"Tell me about the bodies discovered." Rowan commands

"We discovered four bodies outside of town, sir." Jake said as he looks around the room filled with members of the village.

"And?"

"The men are not associated with any king but we believe the men to be associated with Grey Horse or looking for him

"Grey Horse?"

"Yes, Command."

"Where is Grey Horse?"

"We believe him to still be up north in Athens."

"Why would men come here in search of him?"

"As all men, Grey Horse's head is worth heavy bounty."

"Yes, but it fails to answer the question, of his whereabouts."

"Did the men harm anyone?" One member asked

"Someone believed they heard a woman scream but they are unsure if it was plain dream."

"Have they discovered her body?"

"No, sir…but…"

Rowan notes the hesitancy, the uncertain look cast on Ballard's face "speak"

"The men were killed in a way, I have never seen before."

He lifts his gaze from the scroll as he looks at the man, his curiosity was now peaked "How so?"

"The men were killed in close range yet the precision in the kill. One man has a sword impaled in his head, the others were killed quickly but the killer knew specifically where to inflict most damage; the men's screams were heard by others as well."

"So we have a hero?"

"It appears so."

"But there is no trail of the man and the woman." Confirmed a member realizing that the young captain returned empty handed

"Does the man wear the cap of Hades, is that how he vanished?" Rowan asked condescendingly

"I …I…"

"I do not keep you around for joy Ballard; you have a job-see it done. I want to know who the man is and the woman he saved. The man can be an asset to me and the girl can be the leverage I need."

"Yes, sir. But sir we have another problem."

"My patience is fleeting." Rowan sneers as he turns back to the scroll he was reading.

"Theodorus is dead."

"What?" he ask Looking up "That is the third man, this month to have died."

"Yes, sir. The healer said his heart gave out."

"His heart?"

"Yes, sir."

"Who found him?"

"His wife."

"Ballard have you noticed a trend?"

"Trend?"

"A pattern of sorts." Rowan clarifies

"Yes, sir."

"Does that not seem suspicious at all?"

"Yes, sir."

"Are men are dying and soldiers of sorts have entered our village" Rowan stops as he begins to think "When were there bodies found?"

"Today."

"How long have they been dead?"

"Two days ago sir."

"Bring the oracle; much has risen in short timing."

"Sir, our men who died where older."

"Old?" Rowan chuckles at the idiotic fool "Old means experience, wise, smart; not young stupid and foolish; our brothers who died may be old but they were strong, healthy as bear and to see them crumble like dirt in hand." He shakes his head in disgust and rises from his chair "those men are soldiers, and they died of no natural death. I want you to travel with your men up north and bring me answers, and look for what I desire."

"Yes, command."

Setting cup down and planting self-back in chair he observes the somewhat masculine captain "how is my slave, Ballard?"

"He is well as usual but he remains arrogant. I have inflicted wounds to scarred tissue yet he utters no word."

"He is a man of principle."

"He is a man, who believes he is better than me."

"Confident, do you believe he is ready to embark on mission."

"Command, I wish to engage in duel to death; I do not wish to have him as one of my men."

"Do you define me son? I spoke no words of duel. I asked do you believe him to be ready for mission."

"No, sir."

"Good, it is settled then Menelaus will accompany you and the men on the journey and as you are there I wish for you to dig further into Grey Horse's most recent activity." Rowan says as he gets up and makes his way to the door.

"You will teach him how to spar and use weapons before you leave, is that understood?"

"Sir, he wishes to defy me."

"Then you must teach him not to and if you lose, it will be you who obeys him."

"Yes, command."

He doesn't sleep; sleep is last thing on his mind when the day comes to an end. The darkness that is his chamber excites and terrifies him; the wolf inside is beginning to become restless with captivity. The haunting memories that continuously plague his subconscious come to the forefront as he sits in the darkness with his ever troubling mind. A smirk appears on his face, a grin that is not warm but heavily sinister.

He fills his time crossing off the men who have wronged him, and those who will plunge in the River Styx by his doing.

Besides beatings he trains unbeknownst to others. He exercises his body with strenuous vigor often bending, flipping, and kicking his body to the point of exhaustion. He will admit, the sweat and tenderness that comes with lifting his body is an enjoyable discomfort; a productive outlet for him to release his pent up anger and stress.

