A/N:Hello everyone! I'm still alive! Here is the chapter so hope you enjoy! Sorry for errors!
For the past couple of days Harima found himself on the roof during lunch. "Hmmm Tenma's sister is running late today. I hope she made curry again." He says staring into the sky. Things recently have been looking up for Harima. Since Yakumo had been feeding him his attendance has been better. Not that he did much of the work but he was able to work on his new project. After reading the latest Zinagama there was a contest for aspiring artist. Since school wasn't really working out he thought that becoming a artist was the best opinion for him. The manuscript he was working on was on recent event in his life but with a fantasy twist in it.
Just then the doors to the roof swing open as Yakumo comes onto the roof. "S-sorry the teacher wanted to talk to me about my grades. Then I had to drop off my sisters lunch...but I'm here and I have your lunch." She says out of breath. For a moment Harima was worried that she might pass out.
Harima sits up "You know it's fine if you have more important things to do. I mean I've gone days without eating so one day is nothing." he says.
Yakumo takes a seat and sets up their lunch "It wasn't that important..." she says blushing a bit. After handing Harima his lunch they both eat in silence. Yakumo was a tight spot as far as school went. Her grade had been slowly declining since the start of all this. But it didn't change the fact that she got to spend time with the person she loved.
To Harima's delight Yakumo did make curry. "Thanks again." He says before digging in. After a couple of minutes Harima begins to notice that something was off about Yakumo. Normally Yakumo would attempt to make some conversion but today she was silent. She was staring at the floor she didn't look to well. Harima didn't want to ask since it wasn't really his business. As he was about to go back to eating he almost chokes remembering that words of Tenma.
"If you ever hurt Yakumo I will make you pay!"
If things with Yakumo fall apart so soon Tanma would surely kill him. Yakumo was his only shot to fix things between him and Tenma. He had to improve his relationship with Yakumo. Harima puts down his lunch "Hey Tenma's sister?" Harima calls out.
Yakumo snaps to attention "Y-Yes Harima?"
Harima turns to face her "umm is everything Ok? You don't look so good." He says.
"Oh...its nothing..." Yakumo says looking away from Harima. She didn't want Harima to know how deep her problems were. Besides her grades most of the teacher still thought she was trouble maker. But then again Yakumo hasn't been in the best mood in class. She was beyond the point of caring what people thought about her. Since all this started Yakumo notice that most boys didn't think about her like they use to. Everyday before everything happened it was a flood of thoughts about her. Most where not good and it would drain her. There were still a few thought that she caught but it was nowhere near as bad as before.
"oh...Ok... you know if you need help with something you can just ask." Harima says.
Yakumo was surprise that Harima cared. "Thank you Harima...it just been hard staying focus on school...Plus the whole thing with the photos." She says.
Harima thought back to that event and the mess that caused. The whole thing snowballed into where they were now. Tenma hated him now and fixing that was pretty much out of his control. Yakumo was his only hope. "Is that guy with the camera giving you trouble again! Just give me that word and I'll destroy that camera this time!" He says clinching his fist.
As much as Yakumo would like to send Harima to destroy Fuyuki's camera she speaks up "No its not that...but thank you for offering."
"So what is it?" Harima asks calming down.
Yakumo looks away from him because she was turning a bright red. She couldn't focus in class because her thoughts were all on Harima. Thinking about Harima is what got her through the day. Being able to have lunch with him like this was a dream.
Harima was getting a little unnerved by how long Yakumo was silent. He got up to and decided to face her. "Hey are you..." Harima stop when he saw that Yakumo was spacing out. She had a dream look on her face and was nearly drooling. "Hey anyone in there."
Yakumo snaps out of her day dream "Oh I'm sorry..." She says wiping her mouth. Daydreaming was a recent thing going on. It was a escape but it came with a dopey looking face. Even Sarah got a good laugh out of it. But having Harima see her like this was so embarrassing that she had a to go.
Without saying another word Yakumo stands up and heads for the door. "H-hey where are you going? Was it something I said?" Harima was in full panic that he somehow upset her. If Tenma saw her upset Harima might as well skip town.
Before opening the door Yakumo turns to Harima. The look on her face stopped Harima. Bright red and tears forming in her eyes. But that look she gave him...Harima had seen it somewhere. "I'll s-see you tomorrow..." With that Yakumo quickly leaves the roof.
