Previously in the new Queen

Larina took a seat and waved her hand at the seat before her, "I know our ways may seem outdated to you Maria, but you have to understand that though we are technologically advanced our people's beliefs are very much like your medieval times. Most women, even those in privileged circumstances, have little control over the direction their lives take. Their families usually arrange the marriages of young aristocratic women, and then only to their approved soul mate. Once they are widowed, women have legal independence and in many instances, autonomy over all their deceased husbands financial resources. The two main alternatives for a woman on Athoth is to marry or to 'take the veil' and become a Priestess. Almost all orders required women to live behind the walls of a temple or within an individual cell, living a life of contemplation, prayer and work. Most women, however, are married, usually as teenagers. Afterwards, they are responsible for managing the household, whether it is a great castle or a small peasant hovel. Wealthy women have servants, who assist them with cooking, cleaning and childcare, and so are left time to engage in other pursuits. Popular diversions for aristocratic women include religious activities, hunting, dancing and playing games. There are some Temples that Women attend to train as warriors, but only so that they may protect the other Temples that women serve at almost all our healers are women. Do you understand now Maria why we are making you a Countess?" Larina watched the young woman in front of her hoping that she had not scared her with the revelations.

Chapter 10

While Larina was showing Kyle and Maria their rooms and talking to Maria, Larek was trying to not wake Liz up as he moved to carry her to her rooms. Once Larina and the others had left Larek stepped into the transporter with Liz in his arms reaching out the arm that is under her legs her pressed on the touchpad and stated royal Suite. Once he reached the doors for the royal suite, he had to move around enough to be able to get Liz's hand to touch the touchpad, once done the computer system recognised Liz's DNA sequence and registered it to the doors of the Royal Suite. Inside the royal suite Larek made his way down the hallway of double doors, though it was very rare for all of the royal family to be leaving the planet at one time each ship that carried the royal family always had eight Royal suites. Five that were already programmed with the royal family of Athoth DNA sequences and three extra should they have any members of the royal families from any of the other four planets in their solar system on board. Stopping at the unclaimed rooms beside his, Larek again moved Liz enough to press her hand against the touchpad registering it as her room, the onboard computer confirmed the room registration with "Queen Elizabeth Parker, programmed to Queen's royal suite".

Waving Liz's hand over the touchpad, Larek entered the rooms and moved to the bedroom. Like the staterooms the royal suites had the same layout, the only difference was the gold trim and windows so that they could see the stars. The rooms that Liz were in had walls in a beautiful shade of sapphire blue, and carpets of emerald green. Once Larek had Liz in her room he put her under the cover of the bed and then left; leaving her to sleep in peace and went to find his mother who should have been back from talking to Maria and Kyle. Leaving the royal suites, Larek enters the transporter and stated 'computer room'. Entering the computer room Larek checked on the status of the downloading of all Earth's documents, these include all those from all sources including all secret databases. He checked on how the secret implants into Earth's internet was going and smiled when he saw that it was 100% complete, now no matter what happens on Earth if it is entered on the net or any database then it will automatically link and be download on to the servers back on Athoth. The hack into the Earth's cable was complete so they could now get Earth TV back on Athoth.

Larina walked into the computer rooms "Liz sleeping ok son?" Larek nodded in answer to his mother, "She stayed asleep through all the movement to get her rooms registered and into bed." Larina smiled at her son looked over the computers "50% done this is going faster than I thought it would we may be able to leave sooner, as these will continue while we are travelling home." Larek nodded and started to read over some of the FBI files when he saw Liz's name in them he stopped to read the file closer.

'Elizabeth Parker, Roswell, New Mexico, born 4th October 1983, suspect has been seen with the suspected aliens Maxwell Evans, Isabel Evans, Michael Guerin and Tess Harding. Miss Parker was shot at her parent's cafe in Roswell, yet she was never admitted to hospital for a gunshot wound; her uniform, which is in a sample bag, has the bullet hole and blood on it. The question is how did Miss Parker survive a gunshot wound to approximately the abdominal area and bleed out but not die? Test on the blood show to be completely human and that of belonging to Miss Parker when compared to blood test from childhood, could she be helping as aforementioned aliens? Plans to bring her in for interrogation are in the works.'

Larek swore and cursed Zan even more for leaving and leaving Liz to deal with this by herself, what if she had been taken in before he got here? She would have been subjected to tests and then they would have seen that her DNA had been changed and that she herself was changing.

Larek showed the file to his mother, and he for the first time in his life heard his mother swear.

"Larek, when we get back we are taking this to the council, they need to know that Zan was using his powers on Earth healing people, if he has healed anyone else they will also be changing; we will have to keep an eye on the Earth news and FBI reports". Larek agreed and went back to reading the files. He found the file about Zan when he was in the white room and what was done and shook his head how could he have been so stupid to be caught.

