Me-Hey, you guys! We're back with Pokemon Ranger: Shadows Of Almia! My Way!
Keith-Yolo!
Me-Wassup, brotha?!
Keith-Nuthin' much.
Kate-So, what's up?
Me-We officially have 100 reviews! Rick and Smexy, thank you so much for being our 100th reviewer.
Barlow-Yeah, thanks a lot, dude.
Luana-NightcoreAddictXx does not own Pokemon!
Me-And read on! But first, here are the replies to the reviews.
Angelo del Cielo Nero-Sowwy! I just felt like that was a good place to end. Virtual Glameow! :)
Guest-Ah, I get what you mean. Virtual Glameow! :)
sk8boards4ever-Yup, that is my life right there. You can blame Black Butler for my absence; it's so addicting to read Kuro fanfictions and write some of my own! Virtual Glameow! :)
PKMN Trainer Crystal-Thank you very much. Virtual Glameow! :)
StarShine65-Aw, thanks. Don't worry, you get to find out now! Virtual Glameow! :)
Bulbalink-Hmmm...you know, I have been comtemplating on whether or not I should write a lemon in general. I had only rated it M for Keith and the other guy's perverted actions and comments throughout the story. But, if I do, I will put a disclaimer out (just gotta pray I don't get kicked off the site if I do). Virtual Glameow! :)
Adrienne Dark-Thanks a lot. Keith will be back soon, don't you worry about that. Virtual Glameow! :)
A person-I just add them to make it a little interesting. It just sounds boring if I just follow it with the trio of Kate, Keith, and Rhythmi, hence why this is told my way. Virtual Glameow! :)
Rich and Smexy-Thanks for being ze 100th reviewer! No, you don't a prize. Sowwy. Nah, I'm kidding. I'll PM you later and tell you what it is. Virtual Glameow! :)
Kate's POV
"Oh my god..."
There were more hypnotized Pokemon parading around in the back of the cave. That was when I noticed that they were parading around some kind of mechanism. I arched an eyebrow up in confusion.
"What in the heck is that?" I asked myself out loud as Crawford finally managed to catch up to me.
"Kate! Are you o- - -" his eyes landed on the mechanism. "What da hey is that red thing?!" he nearly exclaimed.
"How am I supposed to know?" I answered.
"Hey, do you think this is the thing that is generating that weird pulse? I haven't seen anything like it." he looked over at me for a split second and then back at the mechanism. "Is this thing making the Pokemon act so weirdly? They all seem to be in pain..." he trailed off.
"How do we save them?" I asked.
"Hmmm...I would say that the quickest way is to stop this machine." Crawford suggested.
"How do we do that, though?" I asked.
"I don't know..." he began tapping his chin with his finger, trying to think of a way to stop the machine.
"Point at it with your Styler for a second. It could give us info on how to stop it." he suggested.
I pointed it at the machine and nothing came up. I frowned.
"Nothing came up." I looked at the entryway behind Crawford. "Hey, what's in there?" I asked.
Crawford shrugged.
"I don't know. Let's go in and see what's in there." he said as we went in.
We stepped in and the first thing we noticed was how the Pokemon in here were not affected by the strange pulse.
"It seems to be that the pulse isn't affecting the Pokemon in here." he noted.
"It's out of range. We should be able to capture Pokemon here and befriend them here." I spoke up.
Crawford looked at me like as if he were impressed.
"Sharp..." he trailed off.
"Thank the Ranger School." I told him.
We wandered around the cave, looking for some kind of Pokemon that could help us. That was when a wild Nosepass tried to attack us.
"Kate! Watch out for that Nosepass!" he shouted.
I was quick to draw as I whipped out my Styler and I drew circles around the Nosepass. It began to hurl rocks at us, some snapping the circles that I drew. After a few extra moments, I finally captured the Nosepass.
"There we go. Maybe this can help?" I questioned, glancing over at Crawford.
"Who knows? Can it smash things?" he asked.
"It's got rocks." I told him.
"Good enough. Let's try it." he said as we began to make our way out. Before we could step out, we heard a noise. We whipped our heads over to another entryway, where there was a huge boulder blocking it.
"Kate, wait." Crawford pointed at the boulder. "I think I hear something...it sounds like a Gastrodon crying for help." he said.
"Is it trapped?" I asked.
"No, it's not." Crawford pointed at the rock with his Styler. "Of course it's fricking trapped! Don't you see the damn boulder in front of it?!" he snapped.
"Shut your damn self. Let's break the Gastrodon out." I told him, annoyed by his sarcasticness moments ago.
"Use the Nosepass. It can break the rock and break the Gastrodon out." Crawford told me.
"It sounds like we're breaking a Pokemon out of jail." I muttered.
"Just do it, Kate." he said.
I sighed before looking over at the Nosepass.
"Nosepass! Break this boulder with Crush!" I shouted, pointing at the boulder.
The Nosepass made its Pokemon noise before smashing the boulder into bits. It fell into a pile and we moved the rocks away to give us some room to step around.
"Thanks a lot, Nosepass!" I told the Pokemon.
The Pokemon made its noise one last time before fleeing.
"That should do it." Crawford wiped some sweat away from his forehead with the back of his hand. "Let's go in." he said.
I nodded in agreement as I followed Crawford in. We saw the Gastrodon laying around in the small cavern. I pulled out my Styler and pointed it at the Pokemon.
