Hey guys, I know I didn't update yesterday and I just want to say I'm sorry for that. I completely forgot about it and I wasn't able to get online until now. Anyways back to the story, THIS ISN'T A FILLER CHAPTER! (though it may look like one) everything in this chapter has effects on my next story and how the characters view certain things. So here you go.
(Part fifteen: Nico)
Nico was frozen in place, his heart felt like it had just been ripped out of his chest. Rose sat there tears still streaming down her face and blood staining the snow around her. She was smiling though.
"I'll see you soon mom." She whispered and fell back in the snow. Everything was silent as Rose laid there dying. Nico tried to scream and call out to her but no sound came out of his mouth. Silent tears started falling from his eyes. He wanted to help her and keep her alive but he couldn't do anything.
Thankfully someone else could. A flash of warm golden light lit up the forest and faded as soon as it appeared. There was a young girl sitting beside Rose now along with a young teenage boy. The girl had a plain brown dress on and her eyes were full of a warm and comforting fire. Hestia goddess of the home and hearth. And the boy had a golden glowing aura around him and Nico knew it was Apollo.
"Rose my dear…" she said pulling the sword out of Rose's body. Apollo laid his hand on Rose's stomach and muttered a spell under his breath. A gold light pulsed through Rose's body and the wound closed up only leaving a small scar on her skin.
Hestia turned to Apollo and smiled. "Thank you my nephew. Your father and uncle will not be pleased if they find out about this so please keep this to yourself."
Apollo nodded and flashed away. Hestia turned back to Rose who was beginning to sit up in the snow. She looked at her stomach and then tried to grab her sword from Hestia. The goddess pulled the sword out of her reach and Rose began to sob. "Please… I can't do this anymore! Cole is dead! My mother is dead! Everyone I ever cared about is gone! It's not worth living anymore!" She shouted.
Hestia threw the sword to the side and grabbed Rose's shoulders. "Rose you have to calm down. You're not thinking straight."
Rose pushed the goddess away and pulled her knees up to her chest and began sobbing even harder. Hestia had a sad look in her eyes and placed a hand gently on her shoulder. "You have a bigger part to play. Your future is still coming you just have to be patient and keep fighting. I know you're discouraged and angry but everything is going to work out eventually." The goddess paused for a moment. "Your mother and Cole gave up their lives to protect you; don't waist the life that they tried so hard to preserve."
Rose stopped sobbing and looked up slowly at the goddess. Her eyes were red and puffy and tears stained her red cheeks. "Why? I never wanted them to die for me… I never wanted anyone to die because of me!" she yelled.
The young goddess looked at Rose with sympathetic eyes. "There are some things in this world that no one has any power over not even the gods. The emotions and actions of ones that you love is only one of them. I know that both of them loved you and what you're trying to do right now isn't what they would have wanted." She slowly pulled Rose into a hug. This time Rose didn't push her away. "It will get better someday but you have to keep going and be strong until that day comes."
Hestia's form began to glow with a warm light. "If you ever feel like there is no hope just call for me and I will be there to guide you… I swear on the Styx."
A loud clap of thunder sounded overhead just as Hestia vanished and left Rose in the snowy forest. Rose sat there for a few moments letting the white powder silently fall into her long red hair. She picked up her sword from the snow and held it sideways in her hand, looking at her reflection in the shining metal.
"Fine I'll live…" Rose pulled her hair to the side of her face and before Nico could blink she sliced off the majority of it. Long strands of hair fell onto the snow as she continued to slice off bits and pieces of what was left of her hair. As she finished her hair was now laid around her head in the same spiky manner that Nico had first laid eyes on. "… but I won't be happy about It." she finished.
Rose stood up on her feet and looked at the forest head of her. "I'm not going to be the same helpless little girl I was. I'll never let anyone hurt the people I love… never again." She whispered the last few words and tightened her grip around her sword. She ran into the woods without another word leaving Nico alone.
Nico was still puzzled even after everything that he'd seen. His surroundings began to change once again and he was now in the throne room of Olympus. It was completely empty of people aside from himself and a small girl in a simple brown dress.
"Lady Hestia, are you the one who has been showing me these dreams?" Nico asked praying that she would respond.
"Yes, Nico." She said calmly. She had her back to him but as she turned around Nico noticed that her face was full of pain and sadness. "I need you to pay very close attention young demigod. We only have a few moments before you awake. The first dream before you woke up was a vision of the future. Moros is going to destroy the gods and Olympus using Rose. She doesn't know but she has another personality in her soul that has been sealed away by her father. This personality is known as Satin's soul. She has unlimited amount of power and cannot be stopped once released. Moros plans to use and control this power, but he is a fool. Satin's souls would destroy the world within a day if given the opportunity. You are the only person who can prevent this from happening, you cannot let Satin's soul awaken from inside Rose. I will try to guide you as much as I can but I cannot see what will happen in Rose's future, it is blocked from my sight." Hestia said.
"Wait how can I stop it?" Nico begged. This was all happening so fast, he needed more information and more answers.
"I'm sorry but we can't talk anymore. You're friends are in serious danger right now and I'm afraid that our conversation is being monitored. Go now Nico Di Angelo. You have to keep this from happening by any means necessary. Good bye."
Hestia began to vanish and Nico could feel his body being pulled back into reality. "Wait! I can't save the world by myself! I need your guidance! Please!" Nico pleaded but Hestia was gone and he began to open his eyes.
What greeted him when he woke up was a horrifying sight. Rose was sitting in a chair next to his bed but she had fear in her eyes and a knife at her neck.
"Hello Nico, I believe we have some business to discuss."
Hello, yes it's another cliffhanger and I will try and update next Sunday. For those of you that got my Fairy Tail reference in this chapter I want to give you all a hug. If none of you know who Moros is don't worry I will explain everything later but if you're to impatient then here is a link.
