A/N I do not own the vampire diaries. All characters and some dialogue is the property of julie plec and co. This is the final chapter to the story. I didnt intend for it to be this short but i've been really busy so I thought of ending it in a way that Sierra is just one of the many characters that Klaus had met in his really long life. So i hope you enjoy it. Thanks everyone for reviewing, sorry this chapter came up so late. Enjoy!

The trip back was a dreadful one for Sierra. It was time for her to leave. Klaus had no use for her anymore and there was no deal that prevented him from ripping her heart out or killing her. Rebekah knew this too and feigned indifference in front of Klaus. She was all ready to go, having just said goodbye to Rebekah. She was staring out her room admiring the view for the last time when she heard him come in.

"Our deal is done" she said, not facing him. She heard him snicker a little at this and say "I am well aware of that"

She finally turned around and faced him "Thank you, for everything" she said while closing the space between them.

"I know I tried your patience, but I thank you for never losing it enough to kill me" she quipped at the times he had her hands around her throat. He hid his smile and ignored the twinge in his heart at the thought that she will be gone soon. She was right in front of him now. "Thank you" she whispered again and she embraced him. She wrapped her hands tightly around his neck and buried her head in his shoulder. Klaus had never felt anything like it. He hesitantly wrapped his arm around her waist tightly in response. They stayed like that for a few moments, before she finally pulled away and disappeared.

Klaus went back to his room and picked up his sketch pad and drew her. She was one of the many people in his life that had come and gone, but the rare one that left stil alive. He didn't intend on forgetting . One he was done he glanced at it. The truth was, he would never see her again. He fought down the small part of him that regretted asking her to stay. He couldn't risk having any ties to anyone. His humanity started to peek through and he adamantly switched it off. It was a liability.

Rebekah knocked on his door and walked in. Klaus looked up at her, his expression was one of indifference. "Nik? I have something for you" she said as she walked up to him. She put something on his bed and smiled sadly at him. "It was her brothers" she said before leaving. He knew who Rebekah was referring to, Klaus slowly walked up to the edge of his bed. He saw a chain of black string and a symbol of intricate circles. With it was a note with unfamiliar writing. The symbol means inner strength; something you have that others tend to underestimate. Consider this a token of our brief but memorable encounter. Love, Sierra. She knew him too well, it was uncanny.

For that very reason, Klaus didn't hesitate to put it on and the note, he kept with his drawing.
