A/N: Well holy shit from Arceus. This story has over one hundred favorites and close to 150 follows. Thank you everyone and everybody. I'm glad you all love this story. I should probably not mention that we're almost at the end of the…whoops almost gave something important away. What is it? Only I know. (Laughs manically.)

Familiar Fairy
Chapter Ten: Fourteen Years
"Last time on Familiar Fairy. I finally know some facts about the runes on my hand and they were once in the possession of an elf called Sasha one hundred years ago. However the answers only gave me more questions. Not soon after I discovered that the sword I found could talk and goes by the name of Derflinger. Apparently we are now partners. However I still have other questions about the guild itself. More specifically, three people who own talking cats."

I sat up from my bed and stretched my arms out as the sunlight hits my face. It was another morning of me being in this world. I sighed and began my daily rituals. I started to brush my teeth in my bathroom. As I was doing them, my thoughts wandered to the rest of the other guild members. Natsu seems to be the type who thinks first ask questions later but has a good heart. His cat on the other hand annoys me to some point. Lucy seems to be one of the more sane people of the guild and I enjoy her company. I never figured out why Gray has a tendency to take his clothes off time to time but it seems Juvia doesn't mind it. Speaking of which, I owe her for what she said to me when we were out on my second mission. Wendy is someone I can get along very fine as well although a bit shy. Her cat (Carla I think her name was) seems to be the stricter one. Levy and her friends Jet and Droy seem fine as well. She even leant some books of hers to me. I have to say the stories are quite entertaining.
Once I was done brushing my teeth, I proceeded to my room and opened up my drawers. While deciding to pick my clothes for the day, my thoughts about the other members continued. The rebel called Gajeel I have a strong disliking since he's rude. His cat (Pantherlily was it?) seemed to be more likable. Continuing the short list I have for disliking others, Evergreen makes it. She reminds me too much of Kirche except that doesn't try to sleep with the other men in the guild. Bickslow comes as sort of off to me and the floating objects he refers to as his "babies." Freed is one of the few I like to keep company of me. I also found out he is quite the cook. What I found shocking the most was that the man I met before that the other three were with was called Laxus who is one of the S class mages of the guild. He certainly does look more powerful than a square class wizard.
Elfman comes across as the same as Natsu to me. I do kind of find some of his comments a bit sexist but I think he doesn't mean it in a negative way. His sister Mirajane is also an S class mage. I find that strange since she doesn't look that strong to begin with. Lisanna who was the youngest of the siblings is fine with me. We get along well. Cana is the only woman I know that drinks more than any man I will ever know and she uses card magic. The thoughts stopped once I picked out my outfit. I chose a sleeveless lavender blouse with white ripples on the side along with black shorts of the same length as my previous ones. I'm not sure why but I'm quite of these. Maybe because no pervert can grasp a glimpse of my underwear. I removed my sleeping gown (among other things.) and changed in my clothes with white stockings. The only thing that was missing was a certain sword that was lying on the side of the wall. I'm not quite sure if the sword counts as a male but Erza who apparently is in charge of Fairy Hills allowed it.
I went over to him (it) and picked him (it) up. "Morning partner."
"Good morning Derflinger." I set him over my back and I exited my room. Now begins the short journey to the guild and hopefully another war has not started. Again my thoughts turned to the other guild members while traveling there. The only married couple of the guild was Alzack and Bisca with a daughter called Asuka. I learned that they use gun magic which took some explaining to me. Laki strikes me as odd but I think that's because I haven't had a chance to really talk to her but I have heard she uses wood magic with…unique attack names. Reedus is a very talented artist and did a portrait of me. Amusing enough his magic is picto magic which makes his drawing come to life. Max is a nice man who uses sand magic and the same can be said for Warren who has telepathically magic. As for Nab, well I don't know what he does and the only thing I know of him is that he stands in front of the quest board all the time. Vijeeter is strange but not in a bad way. Wakaba and Macao look like they're old friends. Macao's son Romeo is also nice and I learned he has a high admiration for Natsu. Lastly there was Kinana who served as the waitress of the guild.
