Chapter 10.
(Rating: OT. Older Teen, 16+)
He swallowed as fear started to rise within him. His cheeks colored red even if he didn't see her just yet. His hands were clammy and cold sweat had settled between his fingers. Krillin could feel his heart pound in his chest, it wasn't a good feeling the way his nerves were about to overtake him.
Scrambling to collect the last bit of courage he possessed, he closed the distance between him and the couch where Eighteen was seated. His determination, how great it may have been at one point, diminished a little with every step he took until he was right behind her.
Krillin thought his heart would burst out of his chest as he walked around to come to a stop in front of the cyborg who was reading a fashion magazine and didn't bat an eyelid, did not look up in greeting even if she knew he was there.
His hands were trembling so badly that he fumbled to get the gift out of his pocket, eventually he gave up, getting stuck, he mumbled softly under his breath. Eighteen finally looked up at him in question. He stared at her before averting his gaze with a small smile as he started to leave, disappointment radiating off him.
Suddenly, Eighteen closed her magazine and huffed closing her eyes momentarily as she stood up.
"Krillin..."
Krillin turned to face her but her back was turned towards him, she kept her position for a few more moments before turning around and throwing something at him. He caught the small object with ease in his raised hand. He opened his fist to find a simple necklace which had a small surfboard pendant attached to it.
"Happy Valentine's Day." Eighteen said quietly while approaching him.
Krillin's eyed widened as he looked up at her.
"E...eighteen.."
"Why are you avoiding me?"
"I'm not avoiding y.."
"Then why are you so distant? This has been going on for almost two weeks. It looks as if you're doubting maybe...about us...about me."
Eighteen sighed, nothing escaped her, she could tell something was up but were her assumptions right?
"E..eighteen.."
"Look, if you don't want to be with me, just say so. It's easy, just say 'I'm not in love with you anymore'. But before you do that, please take in consideration that...Krillin, I am...with you."
Krillin felt his cheeks warm up as a blush spread over his face. He looked at her.
"Eighteen...I can't do that, I can't say that."
"And why is that, baldy?" Krillin shook his head at her use of his old and incorrect nickname. Then he flashed her a bright smile as he reached into his pocket a second time. Taking out the small white box, he opened it and took out its contents, a small diamond heart no bigger than a pendant and carefully handed it to the cyborg.
"Because I give you my heart. You can break, crush, and stab it and I wouldn't care because I'd still love you. Happy Valentine's Day."
"Krillin..."
Eighteen eyed the small heart as she mulled his words over in his mind. She blamed herself for doubting him, for doubting his feelings for her. Her heart was racing in her chest before she willed herself to calm down. She closed the small distance between them and grabbed Krillin's hands, squeezing them softly before letting go of one so she could touch his face.
They met in the middle, softly pressing their mouths together in a sweet kiss. Eighteen gave into all the different sensations she felt while Krillin was softly stroking her hair before touching her face and caressing her neck lovingly. She stole a few slow nips before breaking apart. She pulled him down onto the couch with her and they sat next to each other in silence for quite a while, both taken aback by what just had happened.
After a while, Krillin broke the silence with a soft whisper into Eighteen's ear.
"Would you rather eat out or stay at home?"
"Out." She whispered equally soft. They rose together, Eighteen took a hold of his hand and led him upstairs to her room. Krillin blushed bright red when she seated him on her bed, kissing his cheek softly before taking off her top and jeans in front of him. She grabbed a black dress from her closet, she had bought it a while back but never wore it. She carefully put it on. When she was dressed she turned back towards Krillin who was blushing redder than his shirt and was fidgeting. He had not expected to see that.
Without a word, Eighteen pulled him up from the bed by his hand and led him to the window, together they ascended in the air.
Not far from Kame Island was an island that was famous for its fine restaurants and top notch hotels. They had decided to land there and look for a nice quiet restaurant that wasn't too busy. However since it was Valentine's Day, most places were pretty crowded. They kept walking hand in hand until stopping in front of a tall white building. Once inside they discovered it was not busy at all, there were just a few people.
'This is perfect.' Krillin thought to himself, aware that Eighteen did not like crowded places.
A host led them to their table on the second floor terrace, it was in a corner partially hidden behind a fence which was covered in ivy. The table itself was elegant, made of oak and covered with a red tablecloth that had white accents on the corners, no doubt it was specially made for Valentine's Day. The glasses and plates seemed to be made of crystal. They sat down opposite each other.