He looks at his hands and sees the dried blood accumulating under his nails. He killed Rowan's men and enjoyed it thoroughly and he will continue to do so. Their bodies appear natural though they did not bleed externally they did scream and he enjoyed the shrill noise coming from their lips and their eyes once he confessed his true nature, who he truly is. But they are cowards, when asked if they had anything to say, they did not pray for their gods or their families but for their life "please, save me? Have mercy on my soul, forgive me, child." They all breathed. And for each one he replied coolly to them "Am I not what you prayed for? Have you shown mercy to others?"

"Yes."

"Liar." He growls

"I will kill all of you." He promises "Until it is only I"

"Shhh." Grey Horse hushes one crying man "Rejoice that you will die in a bloodless death. Your brothers will not fare as well as you; I will kill their family and have them watch and depending on my mood and the youth of their daughters I shall bed them with force and vigor. Your brothers will be unsure whether there children and wife scream in agony or pleasure" he replies as he grabs the man's chin "perhaps both." He replies whimsically as he drops his chin.

"Why are you doing this?" The older man pleads

"I promised you that I would come back and soon; did I not." Grey Horse turns around viewing the scenery. They are away enough where no one shall hear his screams but close enough to easily return to cage if moment arises.

For the men, he repeats his saying and though they were all killed at different times they all answered the same, except one. The ever proud and faithful Theoodorus.

"I am owed, gratitude's."

"The gods will strike you down, for your crimes."

"Yet I live." He replies coolly

"Do you believe in your gods?"

"Of course." The man echoes with conviction

"Good, and when you die you can ask your gods why they did not save you."

"You are no god Grey Horse!" the man screeches as he spits near Grey Horse though he is bound and fears death he refuses to kiss the man's ass no more.

"What if I am?" Grey Horse turns towards Theodorus as he sits next to him on tree stump.

"You are nothing of the sort." He could hear the doubt in his voice and nods his head

"Perhaps."

"Command, will find out." His ears perked up with the mention of his name.

"Do you think I am not aware that killing his most trusted advisor would not spark interest?"

"He will find out who you really are."

"Not until I am ready."

"He is command, there is no escaping him."

"Only I." there was a pause and he looked directly at him. Yes, he remembers him now.

"Every action I have taken has been well thought of." He replies as he plays with a twig "I have killed two of your brothers but you" Grey Horse point at him as he rises "You shall elevate the game and stack the odds in my favor."

"He will kill you." Theodorus warns of betraying Command

"It is I who will kill him, and I have already started the process by gaining his respect."

Theodorus looks at the man with fear; if he feels what he believes to be true, let the gods have mercy on Rowan's soul and this village for he knows blood will be shed and bodies will burned to ash.

"What will you do?"

"You already know the answer."

"Please, spare the women and children."

"Did you spare my life?" Grey Horse asked with a firm jaw and clenched fist.

"We did."

"No, you did not. I warned you all of my return. Give thanks for I have arrived."

"You were never one of us."

"No" Grey Horse nods agreeing with Theodorus "There is no one like me; only me."

"Do not kill the women and children; do you have a heart."

"There is no beating in my heart; I am incapable of feeling. But if you tell me the names of Command's family than perhaps I might spare your family for his."

The terror fills his old hollow eyes as he struggles with telling Grey Horse the name of Command's family or remaining loyal. Grey Horse smiles proudly knowing he has twisted the knife in Theodorus's chest, he is Command's most loyal advisor will he die with his honor and loyalty or will he confess and spare his family's life with the sacrifice of Command's? He enjoys the constant plague that surrounds their mind, forever intrigued by moves that motivate them to act in certain or think in this way. The human mind is miraculous but forever changing often like the wind.

"So?" Grey Horse turns flipping his head towards his hostage "Do you remain loyal or do you die saving your family's life."

"I will not coward away, but do know that the souls that you captured shall remain with you until the end of time."

"Then I shall never be alone."

"We did you a favor."

"See the favor paid." Grey Horse states as he looks into his amber eyes "with the death of your family joining you in the after-life."

The opening of the door wakes him from his momentary reverie.

"Get out." Ballard commands with the opening of his door

He watches him with query suspicion as he steps a foot outside for the first time since imprisonment. The warm sun hits his face; the brightness of the light blinds him.

