I DO NOT OWN FAIRY TAIL!
A/N Hey guys I know I have been gone forever but I have been having a very busy few months and I hope to get these story's up and out of the way fast because I hate leaving stories undone.
'I still think that you should stay here.' Laxus said to Cana just before they were about to leave.
This was about the fifth time he had asked her that question since they woke up and that was only an hour ago.
'I don't want to stay for the hundredth time; I want to be with you.' She hugged his arm tighter as they started heading towards the train station. 'You can't get rid of me that easily.' She giggled and let go of him.
'Well, I could always try' he have her a smile. 'Even though your dad couldn't make you stay.
That was true, Laxus had somehow gotten past Cana and told Gildarts that she was going with him and he thinks it's better if she stayed behind, and god Gildarts tried to stop her, but she wasn't having any of it. She fought tooth and nail to go because there was no way in hell was he leaving her behind.
'Well you are going to have to do better than that.' She pulled her coat tighter around her as they walked when a cold breeze swept past her.
'I just want you to be safe, it kind of my job now.' He gave her a sideways glance and a smirk when she slapped him on his arm.
'I can take care of myself thank you very much.' She said rolling her eyes and looking away from him. That brought back the memory of Laxus coming to her rescue when Bacchus cornered her the night before the fight.
She didn't tell Laxus about Bacchus talking to her last night. She didn't want to upset him or make him angry again, she wanted him to get better and if that meant keeping his temper on the low then that's what she is going to have to try and do.
'I would really rather you stay here.' He said again Cana turned her head to glare at him, he didn't glare back. He just looked at her with eyes full of worry and sadness.
'And I would really rather you shut your mouth because this is going to be a long journey and I really don't want to be listening to you if you keep telling me to go away.' He grabbed his hand and moved closer to him again.
'I only do it because I care.' He said simply and Cana nearly jumped for joy when he said the words.
'And I love that you care, But shut up.' She teased.
'That's a very hard request.' He smiled down at her and she leaned up and gave him a quick kiss before looking down the road again when she felt something weird.
There was a burst of magic before a figure appeared. Laxus stepped in front of Cana protectively until he let out a snigger and moved to let her see who it was.
It was master Makarov, he was looking at them with a serious expression then focused on their hands clasped together. 'Where do you think you're going?' he asked
The two looked back at him confused, this was the way that they were told to go.
'You will never get there with a pace like that. Do you realise where you're going? You were supposed to come to me so I would send you there with my magic. The young people of today never listen.' He threw his hand to his head in defeat.
'You never said that old man, you only thought about it now and came here I bet.' Laxus said sounding annoyed towards his grandfather.
'Ya well I am saying it now.' He shot back at Laxus then waved his stick in the air and mumbled out some chant under his breath.
'What are you doing now?' Laxus asked impatiently.
'Hey, relax.' Cana didn't like when he was rude to his grandfather because she knew that he never meant what he was saying, and she knew that he loved him.
The next thing they knew, they were surrounded by a pool of purple dust. They couldn't see a thing and Cana tightened her grip on Laxus's arm so she wouldn't lose him if the spell went wrong.
They were then suddenly suspended in the air, falling from a high. They both screamed with the shock but landed quickly on a flat surface.
They coughed and spluttered until they had gained there breathing.
'Are you okay?' Laxus coughed out while pushing himself of the ground with one swift move.
'Ya, I think I am. What about you?' she coughed back. She took his hand and he helped her up.
'Takes more than a little fall to hurt me. I expected him to do a lot of things, but not to send us flying and do that. That wasn't expected anyway.' He said while lifting his head to look around.
Cana did to, but all she could see was fog. 'What are you looking at? you can't see a thing.' She instantly regretted saying it, because she forgot who she was talking to. He was a dragon slayer (in a way) so he had heightened senses, so he could probably see through this fog.
'Where on a mountain.' He whispered and she looked at him confused.
'How do you know where on a mountain?' she asked.
'Because generally a mountain is tall and mostly rock and I can see land far down so I am going to take a wild guess and say that it is a mountain.' He said back to her sarcastically and she rolled her eyes and took his hand in hers again.
'Where are we going now?' she looked around but again, couldn't see anything.
'West.' He said simply and she looked at him confused.
'Why?' she asked.
'I don't know.' He said looking confused himself. 'I just have a feeling to go that way.'
'Well then we had better get going.' She smiled up at him and started walking.
