(Normal POV)
Rima ran into Nagihiko's open arms and sobbed heavily. They stayed like that for a while until Nagihiko pulled back and put his hands on Rima's tiny shoulders.
"What the fuck did he do to you?" Nagihiko demanded, bitterness in his voice. He wiped a tear away from Rima's cheek.
"Nothing. He was about to, then these two came and saved me." Rima stated. She turned to Ikuto and Amu, then ran from Nagihiko's arms and into Amu's. Amu was caught by surprise, but recovered and kissed the top of Rima's head.
"You stay here until we can find your parents." Tadase said and patted Rima's head. Rima pulled away and scowled at Tadase. Tadase's face fell and he sighed and left the room.
"So, you're Rima Mashiro?" Amu asked. Rima nodded softly and held out her hand to the pinkette. Amu took the blonde's hand and smiled.
"I'm Amu Hinamori, and this is Ikuto Tsukiyomi." Amu introduced. Ikuto waved silently to Rima. After the greetings, Rima went back into Nagihiko's arms. She was so small compared to the tall purple-headed young man. Their height must have been at least a foot apart.
"Excuse me." Amu said as she stood up and left the living room, heading for the balcony. Ikuto waited awhile, debating whether to follow the pinkette, then got up and followed her footsteps to the small balcony. After shutting the door behind him, Ikuto walked to the railing and stood next to Amu.
"What'd you come out here for?" Ikuto asked, looking at the pinkette's face. Amu's face was covered by her bangs.
"When we went to save Rima, I thought I saw my little sister in Easter. I don't know if what I saw was my imagination or not, but I'm really afraid of what is happening if my eyes aren't playing tricks on me. Ami could be hurt. You saw what was about to happen to Rima. What would they do to Ami?" Amu explained, tears leaking from her eyes without her noticing.
"Don't say that. Ami is probably living a happy life in a much better place than Easter. Don't worry about her, because I promise she isn't in that hell ok? Listen, don't cry. Because it makes me sad that a beautiful girl like you is shedding tears." Ikuto concluded. The last remark made Amu's head snap up.
"Wha-?" Amu started before she was interruped. Ikuto has one of his hands on Amu's pale cheek, and his lips resting on her's. Amu's eyes widened as Ikuto pulled away and walked back inside, leaving a stunned pinkette. Amu leaned on the railing and put a finger to her lips. She felt her face burning and her heart beating fast. But, she was stopped from thinking when the balcony door swung open to reveal Rima. Rima was smiling ear to ear as she attacked Amu with another hug.
"Whoa kid, don't squeeze my organs out of me." Amu said as she kissed the top of Rima's head. Rima looked up and smied at the older woman.
"Thanks again. Really, I don't know what would have happened if you two didn't save me. By the way, what's the relationship with you and Ikuto?" Rima asked with a wink. Amu blushed almost as pink as her hair. Rima giggled and poked Amu's nose.
"I saw he kissed you." Rima added, making Amu blush a darker shade of red.
"I've barely known him for two weeks," Amu explained, "He saved me when I was going to end my life for... reasons. His sister is in Easter. I'm helping him get her back. He kissed me, but I don't know why." Rima smiled at the last part, then grabbed Amu's hand and led her off of the balcony and into Amu's room. Rima then locked the door and pushed Amu onto the bed.
"Ok. Details. I know Tadase, that girly bastard, but why is he here?" Rima asked. Amu sighed, a frown forming on her face.
"He's my husband. Or rather, was. I'm much happier without him now." Amu explained. Rima nodded.
"So my turn to ask questions." Amu started. "What's Nagihiko to you?" This question caused Rima to blush a darker color than blood and bury her face in a pillow, letting her hair cascade around her.
"He's a stupid, idiot, cross-dressing, ugly guy. But he's also a wonderful, sweet, handsome, smart, cool guy. And I love him. But he doesn't love me back." Rima groaned and layed on her side, hugging the pillow to her chest. Amu giggled softly and brushed a strand of gold hair out of Rima's face.
"And how do you know he doesn't love you back?" Amu questioned. The short blonde looked up with a confused look.
"Well how are we going to find out?" Rima asked, pushing her hair behind her shoulder.
"You'll see."
