The Repetition: Hallowed.
~ Chapter. 10

Vanitas and Kairi stumbled through the portal into a dark expanse and smothering coldness, previously escaping Namine's wretched clutch. He pushed Kairi away from him and she fell hard onto the cold ground, whimpering while her head filled up with painful memories that she began to recall.
Sora. The emotionless boy whom was standing near Vanitas with a peculiar stare flashed through her mind, his emotions tangled hard around her heart that seemed to beat once more with life. It hurt to know that she betrayed her friends over and over by a simple command by Namine, she was at her mercy just from taking out her memories.
The very thought sickened her. Namine. Her light, her nobody that's been heavily neglected for so long has gone insane, she didn't even bother to reunite herself with Kairi, that prospect her most. She'd rather control people than be whole.
Ventus is the same as Namine, insane and tortured without his darkness. The one standing before her, glaring at the castle fifteen feet away from us, radiating a dim light. He ignored her presence altogether. Kairi wonders if Vanitas knows that Ventus merged with Roxas to take out three Organization memebers.
She also wondered if Vanitas is insane like Ventus is. Was that the reason why Vanitas wants to be with Ventus? To restore their sanity? Namine never spoke of it, even though her mind was twisted so badly that it broke her.
Sora. In every way she remembered him. Childhood friends. Bestfrieds. Almost lover until Namine destroyed his memories and now he's nothing but a vacant puppet for Vanitas. Strange that she would be with him and Sora with Namine, she did something to them that made Vanitas grab onto her. But what? Did Namine restore parts of their memories? Is that why Vanitas fled?
Vanitas finally acknowledged her presence, grimacing at the split image of Namine, besides the blond hair and the clothing. Kairi had tears welling up in her purple eyes and sliding down her creamy skin while she trembled in pain, memories flooding her mind and pushing everything inside.
He sighed and reached down, grabbed a hold of her thin wrist and forcefully pulled her up. She shuddered from the sudden movement. Vanitas openly glared at her, swaying his hand to his side and slapping Kairi hard across the cheek with his back hand.
"Get a hold of yourself. I need answers and I don't need you crying over every damn memory that pops into your puny head," He hisses.
Kairi sniffles, bringing her hand up to her wounded cheek and strokes it, looking at the reflected helmet he always wore. The outfit reminded her of Riku, when he once succumbed to darkness.
"You were a prisoner, a commanding puppet for Namine. I know that you and her came upon Ventus, tell me where he is." Vanitas demanded in an icy tone that brought Kairi's mind to a stand still. The warm strange light radiating off of Ventus and Roxas's body as they merged into one, then Roxas/Ven disappearing through a portal to assassinate three nobodies.
Vanitas, however lost his composure and swiftly held her neck with both his hands and began to squeeze the breath out of her lungs. She struggled, her eyes pleading for him to stop but he gritted his teeth, his artificial heart pumping inside his hollowed chest as his impatience grew.
"Tell me where he is!"
"Ro..xas.." She said, struggling hard to mutter the words.
Vanitas loosened his grip, "What did you say?"
She grit her teeth in pain, "Roxas. He's inside Roxas!"
"What do you mean he's inside Roxas?" He asked, tilting his head to the side, letting his hold on her neck go and she stumbled back.
"He fused with him to take out three nobodies for Namine."
Vanitas scoffed, opening up a dark portal. "Now he's an assassin? Ventus doesn't have the stomach to kill another being, the cowards would only run."
Kairi's breath hitched and her eyes widened in horror, "No! Don't leave me here!" She screamed and ran after him, but the dark portal and Vanitas had disappeared and she fell into empty air. Sliding almost off the edge to oblivion.
The shock never leaving her mind, he had truly left her in the Realm of Darkness. No light attribute like herself should be here for a extended period of time. Namine, herself wouldn't dare come here again. A place she was tortured for endless years for the memories of Sora. Desperatly out of options at the time, she destroyed everyone's memories who were connected to Sora. The same time Ventus was released from his coma, however, for not merging with Vanitas, he had gone insane.
