It's been awhile, I know. Have this little piece of shit as an apology?
The next day went by with nothing more than a few passing texts from Adam with an excuse of spending time with his mom for the day. She knew something was wrong but had no idea how to fix it. It wasn't like she did it on purpose. Her hand had slid, that was all. Yet the look in his eyes told her that Adam thought differently. Without any other idea of how to fix it, Bianca did something she never thought she would do: call Clare. After a very awkward phone call, the two girls agreed to meet at The Dot to talk.
"I just don't know what to do…I didn't mean to upset him or anything." Bianca sat with her head in her hands as she explained what happened the night before.
With a sigh from the other girl, Bianca looked up as she started to talk. "You can't let Adam know I told you this, okay?" She gave a nod. "You know he's…sensitive about all that. It's because…" Clare kept pausing and it only made Bianca worry more. Maybe he didn't want her at all. "Fiona used him," that wasn't what she expected. "He loved her, you know. And it turned out that the second time they got together, she realized that she was actually gay and only got back together with him because of, well, his body. He doesn't like to talk about it but he did tell me once that she tried to touch him one time when they were kissing and it freaked him out then she told him how she felt." Clare took a sip of her drink. "Maybe you touching him made him think of that?"
"Oh my god, I had no idea that was why it didn't work out with them. So you think maybe he's afraid it's going to be the same with me?" With this new information, Bianca knew she had to explain to him that it wasn't going to be like that. She had genuine feelings for him.
