Aw, it's the last chapter of the story. :( All well, there'll be more in the future, I promise! And now my fellow kittens, it is time for Ch.9 to begin. Enjoy!

Chapter 9

The thoughts of seeing her parents again was both exciting and horrifying for Kairi. She didn't know if her father would just yell at her like he did the last time she saw him and shun her from the family forever, or he will fall to his knees in tears and thank God for bringing his daughter back home safely. Either way you looked at it she really hoped that the second thought would happen.

It had taken some time but the next day soon came and just as the sun set high in the sky Kairi was soon face to face with her house. A dry gulp came to her throat as she got off of her horse and put him inside the stables so he could rest from the long travel they had just made last night. Kairi petted him on the head as she unloaded her bag and took out Vanitas's Keyblade and the pendant that the Emperor gave to her as she started making her way to family garden.

Once there she wasn't all too surprised to see her father sitting there on the bench next to the cherry blossom tree. At first, Kairi just felt like dropping the stuff within her hands and run away, but she knew better than to do that. Who knows how much hurt and worry she must have given her family after leaving just like that within the night.

Cautiously, Kairi took a deep breath before she walked towards her father. It took the man a couple minutes before he realized that someone was walking towards him. When he looked up to see who it was though all color from his face fell as he stared up at his daughter in shock to see her before him, and alive as well.

"Kairi!" Cloud said as he reached from his daughter, but only stopped when Kairi dropped to her knees and bowed.

"Father, I've brought you the Keyblade of Vanitas." She said as she handed the weapon to him as he cautiously took it from her. "And the Crest of the Emperor! They're gifts to honor the Fa family." Kairi finished as she bowed her head again after handing her father the pendant as she waited for him to speak.

But instead of words she instead got a hug as Cloud dropped the gifts beside her and wrapped his arms around his daughter tightly.

"The greatest gift in honor is having you for a daughter." He whispered to her as he pulled back just a little to wipe a few tears from Kairi's face with his thumb. "I've missed you so."

"I've missed you too, Papa." Kairi said as she wrapped her arms around her father's neck and hugged him again.

While off far to the side, Tifa and Yuffie were watching the two as they both just smiled at the sweet sight. Just seeing Kairi safe and back home just made the whole place feel at home again now that Tifa and Cloud's daughter was back home safe and sound. Yuffie on the other hand just huffed and crossed her arms.

"Huh? She brings home a Keyblade? If you ask me she should've brought home a man!" Yuffie exclaimed as Tifa just shook her head at her dear friend.

"Excuse me, does Kairi live here?" a voice sounded as both Tifa and Yuffie turned around to only see a man with brown spiky hair and blue eyes in the door way while carrying a helmet in his hands.

Both Yuffie and Tifa were shocked as can be to see a man from the army looking for Kairi as they both pointed out towards the garden, dumbstruck.

"Thank you." He said as he made his way towards the garden.

"Woo! Sign me up for the next war!" Yuffie exclaimed in awe while Tifa just rolled her eyes at her.

"Honorable Cloud, I – Kairi!" Sora exclaimed as he saw the red haired girl looking at him as if almost surprised and happy to see him here. The look of just seeing the girl again just made Sora lose all of his words that he was going to say before to her father, but now all it was gone in an instant as he scrambled around in his head to figure out what to say. "Uh…you forgot your helmet. Well, actually it's your helmet, isn't it, I mean –"Sora stuttered again.

Kairi just smiled up at him as she took the helmet from his hands to only make the young teen stop talking as she asked, "Would you like to stay for dinner?"

"Would you like to stay forever?" Yuffie shouted but to only get a shake of the head from Kairi as Sora just grinned at the comment.

"Dinner would be great." He said as he took Kairi hand within his and led her towards the house.

While this was going on, Aqua was watching scene from the temple as she just sighed at the two teens as if she knew something that no one else did. However, the short moment of quietness was soon taken away when Axel hopped up next her and said, "Come on, tell me who did a good job."

Aqua just rolled her eyes at him and sighed heavily to herself. "Oh, alright. You can be a guardian again."

"AAAAHHHH-HHHAAAA! WHOOHOOHOOHOOHOOOO!" Axel cheered as he jumped up-and-down on the floor while Namine rang the gong as all the ancestors come out, "Take it, Namine!" He exclaims as the light blue cricket starts banging on a set of drums while all of the ancestors start dancing together.

"You know, she gets it from my side of the family!" one of the ancestor's say while dancing.

Axel in the meantime grabs onto a chain and swings on it to only yell and fall off of it and land outside with a groan.

"Guardians." Aqua mumbles to herself while rolling her eyes as well.

"Thank you, Axel." Kairi says as she leans down and kisses him on the forehead. Suddenly, Pluto, followed by a herd of chickens, burst into the temple.

"AXEL!"

And that's it! I hope you guys enjoyed this little story of mine. Plus, thank you guys so much for being patient with me for taking this long to finally complete this story for you guys.