While thinking on these thoughts, I found myself in the town. Now that I have all these thoughts, something about the guild was bothering me. "What's wrong partner? You're thinking a lot."
How a sword knows I'll never know but doesn't hurt to talk. "I was just wondering about the guild. There's something I noticed about the other guild members."
"What would that be?"
"It's just that there are some members who are older than the others and I'm not talking about one year older. I noticed that a majority of the guild members are older than some others. I don't have any proof but it's something that doesn't sit right with me." I noticed this a few days ago. Many members do seem older than the rest. I'm sure why though but it has been bothering me.
"Have you tried to ask one of them about that? If you did, you may get your answer." I have considered that option. I just can't find the right opportunity.
"I'll do that when the time is right. As for now, I'll try to do a quest. I'm nowhere near close to paying the rent." Whoever thought of that the rent should be 100,000 jewel should be stoned. After a good walk, I made it to the guild. I prayed to the heavens above that it's not insane in there. I opened the doors and hoped for the best.
"What you call me popsicle boy?!
"You heard me flame head!"
And already Natsu and Gray who is in his underwear are arguing. Thankfully it is only them that are going at it. I ignored them and proceeded to walk past them. "I'm going to shut that mouth of yours!"
"Just try it!"
Apparently the decision I made was poor. Natsu lit his hand on fire and tried to hit Gray but instead he dodged and Natsu's attack ended up hitting me instead square in the cheek. The attack (which really hurts by the way.) sent me flying in the guild. I ended up hitting against a pillar. That also hurt. "Uh whoops sorry Louise. Didn't see you there."
"Nice going Natsu. Why did you hit her?"
"You dodged my attack!"
"You ok partner?" I was. However I didn't care who was at fault here. Now I was mad.
"How about you take my attacks like man!"
"You're attacks are nothing!"
"Says the guy who dodged!"
"Natsu…Gray…" Both of the looked at me. I shot them a venomous glare.
"Whoa Louise has a crazy look in her eye." For once I agree with the cat.
"You…" I held my hand in front of me. "IDIOTS!" I cast my explosion spell on them. It seems I don't know my own strength as I've hit more than those two. The explosion had a wider radius and hit several others behind them.
"Hey brat!" I know that voice. I saw Gajeel rise out of the smoke. "Hope you said your prayers!" He transformed his arm into that steel club of his and sent it straight at me. Of course I avoided his attack but it broke through the pillar and hit Elfman instead.
He quickly stood up. "All right who want to mess with a real man?!" He looked at Gajeel and jumped into the after him. Gajeel dodged to the side and Elfman ended up missing him. However where he landed only made more people in the guild mad and they in turn picked a fight with someone else. It wasn't soon after the guild was in another frenzy and I was caught in the middle of it. I had nowhere safe to good. I was only focused on surviving. Then an idea hit me. It wasn't the best one I had but it was better than nothing. I pointed my hands on the floor and the magic circle appeared.
"EXPLOSION!" Next thing I knew and so did everyone else, a large explosion occurred inside the guild.

I sighed while on the train. To think I was the one start the next guild fight even though what I did was kinda my fault. The solution I had was less than perfect. It did stop the fighting but I wrecked the inside of the guild even more. After some cleaning up, the guild went back to normal. Well as normal they could be. The mission I chose quite interested me. It was about how an owner of a theatre was involved in a fight with some of his actors and is in need for a replacement. As soon as I read the description, Natsu and some of the others became depressed for some reason. I don't understand why they should be depressed. Theater is one of my favorite pastimes and it should prove useful for this quest. The only thing I didn't foresee was someone else accompanying me. That someone was Wendy and her talking cat Carla. "You two didn't have to come with me you know. I could handle this on my own. I know a thing or two about theatre."
"Well you are still new to the guild. You're going to need all the help you can get." I still find it strange to be lectured by a talking cat. Speaking of the talking cat, the more I look at her, the more curious I become. She quickly picked this up. "What are you staring at Louise?"
"Partner, I think this would be a good time to ask those questions of yours." I agree with Derflinger. This is perhaps the only perfect chance I have.
"What questions do you want to ask Louise?"
