A Tale of Two Tables

Lincoln is quietly eating dinner when Lana suddenly pokes him in the face with a wiener.

"Would you cut it out?" As he resumes eating, Lola also pokes and smacks him with a wiener. "Come on, man! Stop!" The twins continue hitting him with their wieners. "I said cut it out!"

It is revealed that Lincoln is having dinner at the kiddle table with his six younger sisters; he gets up to go to the fridge and sees his two older sisters in the kitchen.

"Hey, Lincoln." Lilo said, before walking in the dining room with a plate of cookies. Linda belches in his face. "Sup, Linc."

Linda walked back in the dining room with a soda can. Lincoln talks to the viewers. "In most families, the 'kiddie table' is something you only see at holidays. But in a family as big as mine, it's part of everyday life." He pours a glass of milk.

"Hey, Lincoln. You like seafood?" Lana sticks her tongue out showing mushed up pieces of food on it. "See? Food! Bleeeeegh!"

"You know, that would be funny to me if i haven't heard it million times before." Anastasia said.

"Hey, Lucy!" Lola sticks two french fries between her teeth and acts like a vampire. "I VANT TO SUCK YOUR BLOOD!" She said in a Transylvania accent before squirting the ketchup.

The ketchup splatters all over Lincoln's face and his younger sisters and Linda smear their fries on it to get some ketchup.

"For gosh sakes, you guys! Cut it out!" Lincoln said, annoyed as he rubs the ketchup off of his face and groans.

"Calm down, Lincoln. They're just kids. They do stuff like this all the time. It's fun to them and i don't blame them." Lilo said as she is pouring a glass of milk to go with her cookies.

"She's right, bro. Just loosen up and have some fun!" Linda said before grabbing one of Lilo's cookies and eat it. "Mmm! This cookie is good!"

"I agree. This is sooooo good!" Anastasia said.

"Thanks, guys. I appreciate that." Lilo said with a smile.

Lincoln talks to the viewers again. "It's not right. My other older sisters get to sit at the grownup table with Mom and Dad, while I'm stuck here with five younger sisters. Speaking of which, why are you two sitting here? Aren't you two old enough to sit at the grownup table with the others?

"We are. But we chose to sit here. It too bored over there." Lilo said

"We can't read, watch videos, or even tell jokes! Which it kinda good so no one can listen to Luan's lame jokes." Linda adds.

Lincoln sighs. Then he sticks a piece of broccoli on his fork, only for Lucy it off Lincoln's fork.

"How can you eat that broccoli when you know how much it suffered to get here?" Lucy asked.

"Uh, Lucy...broccoli doesn't feel pain." Lincoln said, uneasy.

"Oh, no?" Lucy shoves a piece of broccoli in Lincoln's face. "Listen to the broccoli screaming, Lincoln! LISTEN TO IT!"

Lincoln screams in frustration and agony, much to the shock of his sisters. "CAN'T I JUST EAT MY DINNER IN PEACE?!"

"Did you say peas?" Lana said, as she jokingly flings peas at Lincoln.

Lincoln blocks Lana's peas with his plate, causing them to bounce off and onto Lisa, which Lola, Linda and Anastasia laughs at her.

"Oh, you wanna play? Let's play..." Lisa brings out a tiny catapult and launches mashed potatoes only to hit Lincoln instead of Lana, much to Lana's surprise. "My calibration seems to have been off by about sixteen degrees."

Lana hits Lisa with her wiener. "Mine wasn't.

As his sisters sans Lilo have a food fight, Lincoln imagines himself at the grownup table, where everyone is dressed in fancy attire and the decor is exquisite.

"So, i said to the Prime Minister, "Two breads are better than one!"

Everyone laughs at his jokes.

"Your comedy is so mature. Just like you. " Luan said.

Everyone raises their glasses to propose a toast to Lincoln.

"To Lincoln! He puts the 'grownup' in 'grownup table'!" Lori proposed.

"To Lincoln!" Everybody shouted.

Lincoln blows kisses to them all only for the food fight to come and ruin his fantasy.