Larek left the computer room and headed back to the royal suite to get a few hours' sleep before Liz woke and wondered how the hell to get out of her rooms. A few hours later the computer system let him know that Liz was waking up, letting himself into Liz's room Larek took a seat on one of the couches facing away from the bedroom door as he had opened it so Liz could exit. When Liz woke up she found herself in a room in a bed but she could not remember how she got there, seeing the open door Liz got up and walked through to another room and saw Larek sitting in a chair. Walking around to the chair in front of him Liz took a seat. "Did you put me to bed?"

"I did, you fell asleep in the dining room, mother showed Maria and Kyle to their rooms and how to work their doors." Liz nodded and got up again and began walking around the room looking at everything, looking out the window she could see the old pod chamber where the Granolith was housed.

"This is a lounging room for you to entertain guests with should you wish to talk in your rooms; on the table is your own ship tablet this lets you access movies, books, music and well anything that is in the ship's systems. You can also contact other rooms like an intercom system that connects you to those rooms or that person; you can order meals to your rooms with it as well. The door on the right is the Bathroom, again just wave your hand across the touchpad to enter, the middle room is your bedroom and the room on the left is a small kitchenette, where you can make hot drinks and nibble food." Larek explained as he watched Liz walking around the room, looking down he spotted the tablet picking it he waved it at Liz to show her what he was talking about.

"Also Liz the rooms also have sensors these keep track of heart rate and breathing so if you should have a medical emergency then the ship's computer systems will sound an alarm. If you choose to read the books will be readable on the tablet, with music the playlist will be on the tablet, but the sound will leave the speakers around the room, and if it is a music video it will show up on the projector on the wall. All the rooms have speakers and you can select which rooms to play music in. Movies will be played the same way select the movie on the tablet and it will show projected on the wall with sound from the speakers you can adjust the volume on the tablet you can also adjust the lighting on the tablet when you enter or leave a room the lights will automatically turn on or off."

Liz looked back towards the bedroom she had left and noticed the lights had turned off. Walking over to the couch Liz took a seat and picked up the tablet that Larek had just been waving around, looking it over she noticed that when she picked it up it immediately turned on and was in English. Playing with it Liz found the music and saw that a few of her favourite bands were in the playlist, "Larek how do you have Earth music on here?" Laughing at Liz's shocked face he explained about how he was gathering data and that the on board computer system was being used to download all the data from the web and being streamed back to Athoth where it was being saved into a file on Earth.

"Liz there is something I need to tell you; the computer has been downloading all files from all over Earth, I came across files from the FBI. You were mentioned in a file and it talked about how you were shot, and that they were trying to figure out how you had survived without medical attention, they were planning on bringing you in for an interrogation and for testing, if they had of tested your blood they would have found the difference in your cells." Hearing this Liz looked at Larek with tears in her eyes. "Did he really leave me here to... well die if they had found out?"

Hearing the distress in Liz's voice Larek moved from the chair he was sitting on and sat beside Liz on the couch taking the woman he loved in his arms as she started to sob from what she now knew. A few moments later the on board computer let them know that Larina was at Liz's door, Larek re-explained to Liz that she had to tell the computer to open the door. Liz had the doors opened for Larina, the woman seeing the girl still crying in Larek's arms rushed to kneel before the young woman who was in way still just a girl, and took her from her son's arms and into hers, looking at her son for an explanation she waited. Larek looked at his mother and started to explain, "I have just told Liz of the file on her and about the FBI Wishing to bring her in for an interrogation, then she asked if they knew what they were leaving her behind to face, she then burst into tears and you arrived a minute or so later." Hearing the explanation Larina looked down at the young girl and in her head began to curse Zan again and the rest of the royal four that were sent to Earth.

After Liz had calmed down Larina showed her how to get into the bathroom and showed her the connecting door from the bedroom to the bathroom through the wardrobe so that Liz could have a shower and change her clothes.

While Liz was showering Larina and Larek sat talking quietly of how they were going to find out if Zan had healed anyone else while he was on Earth. However, if he had they did not know what they could really do apart from take them with them. Larek pulled his tablet out and searched for files on miraculous healings in and around Roswell in the last five years. A few seconds later he was swearing as he read a media article about a hospital in Phoenix, where a ward of young children who had terminal cancer who were sick, and not expected to live long. Then on Christmas Day all of the children were healthy and cancer free, it also talked about how each child had a silver handprint on them, thus causing some of them to believe it was a work of God. Reading it, he realised that there were six children in that room that night, cursing he starts compiling a list of names and addresses, how he is going to explain to six children that they have to leave their home and parents behind to go live somewhere else he has no idea.