I looked at Wendy straight in her eyes. "It's something that's been bothering for me for quite some time now. Back when Natsu saved me from those bandits, I heard him saying the word dragon in his attack. The same can be said for that rebel Gajeel." I remember those attacks well.
"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!"
"Iron Dragon Roar!"
"There's also the fact that you and those two have flying talking cats. Is there a connection between all of this?" I saw Carla look at Wendy and she did the same.
They both nodded at each other and looked at me. "You're not too far off. You see Louise, Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy are dragon slayers." Wait what? Did I hear the cat right?
"I'm sorry but it sounded like you said dragon slayer."
"That's right I did."
It took a few seconds to register that into my mind. "WHAT!" I can't believe such a thing exists.
"Hey Louise?" Wendy's voice made me break through my hysteria. "By any chance does your world have dragons?"
I nodded. "Of course. Dragons in my world are like steeds to knights. A classmate of mine Tabitha summoned a dragon as her familiar."
I saw Wendy smile. "Wow that's really cool. The reason why I asked is because in our world, dragons are rarely seen and they're really powerful."
So dragons are rarer in this world. If that's true and what Wendy said is true, then that would mean the dragons in this world are far more powerful than the ones in my world. "That is impressive but what I still find surprising that you, Natsu, and the rebel are such people. How are you dragon slayers in the first place?"
"You see Louise, they all know a type of lost magic called dragon slayer magic. Magic to well, slay dragons. Natsu is the fire dragon slayer, Gajeel is the iron dragon slayer, and Wendy is the sky dragon slayer."
Lost magic? I have heard of that before while being in this world. It was powerful magic lost throughout time. To think these three possess such powerful magic. "Who taught you these kinds of magic?"
"Our dragons." It was another simple answer from Wendy. However that answer surprised me.
"Wait a dragon taught you dragon slayer magic? How does that even work? In fact how do you even know a dragon in the first place?" Again the answers I receive only bring about more questions.
I saw Wendy look down on the floor. It seemed I brought something up. "You see Louise; the dragons we were with were our parents." Dragons as parents? I don't understand. "My dragon's name is Grandeeney. Natsu's dragon is called Igneel, and Gajeel's dragon is called Metalicana. They did more than just teach us magic. They taught us everything. Reading, writing, culture, everything. They were like a parent we never had." A dragon as a parent. That is something I couldn't ever imagine in a long time. Now the question is what happened to them. "But…" Seems I'll receive my answer. "On the year X777 July 7th, our dragons disappeared without a trace."
Now that raised an eyebrow from me. These dragons just vanished? Just like that? What reason or what event made these dragons disappear? I assumed Wendy and the other dragon slayers were also wondering about this question for a long time. Then I realized something she said. "Just a minute, you said that the dragons vanished in the year of X777 correct?" I saw Wendy nod at my question. "Wendy if you don't mind me asking, how old are you?"
"I'm twelve." As soon as I've heard that answer, I knew something was wrong. I currently know that this is year X791 (reason why I know this is because I sometimes read the news from the paper.) and she said the dragons vanished in X777. That would mean they vanished fourteen years. Over two years over Wendy's age. What's more and if my math is correct, her dragon disappeared when she was five. Add fourteen years to that age and Wendy would've been nineteen to this year. A few years older than me but she told me she was twelve. Something wasn't adding up here. Either that or she was lying about her age but Wendy didn't seem like the girl who would lie.
This is so confusing. I feel like I need one more piece to this puzzle. "Oi partner, calm down." How can I calm down? I feel like I need one more explanation. "You two have the answer to my partner's question right?"
I heard the cat sigh. "Well it was only a matter of time before we could explain it to her." Explain what to me? I looked at the two of them. Was there something the entire guild didn't tell me? What was it? "I assume you already realize that some of the members of the guild look older than the rest correct?" I did realize that. I found it strange that some of the older members of the guild treated the younger members like they each other for their entire life. "There's a reason for it but the explanation is quite long."
I sighed. "Well we have the entire train ride so might as well tell me."
I saw the both of them smile at me. "It all started when the master announced the S-class trials…"