"Follow me." Jake roars "And if you try to run I will kill you."

He follows him to the spacious clearing where he is surrounded by a couple of men strapped with armor.

"Put these on" Ballard bellows as he throws a pair of trousers at him

"Jealous." One man replies

"Hardly, I am more inclined to cut it off."

"Jake wishes to make toy out of cock." The other man replies jokingly

"Perhaps, he may give the cock to Olivia in hopes that she may finally fancy him." Grey Horse's ears perk up with the mention of her name. Olivia somehow knows these men and to curse him the gods have chosen the man he despises to have a crush on Olivia.

"Enough, Stephen and Harrison." Jake yells. Olivia has always been a sore subject for him.

"It appears we have struck a chord." Harrison replies

"Enough, Command has ordered us to train this mongrel and I must do so."

"Ah, he is training him to take your place." Stephen observes

"Of course not, Command demands that he comes with us to check on Grey Horse's activity and he wishes for him to be trained to hold a sword."

"I am captain, this dog." Jake seethes as he looks at Grey Horse with disgust "Can't possibly defeat me, he lacks training, etiquette, and respect."

"But he has strength." Harrison observes looking at the man for the first time; the man has been chained and only few have been allowed to see the mysterious stranger. Though he looks like a normal man, Harrison can see that beneath his eyes lies something never seen before.

"That has yet to be determined."

/

Olivia has a routine. Every day she repeats the routine, like clockwork. She awakens, bathes in the pond, fixes her hair, change into her clothes for the day, and gathers up her weapon before heading out for the day.

The weather is surprisingly warm.

Her brown bag on her shoulder inside the bag lays her scrolls that she writes in daily; Olivia has all that she needs.

After removing herself from Asha she found herself walking to the woods, where herbs lay outside the garden. Her steps are light and her stride is steadfast.

The brown bag sits near the trees and she proceeds to spend her morning in silence contemplating the mysterious man in the cage who without knowing it gave her life.

Her fingers ghost across her lips as she replays last night's encounter; wetness envelopes her as she thinks about his touch and if he would kiss her again; she knows he is not normal, his strength surmounts all others and when he pulled the bars apart she felt her knees weaken at the sight of his flesh.

Her skin begins to grow crawl in a sensual way, as she feels the wind drifting her further into the woods, summoning her to come closer and without thought she does.

She smiles triumphantly at the sight of bruisewort hidden behind the large tree. She immediately plucks the herbs and gingerly places them in her satchel. Her grandmother use to put the concoction on her as a child whenever she sprained her ankle or when her body ached from frequently being thrown off a horse, she touches the lavender plant gently knowing it will do wonders for Fitz. She chuckles softly at the thought of his name, having been around him for so long she expected a name like Brutus or Maximus but the more she thinks about his name the more she likes the sound, his name is gentle on the tongue but beneath the softness lies his truth, his strength.

Her own thoughts were preoccupied by the sounds of grunting and yelling and the sounds of swords crashing, she walks further into the woods but never gets close enough so that they can hear or see her.

"Do you like that?" Ballard sneers as he managed to knock Grey Horse's sword from his hand, putting him at an disadvantage.

Grey horse nodded, looking over at Ballard "very much so, but I believe you have me at an advantage."

"This is the man you claimed has strength? " Jake asked Harrison and Stephen

"Perhaps he is unacquainted with sword." Stephen says try to find reason for believing the man to be stronger than he appeared.

Walking towards him, he punches Grey Horse swiftly bringing him to his knees with joy.

Olivia lost in shock, involuntary a gasp slipped past her lips.

Hearing her, his head turns swiftly to the woods and his heart starts to beat for the first time today. Though she is hidden from view he can spot her from the far distance she is at. His muscles begin to tense at her having to see him like this.

"Get up" Jake hollers

He grabs his sword weighing it in his hand, making the precise calculations as how to swing and maneuver the sword. The sword is lighter than what he is accustomed to but he knew Ballard would never give him a sword that was sharpened and polished though he acts superior to him he can see his fear of him and rightfully so.

He met Jake in the middle, the other man staring at him angrily. He grips the handle tighter and crouches slightly, Jake seeing him mimics his action.

"I'm going to show you why I am the Captain."

