Nurse Druitt had always enjoyed having a corn dog with her shopping.

It gave her time to indulge in her favorite fast food while perusing a few magazines at the store, far away from her husband's critical eyes.

It was a habit that nearly cost her her life.

She was standing by the newspaper shelves at the front of Storybrooke's supermarket when she absentmindedly looked up from the latest gossip surrounding J-Lo and that magnificent ass of hers at the sound of the sliding doors.

In walked, side by side, both bent over an extensive grocery shopping list, the mayor and the sheriff of their small, bewitchingly beautiful, town.

Nurse Druitt had a momentary lapse of essential memory at the image, that made her forget all about the food still nestled in her mouth.

As she breathed in deeply,in shock, a few corn crumbs became dislodged and made their errant way down her windpipe, causing the woman to almost choke.

She began to cough furiously until a strong, broad hand between the shoulder blades dislodged the intruder and two productive coughs later, she was able to breathe freely once more.

Marcus, the town's carpenter smiled benignly down at her.

"Are you alright?" he asked in his soft voice, and Nurse Druitt remembered, that she was going to need her cuckoo's clock looked after.

He had such a nice voice.

And was easy on the eyes, too.

Such a delicious,delicious piece of a man.

And looking and getting your things fixed wasn't cheating after all.

After her grateful nod her hero sauntered off and the Nurse remembered what had led to her having had a corn dog for probably the last time in her life.

And true enough there were Emma Swan and Regina Mills.

Shopping.

Together.

And not friendly clothes or shoes shopping.

But grocery shopping.

Emma had a basket that she carelessly dragged by her left, while the mayor read off the list, pointing to this or that object, obviously a lot more familiar with the aisles than the newcomer to town.

There would be an occasional eyeroll from the blonde's side while she thought the dark haired woman wasn't looking, but she still reached up dutifully for the things that were just out of Regina's reach.

But what surprised the nurse the most wasn't the domesticity of it all.

It was the hint of the smile the mayor shot her companion when she had had to reach up to a particularly high place with quite some effort.

The Sheriff didn't notice, but the nurse did.

She smoothed out the magazines she had read, went over to the cashier to pay for her purchases and decided not to tell any of her friends of the things she had seen today.

That blasted clock of hers wouldn't need fixing either.

She never liked it anyways.