Everyone's memories of Sora were gone, and so did the connection towards everyone. Roxas blocked out every emotional capacity so he could kill Sora without merging with him. Namine went insane and disappeared, Kairi with her as her own puppet. Xion, the replica of Sora was used as storage for Namine. Riku disappeared as well, and Axel went back to the Organization.
Everything went back to his own chaotic way. At least until Ventus began curropting things and Vanitas wanting him back. That's when Namine found out that Sora was being used by Vanitas to track Ventus.
Kairi sobbed as she walked towards the stairs to the castle, as she pushed the door open and closed it behind her. She didn't bother looking around the room, it was white and porcelan and clean. She sat down on the steps and sighed, trying to figure out how to get out.
"Well, well, well. Look what I have here." Kairi looked up to find the source to the harsh voice and cruel laughter that echoed throughout the entire room. She gasped in shock and horror as she found him standing across the room from her.
"Kairi isn't it? How did you get here might I ask?"
Riku wondered with a twisted grin, a blade with peculiar eye pointed at her from across the room. He too was sitting on a pair of stairs, she hadn't sensed him and yet here he was, there was something completely off about him.
That's when she realized what he was, why he was so different. "Fabricated darkness." She sighed in relief. "You're not the real Riku."
The Riku Replica's lips twitched into a scowl. "How dare you say that to me, even though I was going to give you a tour of this wretched place."
Kairi smiled softly. "I have memories from Namine. I already know everything that has to do with this castle." A little she was lying, Namine herself had been captured here, but she did not know everything about this place besides encasing memories, manipulting, reconstructing, placing and destroying them.
The Riku Replica lowered his blade at the mention of the witch. "Namine. She left me here to.. what was the word?" He tapped his gloved finger against his lips in a mocking gesture before giving a menacing grin. "Rot."
Kairi frowned. "I'm sorry. Vanitas left me here too.. uhm.. rot."
His grin loosened into a sympathetic smile. "Vanitas. Isn't he Ventus's full darkness?"
Kairi nodded. "Yes. He wanted information from me after Namine reluctantly gave my memories back about the whereabouts of Ventus."
He chuckled, "You gave Ventus to Vanitas on a silver platter. Remind me to never be on your side." He snickered at her frown.
"I thought he'd take me with him."
The Riku Replica shook his head, "Are you serious? He brought you to The Realm of Darkness. A place where a light attribute, like yourself, can easily go insane. I'm quite surprised Aqua didn't die from boredom."
Kairi slumped her shoulders and twiddled her thumbs. The embarrassments of her mistakes on trusting Vanitas to take her with him grew in her mind. "Aqua. She escaped didn't she?"
The Riku Replica nodded, "Of course she did. With the help of Terra, but they are't here are they. It's just you and men until I decide to kill you out of boredom." H elet his eyes wander the brightness then back towards Kairi who furrowed her brows, her hands had clasped together to stop herself from shaking.
"Are you going to start crying?" He asked.
Kairi glanced away from his patronizing stare. She knew she couldn't summon a portal, only the darkness can, while the light use different means of transportation. Meanning she's going to be stuck here with the Riku Replica, most likely trying to lessen his boredom before he tries to kill her.
She let out an exhausted sigh, looked back towards the opposite staircase where he was previously sitting on, only to feel a cold blade at her throat where the heat fo Vanitas's gloved hands had been. The Riku Replica tilted his head and smiled, showing his white teeth as she moved closer towards her face, where her eyes widened in shock at how quick he was able to move.
"Tell me about the war, princess, I'm bored," He drawled out and she gulped in fear.
She bit her lip and was glad she had parts of her memories. The war was something she could tell him, there were things she remembered, a lot too inform of, even though his life is meaningless.

To Be Continued.
[Authors Notes]
Bringing in the Riku Replica and switching the original story is quite interesting. Even though in the original, Namine was like his master or something. In my story, he loathes her and since Kairi is Namine's original being, he possibly hates her too.
I didn't mean to make Kairi a fussy princess. But it must hurt to retrieve so many memories at ince and realize she was only a puppet, also that Vanitas left her in the Realm of Darkness.
Anyway.
