CH. 10 ~ Like Caged Animals

Angel's POV

"Everybody already left for the hills. They couldn't wait to go skiing and snowboarding." A voice said from our left, which was the kitchen, making shivers go down my spine. "Oh, it's you. Why didn't you go with them?" I asked the owner of the husky voice, Sasuke. 'Hold up hottie alert at left o'clock' I blushed at my inner's thoughts but before I could respond, Sasuke cut me off. "It's your birthday, why would I ditch you? I'm not that mean. Luke's here too, somewhere. You do know this place is huge right?" Sasuke looked at me in the eyes and chuckled. 'Really just jump his bones already' Inner smirked at me as she crossed her arms. With a roll of my eyes I ignored her comment. I looked back up at Sasuke and couldn't help but smile at his adorable laugh. "Yes. We know. Why do you think we invited so many people? Even though those people are ass-hats and deserve to burn in hell for ditching us." Aly scowled. I could tell she was not a happy ski-resorter. "Why do our friends have to be so impatient?" I heard Aly ask, annoyed as she walked over to the 62 inch flat screen tv on the far side of the room, and turned it on. I rolled my eyes and turned around to see what Sasuke was doing at the kitchen door. Man, do I wish I hadn't, there he was, Sasuke, with my birthday gift in his hands looking at me intensly with his signature smirk on. I turned into a tomato as soon as he open his mouth. "Otanjobi Omedeto Angel-Chan!" Sasuke wished me a happy birthday as he reached out the gift to me. "Arigatou Sasu-Chan!" I giggled as I reached for the gift but just before I grabbed it, the entire cabin shook. 'What The Fuguing Monkeys Was That?' Inner screamed in shock, and, as my luck would have it, I fell right on top of Sasuke. My body went stiff as a surfboard. "What the hell was that?! Why did everything shake? Was there an earthquake?" I said in a panicked tone as I tried to hide my tomato flushed face from Sasuke's worried and curious stare. As I was getting up off the floor and dusting off my hands I heard Aly say blandly. "Naruto probably yelled at the hill, caused an avalanche and we're about to be buried under who knows how many feet of snow and we'll probably freeze to death."

Sasuke and I stared at her in disbelief. I mean how can she talk about death in such a calm manner. I watched her stare boredly at the tv, waiting for something to happen, with bewilderment. All of a sudden I see the camera zoom in on a big group of teens running up the resort stairs. As I stare in surprise, the first thing that happens in the group is that someone hits a blonde boy on his head and yells at him with extreme anger. "Ummm, guys..." Aly drifted, pointing at the TV with wide eyes. "I think I was right, Sakura is hitting Naruto and yelling at him and there's a big cloud of snow falling down the hill, heading towards the cabin..." Aly stated blankly.

Just then, the cabin shook with such force that it knocked Sasuke and me to the ground, again. When the shaking finally subsided, Luke came bounding down the stairs and stopped in front of us. Sasuke was helping me to my feet and as I felt his strong hands touch my arm I blushed. 'The only nice thing about all the shaking is all the Sasuke touching' Inner commented in a pissed off tone. I ignored her gibberish and went on with my I was up I noticed that Aly-nee was still sitting on the sofa staring at the TV, which had nothing but static now. "Is everyone alright? Anybody hurt?" Luke asked, looking from one person to another with a caring face. "We're all fine." Aly said stoically. She got up from the sofa, walked over to her bag, grabbed it, and walked upstairs to our room.

I turned around to inspect Sasuke from head to toe. What I found pleased me, he wasn't hurt at all. 'Thank god his Adonis like body is alright or else I would have never forgiven Naruto' Inner said with relief. 'Agreed Inner-Chan ! If Sasu was hurt Naru was gonna have to pay the ultimate price'. After I answered my Inner, I turned around to see Luke standing in front of the dark wood stairs. "Luke-kun are you alright?" A few minutes pass and Luke is still staring off in space. So I look at Sasuke and he nods his head. "Luke? Angel asked you if you were okay!" Sasuke said, after a while had passed and he hadn't had answered. Sasuke walked over to him and snapped his finger in front of Luke's bright, crystal blue eyes. Luke jumped from the sound and looked at us with a nervous smile. "Gomene Angel-chan! I'm fine don't worry about me!" He managed to say with his voice just trembling twice. Sasuke and I looked at each other with mutual worried faces and understanding for Lukes situation. You see Luke is claustrophobic, he hates enclosed spaces so when he heard we were gonna be stuck for a while I guess that shock him up, real good. Sasuke went up to him and touched his shoulder. "Hn. Luke help me clean up this broken vase." Sasuke said as he walked to the kitchen to get the broom. Luke looked at Sasuke's back and followed after him. I looked around the living room and saw that only grandma's sea green vase was broken. I sighed. 'Mom is sooo not gonna like that'. 'Yea thanks for the heads up Inner'. Mom was not gonna be very happy when she found out but, oh well, what you gonna do!? I looked at the stairs, then down at my clothes. I really needed a shower and a outfit change. I walked up the dark wooden stairs and opened the door to the first room on the right. When I go in I see a room with plain colored walls and two twin sized beds. The only problem was that I could hear the shower running already, and there's only one bathroom in this room. I sighed and walked over to my bag to get out my outfit. 'Yo! Baka! How about you go ask Sasu if you can use the shower in his room!?' Inner looked at me and winked. 'That's actually not such a bad idea'. I smiled picked up my things and headed for Sasuke and Naruto's room. I walked down the yolk colored hall until I got to his room. I looked at the wood door and thought. 'What if he doesn't let me? God that will be embarrassing'. Just as I was about to knock the door open with a tug. Lukewas standing in front of me with a surprised look. He looked down at my hands, then smiled. "Ne, Angel-Chan is Aly in your room." He asked as he smirked keeping Sasuke from my eyes. I looked up at him and answered with a smile. "Hai, she is but,..." I never got to finish my sentence because just as fast as Luke thanked me he left running in the direction of my room. I stood there staring after him with a smile, that is until I felt a warm breath on my neck. "Hn. An~gel~Cha~n! What is it that you need" Sasuke huskily asked by my ear. I gulped and turned around to face his smirking mouth. "I wanted to ask you if I could use your shower for a bit." I looked at him with my best puppy dog eyes, and guess what! The great Uchiha caved. I smirked my way past him into the room. "Hn." He responded to my immature attitude, with a shake of his head. Sasuke sat down on his bed and then asked me. "Why don't you take a shower in your own room?" I looked at him and giggled. "Aly's already using the shower! I was gonna tell Luke but, he ran off before I could." I giggled as I was heading to the bathroom door. Just as I was about to open it we heard a loud slam. Sasuke and I looked at each other then ran down the stairs. As we entered the fourier we saw Aly standing next to a flushed and shocked Luke. "Hey! What's going on Nee-chan, Luke-kun?" I ask curiously, with a raised eyebrow, while staring at them . Aly-nee turns and explains and then IT happens. I look at Luke with surprise and….
