Sorry for the long wait, I have had writer's block as well as lots of family issues. My family is living in a trailer that is falling through and we are having financial problems and can't move. If anyone can help even a little will help I would greatly appreciate it, and even if you can't at least spread the word. I will at least try to post short chapters if I can but I have just been so depressed living in a place that caving in.

Once gathered in the largest room of the mansion the murmurs that had been going on stopped as Sasuke walked into the room with Naruto at his side. After pausing briefly to survey the small crowd of about twenty, give or take, not counting his pack mates and the three Halflings; the young wolf then spoke. "I am Sasuke Uchiha; mate of Naruto Uzumaki, and as of now your alpha." There was stunned silence then a few murmurs before attention was once again given to the raven; acceptance. Sasuke continued. "We will be leaving shortly and heading to an older territory of your former alpha. I'm sure you have heard about the recent attacks, for this reason we will move as a pack to a new territory."

Pausing once again dark eyes looked towards Naruto before once again facing forward. "Dividing the pack in this case will help with security and once the threat that is invading all territories is eliminated you will be allowed to move freely between the packs to visit your loved ones." At this there seemed to be a sense of relief that washed over those who were worried for their other family members that were not coming along. "As we travel those who are carrying will be in the center, those who can fight will keep your guard up at all times. It will take a week's time to get where we intend to go so we will be stopping at intervals to set up camp. We will rotate shifts of lookouts to keep those who cannot fight safe at all times."

Minato hugged his son one last time before turning towards the young Uchiha. "Have a safe journey and take care of my son and your newly formed pack."

Sasuke nodded. "I will, Gaara and his pack have decided to travel with us until we reached our new territory."

Naruto smiled and let out a small giggle as his mate pulled him close. "Yeah, he wants to see that we arrive safely. You know how he is with me since he's a bit of an overprotective brother type and all. He wants to see if Sasuke's capable of taking care of me and how well he handles the alpha role." At this the wolf scoffed, like he needed someone to watch over his shoulder to see if he's a good pack leader or mate.

The older blonde fox chuckled. "Well, you best be off." Sasuke nodded once again before coaxing his mate to shift in order to carry him. It had been the raven's idea to have all of the pregnant pack members to shift so that they could move swiftly out of Minato's territory before sunrise. After putting good distance behind them then they could stop to rest and allow the pregnant ones to shift back to do what they wanted until they moved out again. Minato had to agree that the Uchiha's plan was a good one since it would allow them to shave some time, maybe a couple of days, off their trip. The older fox sighed as he saw the pack move out and looked to the stars that littered the night sky. "Watch over them, Kushina."

The sun was high in the sky and the pack had been stopped to rest for a couple of hours now. It had been several days after they set out and they were close to the new territory. Only a few hours away from what Kakashi had said. There had been no signs of snakes but Sasuke wasn't going to just let his guard down. Naruto pulled his mate down beside him in order to get the wolf to eat something and rest before they headed out in a few more hours. "Come on Sasuke; take a rest the others can handle scouting the perimeter for a while. Besides Juugo has some birds scouting the area as well so we will be fine."

"He's right boss, I'll make sure that the scouts are switched out so that no one is too tired when we head out again." Suigetsu said as he walked up to the couple. "Karin, set up a small tent for you to rest in for a while. You're the only one that hasn't had any sleep since we left."

"Hn, I'm fine I don't need to rest right now." Sasuke grunted as he folded his arms across his bare chest. The blonde fox frowned before grinning and leaning over to whisper in his mate's ear. The wolf stood pulling Naruto up with him. "Where's the tent." The silver haired half-demon rolled his eyes before pointing in the direction Karin had set it up at. He shook his head as the pack's alpha and his mate left as quickly as they could.

Naruto yawned and stretched as he sat up. Rubbing his swollen belly he smiled and looked over at his sleeping mate. Sasuke looked so relaxed as he lay sleeping though that didn't last very long as black ears twitched and onyx orbs shot open. Blue eyes blinked; the blonde opened his mouth to ask what was wrong when the wolf pulled him down and whispered in his ear. "Stay still, relax, and close your eyes."

The fox nodded softly and did as told. Moments later Naruto heard a soft hiss and movement. His blue eyes popped open quickly to see a large snake about to strike. The blonde's body tensed and just as the snake struck a pale hand shot out to grip the creature. Naruto sat up swiftly as Sasuke killed the snake. "How did it get past everyone?"

