I keep forgetting to put that in somewhere.
Ira in caelum is latin for Wrath of the sky, glacies Loculo means ice coffin, and Infernum Silentio means Hell's Whisper(I love this one). I tried to be more original with the magic stuff and not just steal from bleach kido.
I'm thinking of Introducing Koga into this a few chapters from now, oh I have so much fun planned for that let's say three chapters from now, maybe less who knows.
Here's a fun fact in my original short story that I based this from it takes place in the present modern times.
Until Next time thank you for reading, peace.
