If you think Percy and Harry is a bit too OCC, just say so. Also review asked for more Harry/Percy bonding, so here it is…

Harry's P.O.V

Chapter 10

Harry finally sat down at the Gryffindor table, after coming back from their common room, keeping his word and delivering Harry's brother's Phoenix, Lily.

Lily.

Harry didn't know what to think about the name or the bird. Merlin, even Percy confused Harry! Harry liked his brother, don't get him wrong, it just took a couple days to actually become fond of Percy, the first two days Harry's smiles were forced and his concern was strained.

But the hate was long gone.

And now?

Harry just couldn't explain it. It was like he had several different functions:

Death Eaters. Bad.

The Order. Good

And Percy. Protect.

It was so simple and yet confusing simultaneously. After what he heard had happened with Gabe - Harry couldn't even think that name without becoming furious - Harry felt a sense of protectiveness over Percy, like an older brother should.

Harry may not be able to say it out loud, but Harry loved his little brother. Percy was a part of his past, his blood and his family. They were both orphans and Harry felt a connection to him, stronger than Ron's or Hermione's. And they have only known each other for two weeks.

It how family works, I guess. Harry thought.

Harry sat down across from Ron and Hermione who seemed to be in a whispered argument, again.

"For the last time, Ronald." Hermione snapped. "Percy is not going to be put in Slytherin!"

"He could be though." Ron muttered.

"Why do you think Percy is going to be sorted into Slytherin?" Harry demanded, crossly. "That's where all the evil Witches and Wizards end up."

"I know."

The giant doors opened sending the hall into synchronized silence, and Professor McGonagall marched through the doors followed by a hundred scared looking eleven year olds. Harry strained his neck, searching the crowed for Percy. The fourteen year old was last, a little apart from the other students looking flustered in his robes.

As soon as Percy came into view, whispering broke out.

From Harry's left George and Fred were clapping and yelling. "Go Percy!"

Percy gazed over and saw the twins cheering him on, he lost some of his nervousness by then but was still fiddling with his robes. Harry sent him a thumbs up and Hermione a smile, which got Percy the rest of the way.

"Students." Dumbledore began, loud enough to send everyone into silence once more. "I welcome you to another year at Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry!"

Everyone applauded politely.

McGonagall stepped up next to the stool, the sorting hat in her hand and a list of names in the other. She read out the names and students came up one by one.

(These names mean nothing. There are not a part of this FanFic! I just thought it would be fun to put their names in!)

"Callie Jacobs." (The Fosters)

"Gryffindor!"

"Sam Winchester." (Supernatural)

"Ravenclaw!"

"Peeta Mellark." (The Hunger Games)

"Hufflepuff!"

"Caleb Prior." (Divergent)

"Slytherin!"

(Again, theses names are used purely for entertainment use only.)

Harry didn't realize he was holding his breath until Percy was the last one left. Harry could tell Percy didn't like any of the attention that was on him.

"We have some good news." Dumbledore announced. "This year we have a new student all the way from America."

Dumbledore cleared his throat. "This is Percy Jackson and he is fourteen. Also," Dumbledore paused, his blue eyes twinkling. "Percy is the youngest son of Lily and James Potter, brother of Harry Potter."

There was dead silence.

And an outburst of sound erupted through the Great Hall.

Students were shouting "No way!" and "It can't be true!". Others were glancing from Percy to Harry and Harry to Percy, then exclaimed, "You can see it! They look just alike!"

"Silence." Dumbledore shouted. "It is true, now we shall proceed with Percy's sorting."

Harry watched Percy walk up the steps and sit on the stool; the whole hall in a deafening silence.

McGonagall was about to put the hat on Percy's head when the hat shouted out, inches from his head. "That's close enough."

If it was possible the hall got louder but stayed in silence.

Percy went white.

"It's hard to say." The hat croaked. "You could fit into everyone of them. You are loyal, and brave and cunning, maybe not extremely smart but you could do well in Ravenclaw."

Harry's hopes were sinking.

"But, to be wasting your talents, so…" The hat croaked.

Harry froze.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Harry jumped to his feet clapping, Hermione, Fred, George, Ginny and surprisingly, Neville joined in and soon the whole Gryffindor house were on their feet clamping and whooping as Percy made his way down to the table, taking the spot Harry reserved for Percy. Harry clapped him on the back and Fred and George were still cheering as a relived looking Percy sat down.

"Well done, Percy!" Harry whispered in Percy's ear when the hall reduced into mutterings. "I knew you were going to be in Gryffindor."

Percy grinned, slowly, but was still self-conscious of all the murmurs and the looks he was receiving.

"Let the feast begin." Dumbledore clapped his hands, and food of all kinds appeared on the table.

Harry settled into his bed, finally feeling at home. On Harry's left, Ron was already out cold and snoring five seconds after his head hit his pillow. And Percy, was on his right after asking Dean to swap beds with Percy.

Harry didn't know why Percy was in their dormitory, he was supposed to be in fourth year, but Harry didn't complain. After all, many people were less than pleased with Harry at the moment because of his 'conspiracy theories' on Voldemort's return. And Harry didn't like Percy taking the short end of the stick in this situation. Especially since Harry's brother was treated like a disease (after what happened with the whole sorting issue) and Percy's less than pleasant experience with Malfoy on the train.

Harry's mind wandered slightly off topic at the thought of Malfoy.

In the train, when Draco caught a glance of Percy, his sour expression seemed so surprised, his sleek, blonde eyebrows might have fallen off. Harry smiled at the thought. It was like Draco knew Percy from somewhere…

That, of course, was impossible, Harry concluded. Percy was new to the whole Witch and Wizarding World, no way did Percy know a git like Malfoy!

It must because we look alike, Harry nodded mentally. They do look quite similar, the only few differences is their height (Percy was a couple inches shorter than Harry); their eye colour - Harry's were emerald, and Percy's eyes were sea-green - and the fact that Harry wore glasses. Other than that, Percy and Harry could have been twins.

Percy was sitting on the windowsill, Lily on his lap, stroking her feathers repetitively - much like Harry did with Hedwig on his first night in Hogwarts, away from the Dursleys. Percy was gazing out of the window with tired eyes, watching the lake churn, silently and slowly.

Harry had guessed it was already past midnight.

"Hey Perce." Harry whispered, slightly trying not to wake the others.

Percy moved his head a little; his eyes shone through the darkness. "Yeah?"

"You should get some sleep because..." Harry rattled his brain for an excuse. "We, um, have classes in the morning, really early, and breakfast, too." Truth is, Harry had noticed the bags under Percy's eyes for the past week, and Harry could care less about the classes.

"Sure." Percy glanced out of the window, and gave Lily one last pet before climbing into his bed.

Harry flopped back into bed, and let his tired eyes shut and the darkness consume him.

Sorry it was so short.