Grey Horse smirks sinisterly at the man. 'Good' he replies. He charges towards him, yelling a battle cry as he begins to swing. Grey Horse dodges the blade narrowly not wanting to appear weak under her watchful gaze; no, he does not wish for her to see him like this, or anytime he has to fight. If he could Olivia would only know the man in the cage and not the man he has been trying to run from; Olivia would see him in a light that is worthy of such a lady of grace.

The blades clash together, sending a metallic sound into the air at the crashing of their metal. Grey Horse realizing that he must play the part loosens the grip on his sword and allows Ballard to push him to ground.

"Get up." He seethes powered by overcoming the man who has been making a mockery of him

"Jake, perhaps we try spears."

"Yeah."

"Sure." He replies wiping the sweat from his forehead

"Get up dog."

He watches the young man with copper skin walk to him "Do you know how to use a spear?"

"No."

"Hold it like you use cock." Jake shouted as he sat with Stephen

"Okay, just grip the spear and elevate to your ear and see your mark and throw, the goal is to keep your spear straight, like arrow."

"Thank you, sir."

"Call me Harrison." He replies taking pity on the poor man who has enraged their captain. Though he heard the whispers of him, from where he was standing he does not appear to be a threat but harmless man who has sadly become command's newest toy.

Grey Horse grips the sword and aims it towards Jake. "Not at me you asinine dog, there." He points pointing to the woods, pointing towards her.

With his back turned he smiles as he throws the spear. Turning around dumbfound he looks at Jake "Do you need to get that?"

"Get it yourself, dog. Don't bother coming back until you do."

She smelled him before she heard his footstep in grass. She never heard his footstep, it was only when he uttered her name that she could feel him, see him, standing in front of her. Her eyes locked onto him, shifting between up and down as she attempts to convince herself that he is real and that he is with her.

"Hi"

"Hi" he whispers as he moves closer to her.

Her heart races at the sight of him, her blood pumps vigorously through her veins as he smiles gently at her.

"You almost killed me." She lifts her head pointing to the spear stuck inside the tree.

Moving closer to her, he grabs the spear and without looking removes it from the bark. "Never."

An ease sweeps through them as they look at one another forgetting about what had just transpired earlier with Jake in the clearing.

They stand watching each other for a long while, each viewing whether the cosmic pull between them was madness or something more, something deeper, something worth the danger it presented to both of them if they were caught. Her eyes drop and she frowns at the sight of black trousers covering him though his chest remained free of constraints.

"I see you have found trousers?" she ask cheekily

Looking down for the first time, he nods slightly "I do not wish for it be chopped off." He replies back lightly, surprised at his joke. It has been long since he has made any attempt to joke or laugh. The fact that she is able to make him smile regardless of his predicament does not go unnoticed by him.

"Neither do I." Without thought she stepped closer, so close in fact that she only realized exactly what she was doing when her hand reached out to trace his strong jawline. He remains still as a statue though his features darken and his eyes become cleared of clouds as he stares at her. Her body flushes at the intensity of his gaze.

His body glistens with sweat, his shoulders and arms hard and defined, his trousers sit low on his narrowed hips. Bless this amazing specimen, his face clear from bruises.

His head tilts to the side as she observes him. He is not what she is supposed to fancy, not typically handsome as some of them who have tried to court her; many if they saw him would call him barbaric, an animal.

Grey Horse presses her firmly into the tree, holding her in place. His hands leave deep imprints into the bark on either side of her head as he struggles with his urge to touch her.

"How did you sleep?" she asks quietly at the feel of his face nestled into the crook of her neck.

"Good."

"That's good." She whispers as her eyes lock with his "I did not."

She sees the look of confusion spread across his face "I was thinking of you." She replies "and the kiss we shared last night."

"And I enjoyed that thing you did with your tongue, do you kiss all girls like that?" she ask "never mind, don't answer that." She fears knowing the answer that somebody else has touched and kissed him the way she does now.

"I never been kissed before" she rambles as she looks down to play with the dirt "my friends told me about it but I did not believe it until now. You have soft lips." She replies looking at them wanting desperately to kiss them anything truly if it means it would put her out of her misery.

"I couldn't sleep because I was thinking of you."

He made no reply, but his eyes fixed on her in a way that made her skin warm and stomach muscles spasm and her knees weak.