"Capture...ON!" I shouted as I began to draw circles around the Gastrodon. It occassionally threw blue blobs at my Styler, but I avoided them. Sooner or later, I caught the Gastrodon.
"There. Capture complete." I stated.
"Hey...Kate, I think I figured it out." Crawford stated suddenly.
"Figured out what?" I questioned.
"I think I figured out how to destroy those machines. It's like the elements! Water douses out the fire, fire thaws out the ice, and lots more! In this case, by using Gastrodon, it will destroy that red machine." Crawford explained.
"That sounds smart. How'd you figure it out?" I asked.
"The color of the machine. It reminded me of fire." Crawford stated.
"Smart thinking. Let's go try it out." I told him as we exited the small cavern. We made it back over to the machine and I pointed my Styler at it.
"Gastrodon, use Soak on the red mechanism!" I shouted.
The Gastrodon spat out water, soaking the machine in it. The machine sputtered before exploding, bits flying all over. I screamed as Crawford lunged for me, protecting me and my Pachirisu. Crawford looked over his shoulder and his eyes went wide.
"Crawford...what's wrong?" I asked worriedly, looking up at him.
He got off of me and helped me up. I watched as the yellow swirly symbol disappeared and the Pokemon who were under hypnosis fled.
"Huh. That machine was the cause, after all." he looked at me. "We were able to save them." he said.
"That's true. But..." I walked over to the machine and observed it, running my finger along the red paint covered in ash. "This machine is quite shady. Suspicious, even. I don't like the look of it." I told him.
"Me neither. I think we should take it back to the base for analysis." Crawford suggested, coming up beside me.
I nodded.
"Yeah. Let's take it back. It can't be TOO heavy, right?" I questioned.
"Aaaaagh!"
We flung the heavy parts of the machine into the base, startling the rest of the gang, who were currently eating lunch.
"We underestimated it..." Crawford grumbled.
"Yeah...we sure did..." I breathed out.
Barlow gave us a questioning look as he slurped on his pork ramen.
"You guys took a while." he noted.
"Well, no duh. We just hauled this piece of metal back here, you dumbass." Crawford snapped in annoyance.
Elaine looked over Barlow's shoulder and gasped.
"Oh my god! Is that a machine?!" she nearly exclaimed.
We nodded slowly.
"Yeah. Why...?" I questioned.
"I love machines!" she dropped her provolone cheese and salami sandwich and she made her way over to them. "I wanna tear it apart." she said with a devious glint in her eyes.
"Um...can you tear it apart when we put the damn thing down?" Crawford asked.
Elaine pouted.
"Fine...put it over there, though." Elaine said.
We sighed deeply before dragging the machine over to where Elaine told us to put it. As we dropped it down, we heard Barlow clap from behind us. We whirled around to face him.
"Good job, you two. I call this a Mission Clear!" he declared.
We then did our poses to show that our Mission had been cleared. Once we were done, we looked at Barlow.
"Okay, let's not waste any time here." Barlow looked over at me. "KAte, I am now promoting you to Ranger Rank 1!" he declared.
My eyes went wide, my jaw dropping in shock.
"What?!" I nearly exclaimed.
"Wow! Congrats, Kate!" Luana practically jumped on me. "You just got promoted! This kind of thing is worth celebrating." she noted.
"It is. But, that can wait until dinner, Luana." Barlow told her.
I mentally groaned, knowing what dinner would be like tonight. That is, if it could even be called dinner.
"Aw..." Luana pouted.
"Oh, by the way," Elaine made her way over to me and Crawford. "You should check this out. Seems like one of your classmates is making a name for himself." she told him.
"Huh? I hope it's not Drake making a complete fool out of himself..." I muttered, remembering the one time when Drake almost got arrested for osmething stupid he did when he snuck out one night. Once I saw the person in the picture, I froze.
Keith, the new hero!
That was what it had said across the paper with a picture of Keith and his partner, which was a Floatzel.
"Oh my god..." I trailed off, my voice cracking a little.
Why was I getting like this? Why was I getting so emotional over seeing a picture of Keith?
I then felt a tear roll down my cheek and gasped.
"Why am I crying...?" I choked out.
Luana gave me a sympathetic look as she put her hand on my back, rubbing it soothingly.
"Should I tell you?" she asked.
"Don't." Crawford shot Luana a serious look. "I think it would be best if she figured it on her own." he suggested.
Luana nodded, but still kept rubbing my back in an attempt to calm me down.
"Hey," Barlow rested a hand on my shoulder as I felt the newspaper slip out of my hand. "How about you wash up? You smeel like dirt and gunk." he said.
I choked out a laugh.
"Okay..." I trailed off before heading into the back of the Ranger Base.
Crawford's POV
I watched Kate as she headed off to the back of the Ranger Base.
"Do you think she'll ever figure it out?" I asked, looking back at the others.
Luana shrugged.
"I know she's smart. But," she glanced over at the door to the back with a worried look on her face. "I think that she's just oblivious to love..." she trailed off.
Me-Yup. I just did it.
Crawford-Ooops! You did it again.
Kate-Aw, come on, Hannah!
Luana-Why leave it there?
Me-Because I'm a fricking boss! *laughs haughtily*
Keith-*sweat drops* Really?
Barlow-R&R please! If you do, you get a virtual Pichu! :D
