"Where are we going mommy?" Gracie asks as Logan drives down the road.

"To see grandma and papa."

"For how long?"

"Until you have to go back to school."

"Really?" Gracie asks excited. "Are we staying at their house?"

"No honey we have a house close to them. We can walk to their house." Logan tells Gracie.

"Seep at granma papa house?" Four year old Bentley asks.

"You can sleep at grandma and papa's house some nights."

"Mommy Rylan is up." Gracie tells Rory. "She's going to cry."

"Can you see if she'll take this." Rory hands Gracie a pacifier.

"She taked it mommy."

"Thank you sweetie."

"You know Bentley's not going to want to sleep at the house with us."

"Yeah." Rory nods.

"There yet?"

"Almost buddy."

"We're almost there Ry and mommy will feed you." Gracie tells the baby when she spits the pacifier out and starts to cry.

"Mama num num." Ryaln cries wanting to nurse.

"Do you want to go to your parent's or the house first?"

"The house. I want to get Ry fed and the kids settled first."

"Okay." Logan turns on the street where the house is.

"I like it." Gracie says when they pull up to the two story gated house.

"There's a big yard so you and Bentley can run around and the back has a pool and swing set." Rory tells the kids.

"Cool." With the car off Gracie unbuckles herself and hops out when Rory opens her door. Logan let's Bentley out and he runs around the yard with Gracie.

"Mommy's going to feed you now sweet girl." Rory says taking the almost twelve month old out. Rylan tugs on Rory's top. "There there." Rory says sitting on the porch swing. When her breast is offered to Rylan she quickly latches on.

"They're in heaven and we haven't even been inside yet." Logan says taking a seat next to Rory.

"We're never going to get them inside." Rory smiles watching as Gracie and Bentley chase a butterfly in the yard. "Are their bikes in the garage?"

"Yes." Logan nods.

"We're going to have exhausted kids everyday."

"I'm looking forward to it. Much better than them being glued to the tv or electronics everyday."

"I know." Rory looks down at Rylan. "Soon you'll be right there with them." Rory says to the baby. When Rylan finishes fifteen minutes later Logan takes her. "Are you ready to see the inside?" Rory asks the kids.

"Okay." Gracie says running up the porch stairs. Rory unlocks the door and the kids run in.

"It's so big." Gracie looks around. "Where's my room?"

"Follow us." Logan says.

Upstairs Logan opens a door to show Gracie her room decorated in pink. There is a white full sized sleigh bed with a pink comforter. The window seat has a plush pillow and some of Gracie's favorite toys are there.

"I like it." Gracie says.

Bentley's room is next to Gracie's with a oak colored full sized bed, decorated with trains and rails on the side since he is a wild sleeper. There is a nursery set up for Rylan close to the master bedroom. As Rory looks around she notices how personalized the house is with family pictures throughout.

"This is my present to you." Logan says coming up behind Rory and wrapping his arms around her as she looks at their wedding picture hanging on the hallway wall.

"What is?" Rory asks turning in his arms.

"The house." He says.

"You bought the house?"

"Yes."

"I love you." She kisses him.

"You're not mad that I did this without telling you?"

"No."

"Good." He smiles. "They're coming tomorrow to install a pool alarm and security door." He tells Rory.

"Great."

"Gracie Bentley." Logan calls. "Come here mommy and I need to talk to you."

"Daddy and I are so happy you like the house." Rory says when the kids sit down. "There are a few rules you two need to follow." Rory says.

"The first and most important is that you are not allowed to go in the pool by yourself." Logan says.

"If you want to go outside mommy or daddy needs to go with you. If either one of you break that rule you will be in big trouble. Understand?"

"Yes." They nod.

"And the rules we have at home are the same here."

"Okay." Gracie says. "Can we go play in the back?"

"Yes." Logan stands to go with them.

"I'm going to change her." Rory takes Rylan from Logan.

Outside Gracie runs to the swing set and gets on. Bentley follows getting on the other.

"Ready to go see grandma and papa?" Rory asks coming out.

"Yes." Gracie jumps of the swing and runs over to Rory. Bentley waits for Logan to slow the swing and hops down. Rory puts Rylan in the stroller and they make the five minute walk to see Lorelai and Luke.

"My babies." Lorelai says from her spot on the porch.

"Grandma." Gracie runs to Lorelai.

"Hello baby." Lorelai braces for Gracie's hug as she's running at her full speed. "I missed you." She kisses Gracie.

"Did you see the house? It has a pool."

"I did." Lorelai smiles. "He stud where's grandma's kiss?" Lorelai asks when Bentley runs up. He climbs on the swing and gives her a kiss. With kisses and snuggles done Gracie and Bentley go to play in the yard. "Hi baby girl." Lorelai smiles at Rylan when Rory brings her up. "Still not walking yet?"