"As was I." he whispers as he gently pulls a loose stranded of hair behind her ear.

"Fitz." The whisper of his name slowly pushed the wolf inside under her tender gaze. Olivia licks her lips, trying desperately to get closer.

"Yes, Olivia." The way he said her name sent her body humming, goosebumps dance across her sensitive body.

"Kiss me."

His eyes never left hers as his lips moved in close, giving her every opportunity to change her mind. Stepping on her toes to gain height she breathes on his lips "Kiss me, Fitz."

His face, passive as always, gave nothing of his feelings. But his eyes, they blazed with some unknown need as they travelled across her face. Bending down his mouth angled towards her, his tongue slipped past his lips to play with hers, the touch of his lips pressed against hers almost robbed her of breath.

She pushes into him, her hands at his neck holding him firmly to her as his hands grip the tree. Everywhere he touched she burned. The flames consumed them when he set his hand firmly on her shoulder.

Her hands dig into his shoulder blades, and he rolled his hips into her warm core knowing she feels him. She gasp at the overpowering feeling of him touching her so intimately, her hands travel to the back of his neck in order to deepen the kiss. Unconsciously her legs wrap around his middle bring him closer to her and if not for pants he would be inside her, where he belongs. He holds her in place effortlessly as he pushed into her again and again as the pleasure soars through. Her hot breath pants againsht his neck, her whimpers and moans of pleasure drive of him. "Take me."

They separate their lips to catch breath and he looks at her with swollen lips and flush cheeks and smiles before kissing her again. If she gives herself to him, he will gladly take her and treasure the beauty and grace that is she.

"Menealaus!" they shout.

Engulfed by her, he forgot about them; being near her weakens his senses, he becomes consumed by thoughts of her loveliness. Turning quickly to the sound of their voices he knows he must leave soon or risk being found.

"I must go."

"What are they doing to you?" she ask noticing a bruise starting to form under his left rib "How do you know Jake?"

He frowns displease with Olivia uttering his name. "I do not wish to talk about it."

"I do." Olivia retort stopping him from leaving "who is Menelaus; and how do you know Jake."

"How do you know Captain Ballard?" his question comes of cold as his jaw tensed.

"He is not a captain, he is my friend. Why was he sparring with you? Is he training you."

Friend was the word that replayed in his head. His hands ball into a tight fist at her words 'training him, sparring, friend. Grey Horse felt his gut twitch, his head pounding "is he your boyfriend."

"Boyfriend?"

"I asked you a question?"

She notices his tone and becomes defensive crossing her arms at his integration "who is he to you?"

"Your friend Jake is the man who beats me."

Her face turns ashen as she shakes her head with tears forming "No, he would never."

"You know him, well then." Grey horse does not question but states clearly. It appears that his feelings for the raven lady have not entirely been reciprocated that she belongs to another and not himself "My words mean anything because your loyalty does not lie with me." The softness that once shined in his eyes dispersed as his eyes grew darker and more menacing. "You saw with your eyes yet you play blind." The question is worded as a statement

"Stay away from me." He warns

"Fitz." She yells making him turn faster than she could see.

"Do. Not call. Me that. Again" he turns around walking away from her "or you will regret it."

"I'm sorry; I knew him long time."

"Remove thought from mind as will I."

She reaches for him but it was too late, he was already gone. He walks quickly to the clearing with heavy quick steps.

Before he could utter a word, he feels Olivia's eyes on his back watching him; he turns quickly and watches her walk to the middle of the clearing. "What is going on?" she turns around and sees Harrison and Stephen with Fitz and Jake unsure exactly what they are planning to do. She knows Fitz is a prisoner but why he is outsides alarms her and more importantly her heart aches at the coldness of his voice, how he could be so cruel as to dismiss her. Regardless of hurt feelings she knows if she is around him, they would not harm him but seeing the ice look in his eyes her stomach turns and she begins to feel sick.

"Olivia." Jake rushes to her hoping to push her away

"What is going on?"

"Olivia…"

"Who is he?" Olivia interrupts nodding towards Fitz playing innocent of their encounter.

"He is nobody. Just boy who I am teaching."

"I have never seen him before."

"And never shall you."

He watches them discreetly as they talk closely. Saliva fills his mouth, jaw becomes clenched, and fist balled as Jake whispers words he could not hear. He sees Olivia, her arms resting lightly upon their leader's shoulders, breaking soft words.