"That's it! I don't belong here! I'm gonna go ask to join the grownup table!"

"You wanna sit at the grownup table?" Anastasia asked.

"Ha!" Lola laughed.

"Good luck." Lana added.

"You really think they're gonna let you? Lucy asked.

"Oooooooh!" Linda and her younger sisters said simultaneously.

Lincoln suddenly imagines everyone at the grownup table laughing at his request to join them which causes the other sisters at the kiddle table to laugh as well.

"You'll see. I'm gonna make it to the grownup table and leave all you children behind." Lincoln gets hit by mashed potatoes again.

Lincoln got up and marches to his room.

"There's no way he's gonna stay over for long." Linda stated. "We told him that it's boring over there but if he want to be an idiot and don't listen to what we say, let him find that out the hard way."

The others agree. Lilo started get very worrisome about her little brother's decision.

Next morning, Lilo went down to the kitchen to get something for breakfast, but spots Anastasia spying on someone from the dining room.

"Umm, Anastasia? What are you doing?" Lilo asked.

"Just looking at our brother in the kitchen drinking coffee."

"Oh. Okay, just as long you're not...wait, what?!" Lilo looked in the kitchen to see Lincoln there with Lori, Luna, Luan, Lynn and Linda.

"Good morning, everybody! Ah, nothing like that first cup of morning joe." Lincoln smells it. "Ah, mountain grown." Lincoln takes a sip but then spits it out disliking the taste.

The coffee was spat all over his sisters who aren't too happy about that, making him nervous. Lilo and Anastasia looked each other confused about what they saw.

Later, Lilo came out of her room with a manga book and heads to the living room when she spotted Lincoln leaving the living room. She walk up to her older sisters.

"What was Lincoln doing?" Lilo asked.

Lori and Leni shurg. Lilo looked at the direction Lincoln went and rises an eye brow.

Later at dinner, Lilo came out of the kitchen with a tray of cupcakes and walks to the kiddle table. Anastasia notices someone isn't at the table.

"Wait a minute. Where's Lincoln?" Anastasia asked.

Lilo sighs sadly. "He moved over to the grownup table."

"For real?! He actually made it to the grownup table?!" Anastasia shouts in shock. Her sisters nods. "Wow, i don't know what to say. Other than i feel sorry for him."

"He made that chose himself. He went over there with his own free will, and not have to suffer it." Linda stated.

Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa and Lily agree with Linda. Anastasia looks at Lilo with a sad look on her face and started getting worry about it.

Meanwhile at the other table, Lincoln is bored from listening to quiet conversations.

"So, Lynn, how did you do your math test today?" Rita asked.

Lynn answers. "Good, Mom. I think i really nailed those integers."

"So, Lori, i heard Bobby's dad had a hernia operation. How'd that go?" Lynn Sr asked.

"Um...okay, i guess." Lori said.

Lincoln trying to beat the boredom. "Hey! I heard a funny joke today."

"We don't tell jokes at the grownup table." Luan started.

"Or sing, brah." Luna finished.

Lincoln now feels even more bored after what he was just told and hears his other sisters over by the kiddle table having fun.

"Beans, beans, the musical fruit! The more you eat, the more you-" Lana then makes fart noises with her armpit and they all have a good laugh, Lilo couldn't but smile; slightly chuckles at their antics.

Lynn Sr asks "Something funny, Lincoln?"

"Not at this table."

Lilo continued to look at Lincoln from the kiddle table, and having a bad feeling. Anastasia sees this and it made her more worrisome. Later that night, Lilo is sound asleep when she heard someone calling her name. "Lilo?"

She open her eyes and sees Anastasia with a teddy bear.

"Anastasia? What are you doing up?" Lilo asked as she is rubbing her eyes.

"I had a bad dream. Can i sleep with you for tonight?"

"I guess you can. But please don't kick me in the face."

Anastasia got into Lilo's bed and Lilo fell fast asleep. "Lilo?" Lilo woke up after hearing Anastasia calling her name again.

"Yeah?" Lilo asked.

"Do you think Lincoln gonna stay at the grownup table forever?"

