Sooooo I thought I'd make short sidestories, just to give a lil bit of extra insight on their lives n stuff~. Well this is kinda angsty but it gets fluffier.

"Aomine?..."

"Yeah..what is it?"

He turned around and waited for his question. He seemed a bit hesitant from the moment he opened his mouth, his eyes focused on the floor. It was kind of hard to guess what he was thinking.

"What if...what if you turned me...into...you know"

Aomine immediately turned around, and continued with washing the dishes. It was his turn today, and right now it was the perfect excuse to put this matter aside.

"Is there something wrong? Did I say something bad..?"

He still kept quiet, scrubbing the dishes clean, mulling over his reply. He wasn't going to be stupid about this, or he'd hurt him. He had to be honest, as honest as he could get.

"You...you don't know what you're asking.."

Kagami walked closer to him, and raised his hand to touch him, but pulled back. He still didn't know what had Aomine get so worked up. He was starting to worry, if not have a sudden wave of sorrow come at him, from the way he kept silent.

"I just...hoped to be with you like this. I wanted to be ...equal to you, to be someone worthy to be with you"

Aomine paused and put down the dishware. He was so frustrated right now, torn between what to say and do about this. He knew where he was coming from with this. He knew, his inhuman strength, and that dark aura he had, made it seem like he had powers out of this world. He knew that Kagami saw him like some sort of God among humans, and even if he'd never realize or admit, a part of him was scared of this. He'd one day come to the realization that Aomine is dangerous, and leave him, or even worse, hate him. Because no matter for how long Aomine had stayed in the human world, one day, he'd lose himself because of something frivolous and he'd end up ruining everything. Nothing could convince him otherwise, because he knew himself. And he knew that no matter what, Kagami should never get hurt, not by anyone and especially not by him. He'd rather have his guts butchered and his intestines eaten by dogs than make that precious soul weep from pain.

"Kagami...you are. You are worthy to be with me, more than anyone..."

"But why, why can't I be as strong as you? I want to protect you like you protect me , goddamn it "

"Because you don't fucking know how it is to be a monster, and as long as I'm still breathing you never will come to know of it or any of this shitty lifestyle"

" You think I'm not good enough? Is that it? That I won't be able to be like you?"

Aomine snapped so bad at that moment, and he rushed to him, pinning him on the wall with so much force, Kagami thought his bones would shatter. He had started to misunderstand everything he said. Maybe because he wasn't that eager of having this conversation, maybe because he wanted to avoid this altogether and leave Kagami be. But mostly because he didn't want to hurt him. Not knowing means not torturing your mind at night with the ifs and buts this topic would bring.

"Aomine..you're..hurting me"

His grip loosened up a bit, but his eyes were still glued on his face, slowly lowering to focus on his lips. He brought a finger to his chin, and pulled them slightly apart, enough to give him a slow but tender kiss.

"I don't know if I've said this...but I love you more than you will ever realize. You've given my life a meaning. And by asking me this, you're asking me to take yours away. You don't want this, you don't want to be like this. I'd rather you left me to my misery again than have me bring you this feeling."

His voice was filled with such pain and sorrow, Kagami felt his heart ache just by hearing him . He slowly came to realize what he meant, though albeit a bit confused still.

"I'm asking you to trust me..please. Don't..insist on this"

"Alright..I-...sorry for being so relentless"

He kissed his forehead and smiled at him, brushing his hand along his cheek.

"It's alright, that's what I like about you, your adamant nature. Though..just to end this topic, I'm doing this for your..own good. Don't misunderstand anything, or think that I don't find you a worthy mate"

"Mate...?"

Kagami blinked and held his hands over his mouth, muffling his laughter. Seriously he knew Aomine had been on this earth longer than his mind could fathom, but he should be up to date with things.

"Yes..why? why are you laughing? Did I say something?"

"No it's just that...you talk like an old person"

He couldn't keep it up anymore and so he let it out, laughing so hard he clenched his sides.

"You-...making fun of your elders like that!"

He chuckled, and jumped on him, hugging him and pinching his cheeks. Kagami was a laughing mess by then, and Aomine was staring at him intently, smiling to himself. He had a glowing wonder in his life, right there in his arms.

A/N Ehh well I haven't updated in years but I'm keen on doing so from now on. Summer break whadduuup.