His mouth agapes at the sight of them hugging; rage fills his veins when her petite frame was all but enveloped within his arms, his chin resting atop her bowed head .

He walks towards the two with calculated strides. While Jake stares at her, she stares at him. Grey Horse turns to face them and she is certain he forgot about her presence already, with cool indifference Grey Horse said "I wish to challenge you again, Captain. But this time let us use our natural gifts, no weapons just hands and fist."

"I am busy."

"I am sure your lady will enjoy the show." His tone firm, his eyes turn fixed solely on her "Won't you?"

"I don't wish to see fighting."

"It is not match, Olivia."

"See no fighting after all." He said with cool grace

Olivia's gaze caught his and stood transfixed. His face passive as always gave nothing of his feelings but his body language told another story, she travels across his face hoping to see the man she had kissed minutes ago but to her dismay he is gone.

"I do not wish for you to get hurt, young man."

"Do not worry about me, milady."

Feeling unease tension Jake immediately looks at Grey Horse and points to the middle of the clearing but not before kissing Olivia tendering on the cheek ' for luck' he whispers before walking to the middle of the clearing.

Her eyes remain transfixed on him, but he pays her no attention. Grey horse face darkens, he steps forward. If tone had not been enough to indicate troubled thoughts face and body have given ample reasons for cause of concerns. His shoulders are tense and rigid, his breaths are sporadic, a fire burns in his eyes.

He allows him to hit him first and stumbles to the ground watching him turn around and look at her with happiness. "I hope your just getting started." He responded coolly as blood dripped and strung with from his mouth.

"Of course."

He nods slowly as he stretches his head "my turn."

The men pummel each other to the round unmercifully. Flesh hitting flesh, skin splits from the frequent trauma, bones break without mercy. Jake battles to remain conscious as Grey Horse struggles to control his temper and the saddened look on her face. ' This is how he shows his feelings' his face remains unscathed as he dodges the weakened blows the captain attempts to throw; he is weak and those who believe him to be better are fools as well.

He watches him stumble to the floor as he struggles to get up. He punches him and watches the dripping blood soak the grass. He signals for his men to stay put and they do, loyal dogs they are. His eyes glance towards her and he smiles sinisterly at her. 'yes, this is who he is; who he has always been.' The evil spirit and jealously have taken over him, memories flash thorough his mind; memories of him and her, memories of Jake beating him, and worst of all touching her. A sense of power overcomes him, causing his expression to change.

He walks towards him and punches him directly in the chest between the sternum and breast bone. He watches the air leave his mouth as he falls backwards gasping for breath; trying to get enough air in his lungs to keep him from becoming unconscious. "I will not kill you, not yet." He whispers in his ears

"Enough!" the men shout as they watch their captain lose conscious due to Grey Horse's hand around his throat.

Swords are aimed at his neck, he could stop the swing and kill them but what fun would that be. Removing his hand from his throat he turns around "You got me."

Hitting him with the back of sword they knock him unconscious as they drag him with a concerned Olivia walking besides them as they carry the two men.

"What are you going to do to him."

"Olivia, you are not supposed to know about this."

"Well I do."

"Olivia."

"If you hurt him, I will tell my father and demand answers."

"Olivia, he will kill us."

"Then I suggest you don't tell him."

"We have to, don't you want this man punished for what he did to Jake."

She stops and thinks about it, she hasn't given much concerned to Jake. It is not him she is worried about, he was beyond cruel and despicably evil yet she knows his act of violence was to get a reaction out of her.

"Of course which is why we must not tell, Jake's life will be in danger as will all of you if my father knew I was here."

"What do you wish for us to do, we have to tell him. Jake was training him."

"Tell my father but do not harm this man."

"Olivia."

"If you wish to see tomorrow, do not lay a finger on his head."

"Okay."

"Good, do what you must but beware that I am now aware of your hidden activities and if I see anything that causes me concern; I will look into myself."

"Yes, Olivia."

Closing her eyes, Olivia looks at Fitz and watches Stephen carry him to his captivity. She will have words with him but she is appreciative of this moment. With her eyes finally open she can see that she has mistaken lilies for bombs but if it means being with him she will gladly walk on the landmine.
