[So I don't really think the last chapter was too dark, but eh, I am a bit rusty in my writing. ^^; Sorry about that tease, maybe one of these days I will get really dark and disturbed. who knows! With age comes experience! EDIT: I tried to be responsible with my writing...but i realise the story is what I want to make it...and so unleash the fantasy!]
My little 'stand off' lasted about 3 hours. I was honestly surprised Sesshomaru didn't try to bust down the door or get into the room. I was feeling a little depressed. My head had been spinning with questions and I had been re-playing the scenes in my head over and over. What happened? Why did all of this matter to me? I laid on the ground and just stared at the door. I wish someone could tell me what was going on. As if by magic I heard a knocking on the door. I sat up slowly and just sat there. Sesshomaru had slid the door open and looked in. His eyes were piercing my soul again.
"I think it is about time to explain things to you..." he said as he walked in and closed the door behind him. My heart started to pound. He sat down directly in front of me. I slid until my back was against the wall. Why was I so nervous? I was going to get more answers and I was sweating like a whore in church. Sesshomaru just closed his eyes. "I had told you earlier that there was someone chasing after you, that much you do know. I also told you that I was not sure why or the reasons behind it." Ok, nothing new so far. He just looked up to me. "However I didn't anticipate your powers or memories coming to you so soon. That must have been decided long before anything." what? Powers? Memories? I mean it was not a far-fetched idea at this point but still. I rubbed my head.
"Ok...hang on...powers? Memories? What does this all mean?" I asked.
"...do you know anything about reincarnations?" He asked. Reincarnations? Like Buddhism?
"Uh, yeah...like if you die and come back as a bug or something based on like your karma or something...right?" I asked. Sesshomaru nodded.
"Yes, a while ago there lived a very powerful half demon girl who worked for Naraku, the man perusing you. From what I understand, you are the reincarnation of that girl. If I had to guess the reason behind Naraku hunting you would be that he wants you to work for him again." Sesshomaru stated. That was a lot to take in. I was a reincarnation...of a girl...who was a half demon? My head was throbbing. I guess he noticed my struggle with this information. I was suddenly wrapped by his boa. It was surprisingly warm and soft. I looked at it, then back at him. There was a softness in his eyes then. I felt safe and warm in that very moment. All of the worries and stresses in my body melted away for just a brief moment. He stood up and turned his back to me. "Sleep, we need to get up early and move quickly." he said with a smooth voice, before leaving the room. I looked back down at the boa and stuffed my face into it. It smelled nice. I laid back down while the new information washed over me. I was the reincarnation of a half demon bitch. Excellent. Hard to believe but I was still confused as to what this had to do with me. I couldn't really sleep at all. I had to live with the fact that my past life, I.E. I, killed lots of people. The sun rose before I knew it and Rin came into the room with a smile on her face.
"Good morning!" her sweet sing-song voice rang softly. I just sat up to smile at her.
"Good morning," I said. She stopped to look at me.
"...You don't look so good...did you sleep well last night?" she asked. Sesshomaru came into the room not long after her. He came close to me and looked into my eyes. I blushed and looked away.
"I am fine...really" I told Rin handing the boa back to Sesshomaru, blocking his face from mine. I felt terrible. I was tired, hungry, and overall miserable. I stood up, a bit shaky and walked out of the room and out of the hut. The sun was just rising over the trees. It was a beautiful site to have. Too bad I could not fully enjoy it. I looked around the town again. The memory played in my head yet again. I just looked down when Rin came up to me. She had a bit of a worried look on her face. Sesshomaru followed and then stood beside me for a while. He was making me very nervous. Jaken came up to him with the creature, ready for the travel. Without a warning Sesshomaru picked me up and placed me onto the creature. What the hell?! I was shaken up by this and my face turned a beet red. Sesshomaru just looked back at me and then began to walk. We started our travel.
The day dragged on and on, and the longer it did the more I remembered. The more I remembered, the worse that I felt. My eyesight was starting to get blurry. I just held my head while the sun was hanging high in the sky. Rin had been talking the whole time, I guess to fill in the silence. She was asking about where I lived and the things I liked to do. I was starting to see Rin like a little sister. She tugged my on my sleeve and I lowered my hand to look to her.
"Do you feel ok? You can take a nap if you want to!" she told me. I just smiled.
"No it is alright. Really..." was what I said, not what I felt. I honestly thought my head was going to explode. Come to think of it I was a bit warm too. I really hope I was not getting sick. This was the worst time for that. At that moment we came to a sudden stop. Sesshomaru was looking behind us. Why was he doing that? At that moment I felt something strange. I felt like something was coming, it seemed familiar. I could not explain the feeling or how I was feeling it but i knew something bad was coming. I turned my head to look right at the second Miyakashi jumped out of the bushes toward us. My eyes widened at the blood lust in his eyes. I had forgotten about him. I felt a terror that dwelled deep inside my stomach. I remembered him now. He was my so called partner.
He was charging at us with an evil angry look in his eyes. I do not really remember what had gone on between the fight between him and Sesshomaru earlier, but it must have been something bad.
"Jaken, Rin, take cover...I will deal with him..." Sesshomaru said as he took out his sword and charged at him. wait...his wounds...I don't thin they healed yet. I hopped off the creature and took a step toward them when Jaken grabbed my arm and pulled me into a hiding spot. I was weaker than I thought, he just pulled me with no resistance. I fell down on my butt and just gave Jaken a look. He and Rin were watching the fight. I got up enough to peek through the bushes at the fight. Something was different. Miyakashi was more aggressive and Sesshomaru was...holding back? His wound was not healed...I knew it. I stood up slowly, still shaky. I began to climb out of the bushes when Jaken had stopped me.
"HEY! Lord Sesshomaru said to take cover! Are you crazy?" he yelled to me. I do not really know what came over me, it was like I snapped and became a different person in that instant. I grabbed his arm and squeed it tight, removing it from me. I knelled down to him and glared at his face.
"If you do not leave me alone, I will diced you into bite size imp cubes..." i said to him in a cold tone. I had no control over myself as I tossed Jaken to the side and continued my way toward the fight. I had come within a few yards of the two men. "Miyakashi!" I yelled to him. The fight paused, and the both looked at me. Miyakashi grew a small mug smile.
"Look who it is, you look terrible." he said. Who the hell does he think he is? I simply raised my hand and without hesitation, contained Miyakashi in an energy field. Sesshomaru jumped back, a bit shocked and looked back to me. Miyakashi just laughed. "She is back! It is about time! Looks like I wont have any resistance taking you back to Naraku!" he said. I froze. What was I doing? I was starting to act like...I snapped back to reality and let go of the field. Miyakashi went free and looked at me confused. My head was spinning, I dropped to My knees and began to pant. I felt sick. Miyakashi took this as a chance to strike, and vines from the ground engulfed me. I couldn't fight back, I couldn't resist, hell I could barely stay awake anymore. My eyes were closing and the last thing I saw was Sesshomaru charge at Miyakashi. No...his wounds were not completely healed...stop...
