She had not expected this. After all the sneaking around and acting suspicious, Ambrosia guessed she just expected, well, more!

Instead she found herself standing in the girl's bathroom, a startled looking Remus sitting in front of her, stirring the wooden spoon inside a large black cauldron.

Still gaping like an idiot she turned to face Black, who had just entered the room after her.
"What the hell is going on here? Don't tell me that all this time you've been sneaking around and acting all weird and mysterious just to make some kind of potion?!" Sirius looked startled at the sudden attention. He shot a pleading look at Remus, asking for help. All he got was a shrug and a head shake from the other boy. Giving Remus his best thanks for nothing glare, he turned back to the girl who was now poking him in the chest, ranting on and on about how stupid he was, and why they were hiding a potion in a girl's bathroom of all things and how stupid she was for thinking they were up to something bad...

He quickly grabbed her hand to stop her from continuingly poking him and gave her a shake to snap her out of her rant.

"Ok, first up, I'm not stupid. I'm one of the top student in my year so you can stop insulting me, got it? Second of all, this is a haunted girl's bathroom, therefore it's the perfect place to hide anything you don't want others to find. And lastly, stop poking me. Your bony little fingers are gonna leave a bruise on my chest." He let go of her hand to rub at the spot she had been poking at.

Taking the opportunity she quickly stepped away from the two boys, pulling her wand out of her pocket and standing in front of the door.

"What is going on here? What is in that Cauldron and why are you hiding it in a haunted girl's bathroom? And if this bathroom is haunted as you say, why haven't I seen the ghost yet?!"

"Don't hex me!" Remus had both his hands up, and was currently trying to hide behind the cauldron. Black just rolled his eyes at his friend before turning back to Ambrosia.

"Ok, look. It's really not what you think. We were just brewing a… ahem… a good luck potion for, um, for James, yes. Because he needs lots of luck, for stuff and things." He scratched the back of his neck and gave her his best smile, hoping she would just drop it. But if anything, he had achieved the opposite. Ambrosia was now more curious than ever. Narrowing her eyes at his rambling she contemplated his words, trying to figure out what was really going on. Despite what she had said earlier, she was not stupid. He was obviously hiding something. If his rambling hadn't given him away, than the confused look Remus was giving him would have.

"Why would Potter need the Felix Felicis potion?"

Black looked stumped for a second. He scratched his chin, before giving her a triumphant smirk.

"Well, not that it's any of your business or anything, but James has fallen hopelessly in love with Lily Evans. But, and this is the funny part, she seems to abhor him and nothing he does has worked to win her over. So, as his best mate, I am making him this Felix Felly something potion so that he can win the fair maidens heart and live happily ever after. Or something like that."

"What?! You can't use fake luck to make someone fall for you, that's cheating!"

Sirius gave her a what can you do shrug and gave her a winning smile. Ambrosia was just about to retort on the wrongness of their stupid plan when she heard a noise. She shot a panicked look at the two Gryffindors, before opening the door an inch and glancing out. There was a soft glow coming from around the corner at the end of the corridor.

"Oh god, a teacher. What are we going to do?" There was a commotion behind her, before the lights went out and someone yanked at her robe.

"Quick, follow me" Black whispered. Before she could even begin to protest, he was dragging her out the door and down the corridor, away from the light.

"What about your friend? Are you just going to leave him there?" She had managed to free her robe from his grip and was running behind him, trying to keep pace with his long strides.

"Don't worry about Remus, he'll be fine. Worry about us instead!"

As if saying that had brought bad luck upon them, as they turned a corner they ran smack dab into somebody, knocking them both to the ground.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't two students out of bed after curfew!" There standing before them, a smug look on his face was Filch.

"Just wait until the headmaster hears about this!"

Ambrosia was sitting in the Hogwarts Express, looking out the window and trying very hard to ignore everything around her. She had been so close. She had passed all her exams, got good results in all her subjects and thought she'd finish the year on a high. Her parents would not be happy when they read the letter Dumbledore had sent them.

She could already picture their faces. Her mother would be disappointed, angry and ashamed all at once. Her father would most likely shake his head at her and go on to ignore her all summer. At least she'd have her brother there too.

Eldon had been angry when he found out. But at least he wasn't angry at her, believing it was all Sirius Blacks doing. After all, why would she be involved with a Gryffindor.

Ambrosia scowled at her own reflection. Why couldn't she have just let it be? Why didn't she listen to Maggie?

And now her perfect year was ruined. After being caught with Black after hours, she had been escorted to the Headmasters office and lectured about the rules and the consequences for breaking them.

Ando so, both her and Sirius had received detention. Of course, it being the end of the year, they were delayed to the begging of next year.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, everyone now thought that her and Black had spent the night together doing, ahem, disreputable things.

Ambrosia found herself blushing at the thought. As if! Never in a million years!

She felt herself jolted from her thoughts when Maggie shook her softly.

"Come on Ambrosia. Where here!"

The train was slowly entering Kings Cross station, gradually slowing to a stop. Ambrosia took a deep breath, willing her nerves to go away. She was tempted to just stay in the carriage until the start of school next year, but knew she had to face her parents eventually. So without looking back, she grabbed her trunk, gave Maggie a hug, promising to write to her and visit when possible, and departed the train.
