For the people that don't know, a red box is just like a movie rental place except it's like a stand at grocery places and you get it there instead of the movie rental store.
Jake, Rachel and Jared were over watching some action movie Jake had rented from a red box in town. My phone went off when there was a quiet pause in the movie and it was Edward. You moved remember, what's your new address? I laughed at it and sent him the address.
"What are you so smiley about?" Jake asked.
"Nothing." I said and the movie had just got into an action scene when the doorbell rang. I rushed to the door shoving past Leah who was going to get it. "It's for me." I said quickly and she threw her hands up like I was about to shoot her. I waited for her to walk away then I opened the door and there was Edward. I grinned from ear to ear and stepped outside shutting the door behind me.
"Hello." Edward greeted and I threw myself at him and he chuckled and kissed me. "I missed you too." Edward said pulling away.
I smirked and blushed. "How was your flight?"
Edward had got a flight leaving Chicago at 6 in the morning. He got in Washington at 9 but spent the day hunting and setting his stuff up in the old Cullen house where he was 'staying'.
"Good, it rained as soon as I went to get on the plane but was still able to take off, then it rained when I got off the plane." Edward said.
"Good." I smirked. "The wedding is supposed to be overcast."
"They don't know about me do they?" Edward asked noticing my stalling with my questions.
"Charlie and Sue do, but Rachel, Jared and Jake are inside, they brought over a movie last minute and you were supposed to be a surprise at the wedding so I wouldn't have to deal with supernatural drama." I said.
"I can come back later Bell." Edward said, "I don't mind because I totally see where you're coming from."
"No, better not. I smell like vampire now anyway." I mumbled and grabbed his hand.
"Bella, you're going to have a war at your own father's wedding." Edward said.
I laughed and shook my head. "They'll get over it, and the only war would be if my mother showed up unannounced and crashed the wedding."
Edward just rolled his eyes and we kissed again and walked inside. "Oh Lord what is that smell?" Leah hollered. We walked into the living room/den where everyone was. Everyone except Charlie and Sue gasped at the sight and Rachel paused the movie.
Jake and Jared were just about to yell something when Sue cut them off. "Edward, so nice of you to accept my invitation." Sue smiled and greeted Edward with a hug.
"Edward, this is Sue, Sue this is my boyfriend Edward."
"Nice to meet you." Edward offered. "Hello Chief Swan." He said greeting Charlie with a handshake. He then said hello to everyone else.
"You invited him, but not Mitch!" Leah asked pissed off.
"Of course I wanted the whole family to be there, and Leah I told you why Mitch isn't invited." Sue said, "Edward is a part of the family, and from what it looks like for now on."
Edward and I looked at each other while I blushed. "You two are getting married too?" Rachel asked crooking an eyebrow.
"Hopefully in a year or two, there's no engagement yet." Edward said.
"Yeah guys, chill, we are like brand new, and it's only been like a month." I said. Jake was so mad, and so hurt. He started to tremble and Edward was slowly pushing me behind him without anyone noticing.
Rachel smacked her hands to her thighs and sighed out loud scaring Jake out of it. "Well Bell, we were starting to think your dry spell was going to last forever." Rachel joked, my face along with Charlie's turned beat red. "Seriously I was joking." She laughed and gave me and Edward a hug. "You treat her well." She said sternly.
"Never expect anything less of me." Edward said.
"Edward, this is Rachel my best friend and Jacob's older sister. Her boyfriend Jared and that is Jacob." I said pointing everyone out, "These are Sue's children and soon to be my step siblings Seth and Leah."
"Nice to meet you all officially, Bella has talked very highly of all of you, especially you Jacob."
"Well isn't that nice." Jake seared. "I better get going, early day tomorrow right Charlie." Jake said looking to Charlie.
"Don't leave on my part." Edward said quickly, "I came to see Bella then I was just leaving, I've got to pick up my tux from the cleaners."
"No really I don't want to be here anymore." Jake said. "I'm tired of being toyed with." He mumbled looking in my direction and I looked to my feet and felt like my heart was just ripped out of my chest then stomped on.
"Jake…" I whispered.
"See you at home Rachel, see everyone tomorrow." He muttered and left.
The air became awkward as we all heard the door slam shut and I looked around. "Well Edward, come have a seat."
"I apologize for my brother, he's a jerk." Rachel said.
"Don't worry about it." Edward said, "I know the feeling."
"I don't really care anymore." Seth said exasperated.
"What are you talking about?" Charlie asked.
"I don't care about who my sister dates, I could care less!" Seth said. "I'm tired of taking sides."
"That's nice to hear Seth." I agreed. "I am on the same boat."
"TEAM SWITZERLAND!" Seth declared and gave me a high five.
After about 20 minutes of Edward catching up and telling people about himself Jared blurted about that he was hungry and wanted to go out. "I'm up for it." Rachel said.
"You want to go?" Edward asked looking at me. I nodded and the only people who got up to go was Rachel, Jared, Edward and myself. "I'm not going anywhere with you." Leah snooted walking past me.
"She feels betrayed." Edward whispered. "You two were hitting it off so well and then I came."
"We'll talk about it in the car." I said putting my hand on his stomach waiting for Rachel and Jared to stop talking to Sue and Charlie.
"I'll see you later tonight Dad." I said and Charlie kissed my cheek and told me to be careful.
"Jared, you know I hate pizza hut." Rachel said as we met up in front of the doors.
"Me too Rach, we'll just get salad."
"Fine, pick something else that is open at this hour of the night." Jared said then looked to Edward, "Chicks." He said rolling his eyes and we hit him.
We settled on Pizza Hut now seeing that it was the only thing open at this hour. Rachel and I got salad while Edward just ordered a coke. Jared of course ordered a pizza to eat by himself. "So what happens now?" Jared asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"What's going to happen tomorrow at the wedding?" Edward clarified.
"That was such a vague question, how did you know that?" Rachel asked.
I smirked. "I never told you did I?"
"What?" Jared asked.
"He's a mind reader." I smiled.
Jared grabbed his head and Edward and I laughed at him, "Dude you know like all the tribe secrets now!"
"They weren't very well secretive." Edward said. "I was there when your ancestors made that treaty."
I continued to eat as Edward told them about what happen that day. Edward, Jared and Rachel were friends by the end of the night…
Hey I know it sucked. But that's why I posted chapter 10! Right now I have up to like chapter 20 on paper. So bear with me, I'm in the midst of typing 14 so yeah. ALSO my beta hasn't beta-ed this story since the 2nd chapter. Things just didn't work out so just to let you know if you see any mistakes it's not her fault, its mine. ;) REVIEW even if it was s crummy chapter.
