Summary:
Queen is my favourite piece of Chess. She was the strongest among the pawns and knights in the board as her sole purpose in her life was to protect her King. She held no bonder, no restriction hence making her scarify the most striking and memorable among the pawns.

The sound of our footsteps echoed loudly within the hallways of the Heathcliff's Mansion as the white butler leaded us towards the dining hall. I raised my head at the said butler and couldn't help but watched him cautiously as I listened to my workers chattering before me.
"My lady…"
I shifted my attention away at the familiar voice and glanced sideway to the demon walking beside me as I smoothed the wrinkle within my dress, "What is it?" I asked, watching the back of the white butler as Sebastian leaned down closely to my ears.
"It seems your assumption is correct my Queen. I've found strange runes surround the household that act as a shield to keep us inside the mansion. It's appeared that our Earl does had a certain help from someone…" explained the demon butler with a dark glimpse within his crimson eyes as he eyeing the white butler in front of us, "Though I wonder why a fallen angel is here with a human"
'Fallen angel?'
The white butler stopped suddenly within his track and slowly opened the large wooden door before him for us as he bowed, "Please come in. My master awaits you, Lady Adrienne"
I curtsied slightly at the suspicious butler and walked inside the grand hall with my workers in front of me before glanced sideway to my butler as I watched him exchanged dark look with the white ones.
'So, he's a fallen angel'
"Ah! Lady Adrienne. I'm so glad you could join me for dinner"
The mysterious Earl stood up from his chair and walked ahead towards me as he caught my pale hand to give a chaste kiss upon the knuckle in greeting, "You look radiant in those midnight blue dress" he complemented me darkly as I couldn't help but noticed the mischief look behind those icy blue eyes, "Come. Come. Let's start eating shall we?"
I let the Earl leaded me to my seat and sat down patiently as I waited for the butler to serve the food, "So, how are you settling, Lady Adrianne?" asked the Earl of Heathcliff as he watched me closely while taking a sip of his red wine.
I shrugged and smoothed the napkin within my laps carelessly, saying "Very good actually. I really appreciate your hospitality, Earl Heathcliff"
"I'm glad"
"Though I couldn't help but wonder why you invite me, Earl Heathcliff. I was surprise to found there aren't other people here to celebrate the 100 years anniversary of your company"
The blonde chuckled darkly at the words and placed down his wine glass as he linked his hands against his chin, "What can I say? I'm interested with you, Lady Adrianne…"
I narrowed my eyes at the statement and looked down to the served food before me, "I see…"
"Hmm…"
I picked up my fork and knife and began cutting the medium size steak into small pieces, "Talking about interest, I wonder if I could see the black diamond of yours. I heard it absolutely beautiful"
"Ah! But I believe those diamond had disappeared long time ago"
Humming, I looked up at the Earl with a fake disappointment on my face, "Ah… such a pity then"
"I believe so"
Snort internally at the respond, I glanced at the white butler standing beside the Earl cautiously as I watched him eyeing Sebastian behind me.
"Lady Adrianne"
I blinked and shifted my attention away from the butler to the speaker, "Yes?"
Aubrey sipped his wine and lifted up his icy gaze with a hidden smirk behind the glass, "I hope you had a pleasant sleep tonight"

Later that night, a silhouette passed the hallways into the shadow and suddenly appeared inside a large bedroom within the mansion. Stalking the figure lying on the bed inside the room, the silhouette raised a large butcher knife up high above its head and proceeded to stab it when a silver culinary knife clashed with butcher knife, knocking it off from its grasp.
A growl emitted from the silhouette as it turned around to see two figures walking out from the shadows beside it.
"A pleasant night you say… I wonder if this you mean by then, Earl Heathcliff"
The said man chuckled darkly at the name and stood up straight into his full height as he shifted his body to fully face the two shadows.
"I must say, Lady Adrianne. I should have suspected you wouldn't fall it too soon. I'm underestimate you"
"Now tell me, Earl. Why do you invite me to your mansion and put runes around you household?"
"Why don't you try and find out?"
In an instant, the Earl disappeared into the shadow as a laugh eerie laugh echoed loudly within the room and shaken the whole mansion to life.
"W-What is this?"
"MISTRESS!"
I turned at the screaming voices of my workers and walked out from my room to see them running towards us in their nightwear.
"Mistress, are you alright?" asked Felix as he dodged the fallen frames within the hallways.
"Yes. What about you, Felix? Maria? Brad?"
"We're fine" Maria nodded.
"Alright! Let's get out of here"
"Not if I have to do nothing about it"
I gasped at the voice belonged to the Earl and turned around to see the white butler lunched himself towards me in amazing speed before-
Clash!
"Sebastian!"
"Run! I hold him off!"
Brad grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the fighting scene in search for any escape route inside the gigantic mansion.
"Felix! Take point! Maria! Watch our back!"
"Yes, Bradon!"
I groaned that harsh tugging by the chef/ex-commander and quickened my pace to match him before stopped suddenly at the fallen ceiling blocking our way.
"What next?" asked Maria as she pulled out her twin gun underneath her skirt and loaded it while glanced around for any danger.
"I guess we have to make other way out"
Felix grinned and pulled out a bazooka (out of nowhere!) behind his back as he aimed to the wall, saying "Prepare for loud explosion, mistress"
Bang!
I ducked as Brad shielded me away from the debris of the destroy wall and looked up at the large hole when-
"Argh!"
"Felix!"
I shifted my gaze away and stunned to see the Earl knocked the gardener out cold before turning his icy blue eyes to meet my emerald one.
"You're next"
"Maria! Brad!"
One by one fallen into the ground beneath their feet as I watched him getting closer and closer before stopping in front of the unconscious Brad with an eerie smirk plastered upon his face, "Had a pleasant night, Lady Adrianne"
Smack!