"No." Rory shakes her head. "We've had to talk to Gracie and Bentley about getting everything for her because she'll just wait for them to get whatever she wants instead of doing it herself." Rory tells Lorelai. "She's better about trying when they're at school but since they're off for the summer she's gotten used to them doing everything for her." She explains.

"Lazy girl." Lorelai tickles Rylan's chin causing her to laugh. "Grandma kisses?" She asks and Rylan leans forward to give her a kiss. Lorelai places Rylan on her feet. When she is holding on the the porch slats she lets her go so she can practice her walking. Rylan cruises around the porch looking through the slats at Gracie and Bentley playing. "Luke is getting stuff for the barbecue at your place later." Lorelai tells them. "He'll be back soon." She adds. "Look." She points to where Rylan has let go of the porch and is standing in her own.

"She's been doing that for a while but she hasn't gotten the nerve to take a step." Rory says. "I see you baby." Rory smiles when Rylan looks at her.

"Mama." She says lifting her left foot. "Dada." She looks at Logan placing the foot down slightly in front of the other. She lifts the right foot and places it in front of the left. She switches to the other foot and falls on her bottom.

"You're okay." Rory says when Rylan looks up at her. "Get back up you can do it." Rory encourages.

"She'll be walking before summer is over." Lorelai says watching as Rylan pulls herself to stand.

"Papa!" Gracie and Bentley exclaim. The adults look up to see Luke slowly driving up making sure Gracie and Bentley aren't in the way.

"Now that Luke is here we can go to the house to start getting ready for the barbecue." Logan says. "We wanted to let the kids see how close we were to you."

"I just need to get my phone." Lorelai says.

"Gracie Bentley we're going."

"Are grandma and papa coming too?"

"Yes princess."

"Can we go in the pool?"

"Yes."

"Goody." Gracie cheers.

"Ry come on baby." Rory calls to her youngest.

"Mama." Rylan holds her arms up to be picked up.

"Come to mommy lazy girl." Rory beckons. "You can walk." Rory says when Rylan drops to her hands and knees.

At the house Luke and Logan put the meat to marinade. Lorelai helps Rory change Gracie and Bentley into their swim clothes. Ready they run to the back door waiting to be let out. Gracie jumps in as soon as she is close enough and Bentley followes her.

"I'm glad we put them in swim classes." Rory says watching as Gracie and Bentley play in the pool.

"Mama." Rylan points to the pool. "Wa wa." She points trying to go to the pool.

"Daddy is going to get in with you when he's done."

"Wa wa mama." Rylan cries. "Wa wa." She tries to wiggle from Rory's arms.

"She loves her swim classes and never wants to get out of the pool when it's over."

"Mama go." Rylan cries.

"Do you mind keeping an eye on them while we get changed?"

"Of course not."

"I'll get it." Rory says when the door bell rings when she steps inside. "Hey guys." Rory smiles opening the door for Steph, Colin, Finn, and the girls.

"Mama." Rylan pats Rory pointing to the back door.

"She's dying to get in the pool with Gracie and Bentley."

"I'll go in with her love." Finn volunteers.

"Want to go in the pool with Uncle Finn?" Rory asks.

"Es." Rylan kicks her legs.

"Okay mommy needs to change your clothes first."

"Mommy can I get in too?" Savannah asks.

"Me too." Leighton says.

"Yes Savannah. Leighton if daddy goes with you you can."

"Peas daddy."

"Yes." Colin nods.

"Come get changed."

"Hey man I'm not even here five minutes and I got roped into going in the pool." Colin says walking over to Logan.

"Leighton gave you the puppy dog eyes?" Logan laughs.

"Darn kid knows I can't say no to her." Colin laughs.

"In In." Rylan calls reaching for Finn when she comes back out. "Go wa wa." She points when he takes her from Rory.

"Demanding little thing." Finn laughs. "Uncle Finny needs his kiss first love." He says and Rylan gives him a dozen kisses.

"Go." She points when she's done.

"Alright." He says. Finn takes Rylan to the pool where she squeals with joy.

"Mama." She calls.

"I see you honey." Rory waves. "She's such a water baby. She's not going to let Finn get out anytime soon." Rory watches as Rylan swims around by herself with Finn right behind her.

"She can hold her breath for a long time." Lorelai notes when she sees how far Rylan goes before taking another breath.

"Her teacher is surprised." Rory tells Lorelai. "They're going to sleep good tonight. You guys are staying tonight right?"

"Yes." Steph nods. "When are you coming to New York next?"

"Logan and I will be there in two weeks but Bentley and Gracie are staying here." Rory tells Steph. "Ry has her twelve month checkup so she'll be with us too."

"Savannah is bummed you guys are going to be gone all summer."

"She can stay with us for a few days when we come back down."

"Mommy look." Leighton calls. When Steph looks she jumps in the pool and swims to the side.

"Good job honey." Steph says.

"Okay kids time to get out for a little." Logan says after they have been in for over an hour.