The wolf turned to his mate and sighed. "We have to get everyone ready to move out before more of them come." He said as he stood and wrapped his pelt around his waist. Slipping on his leg warmers he waited for Naruto to put on some clothes before they walked out of their tent. Sasuke spotted Karin not too far away. "Karin, where is Suigetsu?"

"He went out to scout over an hour ago. He said he was going to relieve one of the other scouts but I don't remember anyone coming back. Juugo's still gone as well…you—you don't think something has happened do you?" She asked as her tail swished nervously.

"Shit, Karin, gather everyone together and don't let your guard down. I'll take a couple others with me and go look for those out scouting. Naruto," He said then turned towards his little mate. "Stay close to Karin and make sure everyone stays calm. I'll be fine so don't worry, I will bring the others back as well." Sasuke then leaned down and gave the blonde fox a gentle kiss before rushing off shouting for Kiba and Neji.

Naruto sighed, he was a little worried but if Sasuke said he would be fine he would believe the wolf. He smiled before turning to the red-headed cat. "Let's go gather the others."

Suigetsu panted as he gripped his bleeding side and gave a quick glance to Juugo across from him. The bigger man's left shoulder was wounded badly but they both stood their ground against this newcomer. Tch, just lovely as if getting ambushed by the damn snakes wasn't bad now we run into this bastard. He thought.

Green eyes narrowed as a red bushy tail lashed back and forth agitatedly. Pink lips pulled back into a snarl showing off sharp canines. "Why are you in my territory?" His voice was deep and rough from little use.

The silver haired half demon frowned. "The hell it's your territory, this area belongs to—"

Before Suigetsu could finish his sentence the wild looking man charged him. Juugo tried to move but couldn't get to his friend fast enough. The water demon's violet eyes were wide as a clawed hand stopped inches away from his chest. Green orbs snapped to his wrist to see a pale hand wrapped around it before glaring at the man who stopped him. No not a man, a kid. The wild red head growled causing onyx eyes to narrow in defiance.

"Who the hell are you?" The red fox snapped.

"My name is Uchiha Sasuke, and these two are members of my pack. I don't take kindly to those who attack my pack." The raven said with a slight growl.

The red-headed fox's glare became harsher. "What is an Uchiha doing on my territory?"

A thin dark brow rose. "We are headed towards an older territory that once belonged to Namikaze Minato."

"That bastard left his land unattended for years; it is my territory now so leave!"

"And who might you be exactly?"

"The name's Kyuubi, now get the fuck off my land Uchiha."

Sasuke narrowed his dark eyes. "I can't do that, this territory was handed over to me."

A deep growl tore from the red fox's throat. "As if I'd just hand it—"

"Sasuke!" Kiba shouted.

Onyx orbs glanced over and froze as he picked up on the sound of faint howling. Hinata. His eyes widened slightly, the camp was under attack. "Naruto."

Green eyes glanced in the direction of the howl, his tail twitching in agitation. "Naruto?..." Kyuubi asked under his breath. "Kushina's boy?"

Sasuke glared. "I would ask how you know him, but now is not the time for asking questions." Looking at Neji he said. "Tend to their wounds, Kiba come with me we have to hurry." After saying this he took off at full speed.

The red head swished his tail as he threw a bored glance towards the others in the area. He then dashed off in the direction the Uchiha was headed.

Naruto didn't know what to do, there were snakes surrounding them, large snakes that towered over them. There were small whimpers and cries as the pregnant females huddled together trying their best to protect their young ones they were carrying. A couple of the males where badly injured as the others fought on.

Iruka and Karin where pulling the injured away from the fight when one of the snakes lunged towards the brunette. Blue eyes widened and the blonde's feet moved on their own. "IRUKA!"

Kakashi had whipped his head around only to be flung into a tree by the snake he was engaged in battle with. He grunted at the impact and struggled to his feet, his mismatched eyes widening as he seen Naruto wrap himself around Iruka in an attempt to move him out of the way. It was as if it all was happening in slow motion. The silver haired fox scrambled in the direction of his mate and young charge. Kakashi pushed himself to run faster, he had to get there… if he didn't… if he didn't then…

This may be shorter than other chapters but at least it is something that I could give you all for being so very nice and encouraging me.