"What made you ask that?"

"Well, it's because of the nightmare that Lincoln completely abandoned us and fell in a trance, becoming...one of them." Lilo is shock to hear this. Anastasia cries "It was horrible! I mean, i had nightmares before but this one felt too real to me. I don't want him to forget about us and i know you're worry about him too. I...i don't want him to forget about us!"

Lilo felt bad for the younger diva but understand how she feel. "He won't forget about us. We can still see him everyday, even if he sits at a different table."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"I hope you're right." Anastasia yarns. "Goodnight, Lilo."

"Night."

Anastasia and Lilo went back to sleep. Lilo smile went after hearing what Anastasia told her. That evening at dinner, Lilo and Anastasia are sitting at the kiddle table looking very sad. They sighs sadly.

"Hey, Lilo, are you gonna eat that?" Linda asked.

Lilo pushes her plate to Linda.

"Hey, Anastasia, are you gonna eat that?" Lana asked.

Anastasia pushes her plate to Lana.

"Okay! You two have been acting like this all day. What is going on?" Lola asked.

Neither Lilo nor Anastasia said anything.

Lucy asked "It's Lincoln, isn't it?"

The two sad sisters nod.

"That's it? That's the reason why the both of you are sad?! Forget about him! He left us to be with the grownups!" Lola yelled.

Lilo and Anastasia sighs sadly.

"Look, i know you two are sad and all, but-"

Anastasia cut her off "You don't know anything! You sit here talking all that stuff about him. But let's remember all the time he helped you! Or all of us! What I'm trying to say that you don't know the pain me and Lilo are going through, or the nightmare i had last night. So how can you say you know how sad we are if you don't know the struggle I'm having?"

"What is the big deal? You are getting work up over nothing."

"BECAUSE HE IS OUR ONLY BROTHER AND SEEING HIM NOT SITTING HERE IS KILLING ME!"

A moment of silence occurs for a second before Lisa said something. "Well...that was something."

"I'll say." Lana agree.

Lilo sighs sadly again "All we want is to see him again."

Just then, a familiar voice hit Lilo and Anastasia's ears. "Hey, room for one more?"

Lilo and Anastasia looked at the direction the voice came from and became happy to see Lincoln returning to the kiddle table.

"Lincoln!" Anastasia went up to hug Lincoln. "I missed you. I thought you were staying at the grownup table."

"I did at first, but it wasn't as fun as i thought it was."

"Well, what are we waiting for? Sit down!"

Anastasia went back to her spot next to Lilo and Lincoln walked to Linda's side. "Welcome back, little bro."

"It's good to be back." Lincoln sat next to Linda. "So, what did i miss? Let's...ketchup!" He squirts the ketchup at his sisters, laughs and gets hit by potatoes three times.

They all begins a food fight to celebrate Lincoln's return and Lynn pops in on them and asks "Hey...can i join you guys?"

"Sure. The more, the merrier."

Lynn sat down next to her little brother and says" Oh. I never knew it was possible to make it out of the grownup.

Both of them stare to their left to see Lori, Leni, Luna, and Luan.

"Psst! Can we join, too?" Lori asked.

Much to the joy of the other sisters, they too are happy to be at the kiddle table as they pull in chairs and sit down altogether.

"Wow! Chicken nuggets! I haven't seen these in years!" Luan shouts in excitement before getting hit by mashed potatoes.

Excited, all the Loud kids engage in a big food fight, altogether at kiddle table laughing with joy.

Lincoln talks to the viewers. "There really is no rush to get to the grownup table. It's gonna happen eventually. So in the meantime, might as well enjoy being a kid."

The scene shifts to Lynn Sr saying "Finally, a little peace and quiet."

"Did you say peas?" Rita flings peas at her husband.

They both laugh as they too enjoy these kinds of shenanigans.

Author note: So for now on, i decided to uses this format for later chapters of this story. I'm still new to this so please don't get upset if i did it wrong. Also, does anyone know what this format called? I know that's a stupid question to ask but i don't remember if i hear or seen the name of this format before.
