Pan started looking around in her closet about what all possible dresses she could wear on her first date. She had heard people saying that the First Date, First Kiss and the First Love are special to any girl in the universe. The problem is that she never had bought any party wear dress. All that she had was jeans with the tank top which are always baggy. With a few exceptions of the dresses her mom had bought her. She felt that they showed her curve so much and is inappropriate to wear.
Pan dialed in Trunks number. "Trunks…" She trailed off.
"Yes Pan."
"I had never been to any date before and so I am not sure what kind of dress I should wear and so. My mom is also out of station and so can I come in my normal cloths."
"Hey, Come on. I like my friend with the way she is. I wanted a date with the girl I know and not the girl inside some Party dress."
Pan smiled and said, "And Trunks, I will be at the mall and You can pick me from over there."
"Sure Pan."
The girls that Trunks had dated before used to wear the smallest and cute dresses with mostly the curves showing off. And they were always ready to throw themselves to him and drag him to bed. But Pan is so different and naïve.

Trunks came to the mall which Pan had mentioned the day before for him to pick. Trunks was scared that he would be identified by anyone around as there were too many people around in the mail. He entered a gift shop with the boutique of red roses and started wandering around when he saw a nice couple ceramic doll which looked so glittering in the lights around. He bought the doll thinking he could present it to pan. Pan also entered the mall and she entered a book shop and bought some book on managing people to present to Trunks.
Pan called Trunks and they met up each other and shared their gifts. Trunks was surprised with her giving him a gift. "Pan, I am wondering or maybe I guess that during dates the guys used to buy the gifts to the girls and you surprised me with a gift"
"Hmmm... Trunks, you don't like my book? I thought it might be useful for your career path. I thought a gifting a book could be more appropriate."
"Hey pan, I never said I didn't like that. Just that I was telling…" Trunks trailed off without completing the sentence.
Understanding his inconvenience, Pan continued "Trunks, have you dated before? And May be do you have a girlfriend?"
Trunks could not hide anything to her and so he continued.
"I dated a few girls when I was young, but they were not sincere to me as much I was with them. I do not have a girlfriend right now considering my past experiences."
Pan face got tensed and it is fading with sadness. Trunks could understand what is going in her mind. Probably she is thinking that he is a playboy.
Trunks smiled at her and continued, "If you think I am a playboy, then you are probably wrong. All I could say is that I am still a virgin."
Pan almost laughed at the way he spoke. "I am not judging you Trunks. Since we are on a date, I thought maybe we could learn about each other."
Trunks thought for a second that if he were in a restaurant or in open place in mall he would be easily recognized by someone as the VP of capsule corps.,
"Can we have some fun here? Maybe we can play in the funhouse here and have lunch then."
"Sounds good"
They went inside the fun house where the small kids were playing video games and so on. Pan had been always on the books and had never been to a place like this. They played games together and had so much fun which pan had never experienced before. She can't blame her parents as they never stopped her from doing anything, but she never went for this.
They had lunch outside of the mall in a simple food corner and had chitchats on many things around them and about the people passing them. The world looked wonderful for them as they enjoyed every moment of their togetherness. "So, what are we going to do next? We just had lunch and it is not like every day I could be with my friend. I would have this memory painted with fun and love."
Trunks stopped when he said love in a flow and then managed to divert the topic. "Why don't we walk into a amusement part nearby and roam around for a while? You can suggest the one you like and would like to go"
"Hmmm, that seems to be a good idea. But i had not been to one in past few years. Maybe I would have been to one in my childhood. Sorry, I am not a fun type like the other girls in the world."
Trunks surfed the internet and found a nearby park and went there. They had the best moments of the day filled with fun and joy. Pan had popcorn, candy and had fun rides around. She was scared to enter most of the fun rides as it is either the first time for ever or because the heights which she is feared of.
Trunks understanding her nervousness and said, "You are with one of the strongest persons in the universe and you are afraid of heights." Realizing what he just spoke, he bit his tongue and started laughing. "Just kidding"
As the daylight started to diminish, their happy moments came to a halt. They decided to have dinner in a nearby place and sat in the table facing the Street. Both sat silent and did not even utter a word as they were both having multiple thoughts about them.
Trunks breaking the silence, "I suppose we have to order something as we came here for eating. Can we?".
They ordered the food and completed dinner and it is time to say their farewell for the day.
Both started walking unconsciously together for a while along the roadside.
Trunks stammered and asked Pan, "Pan, I want to ask you something. Just listen and take your time on your answers." Pan responded wondering what is this about answers when he just want to tell something? Maybe he is trying to propose me or trying to seduce me?
"Sure Trunks."
Trunks after a short thought said with a smile, "Pan, I think I love you and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. You can take your time before responding but I am expecting a positive answer."
Pan could not say anything at that hour though her heart wanted to accept his love, but her brain was afraid to do so. She tried hard to hide her thoughts as it reflected in her face and responded.
"Trunks, I am not sure what to respond as we have met only few days ago. Also, I am not aware of you completely. To be frank, I do not know if I can really trust you."
"Ok then. I had to return to my hometown sooner as my job here is almost complete. I will come back in 3 months to hear your answers. I hope 3 months should be good enough for you to answer either Yes or No"
With that they parted their ways of their respective places.
~~~~~~~Return of Trunks~~~~~~~~
Most of the merger formalities are complete and Trunks had to go back home. He called Pan and told her that he is leaving that day for Japan and it would be nice if they met each other before he left the country. They met in the nearby roadside shop and had their snacks and left for their places. Trunks entered the plane leaving his heart with Pan. Pan sat in the living room thinking about Trunks and she heard the calling bell alarming with a surprise entry of her parents. They were overjoyed as they can come early to home to see Pan. Videl wanted to know more details about the man her daughter met and how did the date go on for them and so on.
After they had their dinner, Videl started questioning Pan of the details of this mysterious man. Pan told everything that had happened in the past days to Videl and stated that she felt a special bonding with him which she never felt with any guy she met all those years. When Pan said that he proposed to her, Videl was over excited and asked what her response was.
Pan simply stated, "I did not say anything. He said he will come back after 3 months."
"Oh my baby. When you like him so much, You could have given him a chance. But that is ok, He will be back for you if he truly loves you!"
Videl felt strange when she heard the word Capsule Corp., being the company that Pan is doing her internship. Then after a short discussion with Gohan, she felt peace and left for her work.
~~~~~~~~~Pan and Trunks~~~~~~~~
A month had passed from the time Trunks left from US, but he still could not forget the memories that he had with Pan which he felt as wonderful. Every day, he will wake up counting the number of days left for the 3 months completion such that he could go back to Pan for her answer. Similarly, Pan could not resist thinking about him whenever she got free from her work. She tried to be occupied with the work when she is in the company such she could suppress the memory of them together. Pan and Trunks were both sure that they were in deep love with each other. Since Pan is new for all these, she could not be sure if this was love or just attraction.