"What the hell was that?" Harima says under his breath. Looking back Yakumo had left her bento and his. "She didn't even finish her's..." Hairma picks up his and quickly finishes Yakumo's portions before heading back to class.
Later that day
Harima couldn't help but tremble in his seat. He was walking on thin ice going to the café Tenma worked at. He had to give Yakumo's bento back and he wasn't able to find Yakumo before the end of school. "Harima..." Hearing Tenma's angry voice nearly gave him a heart attack. "May-may I take your order!" Tenma says grinding her teeth.
"Oh Ten-"
Tenma steps on his foot and leans in close to him "You don't get to call my by my first name."
Harima wanted to scream "Sorry miss Tsukamoto..." He says holding back the pain.
"Good...now may I take your order?" Tenma says releasing his foot.
"One coffee please..."
With that Tenma leaves for the bar where the coffee maker was. "What are you doing here?"
Harima was so lost in his fear that he didn't notice that Mikoto had walked up. " Get away from me Suou. Tsukamoto nearly killed me just now and what are you doing here anyways? Doesn't Tsukamoto hate you because of me?"
Mikoto rolls her eyes and sits down "You know the thug attitude isn't going to get you anywhere. Plus were dating remember."
"go to hell..." Harima says.
"Is that how you talk to all your girlfriends Harima?"
Harima felt his heart skip a beat. Tenma was standing next to them with his coffee. He looks at Mikoto who rolls her and sighs "Tenma give him a break...he..." Tenma cuts her off.
"I'll never understand what you see in him...Suou." Tenma says leaving Harima's coffee on the table.
Mikoto felt like she was just stabbed in the heart. The last time Tenma called her by her last name was around the time they first met. Was she now nothing more than a classmate now? Did she hate her as much as Harima?
Harima couldn't help but feel bad about what had just happened. "Suou I..."
"Just shut up Harima...next time find a new place to get your coffee. If we are going to talk again it cant be here...this is my number...now finish your coffee and get out of here." With that Mikoto gets up and heads back to her table.
"why do I do this to myself..." He mutters taking a drink. It was black but he didn't want to ask for cream.
The following day
"Are you ok Harima?" Yakumo asks noticing Harima hasn't touch his lunch.
"I had a run in with your sister yesterday...Suou was caught up in it as well. I don't think your sister considers her a friend anymore...its mostly my fault." Harima says.
"I'll ask her about it...my sister...doesn't think things through and she quick to judge people...she..." Yakumo stops herself. She was getting angry at the thought of her sister. It wasn't Harima fault he was trying to fix all this...it was Tenma's fault. "Why do you care about what my sister thinks?" Yakumo asks. Why did he care?
Harima was caught off guard by the question. "Um w-well...I...you see..." Harima was starting to sweat. He couldn't let Yakumo know that he was only doing this to get close to Tenma.
Yakumo had a bad feeling about this. "Harima...why do you care? Please tell me."
"Calm down Harima! Just tell her everything but your feeling for Tenma!" Harima thought. He clears his throat "You see...I'm trying to change my image...you the whole thug thing and the doesn't care about anyone." He says calming down a bit. Most of that was true but Yakumo kept her eyes locked on him.
"But why my sister? She hates you and...I don't know how to change that. Just forget about her and focus...on people who actually care about you..." Yakumo says blush putting on a smile.
Harima felt his heart sink down to his feet. Was Tenma always going to hate him? "No...there has to be a way to fix this." He thought.
Yakumo wasn't sure he heard everything he said. He seem to be lost it thought. After thinking about it for a moment what she came up with hit her like a blow to the chest. "No...that cant be it...it can't be..." Yakumo was starting to get sick to her stomach. She had to know so she clears her throat "Harima...do you like my sister?"
Harima felt his whole world shatter. "N-No what makes you say that?"
Yakumo wanted to throw up. His reaction to the question was all she need. "I...got to go..." She says holding back the tears. Harima was in love with his sister. The whole thing with her and Mikoto was most likely a attempt to get close to her...everything made sense now..."What do I do?" She cries into a wall in the stairwell. Would Harima ever look her way?