A waiter arrived quickly, handing them their menu cards before taking a pencil from behind his ear and opening a small notepad.
"What would you like to drink?"
"Champagne please." Krillin replied.
"Alright. Are you ready to order perhaps?"
Krillin thought for a moment as he eyed the menu in front of him. Eighteen was doing the same. He spotted something that would suit both of them and gave Eighteen a questioning look as he showed her. She nodded her approval.
"Yes, we'll have the Valentine's Day special please." He said with a small smile. The waiter noted it down and excused himself, telling them he would be back shortly with their order.
Meanwhile, Krillin couldn't help but get a little nervous even if there really was no reason for him to be. But it was his first Valentine's Day with someone and it couldn't be denied that that someone was a very beautiful young woman. He considered himself very lucky as he observed Eighteen, still not entirely believing that this was real, this was really happening, she was with him.
Eighteen, who noticed her boyfriend's slight change in behavior, smiled slightly before resting her hand atop his, stroking it gently as to reassure him. Krillin smiled in surprise before smirking and doing the same but with his foot on top of her foot. Eighteen blushed which caused Krillin to chuckle lightly.
The waiter returned to their table with a serving plate that held their dinner. Each got a small plate which held sushi that was decoratively placed in a circle around three oysters. Then after that they were overwhelmed by the next course which consisted of pink salmon accompanied by fresh steamed vegetables and rice.
The evening passed well enough, flowing with champagne and good food. It was a little later when dessert arrived. It consisted of a bowl of strawberries with melted chocolate for dipping.
Eighteen took a strawberry and dipped it into the chocolate before carefully taking a bite causing an explosion of flavor to assault her taste buds and giving her an even greater taste...but for something entirely different.
When they finished and had enough, Krillin left a generous tip for the waiter before standing up and following Eighteen out of the establishment. The flight back to Kame island was quiet but pleasant. When they arrived home, Eighteen led him though her bedroom window towards her bed where they laid down side by side. Eighteen gently kissed him before smirking.
"You didn't think that stupid pendant was your only Valentine's Day present, do you?" She whispered in his ear. Krillin's blush intensified, fully aware of the meaning behind her words.
He softly kissed her neck while he helped her out of her clothes, marveling at the softness of her skin as he let his hands wander all over her. He showered her with kisses and whispers of sweet nothings in her ear and she took it all in.
Eighteen's senses heightened as she felt his hands roam freely, in turn she did the same, chuckling softly as she felt him react to her soft touches. She looked up at him as she traced a pattern on his chest with her fingers. Krillin recognized it, it was a heart just like the one he had given her. The meaning behind the gesture wasn't lost on him and he smiled softly before slowly kissing his way all over his girlfriend's body before coming back up and pressing his mouth against her's.
The kiss grew heated as they reversed roles. After a little while, Eighteen turned them around again and lay on her back, her hair was scattered all over her pillow as she beckoned Krillin to come closer.
Krillin slowly slid between her thighs, careful not to rush, he didn't want to hurt her hut Eighteen motioned for him to go on.
Krillin supported himself on his hands as he looked down on Eighteen's flustered face while slowly picking up his pace.
Eighteen kept her gaze on his as they found a steady pleasant rhythm, soft moans of pleasure escaped her lips as she let herself get lost in the sensations such a simple act could evoke in her. She reached up and took Krillin's face in her hands, pulling him down slightly and kissing him with an open mouth while her hands were all over his slight sweaty chest. They rolled over resulting in her being on top.
Krillin gently grabbed a hold of her slender hips and guided her until they found their rhythm back. He was almost overwhelmed by the sensation of her moving on top of him, amazed by the view he had as he watched her face flush with color once again. He let his hands wander all over her body, marveling and taking pleasure in the way she reacted.
Eighteen threw her head back and cried out softly as pleasure overtook her. Krillin didn't think he would ever see a more beautiful sight and it was his undoing.
Eighteen collapsed forwards, leaning on his chest as she kissed the small man who took the opportunity to softly caress her face before breaking away and whispering how beautiful she was and that he loved her.
A little while later, they were both laying on their backs, staring at the ceiling as their breathing was returning to normal. Then Eighteen turned and snuggled into the arms of her lover where it was warm, safe and relaxing. She gently closed her eyes, drowsiness taking her over. Krillin covered them with her white sheets before nuzzling her hair. He too felt sleep tug at him and whispered one short sentence before drifting off.
"I love you..."
