well, back again. I'm sorry to say that update rate will probably remain exceedingly slow, I managed not to lose my college year but as a reward I got MORE work! yay for life... not. Anyways I don't really have much to say other than sorry for the delay again and on a totally unrelated subject I'm firmly a Loki fan girl. Oh and the usual disclaimers apply, I own nothing except any OC's that may appear such as Yue.

Disclaimer: I do not own DN angel or Harry Potter. Wish I did but I don't sorry.

'Dark and Daisuke talk'
That same 30th of October around the third floor corridor…
It was a rare stormy night at Hogwarts School that night, lightning flashed across the sky and rain lashed the windows, the wind was howling through the trees, but thanks to powerful muffling charms the only thing that could possibly disturb anyone's rest was the occasional lightning bolt all was quiet except for 3 students that were not in their beds but instead where wandering around. Daisuke was wandering the castle at night, well aware that he was breaking curfew, he was restless, and he couldn't help it. Something was about to happen; he could feel it in his bones. Dark was of the same mindset and part of the reason as to why he was feeling so restless on this night. Before he took notice of where he was, he found himself in front of the Great Hall, the doors where opened and he could see the Goblet of Fire; blue flames eerily alluring. Taking his chances he called some of Dark's abilities to him and shrouded himself with shadows. He walked across the Great Hall and took a piece of parchment out of his pocket, along with a self-inking quill. Hurriedly scrawling his name and infusing it with some of Dark's magic he threw it into the Goblet. Daisuke turned on his heel and walking swiftly reached the dungeons and the Entrance to the Slytherin common room. All he could do now was hope and wait that everything went according to his feelings and Severus and Yue's plan. Getting ready for bed and hoping he would now be able to rest Daisuke and Dark kept a fluid conversation inside of their combined minds.
While Daisuke was out wandering the school, Harry and Hermione where walking out of the library under Harry's invisibility cloak, their arms where full of books than even remotely mentioned anything to do with magic feathers and Phantom Thieves. They stopped suddenly when they saw Daisuke pass them by seemingly not preoccupied that a patrolling professor could spot him. He seemed to be talking to himself and Hermione distinctly heard him answer someone by the name of Dark. Suddenly Daisuke passed right in front of a window just when lightning flashed through the skies, Harry and Hermione withheld a gasp when instead of Daisuke's shadow reflected on the ground they saw the shadow of something completely different, if only for a fraction of a second. The shadow depicted a tall, thin man, probably with long hair, it was a little hard to tell on a shadow specially one as brief as that one, but what Harry and Hermione saw clearly was that the shadow had wings, big feathered wings looking almost like that of an angel flared open behind his back. As quick as the flash came it was gone and Daisuke continued on his way.
Waiting just a few extra seconds for the coast to be totally clear Harry and Hermione walked as fast as they dared back to the Gryffindor's Common room.
"Harry please tell me you saw the same thing I did" Hermione asked in a hushed whisper to Harry as soon as the portrait entrance had closed behind them. She looked like a cross between awed and suspicious.
" You mean the fact that Daisuke's shadow seemed to be a wicked looking winged thing? Yeah I saw it" Harry answered. "Must've been a trick of the lightening outside though." He reasoned. Hermione looked unconvinced but seem to buy it for a second, after all they had both clearly seen Daisuke and he very obviously did not seem to have any wings attached to his back, they would be too hard to hide anyways. Harry and Hermione's conversation drifted towards the guest schools that had arrived earlier that day and their impressive means of arrival. Harry didn't want to admit it but he enjoyed spending time with Hermione, not only because of all the helped she gave them in regards to his schoolwork but she was pretty and a great conversationalist. With her Harry found himself rediscovering what it was to be part of an active discussion about a book or and engaging debate that had fallen of to the side with Ron and the other guys. Before when he was a helpless kid and Dudley and his gang chased him he used to take refuge inside the library knowing Dudley would never step inside willingly. He liked books and liked learning though thanks to the Dursleys he had been conditioned to always be an underachiever. Maybe with Mione's help he could change that. Unbeknownst to him Hermione had an internal ramble going inside her head as well. It went somewhat along the same lines as Harry's. They wished each other good night and retired to their respective beds.
Morning after October 31st
Morning came in what seemed an unbelievably quick time to Harry who just wanted to burrow under his warm covers and forget he even had classes. The memory that today was Halloween didn't exactly endear him to leave either seeing as bad things always seemed to happen to him come Halloween.
Groaning Harry sat up and proceeded to get ready for breakfast. There was one interesting shine to that morning and that was that today they would find out who the three Tri-wizard champions would be.
Down in the Slytherin Dungeons, Daisuke was having a meeting with Professor Snape and informing him of all that had happened last night. Including how before he had deposited his name inside the goblet he had felt something like a compulsion spell upon the Goblet. He had broken it with Dark's brand of magic when he had deposited his name inside it. Severus thanked him for his prompt action, he already suspected who the victim of said compulsion spell would be had Daisuke not neutralized it on time.
"Severus, I also inform you that I added my own compulsion spell into the Goblet to ensure that I'm chosen as the Hogwarts champion, according to Japanese law I'm already over-age but you British wizards might be surprised" Daisuke said. Severus nodded in understanding; so far everything was going to plan. Daisuke left the office, eager to reach the Great Hall and have some breakfast. Hopefully there would be some coffee. Once he reached the Great Hall he saw that Dumbledore was getting ready to make an announcement.
"Good morning to you all, I hope you've had a good night's sleep and are ready to fill your stomachs on this fine morning. I also hope you haven't been wandering around at night" eyes flashing momentarily towards Daisuke and the Gryffindor table. "I just wanted to let all you students know that in the essence of promoting inter-school friendships classes will be canceled for today, I will see you all again at the Halloween feast tonight, Good day to you all" with that said Dumbledore sat back down and proceeded to serve himself some breakfast.
The rest of the morning passed without anything of note, other than the Weasley Twins giving themselves long white beards like Dumbledore's in an attempt to cross the age-line. Finally dinner and the Halloween feast arrived, and the Great Hall was a-buzz with voices all waiting anxiously for the feast to end so they could hear whom the chosen Champions were. When it seemed the tension could mount no longer Dumbledore stood up and with him silence fell and every head turned to stare straight at him and the Goblet.
With a big flash the fire turned red and spit out a piece of lightly singed parchment, catching it deftly in one hand Dumbledore read, "The Champion for Durmstrang Institute is VIKTOR KRUM!" with a roar the Slytherin table where the Durmstrang students where sitting erupted into cheers. Glowering Krum stood and after shaking Dumbledore's hand proceeded through the door he was pointed to. Another red flash and another parchment, this one pink in colour, though still singed, Dumbledore continued, "The Champion for Beauxbatons Academy is FLEUR DELACOUR!" the Beauxbatons students where sitting at the Ravenclaw table and with polite clapping and tears from some girls they watched Fleur walk gracefully towards the door Viktor had exited from. Finally the most expected moment of the night had arrived… who would be Hogwarts Champion? With a greater flash of red from the goblet, a deeper red than the previous two times a third scrap of parchment was blown into the air. Catching it Dumbledore seemed to collect himself before announcing with apparently great surprise but pride nonetheless, "The third and final Champion, the Champion for Hogwarts School will be… DAISUKE NIWA!"
Silence reigned.