"But daddy." Gracie whines.

"You're all pruney. Run around for a little and you can get back in." He says.

"No dada no." Rylan says. "Wa wa."

"You can go in again later."

"No." Rylan cries when Finn gets out of the pool with her.

"Do you want a snack Ry?" Rory asks.

"No mama." Rylan says. "Wa wa." She points to the pool. Rory wraps a towel around Rylan who is still upset about being taken out of the pool. She slides from Rory's lap and gets on her hands and knees to crawl. Not liking her hands getting dirty she uses a chair to help her stand. With full concentration Rylan slowly walks towards the pool. "No." Rylan cries going limp noodle when Rory picks her up. Rory takes her inside to replace the soaked water diaper with a regular one. She puts a pair of clear jelly sandals on her feet and a pink shirt. Rory stands behind Rylan holding her hands as she walks back outside. "Wa wa."

"Later." Rory says directing Rylan's attention to where the kids are playing. Gracie runs over and picks Rylan up taking her over to where they are playing.

"I love watching Gracie with Ry." Lorelai says watching as Gracie puts Rylan down and holds her hands. Savannah puts a soccer ball in front of her and Rylan kicks it.

"Good job Ry." They hear Gracie say. Rylan holds onto Gracie's hands tightly and walks over to the soccer ball and kicks it again.

"Go." Rylan points to the slide.

"Daddy Rylan wants to go on the slide." Gracie calls.

"I'll go." Colin says. He helps Rylan up the slide and Gracie goes down with her.

"Daddy can we go back in the pool now?" Gracie asks after thirty minutes.

"Go ahead." Logan says and before he can blink they are jumping in.

"Here mommy." Gracie gives Rylan to Rory.

"Mama go." Rylan cries wanting to get back in the pool.

"Come here baby girl." Logan takes Rylan and walks over to the pool. They stay in the pool until dinner time when they reluctantly get out. Rylan protesting the most.

"There's hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken." Luke says. "Who wants a hamburger?"

"Me." "I do." "Me too." Gracie, Bentley and Savannah say.

"I want cheese on mine please papa."

Colin starts putting together hamburgers while Logan puts the sides on plates.

"Who wants hotdogs?"

"Me." Leighton says.

"Ry do you want chicken?"

"No." She shakes her head.

"Burger?"

"No."

"Hotdog?"

"No."

"What are you going to eat?" Luke asks holding her to see her choices.

"She'll share with me." Rory tells Luke as she serves herself.

With the kids settled and eating the adults enjoy their meal Rylan sits with Rory eating chicken and mashed potatoes from her plate.

"They're going to crash as soon as their heads hit the pillow." Steph points out and they all look at the kids quietly eating their food.

"They desperately need baths before they go to sleep."

"Leave it to me loves." Finn says. "And there will be no mess to clean up inside."

"I should be worried but I'm too tired." Rory says.

Finn finishes his food and goes inside coming out with towels and bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and children's body wash.

"What in the world?" Steph says.

"As long as they get cleaned and there's no mess inside I'm not even going to ask." Rory says.

"Alright troops throw your plates in the trash and come with me for your baths." Finn says when she sees the kids are done eating. They do as told and follow Finn to the side of the house.

"Gay Gay." Rylan calls her sister wiggling from Rory's lap.

Gracie runs over and picks Rylan up carrying her over to where they are. They all turn when they hear the kids yell and laugh seeing Finn wetting them all with the hose. When they are soaked he goes around shampooing their hair and picks the hose back up to rinse it out. He does the same with the conditioner and then puts body wash in their hands telling them to rub it all over. When they are covered in body wash he rinses them off really good. Done he turns off the hose and one by one he holds up a towel while they take off their swim suit and go inside to dress in their pajamas which he laid out for them in little wet room. He takes Rylan last and drys her off and dresses her. In the living room he set up blankets on the floor with pillows for their heads making a big bed. The kids brush their teeth and lay down. Finn puts on a movie and they watch quietly.

"Where are they?" Colin asks when Finn comes out alone.

"Laying down watching a movie."

"They need to brush their teeth."

"Done." Finn says.

"I will say that is the fastest all five of them have been bathed." Logan says.

"Good job Finn." Colin says as they start cleaning up.

"Mama num num." Rylan says when she sees Rory her eyes barely open.

"Three down two to go." Steph says seeing that Savannah, Bentley, and Leighton are already sleeping and Gracie isn't far behind.

Rory picks Rylan up and settles on the sofa to nurse. As soon as she latches on her eyes close. Fifteen minutes later Rylan's suckling slows and her hold on Rory loosens.

"I'll put her in bed." Logan takes Rylan from her. "I doubt you'll hear a peep from them all night."

At ten Lorelai and Luke head home and the rest go to get ready for bed. Logan locks up and turns the tv off leaving a soft light on just in case one of the kids wakes during the night.
