No P.O.V

The other Guardians arrived a few seconds after that, guided by the train that had gathered them before leading them back. Bunnymund guessed that he would have been in that group if he hadn't demanded the train take him to Emiline immediately. No one blamed him for rushing there on his own, it had pretty much saved Emiline's life.

"Vhat happened? Is Emie okay?" North boomed as he jumped out of his sleigh, his swords held readily in anticipation for a fight. That was when Emiline dissolved into tears.

Bunnymund would not release the girl but he allowed North to kneel down beside them and hover like the concerned father he was. The Russian's eyes were filled with worry and pain, the kind you get when you see someone you love in pain. North had unofficially adopted the girl basically, just like he had with Jack. But it was different than with Jack. The girl would actually stay in the workshop most of the time and she would call it her home. Everyone knew Emiline had daddy issues too so becoming the father she always wanted had become a goal for North.

"Little one. My little one. Shhhhh my child." North whispered, cupping the girl's face in his huge hand. His daddying seemed to only make it worse though and she cried harder. North looked around for assistance, his eyes finally landing on Tooth.

Tooth zoomed over and grabbed Emiline's hands. She hovered above the girl with a comforting smile on her face. "Sister you're alright. Toothiana's here now sweetie, sister's here now." The fairy chirped. Emiline cried even harder.

Bunny tightened his hold on Emiline, pulling her sobbing face into his chest. The girl seemed to appreciate it because she nuzzled her face in his fur and clung to him, her grip tighter than clamps. Emiline was trying her hardest to stop the tears that fell down her face but she couldn't. It was the leftover tears from her nightmares mixed in with tears of relief from being back in reality. She was also crying because here, in real life, the Guardians loved her. In her nightmare they had said things that had broken her heart into a million pieces but now they were all trying their hardest to mend the pieces, to fix her.

Sandy decided then it would probably be a good time to get them out of there. He made the dreamsand bed Jack was lying on zoom over so they could all see the broken boy on the golden mattress. The ones able to see the boy let out startled gasps.

"We must get to Pole immediately!" North boomed, picking the boy up off the bed. He cradled him in his arms until he was up in the sleigh. Then he handed Jack over to Tooth who gently laid him on one of the steps. "Bunny, Sandy, come on! Ve must go!" Santa Clause shouted.

Bunny carried Emiline up into the sleigh as carefully as he could. He held her in his lap as North flew them upwards into the night sky. Sandy looked around, expecting to see Pitch, but spotting nothing. With a sigh Sandman turned to the rabbit and the girl, worry growing in his tiny body. But when he saw how tenderly Bunnymund was staring at the girl and how comforting the rabbit's smile was when Emiline looked at him Sandy couldn't help but feel a bit of joy. The sweet child had been saved, she was safe, and her friend was there to keep her safe.

"How is it that every time I end up in your arms Kangaroo?" Emiline said through her tears. She was chuckling a little, wiping at her eyes. Bunny and Sandy were so fixed on her they didn't notice the sleigh pass through the portal into the cold Pole air. "I'm starting to think you plan all of this out." Emiline joked. Her laughter was slightly crazed but it was hers and that made them smile.

Bunny nodded solemnly. "Aye mate, I planned everything out just so I could hold you one more time." He told her.

Emiline laughed again, snuggling into Bunnymund's fur which was softer than anything she had ever felt. His chest was a lot comfier than all of the pillows she had ever used now that she thought about it. "Hey Bunny?" She asked when she was situated. The overgrown rabbit looked at her expectantly. "When I go to the warren tomorrow can I have some lollies?" The girl asked.

North, grunted, voicing his displeasure. The girl was injured mentally, she shouldn't be going anywhere tomorrow. He wouldn't say anything though, in case it hurt his precious Emie. Bunny was grateful for that.

"Yes Emiline. I'll give you lollies until you're so big you burst." The rabbit said playfully as they landed. They weren't going in through the normal sleigh entry, there wasn't any time for that. Instead, North had parked the sleigh right in front of the infirmary entry and yetis were rushing out to take the injured. "I'm gonna have to hand you over to a yeti now Emie." Bunny told the girl in his arms.

Emiline freaked out, screaming as the yeti tried to take her. North shouted something in Russian and the yeti fell back, hands raised in the air as if in surrender. He shouted something back at North in yetish but no one was listening. Jack had been carried into the infirmary already and Tooth had followed him closely. The only Guardians remaining other than the sleigh driver himself were Sandy and Bunny and they were much too focused on Emiline to care about whatever the yeti was shouting.

"No. No don't leave me. You can't leave me." Emiline said quickly once she stopped screaming. She was gripping Bunny's fur as if her life depended on it. Emiline didn't want him to let her go, just in case something happened. Jack was hurt, she had seen him, and she couldn't stand the thought of someone else also getting hurt. Of course she wasn't about to go explaining this to Bunny so she just kept begging him to not let her go.

Bunny went to nuzzle Emiline's neck affectionately but then he remembered what she had gone through today and thought better of it. "Don't worry my sheila, I won't go anywhere. You're Easter Bunny will also be with you mate." He told her.

Tooth, who had been watching out of the corner of her eye through the infirmary window, smiled slightly. Subconsciously she had placed herself between Jack and the window, shielding his pain filled eyes from the scene outside. It was him who had shed blood for Emiline but, then again, Bunny was the one who ultimately saved her. Jack had tried of course but Bunny had been unnoticed and managed it better. Everyone knew the two boys loved Emiline, it was absolutely clear, but no one knew which of the two boys Emiline loved in that way.

Toothiana sighed. "My dearest sister. What will you do when you have to choose?" She whispered, staring out at the girl nuzzled in the furry arms of E. Aster Bunnymund.
